[OOC] Pokémon Rewind [PG15/NOT ACCEPTING/STARTED]

Recommended Posts

Wow you guys are sure planning ahead :o

I don't really want to make too many plans as of yet, especially if we can get this RP to go on for several arcs :3

but I think Amaya's theme will consist of mostly Ghost, Dark, Poison and Bug types. That's like, all my favorite types! ^.^

LOTS OF BLARGH PLEASE READ (not including personal responses)

@Lux: Given as this is a very short course of only two weeks and is only set up to prepare trainers slightly for what will lie ahead during their journeys many teachers won't be set aside for this task. New trainers would have to have some basic knowledge of battling and caring for pokémon and as for the history part. Well, it's mostly so they know some legends and how pokémon have been used in other ways during the centuries (i.e wars). There are people that are attending the Trainer School from a young age and graduate being a full fledged trainer which will have access to the Pokémon League more easily. This is very expensive though and many are forced to repeat a year several times as they have to know so much about every area there is within the pokémon community.

@rarity: Yes this will be an opportunity to catch a slowpoke if you so wish ^_^

Catching Pokémon and the Seafoam Islands: The opportunity given to catch a pokémon during the whole Seafoam field trip will most likely be your only chance to catch something while at school. You will not be allowed to wander away from the campus and catch pokémon as this would be breaking the law within the pokémon world. You don't have your trainer's license yet and thus you won't be allowed to catch pokémon until you graduate. The exception for the field trip is because everything is superviced and there will be three teacher's and an assistant at hand if something goes terribly wrong.

At seafoam you will be able to catch everything you can find within the games inside the caves (with an exception of articuno of course), but as you are weak trainers we won't allow you to catch evolved pokémon. We also wish to remind you that any pokémon caught can't be over level 5 (you all ahve weak pokémon you wouldn't be able to weaken anything much stronger anyways without having your own pokémon severely injured). I will be making a full list of what will be catchable on the beach as well as in the shallow waters around the island in a later post so be sure to check it out so you know what you will be able to catch :)

Later on you will be able to catch pokémon more freely but we will set up some restrictions to how many pokémon you can catch etc. This is to prevent that someone will be walking around with a shitload of pokémon really early on and to keep balance. It will also help us getting moving with the plot a lot faster as characters probably will be less likely to linger in areas for too long. We will notify everyone with how many pokémon you can catch at the moment is and then we'll notify you again when you can start to catch more pokémon.

TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ALREADY HAVE 2 POKÉMON! (with an exception of the one with the pichu left in pewter, I forgot which character/user it is :/)
We would very much like it if you restrain yourself from catching another pokémon as you already have an advantage due to already owning an extra pokémon.

Does that mean Vector will own a blasting shell?

In any case, I'm fine with Blaine not catching anything; not really anything there he'd like, anyway. Maybe a Gyarados (well, a Magikarp) 'cuz it can learn fire-type moves, but you can catch those anywhere.

I'm sure he'll be fine just scoping out the future location of his gym.

After his hometown goes all 'boom', anyway (aww, made myself sad).

In any case, my current post reinforces a couple things- Blaine A- Doesn't care about his teachers, B- DOES care about his colleagues, C- Likes giving the girls (and Sam) the Sherlock Scan when he's bored, and D- Does, indeed, not consider Cage a guy.

So, yeah, I call dibs on Horsea/Seadra (Kingdra FTW!)

And, in the future, will there be instances where we will visit other regions or something, so our teams aren't all Kanto/Johto Pokemon?

Seadra is unavailable at seafoam. Only first stage Pokémon. Aw, why? He's there in the game...I presume it's because we're just starting out.

And if you notice on one of the first posts there are sections for other Regions, so take your guess from that. They haven't been filled in, however, and I simply wanted to know if we were going to have school trips there or not.

Notice he made a point about the three of them being the old guys in the class, without even mentioning Cage.
Sure, he could have just not noticed the guy, but I tend to err on the side of "Blaine being a prick".
