Resident Fascist
Today, I just defeated the 4th gym leader, I didn't find her too hard to beat...But her Emolgas shown me a pretty amazing combo, I picked osshawott as my starter...But I used Victini. The Team: "The Tank" - HP Ev Trained, Switch to this with volt switch to supress attack. Handy if it's not too weak against ground(Find something with double typing, Like Magneton for instance.) Generic Electrics X5. All you need is the TM volt switch, for those that don't know how it works: -It's a ELECTRIC Type SPECIAL Attack. With a PP of 20 and a Power of 70, along with accuracy of 100. After attacking, you are instructed to switch your pokemon. This means the whole team can work in synergy and It'll be hard for anything to take down your electric types, especially as they only have 1 turn to hit them( 0 if you are faster, but the pokemon you switch in will be hit instead, so figure that out as well.) Factor in it's ability to paralyze and you have one very, very annoying combo. It's like that move from D/P, but so much more powerful. It helps if the rest of the team are EV'd in special attacks too. Any Pokemon can use this as long as It can learn Volt Switch. Have fun getting the opponent seriously annoyed to the point where they scream cuss words through the microphone. + This combo is easy to use + It's not hard to get Volt switch + Large selection of Pokemon can learn it. - It's very cheap. - No skill needed - EV Training may become annoying. - Lightning rod ruins this. Uhh...Ban on...well...everything that can learn Volt switch? If you want, have something with Lightning rod on your team when you know the opponent's team. That will screw them over. Dark
What happens when your "tank" dies? Then you are left with five Pokemon that have an extremely large weakness to Earthquake and can be swept by everything and their mother. Do realize that Ground types are immune to electric. I don't know if you are being sarcastic (since Smogon banned a lot of things, and your sarcasm could imply that Smogon might ban something as stupid as Volt Switch) or just being retarded, but this strategy does not even come close to deserving its own topic. [/quote] You discovered I was infact, being sarcastic. I was trying to shut the people up who say they can't beat the fourth gym. Honestly, even freaking bidoof can beat this.
