GreyCat
"Documents?" Kazu asked, not dropping Rika's hand. "Documents from the desk of the oh-so-cold-and-distant Yukio? Possibly sensitive, high ranked, DABO and Inverse Project related Documents?" Kazu looked as the folder in a new light; a greedy, insanely curious light. He didn't know anything much about Yukio. His aloofness was legendary. Really. Rumors were spread about it within the ETA complex. After all, one couldn't live that distant while being in charge without people coming up with reasons why. Kazu's favorite story about Yukio was the one that claimed he was an experimental artificial being created to test the viability and validity of creating an army to face the DABO. And no, no matter what you think or heard, Kazu was not the one who started that rumour. Honest. He smiled and considered trading his fighting spirit badge for the shifty eyes one. Better yet, he could buy one of those small digital displays and program it with emoticons. "So Leiko," Kazu smiled, stopping before her zoned out again. He looked up and down the corridor. Aside from them, it was empty; devoid of personnel or other traffic. In other words, clear. His smile threatened to turn into a grin. "Will you be sharing your reading material with the rest of us? You must be dying to know just what information is in there that pertains to us."
Spartan919
Kai glanced curiously at the folders. Yukio left them? That seemed surprising; as far as he could remember, Yukio didn't usually "forget" things. But he felt something stir in him, a curiosity that was all too common. "Well, I guess you'll just have to hold on to them until you can get back to Yukio and return them. And it could never hurt to know what it is you're saving, is it?" He hadn't meant to sound so...persuasive. "I mean...I just think it's stupid to be holding on to something, and not know what that something is. Come on, let's put that to the side for now, and enjoy...or do our best to enjoy dinner. We can always come back to this thing after dinner, right? It's not like once you set it down, it'll vanish into thin air." Except, with what Kai knew about DARTS, the folder quite possibly could.
Quiksilver
Rika blushed slightly when she saw Kai take her hand, and then harder when Kazu kissed her other hand. "Well, I guess we are moving on then..." As the group moved towards the door, Rika heard a "Hey guys, wait up!" and looked back to turn; it turned out to be Leiko, and Kai dropped back to talk to her, while Kazu still held onto her hand. "Oh, well, you know, I'm just like that..." Rika said mischeviously in a belated answer to Kai's question. She was quiet for the next few minutes, though, as she heard about the file Yukio (Damn, I said Yukito last time...). "Wow, top secret stuff? I gotta see this..." Rika let go of Kazu's to turn back and examine the folder in Leiko's hands. "Nice...why don't you open it, Leiko? It's better to do it now than ever, in case Yukio comes back to get it..." Rika said, glancing at Kai. "By the way, Kazu and Kai...if either of you feel sick, tell me. I touched some weird goo with my hands while I was snooping around one of the labs and I've felt queasy ever since." *** Coronamon simply yawned in reaction. "Of course he said we're going to die," Coronamon said, indifferently examining one of his claws, though he had a lopsided grin on his face. "I mean, this is a top-secret hush-hush no-talking organization, right? I mean, it wouldn't have been right if he didn't say that."
Hotaru987
Emiko laughed slightly, something she doesn't really do often. The noise sounded forgine even to her own ears. "I guess I should have expected that response." She realized that this was the longest conversation she has held with someone other than Paomon. Speaking of which, the small child-level digimon began jumping in his spot trying to get his tamer's attention. "What is it Paomon?" Her responce was a grumbling sound coming from the small digimon. Paomon groaned in agonoy as his body comically deflated. "So...Hungry..." "Oh, well I suppose that is our que to leave." Emiko said looking at Coronomon. "It was a pleasure talking to you Coronomon. If you have nothing to do it would be nice for some extra company. Though, if you'd rather wait for your partner I understand, and look forward to our next meeting." She said as she started walking off. However she only got three steps out, before her hand shot to steady herself on the wall. Her other hand gripped her head tightly. "N-not..Again..." She mumbled leaning against the wall. Paomon seemed to snap out of his self moaping and hopped his way over to Emiko, "Are you ok? How bad is it this time? Maybe I should call a do-" Emiko waved her hand at the digimon dissmisively, "No....I-i'll be fine...It's not as bad...Just give me a few minutes." She whispered sliding down the wall into a sitting position.
