Admiral_Stalfos19
"I know this monster," Arachnimon spoke softly to himself, before turning to Gala, "It's an Octomon. I used to beat them down all the time. Ah, memories..." "So why do you think it's...? Gala started to ask "Distraction," Arachnimon interjected, before turning back to the sea, "Alright Octomon, we're through with your games! Sulfuric Acid Gun!" Arachnimon shot a familiar stream of acid straight for the hollowed portion of Octomon's head, which seemed to contain its eyes. Spartan919
Kai looked over. "Knowing what it is doesn't make it any easier to take down." Suddenly a red tentacle with a sword slammed down towards him; he dodged to the side, but the tip of the blade sliced through his shirt, and through his skin. He winced as he landed, but was glad that he was otherwise fairly intact. "Rena, watch out!" The cannon shot had momentarily stunned Renamon, but at Kai's voice, she snapped out of it. She back-flipped into the air, launched a Diamond Storm at the thing, and landed next to Kai. She glanced at him, and he waved her away. "I'll be fine," he said, clutching his chest. Blood trickled, darkening his skin. He wiped it on his brow, but it only smeared. "Darn it," he cursed under his breath. "Hit that thing harder!" he shouted out to Renamon, who proceeded to launch another Diamond Storm at its tentacles.
GreyCat
"Thank you for sharing Arachnimon," Kazu yelled sarcastically as he dodged tentacles, swords and cannon fire. Leor periodically shot of small bolts of thunder; those they were neither strong nor accurate given his lack of charging time. "I am overjoyed that out red menace has a name. Imagine the horror of being nameless." Leor rammed him out of the way of a tentacle, taking the brunt of the blow for him. "Damn it! What the hell is this? Revenge of the sushi bar? Leor, take the next tentacle and get as close to the main body as you can to give it a Leo claw, you might be able to rip the arm off." "That's what we should have done from the beginning!" Leor growled as he darted off. He pounced onto the nearest tentacle and leapt from one lashing red arm to another, evading the swords and fire power as best as he could, bouncing off Arachnimon in one of his dodges. When his progress was impeded, he slashed savagely as the arm closest to him.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Just as he was finishing his Sulfuric Acid Gun attack, Arachnimon decided to move in, knowing he was just as accurate as last time, and thus expecting the enemy DABO to surely be blinded by the attack. However, he did so much more slowly than last time, albeit still with some form of speed, and he kept a watchful eye on those dreaded black-hooked tentacles and the multitude of swords, as they proved to be the most dangerous melee weapons at its disposal. This time Arachnimon planned to hitch a ride on one of the tentacles, as opposed to lunging on top of it. But just as he got even somewhere within range, Leormon, who was likely performing evasive action, had suddenly jumped on Arachnimon's back and bounced back off. "The hell was that for?" Arachnimon asked spitefully, before shaking his head in disgust, and returning his concentration to the monster that he himself has identified as Octomon. Hydra of Ages
Yukio's eyes narrowed. "That DABO has not emerged beforehence," he said in a tone that carried itself even amidst the chaos. "Though Octomon seems an appropriate enough moniker. The question is how it exists, despite there having been only a single Emergence..." he frowned to himself, then whispered something softly over a personal transmitter, presumingly to DARTS headquarters. The Sulfuric Acid sprayed at the darkness of the DABO hit its mark surely, but was absorbed into the dark water. Whatever was held in the dark center of the water, beneath the waves, it seemed to gobble anything that entered it as if it were energy- a theory only proved as the unarmed tentacles began to draw Gizumon they grabbed into it, as if feeding. "It's bolstering itself with more data..." Leiko realized with horror. Whatever this creature was, it was cannibalizing its own kind for power- was this sort of thing common among wild DABO, she wondered? If so, they were even more horrific than she'd thought previously. Kunamon weaved around the tentacles, fortunately being of small enough side and quick enough movement to avoid being crushed. Unfortuantely, any movement to have a strong side to attack was quickly warded off by another tentacle- a weapon pointing her way, a barrage of swords, a shockwave from the ruthless canon that peppered the hills with earth-shattering, though poorly aimed, bullets the size of large boulders. A tentacle