Admiral_Stalfos19
"Are you OK, Gala?" Arachnimon asked out of curiosity. "Ugh... I... think so," Gala slowly recovered from a splitting headache, perhaps of which was caused by that eerie, screechy sound from before, "Now what were those guys saying then? I completely missed it." Gala fished out the receiver module for his new leash from his pocket. Luckily, it managed to record the brief meeting with the Co-Ordinator and the two Meta-Troopers. All Gala had to do from there was to replay it. "It's only the three of us, I'm afraid. The total number of Gizumon is a little less than a hundred total, with fifty kept iced for the moment. Normally that's a nice number, but MailBirdramon trashed almost twenty times that amount... with ten times as many Operators. No pressure on you kids, but... I kinda hope you know what you're doing..." "Saji, you worry, worry, far too much. Ze Commander enjoys his little joke now and then. I doubt we be dealing with much more than a small Adult... just to whet the little one's appetite, yah?" "Small Adult, please..." Arachnimon scoffed, "Even if it were to be of medium strength, I would've taken it on by myself... and won. Something tells me it's gonna to take all seven of us at the very LEAST." "Rephrase that!" Gala prostested, "It's gonna take all seven of us EXACTLY!"
The Warden
Hiro shuddered at the unholy sound, but despite that, his mind went to work. 'No partners are aquatic, aquatic emergence. Logic dictates that if it hasn't got the ability to move onto land, forcing it onto land gives us the greater advantage. Now, the means with which to force it to surface then onto land? Explosive fire to startle it and force it to surface, then hurl Arachnimon at it in order to drag it to land'. He doofed his right hand into the palm of his left. 'Okay, I have a plan, but there is just one thing' he said, before casting an eye to Yukio. 'Do we have any artillery or highly explosive materials?' he inquired. Admiral_Stalfos19
"It better not involve me being flung into the ocean anywhere!" Arachnimon retorted, "Because I couldn't swim if my life depended of it!" "Well, how else are we gonna fight it?" Gala asked. "Not by doing that," Arachnimon answered, before putting his down and thinking of a different strategy, "Y'know, we could always just stall and wait for the guy to come up own his on accord."
Quiksilver
"I like Arachnimon's plan, but we should probably spread out, like Kazu suggested, then spring the trap when the Digimon draws close. Sorta like a pincer movement, attack from three sides- front, left, right- to disorient him and stuff." Rika said, slightly shivering. The mist was finally starting to get to her- she was woefully under-dressed, in a vintage tank top and ripped jeans- and the ominous cry she had just heard also had a part in it. Slowly moving closer to Gala and Kazu, she continued to speak, saying, "But, if it's a purely aquatic Digimon, we'll probably have to attack it ourselves. But," Rika said as a thought suddenly hit her. "If it's resides in the water, it can't do much damage to the city and such, right? At least not as much as a land Digimon. We might not even be needed, you guys could pick it off with long-range missiles since it's in the water, and not in an urban setting, right?" she asked hopefully, looking down at her Leash, where the Coordinators and MetaTroopers could still be seen. *** Coronamon grinned. "Yep, she's talked about you. Especially the one time where you kissed her hand- woah! That's a big one!" Coronamon shouted as he heard the far-off Digimon started squeaking. Suddenly his tail went limp and his ear drooped. "Oh, this isn't going to be good, I can just tell..." he muttered to himself.
