"Oh wow, that's so pretty!" Amaya exclaimed, as Micky showed the seashell he'd found. She'd never seen anything like it before, it was in all the colors of the rainbow and was completely smooth. "You sure I can have it?" she then asked, being unsure if she could take something so pretty from someone else. Of course, Micky had been the one offering it to her. He probably wasn't too interested in seashells, boys didn't tend to have much care for things such as seashells and flowers from Amaya's experience. Micky was always so nice to her, she didn't really know why, but there wasn't exactly anything wrong with someone being nice, now was there? If she could have that seashell she'd make sure to make a bracelet or something for him too. There were far too many seashells for her to use all for herself anyways. She'd probably see if Regiana wanted one as well, they were room mates after all so it would be nice of her to offer.

"I wonder how long it will take for her to take a hint" Medea mumbled to herself, not having a care in the world that Micky's Mareep could be eavesdropping on her. She found it incredulous that Maya didn't realize that Micky was wooing her, she guessed that most of the other students and perhaps even the teachers had picked up on that.

Regiana patiently waited for Jane as she mounted her Tropius, and flew out to the ocean. Valena was occupied with the Magikarps, and as Regiana continued to wait, she watched her only Pokemon prod them playfully. When Valena appeared to be eager to eat one, Regiana was prompt to tell her off, thus cutting off her little plan. Otherwise, there was nothing much to do except walk along the beach front and see if she could find a Feebas herself. Alas, she had no luck, and was forced in resorting to wait for Jane.

The latter must have been out at sea for an hour before she finally found the Tentacool she was looking for. Valena leapt into Regiana's lap to watch the battle between the Tropius and the Tentacool; it was amusing to see how well the Tropius could function with Jane on his back. Predictably, she won her fight, and as she caught the Pokeball, now with her Tentacool inside, she gasped and immediately returned to Regiana, although she hoovered next to her instead.

"I just saw a Feebas swimming your way - good luck!" she said. For once, she was not talkative, but then again, she never really talked when a battle was about to commence before her eyes. Regiana leapt up, and Valena jumped, ready to fight, as the tiny-ish figure of the Feebas approached. Eventually, it was close enough -

"Valena, let's Tackle it!" It had barely struck Regiana that this was going to be Valena's first Pokemon battle; instead, there was a certain degree of excitement building. The fox Pokemon dashed into the water and smashed into the Feebas. The impact, though somewhat hindered by the water, sent the Feebas flying upwards before landing down again. Predictably, the fish Pokemon retorted by ... splashing. Valena felt a sweatdrop roll down the back of her head as she watched the Pokemon make a useless move; she then realised that an actual drop of water had landed with the Feebas' fall, and was now rolling down the back of her head.

"Valena-" Regiana was promptly cut short as she saw what was happening. The Feebas appeared to look a bit ... well ... ditzy. It suddenly started swimming in one direction, before sharply changing to another, and so forth. It didn't even seem to be aware of the fact that it was in a battle! "Er ... right, erm ... Valena, use your Ice Brush!" The fox leapt into the air again, her tail untwisted, and the immediate area of the water beneath her frosted over. The Feebas appeared alarmed, but by then it was too late - in a sweeping trajectory curve, the brush had dived under water, pushed against the current, and touched the fish long enough to send it floating up onto the surface, frozen.

Regiana figured that another two Tackles would do it, and as Valena smashed into the fish twice, the ice shattered and shot down into the water like hopeless arrows; Regiana threw her Pokeball, and although the Feebas did land in the water again, there was a definate vibe of confusion. It looked around, as if demanding answers, but was then caught in the Pokeball anyway. Regiana was half-expecting it to fight as she caught it again, but ... nothing. It just stayed still in her hand.

"...I don't think it was aware it was in a battle," commented Jane. "In fact, I do recall seeing it get hopelessly lost; it was with a school of Feebases, and then this one just wandered away. It had no sense of direction at all! I suspect it was trying to reunite with its friends; oh what a funny little world we live in! Imagine that! Why, I'm not sure if I would personally want it, if it has no sense of whereabouts at all! But then again, this is your personal choice, Regiana dear, it's completely up to you if you want it or not."