was scratched by Leormon's claws, a couple bled slightly due to Renamon's Diamond Dust- the wounds, though substancial, seemed largely pointless in the grand scheme of things. Leiko felt like she could tear her hair out. "It's no use!" she yelled. "We can't kill it unless it comes out of the water- it's got too many advantages!" she cried. And the tentacles never let up, showering them with a constant barrage that made it almost impossible to get an attack in. Yukio audibly clicked off the communication device he was wearing. "Approval for Arkadimon deployment confirmed. Gizumon approval revoked." The Gizumon coordinator appeared on screen again. "Wha-? Hey, what do you mean? You guys can't take down that thing on your own!" she yelled. "Executive order," Yukio responded coldly. "Cannon fodder simply feeds it. They need a legitimate distraction. Arkadimon- Appear." There was a flurry and a jingle of data as, from Yukio's watch, a metal-shelled humanoid appeared. Every inch of its body was covered in some form of reflective body armor- even its face, its eyes an all other senses, were covered by a blank faceplate. It stood silent for a couple seconds, simply standing like a statue. "Arkadimon. Attack dash 3." Yukio said after a moment. Arkadimon, despite his armor, moved almost too quickly to be seen. Revealing a metallic blade, a curved scythe larger than its entire body, it dodged to blows with ease and set its attack onto the vulnerable red skin of its attack. There was a brief moment of silence, almost a shockwave, before a blast of heat phased through the air and a strange, almost musical scream tainted the quiet. Half of a red tentacle, more than two meters in diameter, fell towards the ground and dissipated into nothingness data. The waters churned with anger, bubbling with dark toxins, and all eight red limbs forced themselves to one side. The dark face and yellow eyes switched places as the creature seemed to reangle itself so that all tentacles could attack from one side- a frightening amount of weapons, all reaching for the tiny armored knight. "That distraction should suffice for your purposes," Yukio said with the hint of what could be a smile- which started to turn into a frown as he noticed white among the red. White. White tentacles were there -not as many but a substancial number-, obviously from Gesomon, attacking with the same viciousness as Octomon's red. But how could that be? The Warden
Hiro had a moment of dark thoughts. 'Arkadimon, but, if I remember correctly it was a baby level, resembling a heavily armoured tick, what have they been up to?' he thought, but couldn't follow on it. Using his spyglass, he too noticed the combined tentacles, the white of Gesomon and the red of the newly dubbed Octomon. 'Could it be that Digimon can possess more than one form?' he theorized, before seeing that he was about to lay down a brutal attack. Switching to Gizumon cam, he began to manually aim Gizumon, straight at the clustered tentacles. WHat he was about to do would most likely delete their way through them. 'Gizu Laser, a hundred and fifty percent' he ordered. 'We've never gone beyond a hundred' Gizumon pointed out. 'I'm well aware of that, but now, root yourself to the ground to prepare fire a sweeping array. I want all the tentacles destroyed' Hiro ordered. The large number of wires hanging below Gizumon began to bury themselves into the ground as his legs began to brace themselves. Hiro was meanwhile checking energy levels. It wasn't good, he didn't have enough power. 'You, come here' he shouted at Gala.
GreyCat
Kazu looked at the data that the tentacle had suddenly burst into. The fact that Yukio pulled out the equivalent of godzilla was something to consider later. He was bound to have a partner anyway. Kazu looked again at the data. The gizumon they fought had a bunch of data packed into it to make it stronger. The sushi special was sucking the data out of the gizumon. It all came down to the data. All DABU were composed of data, and apparently they could absorb eternal data. So, if they could do it, Leor should be able to do it too. Well, when in rome. "Leor, take in that data and use it to power another thunder of prince!" Leor looked at him confused at first, then he grinned and roared. Data poured into his body, into his fur and jolts of electricity burst from his mane, his tail, his fur. He pranced about and landed on a tentacle. And let lose. Thick whips of electrical currents burst out of his form and lashed at the tentacles, the ground, the water. He had no control. But they lashed at sushi special too. And the lashes grabbed hold where they did, pouring destructive energy into the creatures body.