Hydra of Ages
The MetaTrooper called Sakura's display briefly maximized, her blond hair filling the screens of the Leash. "Aquatic DABO typically have powerful long-range capability. They usually employ guerrilla tactics in order to avoid destruction. Aquatic mines and typical military explosives were deemed ineffective; water-based DABO are simply far too agile for weapons meant to strike seacraft to hit properly." Her screen went back to normal, and the other Metatrooper nodded his head sagely. "I remember, it was... Seadramon," he said after a moment. "Cleaved ze top of a skyscraper from some ludicrous distance..." he said vaguely. Yukio paused for a second. "Standard procedure for a water-based DABO is to create a boundary field and force it into direct combat. They hold a reputation for being difficult to damage in a conventional manner," he said rather impartially, as if reading from a textbook. From deeper in the mists, two Gizumon flew out and circled around the area, both glowing bright red and cutting through the fog. Though they didn't remove any of the obscuring mists, changing its color seemed to make it far easier to see through, and the features of the waves became far more clear. Only a few meters out from the shoreline, what appeared to be a large arrowhead stuck out of the water, distinctly unnatural. "Deploying Aquatic Net," Sakura said over the link, as one of the two flying Gizumon released a large glowing object that collided with the water. There was a rumble, and suddenly a line had been drawn in the waves- quite literally, as the water itself seemed to rise slightly, making a ridge across the entire coast. There was another ghastly cry from the waters and a mass of foam as the arrowhead in the middle began to shake, and after a few moments, rise into the air, showing a great white cone extending far, far into the air; as this was happening, the ground began to rumble. Yukio watched the proceedings with unflinching serenity, but got a strange look to his face as the closer rumbling started. A seocnd later, his pupils flared and he dashed forward, reaching over with his arm and roughly knocking Hiro and himself to the ground- followed, not a second after, by a mass of rubbery white flesh that passed above their heads, black claws tearing into the ground behind it. 'tentacle' was the only way to describe it- it was a large, spade-like bludgeoning instrument with several long sharp objects, almost like claws, sticking out of it. The cylinder it was attached to plainly contained no bone, as it was lashed back almost as unseeably fast as it had come, literally carving its way through the side of the coast on a diagonal path back into the water. After almost a minute solid of rising, the entire creature was revealed- a massive, likely forty story high white squid with a strangle black symbol on its face stood with a lion-like mouth opening from its bottom, revealing row-upon-row of six foot fangs. It hissed and gave an earth-rumbling sound not unlike what had been heard before. "Gesomon," Yukio said plainly after a moment. The report was downloaded and sent to the Leashes impressively fast.
ADULT Level NFQ Classification Mollusk DARTS Classification 7 (AQUATIC Digimon) Previous Sighting Number: TWO (2) -Sighting One: Assaulted Japanese Cruise Ship after leaving harbor. Low power DABO; was destroyed by a team of 17 Gizumon. Ship was destroyed- approximately 18 killed. -Sighting Two: Attempted to Emerge, but was rerouted successfully by anti-Emergence algorithms. Danger level approximated to be three times that of previous sighting. Current Sighting: DATA-sampling level UNKNOWN. Current danger level UNKNOWN. Proceed with caution- suspected have an unusually high data saturation level. Special Notes: Has twelve tentacle-limbs, two of which are considered 'prime limbs'. Prime limbs are capable of ripping apart a warship with ease- lesser limbs are comparatively weak, but capable of destroying small vehicles through constriction nonetheless. Can convert nearby water into a powerful acid using ink cells located on each of its tentacles. Other techniques UNKNOWN.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Arachnimon was already staring down the mighty squid-esque DABO. He proved to be unflinching, even though he knew of the monster's sheer strength. Gala, however, retreated back on land, not wanting to get anywhere near the thing. "Alright then, let's see how this guy fights blind!" Arachnimon shouted, "SULFURIC ACID GUN!!" A jet of searing acid was sprayed from his mouth, aiming straight for Gesomon's left eye. Assuming this attack were to connect, the eye would've likely disintergrated into nothing, rendering it with only one eye to see out of.