Hydra of Ages
"Guys!" Leiko said, trying to look stern, "We can't just look at secret documents like that! It's not right to go snooping in on other people's business-" Even if that person's business was distant, cold Yukio. Emotionless, unreasonable Yukio that she'd always had the oddest feeling was trying to hide something- though she couldn't say what. "...Okay, maybe just a peek," she amended quickly, flicking open the folder. The sheet on top looked recently printed, though it didn't have a date on it- in fact, it looked rather blank. "A table of contents?" she said, raising her eyebrow at what was listed there. "Project Arkadia Mission Statement... Project Arkadia Mission Reports Numbers One through Eight..." She briefly flicked though the pages. None of them seemed to be titled anything to do with 'Project Arkadia'. So either some of the listed pages were never put in the folder, or Yukio took them with him when he left. She scanned the list of the rest of the literature, which for the most part seemed to be in order. A lot of it was just indecipherable graphs and charts labelled with numerals, but some of it seemed a little interesting. One thing in particular did stand out, however. "1956. Monster Sighted Outside of Shinto Shrine..." she read quietly. It was a newspaper clipping, slightly faded from age, with a few short paragraphs about a reported sighting of a devil by some obscure shrine on the outskirts of Tokyo. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to have been written in a tabloid paper- not exactly a stellar primary source. So why was it there with the rest? Could it have been a DABO sighting? ...Well, no, it couldn't have. The first Emergence happened in 2001, everyone knew that, and there would be no reason to hide previous ones, would there have been? Besides, at first, only Adult-Level DABO were able to pierce the fold and enter- big ones, like Greymon and Kuwagamon. The monster described by the paragraph was about seven feet tall- not exactly gigantic, for DABO standards.
March 5, 1956 - Last Monday, Sakura Oniharu, the priestess of a small shrine to the spirits of the West Tokyo Wastes, was surprised by an encounter of an entirely otherworldly nature. "It was beyond anything I've ever sensed," she reported, "Like a demon more than a spirit." When questioned, she said without a doubt that she felt the being was malign. "It was tall, like a man, though its arms were longer than the rest of its body, with glowing red eyes and no mouth." Reportedly, the priestess had been outside, cleaning some of the ceremonial lanturns strung outside of the building, when the creature stepped out of the fogbanks and regarded her. "It was horrible," she said, "Even being around it seemed to suck the life from you." When asked how she got away, Sakura was unable to give a proper answer. "I really don't know. It's one of those mysteries- at one moment it was staring me down, surely likely to eat my soul- when there was a break of light, and I fell unconcious. When I woke up again, I was on the ground, my hip was broken, and the sky was clear again." Sakura Oniharu claims it was divine intervention that saved her. "The spirits of the Wastes are what did it -they always look after the faithful," she reported confidently.
Spartan919
As Leiko held the newspaper clipping up, Kai let his eyes roam over it. He was as surprised as Leiko; was it possible that this was, in some way, an earlier DABO sighting? Kai shook his head, struck by the implications. But those quickly left his mind, and he was now filled with something else, determination. Determination to ask Yukio about said files, and see what exactly he knew about them. And maybe even figure out what this Project Arkadia is. However, Kai was glad to be able to read whatever he could get his hands on, and he figured he would be able to return the papers to Yukio just as easily as Leiko could. His eyes roamed over the manila folder, and he knew what he would do. "Hey, Leiko. You want me to hang onto those folders for you? There'd be less of a chance of you getting in trouble, and I'd take them straight back to Yukio, after dinner and training, of course." And as soon as I've been able to learn all there is about whatever this Project 'Arkadia' is, and about this supposed 'monster' sighting.
Quiksilver
Rika looked over the other's girl's shoulder and frowned. "Project Arkadia?...but there are nothing in there but graphs..." Rika mumbled, and she, like Leiko, read over the newspaper clipping. Wait a second. All the reports said that the first Digimon sightings started in 2001...so why would that article- which was in a Digimon-related folder- talk about a demon sighting in 1956? "Do you think the government has been lying to us?" Rika said, more to herself than anyone in particular. "Could it be that Digimon Emergences have been going on for a longer time than we thought?" *** Coronamon's smile grew bigger as he heard that he was invited to lunch with the pair. He liked the girl, especially since she had laughed at his joke. And the Digimon...well, he was a Digimon, right? Of course he had to like him. "Great!" Coronamon said. "Of course I'll come to lunch with ya- I'm starving too. And, don't worry about Rika," Coronamon said breezily, "She promised to come and find me, so I'm sure she'll join us at lunch or somethingl. She's never let me down yet."