Regiana paused, and waited for Valena to dry herself. Her eyes were resting on her only Ice Pokemon, and for a moment, it seemed that she really did want to let the Feebas go. She suddenly asked, "What was the name of the student who wanted a Magikarp?"

"Lee." Jane blinked; she had never been more surprised by a student before. "Why?"

"Lee," repeated Regiana thoughtfully. She clutched the ball even tighter, and then clapsed it to her chest. "Lee. I like that name."

"My goodness, you're not really going to-"

"I came here for a Feebas, and I have a Feebas. It is not for other people to try and influence the Ice Master's only daughter as to what she does and does not do." Regiana spoke with that rush of power that naturally accompanied her herederity title. Jane kept quiet, and Regiana walked back to whoever else was left. She caught sight of Micky and Amaya together, and she immediately stood as far as possible, eagwer to know what was going on between them.

((Sorry for the inactiveness, was on vacation and interwebs was damn expensive, so I avoided it as much as possible. Can someone help me get back on track?))

Vector was still on the boat, watching some of the kids looking for Pokémon on the closer beach, and some of them just collecting seashell. Private was in her Pokéball, resting in case Vector wanted to use her to catch a wild creature. He stepped off the boat, and as he did a guy ran up to him, looking excited.

"Mr Hawke!" He shouted. "I caught a Slowpoke!" Vector smiled. He didn't really care, but he was happy to see someone else happy. "Now if only I could find a Shellder so that I could evolve it..."

"Good luck with that." Vector said and walked away, looking for something to do while still remaining close to the group who remained at the beach.

Lyla had moved herself over to the beach, and was keeping an eye on the sand, a very close eye. Over her studies she learned that rare treasures like pearls and star pieces would occasionally wash up on the beach during late night high tides; so the beach was quite literally her oyster. Sadly, without an itemfinder (not invented), she would have a pretty tough time trying to find anything. Okay, it had turned out to be somewhat hopeless, there was no means to find any items buyt lucky chance, or maybe a ghost. Acting on her new idea she released Myst and told him to 'comb the desert'. He did so, by getting a stick and raking the sand, effectively combing it. Lyla sighed again. 'Myst' was all she could say.

After waiting until Pixie was ready to go, Noriko stood up and the two of them quickly found their way to the caves. The caves was the only place to find the Jynx, or Corsweet. "Ok Pixie lets get this over with. Hopefully we can get one of them." She grinned at Vulpix before the two of them went into the caves.

Some of the other students had already started, and she even heard a few of them shouting that they caught one already. She couldn't believe that the other kids were having such luck already - or maybe they were just that good. The cave was dark, damp and it had a cool breeze blowing towards the mouth of the cave. "Lets hope this goes as well as I hope."

"Vulpix..."

"Okay children!" Donovan bellowed from the boat, "You can now enter the caves oif you so wish, but try to stick together with someone as to avoid putting yourself in danger!" he added. Lots of the students rushed into the cave, Amaya on the other hand was in no hurry. She slowly walked towards the cave, feeling her heart beating hard in her chest. This was it, her chance of catching a Spheal. It was either make it or break it...

"Me and Samantha will be inside the caves and acompany those of you who wish to go further inside, this is so we can prevent any accidents with any stronger pokémon in there" Donovan then added and then walked over to Vector on the beach. "Are you joining us to go inside the caves? If you haven't seen them already I would recommend it, they are quite the peculiar occurance" he stated, fiddling with his mustache.

Cage was standing at the beach, glaring at the rising and lowering tide. Indeed there was a particular Pokémon he wanted to catch, and it was Staryu. Sadly however, there were little to no Staryus to be found on the shore. This disappointed him, as he had noticed a scuffle by the water a bit earlier with Regiana. Or at least he thought so, after all, who else has an ice type? Maybe he just wasn't looking in the right areas. He had heard Staryus could be found (rarely) on the shore. They could also be found in pools, could that mean he had to go inside? Students were pairing up already to head inside and he had, well, no one.

Not like he couldn't take the cave himself or anything! It was uh, just a rule. Yeah, a rule.

...Aww f*** it, since when did he follow rules?

