[IC] Pokémon Rewind. Arc I [PG15/Started/Not Accepting]

Amaya giggled a little at Micky's obviously nervous introduction and shook his hand. "Yes, but you can call me Maya" she said, confirming that he had gotten her name right. Medea hadn't even looked up as he had come up to them, she did however notice Sparky's comical trip and she laughed to herself. Laughing at the misfortune of other's was one of Medea's favorite pass times. Amaya shared that humor, at least the slapstick but Medea was a bit more extreme and would laugh if a child fell down a series of steps, severely injuring itself. She did find Sparky's tumble a bit comical though and thus she laughed a little.

Something Amaya noticed about Micky was that he seemed to have a tendency to blush as he was quite red in the face after the whole introduction. Maybe he was just nervous for approaching new people? Amaya drifted into her own mind as she pondered over this but thankfully managed to pull herself out of it quite quickly.

"Pleased to meet you two, I think we'll meet up later but right now I gotta run as I have to call my mother to let her now I'm here and safe" She excused herself, bowing slightly before running off.

Blaine sighed a little to himself as he saw a bunch of trainers, accompanied by pokemon, disembark from a ship. Though he might pass off a couple as tourists with particularly loyal pet, the relative ages of the passengers and the volume of pokemon that accompanied them pretty much guaranteed they were the new students he'd been told about.

He strutted over to the ship in his own time, glasses catching the glare of the sun, with Ilis following resignedly at his heels. The ship wasn't too big -just a standard ferry, really- and he began to wonder if any of the newbies hadn't gotten their sealegs yet. Whatever he was told to do, dealing with sick kids certainly wasn't part of it.

He took a brief glance inside, and after seeing the ridiculous jumble of people inside -along with more pokemon than he could count- he just shook his head and stood next to the doorway, before giving the metal post the boat was tied to a solid wack, which resounded loudly through the dock area.

"Yo, anyone bound for the Trainer School, gather around and stop your complaining. I'm the 'designated escort'" -he said, providing visual air-quotes with his fingers- "as it were, so let's get on with it before you all waste more of my time."

Lyla released Myst from his ball, he seemed excited about the island. People were disembarking the ship, which was more nerve racking. Taking out the Obsidian Tag, Lyla held onto it and began to relax a little. Myst, exciteable before, relaxed in time with her. There was a loud banging on the ship, and someone was shouting about the trainer school. Grabbing her bags, Lyla began to walk around until she found the probable person who was escorting her. 'Ummmm, errr, hi there' she said, before completely shutting down, she couldn't remember what to say. 'Ummm, Trainer School?' she mumbled. If Myst had a hand, he would have facepalmed.

Noriko's attention was pulled by some random guy shouting that he was their "designated escort" to the Trainer's School, while considering if she could believe him a small crowd had already gathered around him. "Well, I guess he's legit. At least not we won't get lost, right Pixie." Pixie nodded her small head once in agreement. Noriko quickly made her way over to the rapidly growing crowd, and somehow squeezing her way to the very front, alongside a girl holding some strange looking tag and a Gastly beside her. A shiver ran down Noriko's spine, and she slightly paled at seeing the ghost pokemon. Just chill....I-it's someone's pokemon so it's not going to attack...I hope She thought, before forcing her eyes back to the girl. She seemed a bit nervous, and was gripping the tag tightly.

"Vul?" Pixie must have noticed it as well because she was looking at it in question. "I think it's an Obsidian Tag. She must practice Yūreism. It would explain the ghost pokemon." Noriko said. Thanks to her photographic memory the Yūreism girl, and everyone else she had seen, was forever in her memory and after picking out whatever smaller details there was, Noriko moved a bit closer to her. She figured that if she was going to be staring at her she'd ought to introduce herself. "Hey, I'm Noriko Tatsubana. Sorry about staring at you, I do that often when something intrests me." Noriko held out her hand smiling, and while waiting for the girl to respond she chose to observe their "guide".

The first impression she got was that he was some two-bit thug, looking as though he'd rather be anywhere else than here. He wore the typical leather jacket, red bandana around his neck, and what looked like engineer's boots with re-enforced toe padding. Fingerless gloves, and the oh-so-important black shades stuck to his face.