GreyCat
Kazu scanned the document over Leiko's shoulder. Considering her height, it wasn't all that hard. He still had a slight smile on his face form Rika’s reaction to his kiss. He had been fearing a slap, or something along those lines, but a blush was a welcome surprise. Project Arkadia looked interesting, but it was probably filled with all sorts of assorted technobabble. He wasn't in the mood to try deciphering those kinds of jargon right now. Maybe later, if he was bored, but not now. The monster sighting thing was more interesting. He looked with raised eyebrows at the others and their reactions. They honestly looked surprised at the information. Well, he guessed they weren’t browsers of tabloid papers. “The government make’s it’s living off lying to people,” Kazu commented. “That’s the basis of politics. I can bet that half the people here, including us, don’t know a third of the things that go on in this place.” He reached over tapped the clipping with one finger. “Things like these come from all over the world,” he said with the surety of one who has done all, or at least some, of his research. “Yeti, Bigfoot, Rosewell, Kappas, kitsune, nekomata; I think they all have something to do with unreported and undiscovered emergences. Considering that DARTS is a rather new program, think of what they might have missed all those years ago.”
Hotaru987
Luckily for Emiko her headache only lasted for a few minutes before she was yet again on her feet, with a relieved Paomon in her arms, chatting away about how she shouldn't make him worried. However, Emiko simply ignored him, as it seems to be the norm with the two and looked down at the other digimon with them. "The let us depart." She said softly, her shoes once again making en echo in the hallway. Before long the three companions arrived at the ETA Level. They passed by many other members of DARTS, some giving the three looks ranging from fear to disgust, while the rest ignored the trio. Not like it really bother Emiko since she didn't speak to others often. Large screens seemingly floated all around the complex, often being used for announcements or emergency signals. The large area was equipped with pretty much every leisure activity the ones on the surface would have access too. Though, the three were currently venturing to the sector where all vending, and food supplements are obtained. "So what shall we e-" "Tacos!" Paomon instantly shouted his two flappy dog-like ears bouncing happily along with the digimon. "But we ate tacos earlier, and yesterday, and the day before that." "You can eat too many tacos." Paomon said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Tacos are like...Like cell phones and humans. You can't live without them." Emiko simply shook her head at her taco loving digimon, once again wondering how she ended up with a partner like him. "Would you care to make a suggestion Coronamon?" Secretly she was hoping that he would because if she ate one more taco she would scream. Seriously...
Hydra of Ages
Leiko frowned. Something about that didn't seem right. "Yeah, but Kazu, if DABOs have been around for longer than DARTS has, why have they always been able to stay hidden?" She scratched her head a little. "I mean, DABOs make a lot of damage. Even Child-Levels can trash the better part of a city if we don't get to them quick enough. Before the Gizumon, they had to roll out the tanks and everything just to a put a dent in some of their armor... and even that doesn't work sometimes. If Emergences happened before, people would have some evidence of it, wouldn't they?" He bit her lip. "Plus, DABOs are violent. Things like Bigfoot and Kitsune are supposed to avoid targeting large amounts of people- they shy away from large crowds. But DABO specifically go after crowds, even when we're evacuating... that's why they never Emerge in the middle of nowhere. The military couldn't have intercepted them every time, could they? I mean, even some of the weaker DABOs gave them trouble back in the day..." This folder was getting more interesting by the moment. "No thanks Kai, I think I can handle it..." she muttered, while flicking through the folders. It was difficult to keep walking while doing so, so she kept herself from reading stuff in detail and just skimming. There were reports from Project Inverse in here too- early ones. Interviews with test subjects both pre and post operation -the ones that survived, anyway- details on experimental EGLs that never made it into existence... What could Yukio have possibly been doing with that information?