Admiral_Stalfos19
"OK, now I'm starting to remember why I never finished it off with Sulfuric Acid Gun..." Arachnimon muttered to himself, "Good thing I'm already moving on to Plan B!!" Arachnimon quickly dove onto the tentacles that were aimed at Arkadimon and allowing himself to be catapulted as they returned to the monsters side. He then shot a thread of silk from his tail, straight at the back of the Octomon... Gesomon... fusion? It was hard to tell what the monster had become. But the only thing that mattered now was that Arachnimon was beginning to hatch his plan to help the EGL's defeat it once and for all. "MOLTEN COLLISIOOOOOOOONNN!!" A familiar dark aura surrounded Arachnimon's claw, which he then slammed right into the being's back. Meanwhile, Gala was merely playing around with the receiver module, not really thinking about the battle too much... at least not until he heard Hiro shout at him from across the field, who he figured to have more than a slight hint of rage.
Arachnimon envelops a claw with a dark aura before slugging one opposing DABO. The stricken DABO is then inflicted with a virus that greatly amplifies the damage of any attacks that strike it. The duration of the virus is dependant on the difference between Arachnimon's and the stricken DABO's levels, as well as the stricken DABO's resistance to Virus attacks.
Spartan919
"Rena, stop the Diamond Storm, it's not doing anything!" Rena followed Kai's orders, but now, having nothing to do, she simply dodged the tentacles, both red and white. Kai dodged along with her, wincing occasionally as the wound on his chest throbbed. Whatever this thing is, there's got to be some way to stop it. Maybe a Power Paw... Kai shook his head, unsure, but decided that it was his best option. "Rena!" She turned at his call, and gave him a questioning look. "Try Power Paw!" She nodded, then spun to face the tentacles. Simultaneously, her hands and feet were engulfed in a blue flame. She began slashing and kicking at the tentacles, red and white. Kai watched her, barely glancing over at the other INVERSE members as they fought. There's gotta be something that will work!
Hotaru987
A yellow drilling beam was suddenly seen within the diamond storm shot by Rena. The spinning motion of the beam caused the shards of diamond so start spinning as well, ceating a stronger combined attack. Emiko didn't know exactly how they would get this repidly changing digimon out of the water, but she figured that maybe they could bait it to come out of the water. Anger it enough so that it comes out of the water. It was all she could think of, and no one else was providing a plan. Yukio did provide a destraction by releasing his own digimon, and it looked different than the EGL's the rest of them used. She had heard stories that Yukio had completely fried his partners brain, and though she most likely wouldn't do anything like that to Tsunamon, she didn't think any less of him. Everyone has their own reasons for doing something and it's not her place to judge someone else for thier choices. With that she focused on the digimon, though still keeping an eye out for any stray tentacles that may hit her or Tsunamon. "Maybe we should keep attacking until it shows itself. I mean even DABO's can be baited right?" She asked Kai who was the closes to her.