Lyla let out a small yelp and dropped her tag in suprise; it clattered on the deck and almost fell into the sea. Myst flickered down and claimed it with his tongue, floating back up and handing it to Lyla. She put it in her pocket and faced Noriko. It was unnerving, staring because she interested her? Was she trying to hit on Lyla, or going to experiment on her later? She swallowed and took Noriko's hand. 'I'm Lyla Tsukamoto, and, I'm err, flattered that you find me interesting' she replied uncertainly. The girl seemed nice, but a little off-putting for a first impression. Was everyone going to be like this.

Myst himself was interested in Noriko, but flickered down to Pixie. Myst snickered loudly before wrapping himself in his own tongue, until it stretched the tattoo out to full width. It begin flickering at Pixie, as if seeing into her soul. He then screeched loudly as his gas spiked out, the tattoo flashing brightly.

Noriko felt bad for scaring the girl, but was glad she didn't run off or anything. She was going to say something but when Lyla's gastly moved closer, Noriko tensed and stared at the pokemon wearily. It's not that she didn't like ghost pokemon, it just took a while for Noriko to get used to them. It was her turn to jump when Gastly screeched the gostly cry rattling her nerves even more. "U-um, your gastly seems nice." She cought slightly into her hand once again forcing her attention to Lyla. "When I said you interested me, it was because I don't see many Yūreism user, except for the few that may bast by but thats rare. I'm from Pewter Town you see, a pretty far cry from here."

Pixie was watching the gastly closely, her back tense and her black eyes following every movement of the pokemon. She wasn't about to be scared off. When the gastly screeched, showing off the glowing tatoo on it's tongue, Pixie tensed even more and started growling. She didn't know what Gastly was about to do. "That's Pixie by the way." Noriko said nodding towards her Vulpix, slowly getting used to being around a ghost pokemon.

'I'm sorry about Myst' was the first thing Lyla said as she returned him to his pokeball. 'It's in a ghost pokemon's nature to be mischievous like that, Myst enjoy freaking people and pokemon out with his tattoo. It makes his Mean Lock even more creepy. I hope he didn't startle you' she said woodenly, Myst was going to be a handful. 'Pewter city, the homesite of the museum that deals with pokemon fossils and meteorite from Mount Moons' she added, remembering her text books. She sighed loudly. 'I dream of catching a Zubat from Mount Moon' she admitted.

Blaine rolled his eyes when he saw a Gastly trying to scare a vulpix -a difficult task, considering those foxes tended to live in places where there were plenty of ghosts- but didn't do anything after he figured the target wasn't Illis.

He nudged his own vulpix with his feet, getting an annoyed look from Illis when she finally managed to tilt her head at him. He smiled a bit. "Hey, little lady. Think you could round up any remaining flakes before one of the newbies finks on me?"
Illis seemed to roll her eyes, but slowly got to her feet and threaded her way through the small crowd, making her way to the docks and glancing around for remaining trainers with a rather disinterested eye.

Blaine adjusted his glasses before taking a second look at the new recruits, all of them obvious foreigners with beads of sweat already developing. He smiled a little- it'd be fun screwing with them.

"School's at the north end of town, by the UV campus. They share some dorms, so don't say I didn't warn you after the inevitable frat party next door," he started, digging into his pockets. He'd forgotten to get a carton of cigarettes, which was disappointing- he couldn't show off his cool lighter, now.

"Now. I'm sure you all expect them to send a bus or something to bring you to campus- which they will, in a couple hours. For those who don't want to stand on an open dock in the open sun for half the day, you can either hitch a ride with me, hail a cab or start walking."

He was fudging the truth there a little- the bus was postponed yes, but he'd be surprised if it took more than twenty minutes for it to get here. Plus, the university campus was the biggest landmark in the entire city- getting to the dorms was barely a forty minute walk from any direction anyway. But they didn't know that- and besides, half of them look liked they'd melt soon, anyway.

"...And my ride seats six, so..." he trailed off, gesturing to the crowd, whose numbers were above five by now.
"Preference given to cute skirts of course, sorry cats," he added, even though he figured it was implied. He leaned back against his trailing, pushing his sunglasses up on his face again.

