Sammy, as a matter of fact, did follow Blaine. As he caught up with the taller boy, he seemed to be looking a little bitter; his face wasn't a nauseous shade of green, at least.

"So, is this it?" Sammy said, squinting up at the school. It wasn't that he needed glasses- never had- the damned sun was getting in his eyes- and raising his body temperature, as well. If this was the norm for Cinnabar, well, Sam might be leaving the school long before he though he would've. "So what now? Is there going to be an assembly, or are we going to just find a dorm room?" Sam glanced at Blaine, assuming the guy, as a resident of the island, would know more about this than he did.

"Hell if I know," Blaine responded with a shrug. "I was just going to follow wherever those dames were heading, they seemed to be akey of things. That hall over there looks like a likely start," he said pointing at a building that seemed to dominate the entrance area and obviously wasn't a dorm.

So Blaine started walking, only vaguely aware of the posters that seemed to be around him, pointing to that same place. He vaguely wondered if he should let Nero out to have some exercise, but decided against it; his partner would likely be bored anyway. Eventually, he entered the hall, which was both large and largely boring.

Excepting, of course, the girls who had taken residence in it. Blaine grinned a moment, and after a second, chose a seat behind the nearest group, sitting in an aloof posture as he awaiting something to happen.

Somehow Noriko and Pixie found their way to the assembly hall. She looked around and saw a lot of the seats being occupied by the other students. It didn't look like she was going to find a good seat, but she grinned happily when she saw Lyla sitting down and an empty seat beside her. She hesitated wondering if walking next to her after she ran away earlier - obviously having felt uncomfortable - be a good thing. "Well if she wants me to leave all she has to do is say so, besides you can't make any friends if you don't take any chances. Right Pixie?"

"Vul-pix!" Pixie yipped standing right beside her trainer, and following her when she made her way to the empty seat beside Lyla. She curled herself beside Noriko's foot once again resting. "Hey, looks like we meet again." She said to Lyla before laughing, "Sorry, it sounded much better in my head. But I wanted to ask if you were ok. You ran off pretty quickly earlier. Not that I'm offended or anything, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything I did or said."

Sam, after a moment of forcing Seth into his Poke Ball (he though it would be improper to let his Pokemon run rampant in the assembly, but catching the wily Growlithe proved to be quite a task), ambled into the hall, keen eyes examining everything, before sitting down next to Blaine. Although he barely knew the boy, and frankly hadn't liked him to begin with, he found himself beginning to grow to appreciate the greaser and his rather flamboyant personality. Besides, he barely know anyone here, so it was probably best to sit next to the one he was actually somewhat familiar with.

"I hope this show gets on the road soon," Sam said, "Or I might die of heat stroke before it begins." Noticing Blaine's interest in the girls in front of them, he added, "So, you just going to sit there and daydream about them, or actually go up and talk to them?"

Blaine shook his head, sighing a little at his new friend's ignorance.

"So, you country boys really don't know anything, do you? In this modern age you let the girls, come to you. If you fetch after them, you look like a dude* barking up their tree, and it makes them think you can't do any better. The trick is to make them think you're too good for them, see? Then they're interested, because now you're a challenge. Learn from the best, man, just sitting back and looking pretty is the best way to go about picking up dames," he said with a cocky grin, that was almost immediately lost when he noticed the companion of one of the girls sitting in front of him.

"Well hello there, lady," he said while leaning forward to the vulpix sitting on the floor, just visible through the gaps in the chairs. He gave a small wave; despite his usual persona, the greaser did make special exceptions to his rules for fire-type pokemon. Whomever owned the vulpix definitely had good taste, which was something he could respect.

*Helpful Tip: In the 50/60s, Dude meant 'uncool person'. It gained basically the opposite connotation a couple decades later.