Quiksilver
Rika swore when she saw the tentacle incoming, and bounced forward, striving to knock over Hiro, whom was in it's way. However, she was beat to the punch by Yukio; in a distinctly football-ish tackle, she took Hiro down and the tentacle swung harmlessly overhead. It was probably for the best too- Rika's small and light frame would have probably only made Hiro stagger a bit. "Coronamon!" Rika shouted, tearing her eyes away to look for her partner. He was there, forehead blazing and leaving a comet tail of sorts behind. "Hit the creature- Gesomon" -Rika hurriedly corrected herself as the info registered in her Leash- "with a Corona Flame! Go for the mouth!" A fireball was formed and at record speeds was launched at the huge squid. It blazed with an impressive flame at first, but as it got closer to the giant creature it seemed awfully small and pathetic. However, hopefully that wouldn't matter much; while the Digimon's skin looked sturdy enough to take a few blows, if they could get the Corona Flame into the creature's mouth (where it would most likely be less protected) it might stand a greater chance of doing some damage. GreyCat
"Bad day, bad day, bad day," Kazu muttered slowly when the giant squid boast its presence to them. The beast was just too huge. Leor snarled, and their was a slightly eager tone in the beat. The little beast was happy to have something to fight. And it he was like Kazu in personality, that meant he was happy too? He shook the thought away. He was a good distance from Yukio and Hiro when the tentacle reached for them, and he was torn between a horror filled realization of the reach it packed, relief that the two managed to avoid the blow and pleasure that his plan was proving its merit so early in the game. He sprinted closer to Rika, watching the leash's screen. Gesomon not only aquatic, but it was in water. A lovely conductor of electricity if there ever was. He tracked the path of Coronamon's attack and plotted a parallel one. "Leor, add a little juice to that fire!" he instructed gleefully. Yep, we was happy to have something to fight. Leor grinned and pumped up the current that flowed in his fur. "Thunder of Prince!" The bolts of electricity shot out unerringly to the target, catching up to the fire ball swiftly, and if he timed it right, they would both hit side by side and at the same time. The Warden
Hiro was knocked to the ground before he knew what hit him. There was a tremendous crash nearby, it seemed Yukio had predicted an attack at them, that was....good? He dusted off some dirt as he picked himself up. 'Thanks' he said to Yukio. Taking the precautionary ten steps back, he crouched down and observed Gesomon through his spy lense. It was ugly sure enough, but, he remembered some small factors in regards to Gesomon, like that is has no bones besides where its supposed eyes were. A new idea came to mind. 'If we let us attack us again, we can use the Gizumon and the EGLs to pin down his arm. Then we destabilize the arm and punch through it with Coronamon' he explained to Yukio. 'I understand he would probably use the second arm, but if we can do this fast enough, it shouldn't be able to react with the speed it needs'. Hotaru987
Emiko stumbled back in surprise when the large digimon emerged from the water. She heard Yukio say the name of it earlier - Gesomon. Because it was over the water, and the fact that the DABO had large tentacles that could grab any one of them in the matter od seconds, it was safer to use long range attacks. Which wasn't a large problem for Tsunamon, but that also ment that they would be down graded to only two attacks instead of three. Not to mention they only practiced two of their attacks. She still didn't feel comfortable using their thrid attack, and that one always but a particularly powerful strain her mind. Emiko shook her head, noticing that Kazu, Rika, and Gala was already launching their attack. "Tsunamon, Heavy Vortex." Tsunamon charged up his attack in his usual way, before the large yellow beam followed seconds behind Leormon and Coronomon's attack, slowly becoming wider every second that passed. Spartan919
Kai stared dumbly at the large, squid-like creature. Yukio had called it "Gesomon" but knowing the thing's name didn't make the beast any less frightening. He stumbled backward a foot or so, then glanced at Renamon; he could see his own fear reflected in her dark eyes. Giving her a slight nod, he indicated for her to join the attack. Then, almost intinctually, he stepped back until he was standing next to Emiko. He couldn't explain it, but...Suddenly, his Leash beeped; or rather, it beeped again. Kai glanced down and saw that the Leash was filled with information about the Gesomon. Great. So now we know what it is...and that it's got acid powers and giant tentacles, along with ten more. Just makes it more fun, right? He glanced around, and saw that Emiko, Kazu, Rika, and others had launched their attacks. Hoping that his effort would quickly join the fight, he pointed a finger at the large DABO. "Renamon, Diamond Storm." He didn't shout it; the only difference was a slight waver in his voice. Renamon leaped forward, and needle-sharp shards were flung at the Gesomon.