Hydra of Ages
Arkadimon stood still as the multiple tentacles attacked him, smacking, slashing, grabbing and attempting to crush him- he withstood it all without apparent effort. On the occasion when the beast appeared to try and eat him, he lashed out again with a blade that warded off the attempt, but otherwise stood still as a wall, absorbing the blows like a wall or shield. Conserving his energy, of course. Yukio didn't have the benefit of being able to use all of his power without restraint- even releasing Arkadimon was dangerous to his own health. He could feel the slight blurriness behind his eyes, the synapses of his brain protesting the unnatural connection he had by overheating... but he blocked it out as much as he could, and instead tried to focus on how the battle was running. Leor's electrical attack, aided by the absorbed data of the tentacle, seemed to have far more effect than it did previously. The surface of the water shook a bit, and though the darkness seemed to assimilate some of the energy into itself, the rest ran straight and true into a tentacle. From that tentacle the entire creature -red and white tentacles alike- shivered a little and seemed to fall a little down into the water. Rena's attacks hit the tentacles, resounding like punches on sacks of meat, and the combination storm attack shredded through another tentacles, blasting it until it seemed limp and relatively useless. Leiko noted quickly that the entire thing didn't move, even at that. She didn't have a good look at what Arachnimon had done, but the beast didn't seem to respond to that either. Was it dead? No, dead DABO became data. Obviously... "It's stunned!" she cried out. "If it's not moving, that means we can try pulling it out!" she yelled, before noting the absurdity of that. Then she thought again, and shook her head. "No, that's the only way, I think! All of it's vulnerable bits are underwater, and we can't go down there- so we either need to get rid of the water, or bring it up to us!"
Quiksilver
Rika's heart has rose when she saw the two creatures crash down into the water, and though she knew they were only fainted, she was beginning to consider the possibility they might not die from this after all. That was what was making her happy. The shout gave off by one of her teammates afterward warmed her heart a little less. "Tch...even though I don't like it, you're right, Leiko," Rika said in response to the other female on the team- besides Emiko- who had been the one talking after the DABOs collasped. While they differed in their view of things, in this case Rika agreed with the girl's assesment. "I could try using Coronamon's flames to evaporate the water, but that would take too much time...Also, the water would probably just refill, seeing as how we're on the coast. So it has to be the other way- lift the creatures out of the water..." Rika's eyes narrowed. "How about we call the Gizumon back and have them grab onto the beasts and lift them out of the water, so we can attack them like a pinata?"
Hotaru987
Emiko listened to the others speak and truthfully she didn't like the idea, but what other choice did they have? The monster was unconscious for the time being, so they could either get rid of the water - which seemed impossible - or lift the monster out of the water - which seemed equally as impossible. None of Tsunamon's attacks could help with evaporating or getting rid of the water, so Emiko wasn't sure what she could really help with. As for moving the digimon, Tsunamon was the smallest EGL being used, so there was no way he would be able to lift anything. Rika then mentioned something about having the Gizumon come back and lift up the DABO. "Thats probably the best idea I've heard since we've started this." Emiko put in trying to become more social with her fellow team members.
GreyCat
Leor was tugging at the tentacles as if trying to pull the beast out himself. Kazu raised a finger to rebute him, but dropped it and let the cat have his fun. He considered the size of the parts they saw and tried to calculate just how much of the beast was still submerged. The size he came up with was not reassuring. If they managed to pull it out, they would be up a world record award. "Our friend sushi special is a bit too much for us to beach without a winch. Preferably, a construction one," Kazu said. Leor looked crushed, but still struggled with the tentacle, which was bigger around that he was. "I'm totally with the pinata idea. And not just becasue Rika suggested it. Speaking of which, isn't that a breach of our agreement Rika? All the good idea's are supposed to be coming from me." He smiled and pulled the communications link. "Operators, godsquidda is taking a nap. You think you and your boys, and girls, could possible drag him out to the sand. He really needs to work on his tan and we are dying to help with that. Plus, between Leor and Coronamon, we just might solve the problem of world hunger. Calamari for all." Admiral_Stalfos19
'And how the hell is that gonna be possible?' Gala asked himself in thought. Like Tsunamon, Arachnimon had nothing in terms of techniques that could be use to evaporate the water. And sure, Arachnimon was more than strong enough to drag the thing to the beach, all by himself too. But the fact that he couldn't swim was what disallowed him to get anywhere with the DABO. Now if only there were some form of... platform. Gala look around the beach, but there was nothing in sight. But as he proceeded back into the forest area, he saw a tree that might suffice for the platform. It was long enough, and it wasn't too narrow that Arachnimon wouldn't struggle to traverse it. Now all Gala needed to do was cut it down, and somehow drag it all the way to where the DABO was. "Hey um, does anyone have a chainsaw, by any chance?" Gala asked the crew.