Pixie raised her head slightly staring at the boy who spoke to her. She watched him through her dark black eyes, observing him for a while, and in the end coming to the conclusion that there was something about him that she liked. Pixie caught the scent of another Vulpix on him - maybe that was why. Pixie looked up at her trainer, seeing that Noriko was still waiting for an answer from Lyla, before standing and stretching her two front paws, then slipping between the seats and infront of Blain. Pixie sat in front of him staring at him expectantly, "Vulpix~!"

Lyla had a bead of sweat drop down as Noriko sat next to her and began to talk. It seems that she didn't realize what Lyla had said, or maybe she did and she was just being nice about it. There were a lot of different responces she could give, but she sat on the best one. 'It's, it's nothing, don't worry about it' she replied, but heard Blaine. He was the dragster. She turned in her seat and gave the greaser a proper 'evil eye'. 'You're the one who caused that race with the bus' she said icily, all nervousness evaporated.

Bline grinned and bent down, rubbing the Vulpix's ears with his fingers and stroking her back a couple times. "Mhm, you're a pretty one," he cooed gently. "Lovely coat, seems well-groomed. Tougher shoulder muscles, probably a battler rather than a housepet..."

he put a finger by the side of the vulpix' neck, in the crook of her collarbone. "...And a fairly nice internal temp. I'm surprised, usually I don't find so many outsiders who know how to take proper care of a fire type," he mused aloud. He blinked and raised his head when he heard a girl address him, and smiled again.

"Yeah, that was me," he said with a grin. "C'mon, you can't say it wasn't a more interesting drive here than it would have been otherwise, right? 'Sides, you got here more quickly."

he continued scratching the ears of the vulpix while he spoke, which led to him stooping down a little rather than laying back in his usual devil-may-care position, but it didn't matter too much.

"Some people have a soul on fire; we can't just sit back and allow societies' rules to box us in all day in, day out. We need to burn, soar and escape- that bus driver knew what I mean. Sometimes you just gotta race, and damn the consequences."

Lyla glared more harshly, this would really be terifying by now. 'And despite the fact that putting everyone on the road and in the bus at risk, is that part of the soul of fire? You know what? I see, that's how it is. Say, did you know how during Yurei services, the speaker becomes possessed by a spirit in order to indulge great truth in a seance. They certainly have quite a bit to say don't you know? I just wonder right now what YOU have to say, I'm pretty sure you have some rather interesting truths to divulge' she stated, despite the overwhelming threat behind it, she stayed composed.

Brokenheart: PLEASE remember the 2-3 post rule
Amaya had indeed changed her mind and went directly for the assembly hall instead of the dorms, she wouldn't have had time to get assigned to her room before she had to be at the assembly anyways.

Finding seats had proved to be a bit difficult as there were a lot of students already there as the bus had arrived there before them. SHe had managed to getr herself a seat though and Regiana had seated herself beside her, sittinga s pristinely as a queen. She had called back Medea by now as she didn't want to risk her being a bother during the introductions and a lot of other trainers that had earlier had their pokémon out of their pokéballs had chosen to do the same. It was better to be safe than sorry, she'd be mortified if Medea cawed during the introductions.

Noriko smiled at Lyla but it quickly turned into one of shock when she turned on a boy that was behind them. She turned as well seeing the greaser boy from before - the one who got bowled over by the growlithe - and beside him was the owner of said growlithe, Sam. Now she knew why Lyla was so mad, and to be honest Noriko was kind of peeved by the greaser's attitude. Not only that but it was because of him that half of the bus got a good view of her underware. It was then she noticed that instead of sitting in his seat he was kneeling on the floor, and petting a Vulpix. Noriko instantly recognized the Vulpix as her Pixie, the red ribbon around her neck a dead give away.

It surprised her, since Pixie doesn't ever go up to strangers, and from the way he was petting the fire-type, he obviously liked them. Either that or he had a Vulpix of his own - which, now that she thinks of it, remembered that he did infact have a small Vulpix beside him. Pixie - noticing her trainer spotted her - nuzzled Blaine's hand before hopping into Noriko's outstretched arms.