He made his way towards the cave but paused. He could just grab a Spearow, or ask if one of the teachers has a fishing rod on hand. He actually used to catch quite a bit of Shellders back in Olivine City. Shellders and the occasional Tentacool. Which brought him to another point, he could just get a Tentacool. Decisions decisions.

Co-incidently, Jane was the first teacher to meet Vector again, and sensing that he was a bit clueless, said to him, "Oh, hello again my dear Vector! I see you're still on the ship - come now, why would you be so - oh, I see, you don't want you're doing! Oh dear, I suppose the excitement overpowered us! Well, Samantha and Donovan are leading some of the students into the caves right now; I know some, like Regiana, are not at all interested there. I normally wouldn't do this, but the poor dear does appear to be a little lonely." She was speaking almnost like she was leaving some kind of hint behind for Vector to pick up on, which she actually was. "Anyway, I cannot stop long to talk, I have to go back to the school; I need to drop off my dear Tentacool to the nearest Pokemon Center. Goodbye!"

It was perhaps relieving to know that Jane was going; she got onto her Tropius again, and in a rather strong gust of wind, kicked off the ship and into the air.

"Well, Amaya, we going?" Micky asked, rather pointlessly as Amaya stood up a few seconds earlier. "Glad you liked the Shell." He muttered, placing his hands in his pockets. He sighed again as they turned for the caves, walking up to the towering blue structures slowly, unnerved by the sheer size of the outsides of the cave, which meant that there was lost of space above sea level. And he'd read that there were many subterrainial caverns and tunnels which linked to two islands together, which made him ask himself how big these caves really were. As he approached the entrance, following Amaya, he decided that, because they'd be out of the sun, he might aswell let Shifty out. And Sparky would want to come out two. So he grabbed his two Pokéballs and let out his Pokémon, Sparky being quite excited at it, Shifty acting Nonchalant as always. "Now, let's go find you a Spheal." Micky said, turning to Amaya. "Where d'ya think they'll be?"

Lyla heard the call being issued and gazed at her partner, he was still 'combing' the sand. 'Come on Myst' she said and pushed herself up.

Sand clung to her backside, which she dusted off casually. Many of the students had already gone inside, and been told to pair up. Lyla wouldn't need to do that, considering Zubat would be everywhere, and aren't all that powerful. She slowly walked over to the cave entrance when a fierce gust of wind blew. It appeared that mad woman and her Tropius had taken off, it must be nice to have that kind of transport. Brushing the hair from her face, she saw that Larviter boy looking about, probably for what to capture. She finally went and entered the caves.

Like some people had said, the caves were quite frigid. Lyla could have sworn she had seen some of her breath, but dismissed it. Her main purpose was a Zubat, that's why she was scanning the roof of the cave.

Finally coming to the decision of whatever-the-f***-I-find-first, he entered the caves. The caves were... Dark. A place Tyrant could enjoy, that's for sure. Students were still in pairs and didn't seem to want to split up any time soon, prompting him to start searching for a partner. There was Lyla nearby, and she did have a Ghastly. Maybe he could ask for some help? The cave was quite dark and the pools could be anywhere, having the assistance of a ghost type would be quite useful.

Approaching the girl, he didn't actually know what to say, or well, how to say it. "Hey, need some help with your target Pokémon? 'Cause I'm looking for a Staryu and it doesn't seem to be that easy..."

Lyla was still busy searching the roof. Myst had floated up there to spook out any of the critters, but couldn't seem to find any. Of course, then Cage spoke to her. She of course wasn't expecting that, and getting startled whilst in deep concentration provoked the usual reaction. She let out a suprised yelp and swung her left arm out, effectively socking Cage in the face. After realizing what she did, she held her hands over her mouth. 'Sorrysorrysorrysorry' she repeated quickly.

One of the first things Cage did was quickly take his shades off, revealing his eyes for a split second. Being satisfied with their condition, he quickly placed them back in their original position, sighing. "It's fine." He grumbled, massaging his forehead. Given his younger days he was used to getting socked in the face, randomly however, was something new. "But yeah," He quickly cut, "Need help? I'm pretty sure we can both benefit from a temporary partnership." With that he let Tyrant out, the Larvitar yelping in joy as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. "Tyrant likes caves. He could point you to a Zubat nesting area? It's not a bad idea to have a good amount of Pokémon to choose from."