GreyCat
"You plan to drag the cephalopod version of godzilla by yourself? Good luck with that," Kazu said sceptically. But he did offer his help. "No chainsaw, but the next best thing, a cat with a big mouth and long claws. Leor, get over here!" Leor looked up from the tentacle. He had a slightly guilty look on his face. And a scrap of something red hanging from his mouth. "Leor, is that... sushi special? You are eating the DABU?" "It's not my fault! I'm hungry and you keep mentioning food!" Leor snapped angryly at Kazu, but he did look ashamed. He was like a preteen kid. "And that made you eat it? What have I told you about eating things off the ground?" Kazu demanded, jabbing his finger at the cat.. "...Not to" Leor admitted, shuffling paws guiltily. Kazu went on with a passionate rant. Leor flinched when he started yelling, shrinking before Kazu's tirade. "Exactly! One: it's gross. That thing was in a pool of acid. Two: You don't know where that tentacle has been! It could by carrying some weird DABU bacteria and make you sick. And it you get sick, I might!" "...Sorry," Leor mumbled into the grass. He cast a rebellious look at Kazu and the tentacle, but a glare set him back in place. "You better be," Kazu muttered. "Know, get over there and hack that tree down. You claws can cut through metal, a little wood won't be a hassle." Leor grunted and muttered but bounded over and tore down the tree with a single swipe. "There you are Gala, a bridge. And Leor, you're grounded."

Now he just needed someone, maybe even everyone, to hold the log there while he went onwards to pull this thing out.
The Warden
Looks like Hiro's plan had fizzled up, a pity really. But a new one began to formulate, thanks to the felling of the tree. He smacked his fist into his palm, this one should probably work. He ran towards Gala and Kazu as Gizumon pulled himself up from the ground. 'Instead of producing a bridge, create javelins. Many of these trees are relatively straight, so we cut them down and sharpen them, we can use them to spear the DABO, instead of dragging it out, which would take too much effort. We seem to have enough time, and it's better than floundering around with a useless idea' he explained to them.
Spartan919
Kai watched stoically, holding a hand to his chest. He found it quite comical, for some strange reason, that he was the only one who had been injured so far, but no matter. It seemed that Rena's most recent attack had managed to do...something. And that was more than the earlier attacks had been. He looked to the tree which Leormon had cut down. A bridge... or javelins? He blinked incredulously. Are we really planning to pull this thing up out of the water? He knew it was safer than going into the DABO's domain, but he didn't think it was possible to lift what had to a gigantic monster out of the water. He shook his head, then turned to Rena. "Good job. Now do whatever you can to help the others." He judged the length of the tree, its width, and the distance. "First, cut down another tree." He motioned to one which stood next to the now-stump, and Rena moved to obey.