"Pix-Pix!" Pixie yipped towards Blaine as if saying 'bye'. Noriko decided to stay quiet though not wanting to get in the middle of Lyla's anger - she was actually kind of scary, almost like her gastly.

Cage had followed the others into the assembly hall. He had called back Tyrant before the two had even entered the hall; considering there would be quite a bit of trainers there, he didn't want to risk Tyrant attacking or bothering others. He followed Amaya and Regianna, yet didn't want to sit next to any of them. From prior conversations and body language, he figured the Micky guy had an interest in one of them, probably Amaya, given Regianna's... He took off his shades to wipe them once, making sure no one got a view of his eyes. With a flick of his wrist he put them back on. Cold personality.

"YEAH!" Shouted a trainer in the back. Cage glanced towards the sound, it was merely a person yelling at another one. Something about their Pokemon, he guessed.

The place was packed, so he decided to take a seat next to Regianna. He slouched away from her however, to give her that space she always seemed to need.

"If your looking for a Quick fling, I guess that'd work." Micky said from behind Blaine, in reponse to his 'Mastery' of pulling Girls. "Either that, or nobodies in for personality on this Island." Micky said, sitting down behind Blaine, leaning on the seat next to Blaine. His Guitar was 'sitting' on the chair beside him, glinting in the sun light. The portable amp and the Connector wire were underneath the chair the Guitar was 'sat' upon, and the wire was wrapped around the Amp.
He'd come in about half a minute before Blaine had said that, after giving up on trying to chase down the Girls. He'd expected the whole group to stay together, so was surprised when the girls darted off to find their dorms. Micky didn't mind now though, as the girls were only two rows infront of him, and he could stare at Amaya through the whole assembly if he wanted to.
He sighed and looked towards Blaine again. "You need talent to pull a girl, like me and My guitar. The amount of women that have swooned over me are more than the amount of women you'll ever see in your life time." Micky said, grinning. Of course, he was over exaggerating, but who cared. He looked cool either way, and had a Guitar to prove his rock star status. He'd probably need to prove himself to Blaine, but who cared. Micky could do it. What kind of Rock star would he be if he chickened out.

LOL at CSI Miami reference, love it
She could hear Micky's voice in the near vicinity of the seats behind her and turned to look. He was leaning over a seat on the row behind her but was seated another row back, he seemed to be talking to some other guy, she thought she recognized him slightly as the boy that had been by the harbor with all the other students gathered around him. There was also some kind of discussion regarding a drag race but she didn't really pay attention. looking up at the "stage" area of the assembly hall she could see the teachers starting to arrive there. She wondered which ones were teaching which subjects and tried to do the best she could to place the man and the two women up there, but she couldn't guess even how much she tried.

"Oh, lovely, some of the students have arrived already," Jane cheerily said to Donovan and Samantha as she took her seat. "My goodness, I can see some of their Pokemon already - they all look lovely, although it is probably the lightning in here..." She looked up at the rather hot lights hanging overhead. "Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that Machamp is doing his usual job of clearing after Haunter. He does look rather unhappy, for some reason ... but then again, he's always been like that since I first had him." She shrugged off any concern, and her tone was growing increasingly casual.

Regiana, meanwhile, was paying no attention to the stage. Amaya had chose to ignore her attempt at friendly conversation; seeing as they had nothing to say to each other, then she was going to remain silent.
Csi Miami Reference? I've never watched it, so if you're talking to me, I didn't mean it.
Samantha looked out towards the small audience that had gathered already. It wasn't nearly as many as last years, so she wondered if they had more to come, but sat down either way. Looking out towards the Audience again, she could also spot some pokemon. However, the only one's visible seemed to be a Vulpix owned by one of the Girls, and a Mareep and Sabelly seemingly owned by the same person. She sighed and turned to Jane. "I think you mean Lighting. We rarely get Lightning over here." Samantha pointed out, straightening her dress. "And the few out do look quite nice, but I do hope the other students have some good ones aswell." She added. She looked back at where they'd entered the hall from, and could see a shadow of Machamp cleaning up the mess projected into the hall. He does look slightly Miserable. I wonder if he'd prefere to be battling that cleaning up mess? She mused, turning back to face the Audience. "Is this it? Or do you think there are more students to come?"
Grand entrance incoming!
Vector entered the room, trying to not disturb the teachers talking to the bunch of students. Private was directly behind him, but due to her blindness she didn't know when to stop and bumped into one of the chairs, causing the student that was sitting in it to notice her. Without hesitation, he quickly got up and yelled.