Sammy, who had gotten tired of waiting by now and had left the boat, shirt back on and Seth at his side, curled a lip as he the -well, hoodlum- sent to retrieve. And here he thought the school was upperclass.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna take a cab- wait, no, Seth, get back here!" The rambunctious young Growlithe had leapt forward and towards the strange young man, perhaps smelling fellow Fire Pokemon, like Illis, on him.

"On no..." Sam said as Seth made a flying leap towards Blaine.

"It's alright, though I will admit ghost pokemon do make me nervous in the begining." Noriko laughed nervously. "Yeah, you got it. Our museam is pretty amazing, but once you've seen it once you've seen it a thousand times." She sighed slightly, knowing that Lyla wouldn't understand the meaning behind her words. Hearing about one of her dreams Noriko smiled, "If my memory is correct it's the dual poison and flying, bat type pokemon. It evolves into a Golbat, and has the inner focus ability. They-" She cut herself off realizing she was about to start rambling. Because of her mother, knowing the entire Pokencyclopedia, and other research she knew a lot about different type of pokemon. If asked any question, whether pokemon related or not, she'd more than likely know the answer.

Before their conversation could continue the boy from earlier started talking again. "Looks like we'll be sitting here waiting for a while Pixie" She sighed. Nori considered asking the guy for a ride because taking a taxie was out of the question because - it's a rather long story - but in the end decided to simply wait for the bus. "What are you going to do Lyla?"

After she had found a telephone booth near the docks and called her mother, Amaya started to walk back to where she'd been earlier.

There was a crowd forming by the boat but she guesed that it was just a place where people had decided to wait for the bus. Amaya didn't know if she'd wait around for it though, it wasn't a long walk to get to the dorms from what she had read in the brochure and Cinnabar wasn't that big of a place to begin with either.

She decided against going to the crowd and checking it out to instead walked back to where she'd left Regiana and Micky, luckily they were still there.

"I'm sorry for running off like that but if I hadn't called my mom would probably have gotten on a boat herself to go here and check that I was all right" she excused herself smiling apologetically. "And I doubt any of us wants our parents to come here" She added with a giggle.

Medea had finsihed her grooming, for now, and had decided to fly about a little, checking out this new air space that shehad most likely claimed her own. She had most likely even done that before she had arrived at the island, hell, she'd probably claimed the whole sky as her own years ago.

Regiana wrinkled her nose slightly, for a snob always looks down on those less snobbish than themselves, and becomes something of a shoe licker to those with more snobbishness. Obviously, nobody could be as foolish and insensible as the Ice Master's own daughter; her world revolved around that of a fat cat's, and her touch with reality being woefully out of focus. The moment Micky finished his handshake with Regiana, she immediately withdrew a tissue from her pocket and thoroughly rubbed her hands clean. Even Valena's nose was stuck in the air, her eyes averting the glance of any of the Pokemon.

"My name is Regiana," her mistress snapped. "If you dare make another mistake, my father will send me a Tauros to deal with you. Still, I percieve you to be tolerable." She did not laugh at Micky's Pokemon, and instead added, "Come on, I need to sit down, my feet are killing me. Oh why didn't I accept that Kangaskhan when I left home?" She began to walk, though at a slow pace, whilst grumbling under her breath; she was not exactly displeased with her new companions, only as of now, her opinion of them was more damning than welcoming.
Hotaro and Broken, can you please remember the 2-3 post rule. Although you haven't exactly caused the RP to go on about 5 pages overnight((It's happened to me before. Twice)), it could eventually happen and we dont want some unfortunate people((Most likely us, the hosts)) to have to read 2-5 pages before each day. So please, can you try to wait for someone else to post?
Micky sighed as Amaya left, to go phone her mother. "It's never the pretty one's that want to talk to me." He muttered, sloopingg over slightly in disappoinment. However, he perked up again as Amaya came back, quite quickly. "Well, that was a pretty quick conversation." He stated. "Anyway, are we going then?" Micky asked, walking off the boat finally. He also noticed the crowd, but noticed what, or who, it was gathered around. It seemed to be some kind of Gangster looking person, who was claiming to be an Escort. Frankly, Micky didn't trust him. No-one wearing that much leather couldn't be any good. "Well, I'm going to walk. Seems like a beautiful place, and looking at it from the inside of a bus would be a waste." Micky stated, turning around to face the two girls. "Either of you two going to come along with me?" Micky asked, mainly towards Amaya.