Spartan919
Kai watched her walk, irritated that she hadn't given him the folders, and obviously not picking up on the fact that Kai's fingers were itching to snatch that folder away from her. He controlled himself, however, and ran a hand through his hair. With slight amusement, he noticed that she was having difficulty reading and walking at the same time. He slowed until he was walking behind her, then slid in behind her. Confident that she would not try to stop him, he gripped her shoulders in his hands, and held her in a straight line. "There. Now you can read those files without having to worry about where you're going. I'll keep an eye out," he added, looking slightly down at her, "and I won't let you run into anything. I promise." Then, on a whim, he asked, "Could I at least look at those files once you're finished? If you insist on getting in trouble, I won't let you be alone." The Warden
Hiro was staring at a blank screen, his head slowly dipped before he raised it again. 'Hiro, you should go get something to eat and then sleep. You've overworked yourself again' Gizumon suggested. Hiro rubbed his eyes, they were a little red. 'No, I need to keep doing research so we can be prepared for what we are about to face. This will be a powerful DABO, no doubt armed with some devastating attacks. I need to consider *yawn* what we could possibly be facing' Hiro replied, but his words were lagging a little. He placed his head down on the console and fell asleep. 'You need a good rest Hiro, I'll carry over' Gizumon said to his KOed partner. From a nearby cupboard marked 'Emergency' Gizumon pulled out a blanket with his tentacles and put it over Hiro. He then connected himself to the terminal and began browsing monster entries. GreyCat
Kazu had to admit, Leiko got him there. All know DABU caused massive damage in human population centers. They didn't appear in remote areas. Only the city. And each appearance was costly and hard to hide. But what if they were violent and destructive because they emerged in the city. Maybe the violence was caused and driven by some element in the location. If that was the case, smaller emergions is remote areas could have escaped the notice of the general populace. But he didn't voice his opinions. He gave his thoughts, Leiko gave hers. To push it too much might annoy them. It suddenly occurred to him that Rika hadn't said anything in a while. Remembering the original reason they were even walking together, he made a suggestion. "Seeing that those files are oh so interesting," he said carefully, trying not to seem eager to rifle through them, "we could avoid walking and reading and head down to get food? The reason we left?" he grinned. "You didn't forget now, did you?"
Hydra of Ages
Leiko shook her head, realizing this was nuts. "No, Kazu's right, we should just get to the cafeteria," she said, closing the folder after a moment's hesitation. After all, she could read it while eating, couldn't she? She shook off Kai and gave him a slightly odd glance, then shrugged. "I guess it's not fair if I keep them to myself. We can read them together... as long as, you know, we all agree not to mention to Yukio we studied his private documents. I don't think we want him angry at us before we go off on our first main assignment..." she trailed off, letting the contradiction pass her lips without comment; Yukio never got angry. Annoyed, maybe, and he definitely got sharper and colder at times, but it was really quite difficult to pick out his individual emotions at all, really. They left DELTA Complex via the usual elevators -the staircases being steep, dangerous-seeming things that were typically only used in emergency, or when the elevators were out of order- and entered the bustle of ETA complex, mingling with the crowd of lower-level workers. ETA complex could best be described as a small city. The holographic sun shone overhead, giving off light that could almost pass for the real sun's own if it had actual heat to it, giving the impression that it was nearing dusk as it hovered near the west end of the 'sky'. Though there was an incredible variation of stores, including multiple eateries, the most common place to eat was of course the Cafeteria. Though what it served was of debatable quality and composed almost entirely of cheap tofu, employees could eat there for free twice a day. Members of the Inverse Project weren't given an actual pay yet -having to make do with very small stipends of money Yukio gave them on occasion for basic necessities-, but that would hopefully change when they became an actual unit. They got their food quickly, and sat down at a table. The few who knew who they were kept their distance -though others seemed to have no problem. It was almost interesting to watch, Leiko thought for a second, who was frightened of DARTS' experiments, who was simply loyal, and who didn't care either way. "Well, here's to our last night of processed Tofu. One way or the other," she muttered, holding her plastic cup of diluted vitamin-supplement fruit juice up in a mock toast. The folder sat by her plate, closed for the moment.