Hydra of Ages
There was a brief pause before one of the DABO MetaTroopers replied with a curt "Roger." There was a rustling sound as the swarm of Gizumon returned in full force- indeed, in even larger numbers than before, the purplish machines nearly blotting out the sky with their number. Yukio pulled the transmitter to his mouth again. "You don't have clearance, DABO team. Were reinforcements requested?" The Co-ordinator popped up on screen and giggled girlishly, "I'm afraid there's a few problems happening elsewhere. HQ is defrosting all available GIZU units and scrambling them fast as he can. A couple squadrons are resting on their laurels here while we finish up. In any case, I think standard procedure can be forgone for the moment- Extenuating Circumstances and that..." Yukio was going to respond, demand to know what was happening elsewhere that required their entire stock of Gizumon to be put into mobile action, but swallowed his words when cut off. He could worry about that later. "Initializing Formation Gizuspear," the Metatrooper with the thick accent said as a bundle of Gizumon began to gether together, their metal bodies floating around each other with magnetic pulses until they shaped into a definite form- a gigantic lance, about fifty feet from tip to bottom, made out of Gizumon. A similar structure formed elsewhere, around a different central Gizumon, and the remainder of the swarm fanned out into a circle. Without warning, the Spears dug into their targets- the nearer into the base of one of the Prime Limbs, and the other into the red tentacle holding the cannon-arm. The DABO seemed to stir at first, then thrash when it noticed what happened. The circle of Gizumon shaped around it, trying to avoid the tentacles but still say in formation. Leiko's heart leaped into her mouth. Would it break free, now? Kunamon had been using her stinger to harvest nearby trees and throw them, much like javelin's, into the creature's flesh. But the thing was a sea beast the size of a skyscraper- she could hardly believe a few robots could raise something like that. Was it hopeless? She knew from the start she'd probably die in her line of work, but to think it would be so soon, so helplessly... "Arkadimon. Lift the DABO." Yukio said cooly. Leiko could only blink as the armored humanoid grabbed hold of the remaining Prime Limb and pulled upwards, firing upward suddenly. She also noticed the beads of sweat collecting on Yukio's forehead, and the strangely glassy quality to his pupils- and the very slight sway in his step. Their commanding officer wasn't looking so hot, it seemed. The Gizumon engaged thrusters, firing upward with an incalculable amount of force. The DABO roared, high and mighty, as it felt itself being drawn. Each of its tentacles stretched to their snapping point, their elasticity lengthening them to almost three times the regular size. And then, with a very slight rumble, a thick sound that almost shouldn't be, there was movement. But that was all. A foot, a meter- Arkadimon and the Gizumon hovered in place, almost unable to take the load any farther. The DABO thrashed about mercilously, if ineffectually, trying to pull from their grasp. The Warden
Okay, this was starting to get bad, back to Plan A it would seem. Sadly, the two nearby, Gala and Kazu didn't seem to be useful, but that Leiko girl, she could be overpowered if necessary, and right now, it was necessary. Whilst literally running for all he was worth he withdrew a cable from his satchel and plugged it into his leash, leaving the other to dangle. Gizumon was literally thrusting after him in effort to catch up. Skidding to a halt he grabbed Leiko's leash arm. He scanned it thoroughly before addressing her. 'Sorry about this but i need to borrow your leash's power' he stated. Gizumon meanwhile had stopped nearby and was repeating the earlier procedure, burrowing himself into the ground to stabalize himself. He was targetting the mass of creature that had been pulled from the sea. 'Now or never Hiro, don't ask, just do' he whirred. Hotaru987
Just as things seemed to be looking up for them the DABO regained consciousness after the deployed the Gizumon to attack it. Then Yukio surprised everyone by having his EGL lift the DABO pretty much all by himself, but Emiko could see that it was taking a toll on Yukio as well. They should probably get rid of the digimon quickly now. "Tsunamon, use Heavy Vortex. Then run along one of it's tentacles for a close range attack with your Horn Drill." Tsunamon nodded, "Right! Heavy Vortex!" The small digimon yelled as he charged up his attack before sending the yellow spiriling beam towards the hybrin DABO. Almost instantly afterwards Tsunamon hopped onto one of it's many tentacles and started running towards the body. When he was close enough he jumped into the air and began twisting his body, "Horn Drill!!"