"A Deino!" He yelled, apparently excited. "I've never seen one, but it's so cool!"

Vector tried to hush him, but other students had already started to trn towards him and Private. The Dragon Pokémon was obviously confused and was now rolling around on the floor.
I don't know if Deino's have problems with their blindness, but Private does :P
"Oh yeah, you let the girls come to you all right..." Sammy said, shaking his head as he saw the greaser approach the girl- Noriko, Sammy thought is was, if he had heard correctly. The other girl- this one he didn't know the name of, immediately pulled a scorn and started berating Blaine, while Noriko replied much the same way, albeit a bit quieter. Approaching, Sam caught something about a "drag race", and realizing what it was, said,

"Yeah, almost killed someone there, didn't you, Blaine? Believe me, it was no fun from the other car as well," Sammy said, winking at the girl beside Noriko. "Though I guess Blaine does find a way to make things exciting. Speaking of which..." Turning slightly, he muttered to Blaine, "Nice job with the sitting back and waiting for the girls to come to you, by the way."

Then, suddenly there was a great commotion behind them, and faintly Sammy heard them talking about a 'Deino', but Sam was too busy waiting for the group's answer before he turned, as anxious as he was to examine a creature which, frankly, he had never heard of before.

"Well if they have not found their way here yet it's their loss. We've actually waited for a while longer than we should've already so we better get started" Donovan stated, very to the point and then got up clearing his voice a little. "Settle down and get back to your seats!" He burled, mostly adressing the students that had gone out of their seats to stare like natus at Vector's Deino. His stance and attitude left the students following the orders almost directly and Donovan smirked a little, being pleased with it going so smoothly.

"Now normally the headmaster, Mr. Sawstree, would be greeting you. But due to some personal issues he wont be joining us today and thus we will be the ones to greet you." Donovan started out, gesturing to the other teachers seated behind him. "He would normally hold a speech about the high prestige of the school and its history but I am sure that most of you don't care about that anyways so I am going to skip this part all together, just don't tell him that I did so" He said, winking to the audience and grinning. Some giggles could be heard from every here and there and several relieved sighs from students that were, indeed, very thankful for this being skipped. "I am Mr. Donovan Thames, the practical and theoretical battling teacher here at the school and I will be having classes with you every morning starting on wednesday" He continued, starting to introduce himself and what his position at the school was. "The battle classes will be held outside on the battlegrounds, no matter the weather conditions, and the theory classes and seminars will be held in Building A4 that's located right next to the grounds." He explained, giving the students the locations of his classes. They would be needed for later this day as he would show them the grounds as well as the classroom and hand out the course litterature while doing the class introductions. "This year will be a bit different however as I will be having an assistant teacher with me, mr. Hawk down there with the Deino" said Donovan, gesturing to Vector down by the back of the room and then clearing his throat again.

"Now I'll leave these two lovely ladies to introduce themselves" Donovan ended his part, by pointing to the two other teachers, Samantha and Jane, and then taking his seat again, crusing hismelf for forgetting to actually say welcome to the Trainer's School. Nothing he could do about it now and he was sure Jane or Samantha would remember to do that.