Spartan919
Kai had been walking silently ever since they had entered the elevator. As the entered ETA Complex, he looked around, awed as he always was by the great mass of people in DARTS. How could he have never suspected that something on such a large scale as this could exist? And yet it did, figuratively right beneath their feet, and in a manner, literally. He nodded politely to any and all DARTS members that glanced at him, enduring as always the looks they gave him. Quietly, he followed Leiko through the motions, gathering his food and heading for the table. Sitting down, he looked down at what he had been given; crap, as always. He gave a quiet chuckle, intrigued by Leiko's humor, and raised his own plastic cup of juice, and gently tapped it against hers. "To life," he said, "and friendship." Quiksilver
Rika, snapped out of her thoughts by Kazu's remarks, made a face and punched in the arm. "Course I didn't, you idiot." She said irritably; disrupting Rika's concentration was not wise. "Everyone else is leaving, let's go too." So saying, Rika turned and walked down the hallway, quickly catching up with Leiko and Kai. As they arrived in ETA Complex, Rika had the strangest urge to hit something; though most of the employees interacted with the other Inversers (As Rika had named them) with either fright or indifference, most if not all had stopped to stare at her and whisper to each other. Rika felt like they watching her, analyzing her every move, looking for the things that would have driven such a wedge between her and her father. Screw them. Rika thought, and she ignored the gossipers, instead walking and purchasing her food as if they weren't even there, even the lunch lady who looked at her for a little too long. "What makes you think this is tofu?" Rika said cheerfully, prodding the food with her fork. Her previous spasm of irritability had all but disappeared, replaced by Rika's natural humor and a want to appear unaffected by the gossipers. "All it looks like is plastic to me." Taking an experimental bite, Rika made another face. "Tastes like plastic, too." *** Coronamon smiled at Emiko again; while Rika was his best pal, this girl was getting higher and higher on his list of friends. "Everything tastes like recycled garbage here," Coronamon said conversationally, "So I'd say anything is okay with me. Let's hit up some tacos!" Imitating Paomon, Coronamon ran over to the taco stand, making sure to flap his ears as he did so. "Alright, looks like I got enough." Coronamon said, his plate stacked precariously with strangely white tacos. "Hey I think I see the rest of them over there!" Coronamon gestured with his head (hands being otherwise busy) to a table in the Cafeteria, where, indeed, most of the other unit members were sitting. "Hey! Rika!" Coronamon called. A dark-haired head looked up, and even from across the Cafeteria Coronamon could see the smile light up her face. "'Sup Cor! Get over here!" Coronamon looked at Emiko. "Shall we?" he asked. Hotaru987
Emiko held the tray in her hands slightly disappointed that they were eating tacos again. With a sigh she began looking around for an empty table. While looking she spotted a group of kids, who she remembered from the meeting earlier. She was going to shy away - people were not her strong suit - but Coronomon had apparently saw them as well because he called out to his partner, Rika. Coronomon asked Emiko if she would accompany them and she was going to decline but Paomon thought otherwise- "Of course!! Let's get going!" The happy digimon exclaimed hopping - he carried no tray seeing as he was just a head - his way over to the group and onto the table, before exclaiming excited at meeting other tamers."Hello there everyone! I'm Paomon!" Emiko stared blankly at her partner before sighing. "I guess I should so I can become acquainted with the others on the team." Emiko said quietly her face still a blank expression. She waited for Coronomon to move before slowly trailing behind, standing awkwardly beside an empty seat at the table. "Um...Hello. I apologize for my digimon's rude behavior..." Even though her body posture said she was feeling awkward, her face didn't change at all.
Hydra of Ages
Leiko chuckled and drank her now-toasted vitamin supplement. It tasted like cheap fruit-flavored medicine, which chances were, it actually was. She blinked as another EGL came up to them -this one a canine being-, followed by her tamer. "Oh, it's no trouble," she assured the girl. It was odd- Leiko was sure she'd seen all members of the Inverse Project before, but this girl she barely remembered. Perhaps she just didn't stick around with the rest of them? She remembered seeing her during the meetings, at least. "Pull up a chair," she offered, "We were just discussing some things before we go on the mission tomorrow." Her eyes were drawn to the folder beside the plate. Should they bring it up? Could they trust this new girl? Wait, that was nonsense. It wasn't like they were orchestrating a huge conspiracy, they were just snooping in a folder they found entirely by accident- and besides, they were privy to a good deal of DARTS' secret information anyway, being part of one of their more hush-hush projects. Hotaru987
Emiko wondered whether she should take the invitation to sit. They didn't seem like terrible people, and they were going to be working together soon. She figured she should sit and get to - or at least try - know them. "Thank you.." She mumbled softly before taking her seat, slanting her legs slightly to the right, and laying her tray on the table. Paomon instantly began chowing down comically making 'Nom'ing sounds. Emiko watched her digimon for a few moments before addressing the entire table. "My name is Emiko...I am pleased to meet you all." Like always her voice remained soft and monotone, with her facial expression remaining unchanged. If one didn't know her you would think she didn't care at all about the conversation, or the people around her.