Noriko jumped after hearing the scream that came from behind her. At first she thought it was soe new breed of human sounding pokemon, but then realized that the voice sounded familiar. In fact she was 100 percent positive that it was Lyla's voice. "Thats right...If she wants to capture a zubat then she'd be in the caves too." There sounded like another voice was there with Lyla, and though she could remember who's voice it was she didn't know the name of said person. It was the boy who owned a Wynaut, named Blue.

Pixie, whom had been just as startled, untensed and glanced at her trainer to see if she noticed. She didn't like looking weak in front of anybody and that included Noriko too. Pixie always had to be strong to protect her trainer, just like Noriko's father made her promise. "Come on Pixie...We have to go deeper into the caves if we want to get a Corsweet or Jynx. The first one will most likely be where there is a miniture pool of water. Jynx shouldn't bee too far from the Corsweet's location as well."

"Vulpix."

"Can you try and make a bit of light again." Pixie nodded - though Noriko could hardly see it in the darkness of the cave. Pixie began to charge up her ember attack and as she did a bright orange light filled the cave. There were two tunnels she could chose from, and both of them looked equally dark. In the end she chose the right. "Thats enough Pixie." Vulpix stopped charging the attack and followed the slow moving trainer down the right tunnel. Sadly they had to turn back after realizing it was a dead end. Luckily it didn't take long, and before the two of them knew it they were heading down the left tunnel.

"Well, the teachers said they were deeper within the caves so I guess we have a bit of a walk ahead of us" Amaya said, starting to walk through the continuously darkening cave. It would be hard to spot a spheal if it didn't get brighter at some point, but at least the ice and odd spots of snow helped in brightening up the cave itself. "Are you going to catch something?" Amaya asked after a short while. "Because in that case we can keep a look out for anything you're interested in as well, we're probably bound to pass something on our way to find the spheals" She stated, gasping a bit as she lost her balance slightly from an icy patch. Luckily, she didn't fall and regained her composure quite quickly.

Regiana sighed; about half the group had entered the caves, and as tempted as she had been to follow Micky and Amaya in, she figured that her cover would be exposed. Thus, she kept to herself and let Lee out in a nearby pool that she found. Valena was paying attention, and she kept poking him; he appeared to be more eager to ... well, go wherever he wanted to. He really did have no sense of direction.

"Well, there's not much point in this post," Regiana mumbled to herself, unaware that Naimo is subtly breaking the fourth wall. "I'm really only doing this to remind people I'm still here."

Note to self: Naimo, stop reading Hayate the Combat Butler.

Micky nodded and followed Amaya down one of the paths towards the deeper levels of the Cave. It wasn't so much dark, the light from the entrance seemed to reflect it's way around the cave due to the copious amounts of water, Ice and snow. It was just, eerie, and a little bit gloomy. And although this didn't scare Micky, it was terrifying to Sparky, who promptly started to rub against either Micky or Amaya, whoever she was closest to. Shifty, however, was in his Zone. He lived in and for caves, and loved the darkness. He was jumping around all over the place, climbing up rocks and Ice blocks, jumping from one to another, and leading the way. He occasionally vanished, doing god-knows-what, but usually came back again with a slight edge of fear. Micky presumed he'd encountered a wild Pokémon, but could admit it was possible he had just fell. One time he even came back with a Magikarp one time, but both Micky and Amaya were uninterested, Amaya, from what Micky could see, immersed in her search for a Spheal, Micky determined to help. "Too bad you dont know flash yet, Sparky. That would make this a lot easier." Micky muttered, after about half an hour of walking.

Maya had been engulfed in her search for a Spheal and didn't really pay much attention to anything else as she walked around, she was kind of spaced out but at least aware of some things.