Hydra of Ages
Gesomon roared again as a splash of acid hit it along the side. The aim was true and it hit its target spot perfectly, the only saving grace being that Gesomon lacked the giant eyes that were common to earth squid- or indeed, lacked any sort of conventional sort of eyes at all. Though the acid burned at a patch of tattooed rubber that had been mistaken for an eye, the beast seemed less worried about any sort of pain from the wound than it was the idea of being attacked at all. It gave two great, powerful roars that whipped up small waves just from the shocking power, snarling like a lion- Leiko had to to briefly cover her ears from the horrible wailing. "Kunamon!" She said, ordering the larva digimon forward. "Keep an eye on the Prime Arms! If it tries to attack, hit it with Kuna Venom!" The next assault of the digimon, made up of most of the next attacks, approached at a rapid pace. A fireball glowing with a corona of shining electricity reflecting off of the tumulus waves arced, a glowing beam of yellow light following it like the tail of a comet, into the snarling mouth of the digimon, striking the side of its presumed cheek and blasting off the side of a tooth, sending a chip flying into the open waters and dissolving into pure data. The Gesomon quieted for a second, stopping its frantic movement and stilling the waters around them for a few moments. It seemed almost docile for half a second, until the small storm of crystal fragments and, dragged to the side by the wind, cut through a few pieces of the westward portion of its mantel. It resumed its roaring louder than ever- a strange, unearthly yell like the snarling of a lion amplified a millionfold, crossed with the baying of a whale or dolphin and the sound underwater rocks and, hidden even beneath that, a single string of notes tumbling out like an arcane sort of language- ...ABASSSHKNROIZOKAS...ABASKROIZOKAS... ABAitORIZATAS...trABORITorIZA Kunamon noticed this slight wave of alien music, nonsensical scramblings of notes that somehow seemed incredibly familiar and almost forgot her cue when the prime limb came crashing down from above, attempting to crush its pesky enemies. Leiko ran to avoid it, quickly, while Yukio observed silently, luckily out of range of the strike. Kunamon jumped into the air and fired three rapid rounds of sharp black needles into the thick rubber, which seemed to do nothing at the moment. The paw grazed her side and sent her tumbling away into a tree, harmed but alive, twitching a little until she got herself held up again. A multitude of Gizumon buzzed around the creature's head, firing beams, machine gun scatter and strange glowing shells that seemed to irritate it slightly. While it gave the EGLs its full attention, it swatted distractedly with its other prime limb at the insects that surrounded it, almost like a horse shaking its tail. Spartan919
Kai stared angrily at the beast; none of their attacks seemed to have much effect on the thing. He clenched his fist, and stumbled as the Prime Limb slammed down nearby. This thing is really...really scary, he thought, involuntarily gulping. He glanced at Emiko, but the screeching quickly brought his attention back to the Gesomon. "So this thing wants to play tough with us, does it?" he muttered softly. He looked over at Rena; her attack had connected, but she was simply standing and watching the DABO in awe. "Renamon!" he called, which was rare, "we've gotta keep fighting!" She jolted at the sound of his name, and turned to look at him. "Try your Diamond Storm again, and watch out for those tentacles." She nodded, quickly leaped to the side to dodge a smaller tentacle, and launched another fury of shards at the creature.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Arachnimon was about to launch another Sulfuric Acid Gun when he got suddenly pummelled by one of the two waves that the opposing Gesomon had launched against the EGL's. He landed flat on his back. "ARACHNIMON!!" Gala ran up to comfort his fallen friend, "Are you OK?" "That... didn't... hurt!" Arachnimon grunted through his teeth as he attempted to recover, before rolling back on his feet. He did take some time to draw few breaths and take a gander at analysing his opposition a bit better. As he did so however, Gesomon started roaring an unknown language... at least according to Gala. Arachnimon didn't seem deterred, but instead charged recklessly at Gesomon, jumping at the last second and poking his legs into its face, before travelling up and around to the back its temple, where he proceeded to slash with his main claws in an attempt to get at what would likely contain its brain. But first he had to usher the Gizumon to attack the front so he could hack away in peace. "Sure hope he knows what he's doing..." Gala whispered to himself. Hotaru987
Emiko didn't expect their attacks to hit, let alone all of them. The Gesomon seemed almost trance like as he remained motionless after the combined attack, and only after Renamon's diamon strom hit, did Gesomon react, letting out a shrill scream with an underlying sound to it. Almost like a song. Emiko was mmentarily stunned by the horrible, and fear drilling cry from the DABO. Her hands flew to her ears in an attempted to block out the sound - which she knew would be futile. Emiko's ears were ringing badly, and her head was throbbing painfully. It was almost too unbearable. Next thing she knew she was being thrown to the ground, the rough movement only adding to her discomfort. She was still hearing the monsters scream even though - to the others - the sound had stopped. Emiko managed to open her eyes and saw it was Tsunamon who lunged into her, in turn saving her from being crushed by one of the DABO's tentacles. She happened to spot something white to her right, and saw it was a bottle of pills. Then she remembered. Right before she got on the helicopter one of the medical scientist there gave her the pills. It was an experimental pill - what was new - that was supposed to help her. With out any other thought - which she really couldn't form due to pain - she quickly popped three into her mouth. Whether or not it was the appropriate dosage she didn't know, but she did know that it only took minutes before her head was clear again. She was surprised that it worked so fast, but whatever. "Tsunamon lets get back in the game. Hit it with another Heavy Vortex."