Quiksilver
Rika simply grunted a response to Emiko, otherwise busy with drinking the vitamin supplement. Coronamon, with that stupid grin he always has on his face, slid in next to her. "What did you guys get?" Coronamon said, "I got tacos. But these tacos look like they're made out of the same thing of....um...what is that you're eating?" Rika, who had finished drinking by now, looked at Coronamon incredulously. "Is that the only thing you can talk about?" she said. "Food?" "It is, when I'm hungry!" "You're always hungry!" Am not!" "Am to!" Rika and Coronamon's conversation quickly degenerated into a childish debate "am too!" and "am not!"'s, leaving the rest of the company to shake their heads about the pair's silly relationship. GreyCat
"Hi Emiko," Kazu said as he chuckled over Rika and Coronamon's argument. It was something like a wilder, childish version of what he and Leor went through at every meal. Though he was generally on the receiving end of the accusations As for Emiko, she seemed almost as distant as Yukio was. And here he thought that was impossible. "I'm Kazuma, but most people just call me Kazu. We were discussing the quality and composition of the food they serve here." He took a sip of his drink and a bite of his so-called tofu. He glanced around shiftily, leaned forward and whispered, as if he sharing a great secret. "Personally, I think it's silicone and watered down cough medicine." Hotaru987
Emiko simply observed the interactions between Coronomon and Rika, not really having an oppinion on it but did find it slightly odd. But she turned from the scene to look at Kazuma. He seemed nice enough, and she could tell he was very tall - though when you're only 5 feet tall everyone seems bigger than you. When Kazu leaned forward and whispered what he suspected the food to be made off, Emiko raised an eyebrow only slightly. "I...Do not think that would be possible...Sillicone is not for human consumption. One would die if it is injeste-" "It was a joke." Paomon inturruped jumping onto Emiko's plate and eating the food she had now that his was all gone. "Oh..." Emiko mumbled looking down slightly. This was so different for her. The whole thing with talking and interacting with people was new to her. People always thought she was weird because she didn't express normal emotions like everyone else, and her face remained the same - rarely changing from her blank look. She still had emotions, but it just took her longer to register the emotion going through her but by time her brain processed it something else happened, and thus the whole process of deciphering the emotion started again. It was too complicated, so when people asked what was wrong with her she never answered knowing that they wouldn't be able to understand.
Spartan919
Kai had been watching Rika and Coronamon with disguised amusement, but the arrival of Emiko proved to be a very timely distraction. Nodding curtly to Rika and the others, Kai scooted until he was sitting next to Emiko. Now he was closer to her, he saw that she seemed unbelievably small, though Kai knew better than to pass judgment based only on a person's size. He listened to the conversation between Kazu and Emiko, and noted that she did not have much of a sense of humor. Neither did he; he could sympathize with her. He, on a sudden whim, decided that now would be a good time to let Rena out. She had been stuffed inside the Leash for most of the day, and she had to be getting cramps. He pulled the device out of his pocket, and tapped a few controls. Rena appeared next to him, gave him a curt nod, and headed off to get her own food. Kai sighed; he could tell she was angry with him, quite possibly because he had kept her stuffed in there so long. He turned, instead, and focused on Emiko. "My name's Kaimasaru, but everybody calls me Kai," he said with a smile, adding quietly, "except those stuffy high-rank types."
The Warden
Hiro, our erstwhile science boff was stilll sound asleep on the keyboard. Gizumon was supposed to be checking up on monster data and weaknesses, he was however, erm, dancing. 'Cynthia she's a really cool dancer Cynthia, boogie to the groove now' he sang whilst moving his metal legs and twisting around on his base. 'Shake it shake it you're so fantastic, just don't break it you're only made of plastic. Cynthia, she's a really cool dancer, Cynthia; boogie to the groove now' he continued singing and dancing. Hotaru987
Emiko was still looking down when she finally noticed the person that was suddenly beside her. Her eyes cut to the side to see who it was, and wasn't surprised to see yet another tall male sitting - Well very close to her. Other than Paomon, this guy was the only other person to be so closer to her. He introduced himself as Kaimasaru, and like Kazu, gave a shorter version for her to call him by. "Stuffy...High-rank.." Emiko mumbled softly, repeating what Kai just said. "Yes...I know the type. I see them all the time in the medical ward..." She finished glancing up at him, then around the table at each individual person. They didn't seem like terrible people. Though she guessed they were used to strange things seeing as they all had EGLs like she did. From the corner of her eye she noticed yet another EGL, but it wasn't there when she first sat down. But who's was it? Her first guess was Kai, since he was sitting the closest and the digimon did seem to look at him before leaving. "Was she yours - uh Kai?" While waiting for a responce, Emiko felt her bow loosening up but before it could fall off she tightened it. Losing the red bow was something she didn't want to happen. Emiko treated the old, worn out ribbon delicatly, pulling it slightly to make sure it was secure. When she was positive it was fixed she turned and looked up at Kai waiting for his reply.