Hydra of Ages
"What?" Leiko said quickly, before noticing the cable in his arm. On a regular occasion, she would have interrogated him to figure out exactly what he was planning on doing- but out of the group, he seemed to be one of the most intelligent and now really wasn't the time to argue. "Take whatever you need," she said quickly, looking back at the status of the floating monstrosity. The beast thrashed back and forth with its tentacles, causing the earth to rumble but not hitting anything in particular. As it emerged from the water, it seemed to slow down, inch by inch- though the process of its life was painfully slow, centimeter by centimeter. The acid splashed around the base of the creature, causing its rubbery skin to sizzle and pop against the dark seawater. A tornado of energy ripped through a couple of the smaller tentacles, trying got emerge from beneath it slowly and getting beat back. The entire creature shuddered briefly as a horn ripped through its soft skin, ripping out chunks of data from its core. It gave an involuntary lurch, and the Gizumon and Arkadimon responded in kind. Yukio gave out a furiated yelp as Arkadimon and the Gizumon lifted up briefly. There was the sound of breaking and suddenly a woosh of water as something white and vulnerable was brought up from the seabed. A mass of tentacles, an almost innumerable amount of small almost wormlike edges shied away from the light, as if trying to protect itself from the air. Hanging in the air was a wretched mass. On one side, the long white shaft that was the Gesumon's head stood out with a gaping, lionlike mouth currently sealed off- on on the other, ripped into the rubbery flesh like a wound, was a deep black hole from which two yellow eyes stared out maliciously. Red tentacles swarmed out of the hole like a parasite, holding various objects in them and writhing about needlessly; the entire creature seemed out of breath. There was a ding on Leiko's Leash alerting her that a full scan of the enemy digimon had been completed. "ParasiFujitsumon?" she said to herself with wonder, before something dawned on her. The blank looking eyes of the Gesumon, the wild anger of the Octomon, the strange strategy, the hiding... "Neither of those are the actual DABO..." she muttered. "They're the victims. The REAL DABO is somewhere inside of that mass! We don't need to defeat the puppet; we just need to kill the master!" There was another ding as boxes containing the Gizumon controllers appeared on screen. "If you could hurry it up, that would be nice..." said the female Metatrooper, looking nearly as strained as her Gizumon. The foreigner next to her nodded sagely; "Bite when the meat's still hot," he advised. The Co-ordinator looked as if she had steeled herself. "Let's do it." The Warden
Hiro heard her account, and then, it seemed to make sense. 'A parasite like that would be located in the brain to control movement; anywhere else and its control would be more limited' he said, whilst attaching the cable to Leiko's leash. He checked a few statistics on his own leash before moving over to Gizumon, the cable having more stretch than one would have given. 'Are you aimed at the head? Whilst also avoiding the Gizumon and Arkadimon?' Hiro inquired as he went over final statisitics. 'Aye, just say when and we'll kill ourselves in a triumphant way' he buzzed. Hiro sighed, that was a little overdramatic of his partner. 'We're not going to kill ourselves, there will be enough power in the reserves to keep us going, we won't be conscious, but still going'. Gizumon didn't answer, he merely buried himself a little further, provoking Hiro to place his leash on Gizumon's backplate; a link was then established. 'Okay, begin charging for a one hundred and fifty percent Gizu Laser' Hiro ordered. A small red light began to form in Gizumon's eye, but soon it began to grow at a hastened rate, feeding off the energy in not only Hiro's leash, but to the linked leash of Leiko. This was having a stronger affect on his partner though, whose legs were already beginning to give out from the energy absorbtion. 'Hang in there' Hiro said, despite his arms wanting to give out. The meter on his leash read the attack was attack was at one hundred and eleven percent, only a bit longer. It seemed right to have given eighty-five of his own power and leached sixty-five from Leiko, no sense having two knocked out tamers. The heat of Gizumon's hull and the strain of the energy consumption was causing severe sweating from Hiro, his grip began to loosen, but with brief moments of lucidity he forced it into position. 'Fourty-five, fourty-eight, fifty' he counted. The orb in Gizumon's eye formed outside, it was the size of a beach ball. 'ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT GIZU LASER! FIRE!' Hiro yelled, his last command for this mission. The red orb exploded into a terrific blast easily ten feet wide both height and length wise. It truly was a thing of beauty to see this shining red arrow fly true towards the helpless lump of squid and ocotpus.