The cave started to get a lot brighter after a while and widening up to a large room, the reason to this brightness was that there was a hole in the ceiling and as this part was particularly icy and had lots of pools of water the light bounced around a lot and creating a very beautiful scenery as the ice glistened a lot because of this light. The beauty of this part of the cave had Maya exit her spaced out state and she gaped at the sudden brightness and beauty of this particular part of the cave. "wow..." she gasped, looking around in the room taking in the scenery. There were some pokémon around, namely a small group of psyducks and some dewgongs peeking up from the water at them, probably judging if they were to be feared or not.

Maya was particularly interested in the center part of this room though, it had a weird pillar of ice rising up from it, seeming to have been created naturally. She wanted to get a closer look and started to run towards it. Now, if Amaya had been thoughtful she'd realize that running in an icy cave was not very smart and she realized this too after a while. Unfortunately she thought of this as she actually slipped on the slippery floor and the momentum of it along with more ice had her skidding straight into a pool of water.

The water was icy cold and unpleasant and Maya was panicking a bit, starting to swim upwards as soon as she had made sure she hadn't managed to locate which way was up. As she swam however she noticed something, a Spheal, looking curiously at her and she stopped swimming upwards for a second. It was exactly what she had been looking for! The spheal prodded over through the water, quite slowly given that they were not good swimmers due to their shape, and inspected Amaya. She would have loved to just grab the spheal in her arms and throw it out of the water, but she knew she couldn't do that as it would probably result in it biting her or something. She was running out of air though and she really had to swim out of the water. Micky and Medea was probably worried about her too.

She got up from the water and got to the ledge of the pool she'd fallen into, crawling up from it after a bit of struggling. She was really cold and was shivering, but she couldn't help but to think about the spheal in the water. She turned around and to her surprise, the Spheal had followed her and was looking at her from the water with a big smile on it's face, trodding over to them through the water. The spheal was indeed a curious one...

"Look out!" Micky cried, too late. Amaya had already fallen in the water, and Micky was down at the edge of the pool, trying to find her and pull her back up, while with standing the urgent pecks at his back by Medea. That bird was starting to get really annoying, although she did seem geniunely worried about her Mistress. "Here ya go." Micky muttered, hieving Amaya back up to the surface. "You okay?" Micky asked, realising it was a stupid thing to ask, and he took his Jacket off, putting it over her. "Y'know, running on ice is generally considered not very good." Micky joked, looking at the spheal that had followed Amaya to the Surface. "Well, atleast you found your spheal, and there's not a Walrien nor Sealeo in sight." Micky stated, looking back at Amaya. "You gonna try and catch it?" Micky stated, still worried. After she'd caught this, they were getting out of here. He didn't need another Pokémon, after all. He already had two, and he had to make sure Amaya was okay.

Medea had of course left Maya's shoulder as she started to run, it was not comfortable to sit on a shoulder when it moved so much. She had chuckled a bit when Maya fell but then cried out in fear as she saw her trainer skidding down in the water. She was altering between pecking Micky's back and head to urge him to get her trainer out of there and circling above the water to see if she could find her. Maya seemed to be able to get out on her own accord though and she was relieved that this Micky person at least helped her out of the water. As she got out of the water Medea immediately flew down to rest in her trainer's lap to rest there. She wanted to bite her fingers too to point out how stupid she thought she was. Running on ice was NOT a good idea, but she didn't do that, her being freezing cold had to be a lesson enough for her.

"Y-yeah I'm g-g-g-going to t-try at least" Amaya stuttered between shattering teeth and waited until the Spheal had actually rolled it's merry way out of the water (which looked kind of amusing), to prod around in the cave while inspecting the two humans and their pokémon.

"Medea, use c-confuse r-r-ray" Maya studdered a command for her pokémon and Medea, though taking a while to actually understand completely what she was supposed to do (she had a hard time understanding studdering human tongue), followed orders. She flied up in the air and a small ray of light, almost being un-noticeable to the naked eye, shot out from her eyes and locked with the Spheal.

The effects were not obvious directly but after a while the Spheal stated to wobble about like a tiny drunken ball.

'Yes, I suppose that could work, maybe, possibly oh dear' she mumbled, having still been very embarassed about punching Cage in the face.