Jane was quick to stand up, and there was a very wide, beaming grin on her face that was very sincere. "Welcome, darlings! I am Jane Emett, the Pokemon Care teacher, and I am very excited to be teaching all of you!" There was something unrepulsive about her, even if she was being a bit apostrophic. Indeed, she was much unlike Professor Umbridge in her speech and manner, and it would be highly unfair to compare the two together, albeit the former being fictional and debuting in a much later novel. "My classroom isn't too difficult to find, it's the particularly airy one with a large hole in the side. You'll see what I mean when you see it. Well, well, it's been lovely talking to you, but really, I musn't hog the stage like I accidently did last year-" She giggled slightly, as if it had been a very amusing incident when it had really been much the contrary. "-so I shall say goodbye for now." With a final grin, she sat down again.
For those of you that don't get the Harry Potter reference, I directly quote from Order of the Phoenix -
[Professor Umbridge's] voice was high-pitched, breathy and little-girlish and, again, Harry felt a powerful rush of dislike that he could not explain to himself; all he knew was that he loathed everything about her, from her stupid voice to her fluffy pink cardigan. She gave another little throat-clearing cough ('hem hem') and continued.

'Well, it is lovely to be back at Hogwarts, I must say!' She smiled, revealing very pointed teeth. 'And to see such happy little faces looking up at me!'

Harry glanced around. None of the faces he could see looked happy. On the contrary, they all looked rather taken-aback at being addressed as though they were five years old.

'I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all and I'm sure we'll be very good friends!'

Students exchanged looks at this; some of them were barely concealing grins.
Samantha sighed, standing up slowly. "Thank you Mrs Emmett. Now Welcome, Students, to our wonderful Academy. As you all must know, this is the most Prestigous academy in the whole of the Kanto Region, and has produced many great Pokémon Breeders, Trainers and Researchers. We are all delighted to welcome you to your short course at the Academy, and are all sure that you will enjoy it thoroughly and will take away many pieces of knowledge you would not have learnt otherwise." Samantha started, before realising she hadn't introducted herself. "My name is Samantha Jenson, though you will probably learn to know me as Miss Jenson. I am the Pokémon History teacher, and have only joined the staff at this school recently, but already I have seen the potential your generation has. Sadly, our Headmaster was unavailable to welcome you to the Academy, though it has saved us all a long speech. Today you will be shown around the Academy, first to Mr Thames' classroom and battlefield, then to Mrs Emmett's classroom, and finally I will show you to my classroom, and then Lead you back to your dorms. Although you are not restricted to your dorms at the moment, we advise you to stay there until tomorrow. As for tomorrow, Lessons will not take place. Instead, for the first time, we have been given permission to take you out to the Seafoam Islands. You will each recieve one Pokéball, and may capture just one Pokémon. However, that Pokéball will be the only one you obtain, so it will challenge you in the fact that whatever pokémon you catch, you keep. All other Pokéballs you own will be confiscated for the day, and will be returned to you at the end of the day. We hope you enjoy the experience, and for now, Welcome again to our Academy, and we hope you enjoy your stay." And with this, Samantha bowed and returned to her seat, awaiting one of the other teachers to say anything else, or for Donovan to lead the students to his Battle Grounds.

Amaya had actually managed to stay focused during the whole introduction, probably because it was quite short, and she was very thankful for the lack of the long speech. If that had been a part of the introduction she would probably have spaced out and thus missing the rest of the information. She was quite proud of herself for having taken in all of this information and was hoping that she would keep that up for the rest of the day. The trip to the Seafoam Islands was something she felt quite excited aboutm not for the opportunity to catch a pokémon as much as the fact that they would be visiting a location which had great legends tied to it. It was said that the legendary emissairy of Lugia, Articuno, once had it's nest within the underwater cave that tied the two islands together and that it was because of this that the insides of that very cave was ice cold even though the temperature of the water surrounding the islands were warm year round.

-----

As Samantha was done Donovan took this as his que to speak up again, rising from his seat. "Thank you Samantha," He said as he got up bowing his head a little to her in a gesture of gratitude. He would've thanked Jane as well but it seemed off thanking her when Samantha was the one that had just spoken, not that he thought she'd mind anyways.