The Warden
Hiro sighed a little, his plan was already on the backburner as everyone was too content in acting like flies. 'Gizumon, reload' he commanded, finally releasing his partner from the leash. 'Whoa now' was all Gizumon said as he scoped out the battle. 'Indeed, right now we need to take out a heavy hit on the Gesomon, now, if you can sweep your laser to destablize the back of its throat, we can cut through it and completely seperate it into two' Hiro explained carefully. Gizumon bobbed up and down to symbolize a nod as he charged his Gizu laser. 'Disturbance is at thirty-seven percent. Power level ninety percent. Ground stable, securing rooting program' Gizumon rambled. 'Just fire' Hiro ordered whilst calibrating the aim. The sweeping Gizu laser blasted across the water and straight into the right side of Gesomon's mouth. Gizumon then slowly moved to the left to cut through it. Hydra of Ages
The moment Arachnimon jumped onto Gesomon's mantel, the massive seabeast gave a final roar and closed its mouth. Its tentacles, who had been previously swatting at and attempting to grab the illusive Gizumon prey, instead pointed directly upward and waved seemingly pointlessly. The water around the creature churned and darkened, sending large waves of powerful acid that sprayed at the shore of the beach, endangering the DABO there. Leiko dodged just in time, gasping a little as a dark droplet hit an uncovered back leg and burning it slightly. She twisted around and swatted at it, removing the acid from her skin, but it had already left a bad burn. She winced a bit, even as her Leash clicked again. "What iz zit doing?" the foreign operator asked, his tone suspicious and he seemed obviously tensed. A single Gizumon dropped from the back and scored downward across the face with what looked like a digital blade; the Gesumon shook its head at the contact, obviously angered at its mantel being severed and scored a lucky hit with one of the prime limbs, crushing that Gizumon and damaging about seven others that were in the way. One of the operators swore loudly, though it wasn't entirely certain who. The released data of the destroyed Gizumon floated around for a moment before being drawn to Gesumon, almost as if from gravitation, and inserted itself into its larger wounds, repairing them. Sakura's face flashed onto the leashes. "What is it doing?" she hissed, "That's not an ability DABOs have! Gizumon can repair their armor by assimilating new data, but not even EGLs are capable of spontaneous regeneration in the middle of combat!" "It's submerging itself!" the foreign man yelled again, almost as if he had figured something else. The other operators made tense sounds, and almost as if confirming him, the Gesumon ducked down quickly, its prominent white body crumbling down like a popped helium-filled balloon, evading the ranged attacks that were aimed at it completely. Within a few moments, only the white tip of its mantel and the two prime limbs were visible and a second later, even that was hidden beneath the dark waters- though the limbs stayed and continued to swat an attack, occasionally getting a lucky blow. "Is it hiding?" Leiko hissed largely to herself, then felt her heart sank when she heard something... writhing... in the darkness of the waters. A red tentacle, much different from any they'd seen already, lashed out like a rocket towards the ground, shattering it and sending shrapnel rocks everywhere. A glint of metal could be seen from the tip of the new limb, which was followed almost as an afterthought by a prime limb crashing down on the other side. Admiral_Stalfos19
Only barely managing to avoid drowning from a submersion of his own, Arachnimon continued to slash at the back of Gesomon's mantle, stopping only once he made a decent sized dent. Even then, it was only so then he could perform another technique. "MOLTEN COLLISION!!" Arachnimon aimed a punch at the dent he made, the claw he was punching with surrounded by a dark aura. At this time, Gala switched to 'EGL First Person View Mode', and was glad to see the resulting sight, now fully aware of Arachnimon's intent. "Alright guys," Gala called out, "as soon as Arachnimon pulls this off, let him..." Before he could finish, Gesomon had begun to submerge again, Arachnimon narrowly escaping being taken with it. But at least he managed to get back on land with the help of one of the prime limbs on the giant squid. "Damn it, if I was just that little bit faster, I would've had him!" Undoubtedly, Arachnimon would've pissed some of his teammates off, but he was adamant he had the right idea. Only the execution was off... maybe by a mile...