He didn't look worse for wear, but the fact that she did it though is what embarassed her the most. Myst however, found it completely hilarious, having lazed off finding a Zubat nest and had been enjoying floating around the stalactites. This was his first cave, and he really enjoyed the ambience it had. It was tempting to go deeper, but right now it was more entertaining to watch Lyla fail at social interaction.

Cage didn't comment on her reaction, or anything about her really. He had the feeling she was bad socially, that enough was reason to not talk to her. He'd rather not put someone out of their comfort zone, at least not yet. With Myst off looking for Zubats, Cage also sent Tyrant to search. Tyrant's method of searching was... Different, compared to Myst. The Larvitar waddled after Myst, screeching at the cieling every so often. If Lyla found a Zubat she wanted, it would already be weakened from the screeches, allowing for an easy capture. As he continued to follow Myst, the Larvitar was not paying attention to the floor ahead of him.

SPLASH.

His owner sighed loudly.

The Larvitar climbed out of the pool, looking very annoyed. He merely by the edge, waiting for his trainer to reach him. After all, they had found a pool.

Blaine did not go into the caves.

For one thing, he had already spelunked everything there that there was to spelunk, going in there wouldn't benefit him any.

And for another, he preferred his quarry to come to him.

"Ready?" he said with a sly grin to both of his compatriots. Nero saluted him in uptmost seriousness, the Magby almost tripping over his own unsteady legs with the motion, while Ilia mainly flicked her tails in a sort of bemused fashion indicating that she, quite frankly, found the entire plan ridiculous.

Blaine was, for the moment, minus a shirt and he would have added tribal markings if he was aware how to. He still wore his shades, which glinted in the bright sunlight beaming around Ilia like an aura- the vulpix really could call the sun, which would work in his favor in this case.

"On my mark then! Go!" he declared, pointing to the heavens from the top of the island. Nero hopped up enthusiastically, blowing a bank of thick smoke in the air while Illia released embers that consumed the carefully prepared fuels they had placed around the summit -dried sticks, leaves and grasses they managed to find scattered about- in bright, short bursts. Blaine, for his part, did a ritualistic dance that stopped just short of ridiculous- only his natural athleticism prevented him from tripping when he coughed from smoke inhalation and tumbling down the rocky sides.

Which, of course, would be rather embarrassing during a ritual intended to provoke Articuno.

His reasoning for summoning the Legendary Bird of Ice was rather foggy, he noted when his vision started getting blurry either from either oxygen deprivation or his sunglasses just getting fogged up by the heat. Something about proving something to Princess -or was it his family? Both maybe?- and also making the trip memorable somehow. Or maybe it just seemed ludicrous enough to be worth his time.

Though, with the amount of smoke the overenthusiastic Nero was causing, they were more likely to be mistaken for an SOS signal than a summoning.

"Is this another filler post?" Regiana asked to what apparently seemed to be nobody. She recieved no verbal answer, but somehow knew what it was anyway. "I suppose we can't have people forgetting about us (even if the first post of page 18 was made by Naimo), can we, Valena, Lee?"

Her Arctix purred affectionately as she prowled the edges of the pool, trying to intercept Lee, who wanted to be anywhere but near Valena. He just ignored Regiana's odd question, and was more focused on getting away. Regiana had never known Valena to be so interested in fish; maybe it was because they were now going to be companions for some time? Regiana wondered how long it would be into their journey before she found another Pokemon that was to her liking; perhaps that would stop Valena from disquieting Lee.

Thank goodness he could only be let out in water.

It had taken a good while of aimless searching in the dark, running into walls and being chased by the occasional Zubat before both Noriko and Pixie finally came to a part of the cave that was illuminated by the few rays of beems that passed through the cracks on the cave ceiling. The lighting wasn't much but it was more than enough for Noriko to see the many Corsweets and Corsalas wading in the many miniature ponds. There was a cave directly to her right, and if she listened carefully enough she could hear the sounds of a Jynx, and by association a Smoochum.

"This is it Pixie. Time to get a Corsweet." She said looking around the area. Her best bet would be to cause a disturbance and then in the fray of panicing pokemon battle a Corsweet and then get the heck out of there.

ooc: Ima post the rest next time.