"Now students!" He exclaimed throwing his arms out, "If you follow mr.Hawk he will guide you to the Battle Grounds and I shall meet up with you there to explain a little how our classes will work, before heading to the class room itself where I shall hand out your course litterature" He pointed towards Vector once more so he was sure that everyone would know who to follow and then added, "Oh and if you see a Machoke wandering about don't be frightened, his name is Bruce and he's really a perfect gentleman". He had almost added that if they saw a Haunter they should run away as it was Jane's and she had no control at all over it. He chose not to however as he didn't want to scare the students or embarrass Jane in front of them. He was sure she'd manage that all on her own somehow later on. He ahd respect for the woman as a teacher but she wasn't any good at all when it came to actually train her pokémon. She was completely obivious to the fact that her Machamp really wanted to battle and was growing depressed rapidly for its fate of being a butler. Bruce, his Machoke had never been forced to be some kind of butler, but he often walked around tidying up minor messes and opening doors for people. Bruce liked doing these things and as he didn't hurt anyone (or himself) or make a mess (at least no messes he didn't clean up himself) Donovan didn't mind it all.
Donovan just doesn't like Jane that much I guess :P

Vector waved his hand, signaling for the students to follow him.

"Private! Get here!"

Private, who was being cuddled by a girl at the moment, jumped out of the girl's grip and followed Vector's voice. They walked outside, into the island sun and Vector had to guard his eyes from the strong sunlight. The sun was never this powerful in Unova... he thought to himself before getting used to the sunlight. He made sure that the students was following him and entered the battlegrounds. There, he turned to the mass of people.

"My name, as you may now, is Vector Hawk!" He said with a harsh voice. "I will be your assisting teacher during this time, mainly on Mr Thames lessons, which will take place here-" He pointed to the ground. "And Thames' classroom."

Private was running around on the field, trying to catch a butterfly. Vector looked at her and was amused about the fact that she could feel where the butterfly was but still bumped into humans and walls.

Noriko wondered if the two would start arguing, but before the greaser-boy could reply the assembly started, so without another word Noriko turned and faced the front. She was relieved that she wouldn't have to sit through a long and boring speech from the principal - as bad as that may have sounded. She listened closely to what each teacher said, and after listening to what each person taught she instantly fell in love with Jane Emett. After spending so many years with a mother who takes care of pokemon for a living, she has developed a love for pokemon care. Noriko loved taking care of pokemon and making sure that all of them were in perfect shape. There wasn't a pokemon she has yet to meet that she couldn't care for, or didn't know how to care for.

Simply from hearing that Pokemon Care was a class here had her excited, and by time it was time for the assistant teacher Mr.Hawk - who was the source of the mild disturbance shortly before the assembly began - to show them to Mr. Thame's battle arena she was hiped. She stayed relitively close to Lyla, but not close enough to say they were walking together. Lyla looked like she needed some time to calm herself from her obvious anger of the greaser boy whom she has yet to learn the name of.

Pixie was walking right next to Noriko, tail high in the air and waving from side to side happily. Noriko noted that she seemed to be in a fairly good all day, especially considering what happened on the bus.

Blaine chuckled when Sam spoke to him, and replied under his breath even as the assembly started.

"Well, it worked, didn't it? The girls are here, aren't they?", he said with a wide grin, and was even about to respond to the girl that may have been threatening him when the assembly started and they all had to be quiet. Figuring it was a bit boring and not really wanting to freeze the conversation in progress, he leaned forward and rested his arms on the top of the chair infront of him -which happened to belong to Lyla-, allowing him to slouch forward properly and give the appropriately disinterested look.

Blaine took a vague interest in all of the students that were around him, even if it looked like he was inattentive. He could tell the boy he'd come to the school with -he still didn't know his name- was an academic of some sort, rare among country boys, and was likely just taking the class to compliment some other degree he intended to aim for. The health of his growlithe proved that he had done his homework on the matter, so he was likely intending to be some sort of biolist- probably a researcher studying pokemon, much like he had considered as a career path.