The Warden
Hiro was a safe enough distance, but that idiot bug, he attacked head on a giant creature without even thinking. 'PULL BACK' Hiro shouted over the loud destructive noises. It was a squid, what do they do when threatened by contact, squirt ink. If they survived this, he was going to kill Arachnimon himself, but not if Gizumon did it first. Then, the DABO began to absorb the fallen data, that too makes things problematic. But what troubled Hiro first was the red tentacle, Gesomon didn't have a red tentacle, could it mean? 'There's two of them' Hiro claimed.
GreyCat
"Aiyee-aah!" Kazu swore when the red tentacle lashed out. He was far enough away to run for it, but Leor had darted in closer to get a better shot from himself. And, as a consequence, was in a prime spot for sharp, pointy pain. Sliding to a halt, Kazu used the storage feature of the leash to hand Leor out of the way and sprinted himself. He let Leor out when they cleared the shrapnel. Leor got some good hits, but he looked okay. As for Kazu, a nick or five on his legs, but a good size chunk glanced off his back and would develop into a spectacular bruise in a few hours. If not minutes. But he'd gotten worse in training. Leor leveled a look at him. Protesting the move. "That was definitely strange. Gesomon was white, not read. Consider it an emergency recall." He was trying to keep upbeat, but Hiro voiced his fear. Curse that boy. "Leor, we can't see the DABO, but your Thunder of Prince is electric based. You think the water will conduct it enough to entice our suddenly shy target to show his ugly face again?" "Only one way to find out!" Leor roared. "Thunder of Prince!" A move that depended on Leor's agitation to generate static electricity, this bolt was huge; thick lashes of gold and silver blue struck into the water, pour current into it. Now, to see if it would work.