OOC: Sorry about that luv, and trust me, I know the feeling, I once had to catch up 10 pages

Lyla sighed a little. 'I want to go out and explore Kanto. I spent my life cooped up in Lavender Town. But now, I have the chance to explore and raise a team of poison pokemon. I already have Myst on my team, and I have a good idea on the other member's' she added, but then had a thought. 'Wait, why am I telling her all this?' she thought. She blushed a little and turned away from Noriko. 'Okay, so it's either hitch a ride with this creepy guy. Wait a few hours for the bus or walk' she reasoned, it was a tough choice to make.

"well when you're calling from a phone booth conversations have to pass by quickly or you'll ruin yourself" Amaya stated and smiled. It wasn't as if they had much to talk about either, just the normal 'I'm here, I'm fine' stuff.

"I agree, we sould walk. And the bus would probably be like the inside of a heated pot anyways as it's so hot outside. If I'm going to die from a heatstroke I might as well do it in the open air" She said and giggled a little, getting up to pase with Micky. It would be a tireing walk of course as her backpack was quite heavy, but it would sure beat getting fried in the bus.

"Need any help with that?" Micky asked, noticing how Amaya seemed to be struggling with her Rucksack, which seemed to be quite heavy. Micky knew he probably looked stupid asking it, he was carrying a Rucksack that looked just as heavy aswell as a Guitar. But Gentlemen always offer help the those in need(Bah, Micky, a gentleman? Like hell.) and Amaya seemed to be in need. And anyway, he wasn't going to get anywhere with her if he didn't offer to help. "It'll be fine." He said, before she could argue. "These aren't really heavy, and your bag wont make much of a difference." He stated, trying to look strong. In reality, he was actually sweating loads, and that was before the heat kicked in, but he tried to ignore it and push on. He put on a friendly smile and offered his hand out for the bag.

Ooc: I'm sorry I forgot, but I'll remember that rule from now on.

Noriko wondered why Lyla turned away from her, did she do something wrong? Noriko looked down at Pixie in question, only to see the small pokemon grooming herself. "Hopefully the bus won't take as long as the guys says, because it would really suck if we did end up waiting for an hour or more." Pixie didn't even reply to Noriko which caused her to sigh. "Maybe we should just catch a ride with the escort. If I walk there I might get lost, and waiting on a bus could get boring." She sat on the ground, in front of Pixie, and crossed her legs. "I hate making decisions..."

Regiana followed them anyway, but seeing what was happening before her was lowering her opinion of them both. How cheap of her to play that trick. Education really has gone to the dogs. I am so glad I was brought up by a governess. She did not barge pass them, but instead kept silent and grave at the back. If only there was someone else worthy for her to spend time talking to. However, at the same time, her hypocritical curiosity was unfolding along with the sight before her. What if they did get together?

Such low snooping somehow passed her "high standards", and Regiana decided to take on the part of the silent spectator.

"Oh no it's okay, I can handle it, thanks for offering though" She retorted, flattered by the offer of course, but she could tell that Micky was already sweating and they had barely started walking so he was obviously lying about his bag not being very heavy. She didn't say that to him though as she didn't want to embarass him. She looked behind them to check if Regiana had decided to follow them or not as she hadn't said anything for a while. "Hey, Regiana, are you keeping up? You've been so silent" She said, smiling back at her and then re adjusting the straps of her backpack once more to relieve the weight of her shoulder for an instant.

Micky sighed again as his offered was refused, albeit politely, and cursed himself for being so damn readable. He could feel the beads of sweat rolling down his face, and knew he must look so rediculous for offering. He shrugged slighty, actually being thankful that his offer was refused. Anymore weight and he would have probably collapsed, and that would have made him look even worse. So instead, he decided to just be polite, and hope for the best. He turned around when Amaya mentioned Regianna, and was surprised to find that the girl was still with them, he'd totally forgotten about her, and was quite shocked at her still being there. Micky quickly regained himself, also asking why she'd been so quiet. "Come on, unless you'd rather wait for the bus. Your pokémon's an Ice type, so I'd understand." Micky said, again being surprised, as her pokémon seemed to have totally forgotten about him tripping over the Arctix, as the strange headress it had worn was still slightly askew.