The girl whose' chair he was using as a crutch at the moment, on the other hand, was obviously a yūreist. That meant whatever pokemone she had was probably a ghost- and considering her purple garb and what appeared to be a crobat-wing
bow in her hair, he felt it was a safe bet it was the simultaneously poison-element Gastly. She was kind of pretty, in that young shrine-maiden sort of way, and it was kind of cute how mad she got at him... but then again, ghost types sort of gave him the creeps, so he wasn't sure how that would work out.

Now, the girl next to her -the owner of that Vulpix- was a horse of a different color entirely. She didn't appear to be obviously yūreist, but she stuck near the maiden quite closely. Evidently, she was suffering from the usual boarding school anxiety of not knowing anyone- which could be appealing to some men, but Blaine figured it might make her a bit clingy, even if it wasn't the totally-annoying type of clingy.
He watched her focus on the speakers for a while, and deduced quite quickly she was a fast learner- obviously intelligent, probably not the typical type of trainer, but it explained why she'd bother going to a boarding school. Whatever else, she was obviously serious about training pokemon, he could tell that much.

There were a couple other girls around, he noticed, most he figured he'd have to look at in closer detail once he had more information to work on- but the most interesting was the Regist.

Blaine wasn't very religious himself, but if asked, he could rattle off trivia on basically every religious ideology under the sun; he was very good at memorizing facts, tidbits, textbook details, the type of thing schools love to grind into an unappealing pile of seriousness. One of his brothers had done a dissertation on World Religions, and Blaine had taken it upon himself to read some of his literature. Much of it was vastly fascinating, though he rather disliked the permeation of Ho-ohism that skewed all accounts of their Regist data. Arceus Worshipers and Regigigas Worshipers had been at odds since time immortal, and it was really difficult to get an objective view on both when you lived on an island almost entirely dedicated to the messanger of fire, Moltres.

Heck, even his own family crest was a depiction of the fire bird- he had a copy of it in his pocket, with some ink, to use if he ever needed to sign anything- and while he did adore the stories about the divine fire, the unknown always intrigued him. This girl, whoever she was, obviously had information that he really couldn't glean from elsewhere on the island. That alone, intrigued him- the fact she had a sort of mysterious beauty about her was just a bonus, really.

In contrast to his fellow students, Blaine paid realtively little attention to the teachers. He noticed some rare pokemon- an Unova breed, he thought- pass by, but didn't care too much. It wasn't a fire type either. When one of the teachers mentioned a trip to the Seafoam Islands, he was underwhelmed- he'd been there countless amounts of times before, and in fact, his family owned a large chunk of the caverns in the eastern island- They had once planned on building some sort of stadium or resort in there, but stopped due to environmental concerns and drainage costs. What was funny was that said part of the island was part of his portion of the inheritance, last he'd checked- exactly what use would he have for a chunk of cave in the middle of nowhere, anyway?

"Well, that was boring," he muttered both the boy next to him, and the one behind him with a guitar. Despite the guy both looking and sounding like a total tool, he figured it was in his interests not to antagonize EVERYONE on his first day.

"Blaine Cinnabar," he said offering his hand before following the others out to the battle area. He jutted his head at the growlithe owner, "And this guy is..." he paused, "I actually never got his name. Funny that. In any case, us three are the only real guys here, so I assume we'll be lying down some ground rules about what to do with the dames after a while. But that can wait 'till I've laid down some ground rules about how I roll with the teach' first."

He chuckled a bit, even as he walked out onto the battle area. He looked around the arena mildly; it certainly wasn't the best battle area he'd seen, but it would due for the purposes here, he supposed. The current teach, Victor or something, was seemingly bothered by the sun -he grinned. It was always fun watching the newcomers suffer under the Cinnabar Heat.