Spartan919
Kai stood, stunned, after the Gesomon pulled its "stunt." He shook himself clear, however, when the other INVERSE members began moving again. He shook his head, then turned to Renamon. "What now?" he asked her. She nodded towards the water, then shook her head, her eyes dark. I could go down there; I'm not as effective as up here, but I can do something. That was the message Kai got. He nodded. "Right, go then." He stopped himself. "In fact, climb up onto that tentacle, and find out what it's got in its grip." She nodded, then sprinted away. He watched as she leaped onto the red tentacle and began running up it. It was long, and Rena seemed to be pacing herself. Just be careful, he willed her. In the meantime, Kai turned to Leiko. "I don't think it's hiding. It's big enough to take us, so my guess is that it's got something planned. Unfortunately, that something probably won't bode too well for us." Hydra of Ages
The bolt of lightning thundered into the ocean with a loud crack, but nothing seemed to stir for a moment- and then, three long spikes protruded from the white surf, like horns of the devil. What appeared to be a solid loop of darkness appeared in the water, a circular patch of unnatural dark water where the Gesomon's mantel had been briefly. Three hornlike objects stood out of it, like a crown of some sort adorning a devil's scalp, stood out of it as a strange indication of its existence. The gizumon swarmed around in confusion- eventually, one broke from the herd to dive directly into the darkness. There was only a moment before a massive crunch was had- the Gizumon didn't return from the darkness, and suddenly, two massive yellow eyes appeared into the darkness. Seven giant red limbs, none quite as thick as the prime limb but nearly as long, suddenly rose up in a circle around the darkness- most holding a sort of strange object. Three held swords, two thick long cutlasses and one rapier, and another sported a golden hook. Some sort of hairdryer-gunlike object was held in the one furthest from the back, and the one that had emerged earlier, which Renamon could now see clearly, held a small metallic canon in its grasp. "That's not Gesomon," Leiko said shortly after a moment, her eyes growing larger all the while. The DABO, whatever it was, pounded the ground with its various limbs- it fired a massive shot from its cannon, a concussive piece of metal firing out and sinking a massive hole into the ground luckily far from any of the DABO, but the gun stayed unused at the moment. The bladed weapons came down and attemped to strike any of its foes in false, catching at least a few of the Gizumon in the swarm as it did so. Meanwhile, remaining prime limbs of the Gesumon continued to slam and attempt to destroy their opposition, though they seemed weaker and almost less targeted. While they had been a pressing threat before, now they were simple to dodge in comparison to the current onslaught.
Quiksilver
"What is that?" Rika asked desperately, as the red-limbed creature rose from the sea. "How many of these things are there?!" The cannon leapt and Rika jumped as the cannonball was sent flying- luckily, nowhere close to the Inverse members. Looking around, she targeted in on Yukio- as the one who had identified Gesomon before, he would be the most likely person to know who that was. Gesturing to Coronamon to stay close to her, she worked her way over. "Yukio!" she shouted as she drew near. "What is that thing?" Rika turned and locked eyes with Coronamon as she waited for an answer. Simply from each other's face the two were able to communicate- Coronamon wanted to attack, while Rika was advising caution. Whatever this thing was, it was more dangerous that Gesomon, who had been no slouch. Reluctantly accepting that fact, Coronamon stood down and simply watched the tentacles, though he was ready to hit one with a Corona Flame if any of those tentacles drew near. In a way, Coronamon hoped one of the tentacled did draw near- maybe then he would be able to use his more powerful Coro-Knuckle attack.
GreyCat
"Ffffffffooooooo---!" Kazu pushed out as he censored himself. "I changed my mind! Stay below the water. Be shy, I don't mind!" He cried out as he sprinted form the shore to the land. That was not gesomon. That was definitely not gesmon. Gesomon on mutagens maybe, but not gesomon. He skidded to a halt when he heard Leor cry out "Thunder of Prince!" The blasted cat was still there! He turned and raced back, snagged him with the leash again and dashed at a flat out run away from the tentacles. Clear of the danger zone, he dumped Leor and pulled up the communications. "Ah, operators, we have a problem." He said blandly. "Unless gesomon found a barrel or ten of radioactive waste at the bottom of that lake, he brought a friend. And his friend is something of a bully." He looked down at Leor. "If you guys have a nice back up prepared, preferably godzilla, please provide." Hotaru987
There was so much going on that it was hard for Emiko to keep up, but one thing she was aware of was the change in the Gesomon. It was....Different now? There were huge shots fired from the cannons and suddenly Emiko knew that it must have been because of the data from the Gizumon. She rememebred the Gesomon had obsorbed the data, "If that's the case....Then things are about to get even more difficult." Emiko and Tsunamon were doging the tentacles that slammed against the ground. "Tsunamon we need to find some way to get close to it." "That's kind of impossible at the moment!" Tsunamon yelled back. Emiko scoffed but the expression passed so quickly it was almost impossible to tell what happened. "Run across one of the tentacles. If it can just re emerge just for a couple of seconds...Then we can attack it." The Gesomon - well it wasn't excatly a Gesomon anymore. What it was Emiko didn't know, but whatever it was it was even stronger. But to attack it now would be pointless, at least for her anyway. Unlike Leor, the water would not prove helpful but only a hinderence.