Blaine, while waiting for the crowds to settle themselves and make a decision, was almost blindsided by the flying growlithe coming at him. Reacting far more quickly than one would think, he dodged to the side and grabbed the dog from behind as he sailed to the ground in one short, swift movement.

"Hey, calm down boy," he muttered swiftly to the pokemon, petting him a couple times before he let him go. He knelt down to get a better look at the canine, quickly examining its teeth, fur and paws. "Looks healthy," he noted aloud, nodding and giving the fire type a quick, final pat on the head. "Nice growlithe, whoever owns him. So at least someone here has an idea of what they're doing."

the bus took that moment to pull into the docks. He chuckled a little; "Well, looks like the Lead Sled's here. Time to go then," he chuckled, getting up and crossing his arms. He bent over to scratch the growlithe under its chin, just as Illis turned the corner again.

She sauntered back and gave the growlithe a hard glare before rubbing possessively on Blaine's calves. Blaine noticed, and chuckled a little before scratching behind her ears. "No worries little lady, just a new friend. C'mon now..." he added, putting his arm down so the vulpix could climb up around his shoulders, using his bandanna as an anchor, before she started dozing once more.

"I'm heading to my ride. Anyone coming with, comes with- that means you, whichever of you cats owns this dog..." he said with a smile at the growlithe.

Arctix suddenly gave a screech and violently shook her head until her headpiece was back in its right place. Regiana was looking rather cross, yet she composed herself, as all good snobs do, and said coolly, "Do not insult Valena." She then added, "I stay silent because I have nothing to communicate. I do not open my mouth just so I can say nonsense. However, I do not want to take the bus - are you really so silly as to assume that all Ice Pokemon will melt under the sun?"

Now that her telling-off was over, Regiana continued to walk behind them, but her glare on Micky had turned into a fierce one. Of course, offending a snob is never such a good idea - their power at hand is always greater than the common man, as in this case, for Regiana had Tauroses and Kangaskhans at her disposal, courtesy of her father.

Micky gulped and shook his head violently, kind of like the Arctix had, but while shaking his hands violently. "I didn't mean it like that! It's just, we suffer this much in this heat. An Ice type, well, most people would assume it would tire out much quicker as account of it's weaknesses to Fire. I didn't mean it as an offence. It's a rare Pokémon, and I'm sure it's reallly powerful. I've never seen one before, and I'm not too sure on how strong they are!" Micky explained, slowing his shaking of hands and head, stopping at some point. "I'm sorry, it's just, well......" He didn't want to finish incase she took it the wrong way, and at the moment he felt just like Amaya had a moment ago, except he kept picturing a Tyranitar instead of a Gyarados.

"Well, I guess we're here," Cage got up and motioned for Tyrant to do the same. The larvitar nodded and got up, patting Ringo affectionately. "See you around." With that the two left the boat. It wasn't long until they caught up with the two girls from earlier and the guitarist. He decided to join them, might as well make some friends right? Tyrant dashed ahead, making a beeline for the ice fox.

"Ladies," Cage started, appearing from Regiana's side. He had his shades angled so that it appeared he was looking ahead. "I'm guessing we're all heading to the school? If so I hope you don't mind me joining." He gave Micky a nod, as if to assure him he wasn't left out of his introduction.

There was a rather terrifying pause between Micky finishing, and Regiana saying, "Fine. You're forgiven." She was somewhat taken aback when Cage suddenly joined them, and natural reflexes made her cry, "Don't you dare talk to me like that! Stand further away from me. Now." Humpfh. You don't look like you believe in Regigigas. What makes you think I'm going to talk to you?

Similarly, Valena was angrily hissing at Tyrant, and her tail was dangerously upright - it seemed as if she really did have half a mind to use Ice Brush on the Lavitar. Of course, being the signature move of their race, it was almost their most natural reaction to danger. Valena and Regiana were definately in no way to be toyed with.
