I'm going to celebrate my return to 1 on 1s, because I friggin feel like it!

Rules:

You call the shots. First one with an interesting challenge will be my opponent.

This will be handled anonymous, please prepare your card accordingly, then send it to me via PM.

First one to 4 votes wins. Votes can be declined by either participant if they're given without valid reasons.

Prize:

+1 Reputation for the winner, given by the loser

The Task:

"Create a Ritual Monster with a Ritual Spell Card that supports an archetype or mechanic."

[spoiler=Cards A (0)]320616.jpg

When 2 Machine-Type monsters are destroyed by battle at the same time, you can activate this card from your Deck. This card is used to Ritual Summon "T.G. Ultimate Death Machine". You must also Tribute monsters whose total level equals exactly 9 from the field or your hand. You can remove from play this card on your Graveyard to draw 1 card.

320616.jpg

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Battle Collision". When this card destroys a monster by battle, add 1 "Tech Genus" monster from your Deck to your hand. If that card was a Synchro Monster, select 1 monster you control instead. It is treated as a Tuner Monster until the End Phase.

[spoiler=Cards B (2)]234848a.jpg

This card is used to Ritual Summon "The Gadgeteer". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more. During either player's turn, you can remove this card in your Graveyard from play. Until the End Phase, Machine-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle and you take no Battle Damage from battles involving them.

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "Tinker's Gift". This card gains 400 ATK for each "Red Gadget", "Green Gadget" or "Yellow Gadget" in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card (except a "Red Gadget", "Green Gadget" or "Yellow Gadget") to Special Summon 1 "Red Gadget", "Green Gadget" or "Yellow Gadget" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can return 1 "Red Gadget", "Green Gadget" or "Yellow Gadget" in your Graveyard to your Deck instead.

I'm looking for a formidable challenge, don't disappoint me ;)

So long,

Spoon

I want to do this. Will edit this post to challenge.

<<<CHALLENGE>>>

Create an Exceed monster. That monster must work on burning and must fit an existing lockdown.

Cool?

Nope, too much Exceeding floating around currently, I hate burn and lockdown decks... yeah, doesn't really sound like fun :( Feel free to try something else.

Okay,make a f***ing good card.Thats the challenge.

Yeah... just... let it be.

make 1 DARK monster card that can only be special summon by tributing 1 Fusion monster that has remain face-up on the field equal to it's level?

Too specific, and it would be already bad because of it's Summoning conditions.

I GOT !!! MYTHOLOGICAL GREEK CARDS!!!!! OR!! DARK OR LIGHT SPELLCASTER CARDS OR IF YOU DONT LIKE THAT!!! I GOT IT soz caps i got it..then it can be megaman cards

I left this section maybe 2 months ago... I should've left it forever.

Isn't there anybody out there who can build a sentence without:

-5.5 bajillion exclamation marks

-5.5 bajillion question marks

-ALL CAPS

-The words "dude", "cool" and "bro"?

-unnecessarily huge amounts of grammatical errors?

I'm seriously worried. Unless you can do so, don't bother posting here. Thank you. And if you THEN also have a halfway nice idea for the challenge, I'd gladly accept it.

As you wanted me to post.

Dear Spoon,

I am afraid that an enemy will not come. So I will be the one. Until now, I have not seen a 1 on 1 including Rituals.

Create a Ritual Monster with a Ritual Spell Card that supports an archetype or mechanic. Please consider my request.

From your challenger,

.:Raging Man:.

Dear .:Raging Man:.,

This sounds like a formidable challenge that I would feel honored to accept. I thank you for listening to my proposal. Please make sure to send me the card via the "Private Message" function once you are done. I myself will now start working on the card as well.

Sincerely yours,

Spoon

Edit: Alright, we're all set, the cards are in, you can now begin voting. Raging, I remind you that you have the right to decline any votes if you see that they're invalid or insufficient.

Now go!

PS: I just noticed: We both picked EARTH Machine-Types... huh, well, that makes it easier to compare them

*sigh* This is why I'm really starting to hate this section...

Card(s) A:

The Spell Card is balanced and carries out a good idea. However, there is one aspect of it that is extremely flawed - Ritual Spells are Spell Speed 1, and if it can be activated in response to the 2 Machine-Type monsters being destroyed, if would have to be at least Spell Speed 2. Therefore, for this to work, it must be both a Ritual Spell AND a Quick-Play Spell. You could, however, add the text: "While in your Deck, this card is treated as a Quick-Play Spell" or something along those lines. As for the monster, it's balanced and the OCG is fine (except you should omit "instead"), but once again, there's a major flaw - its last effect states that "if you add a Synchro [from your Deck] to your hand"... o_O Synchros don't go in the main Deck, and furthermore, you can't have a Synchro monster in your hand. Therefore, the entire second effect becomes pointless and impossible to pull off... However, I can see where you're going with this, and it seems like pretty nice Tech Genus support.

Card(s) B:

Typical Ritual Spell with an additional effect - and a very useful one at that. OCG seems flawless, and it acts as great Machine Support. The Ritual Monster brings out some potential of Gadgets - all the effects flow well together, and it provides nice support for them. However, the effect is a bit slow, and unless this is Summoned midgame (where its very vulnerable, even with its protection effect), you probably won't have enough Gadgets to fuel it properly. Nevertheless, an overall well-constructed card.

With that being said, my vote goes for Card(s) B - Though not extremely playable, it provides some well-organized support for an under-supported Archtype. In addition, Card(s) A had flaws that were just too big to pass up...

You got this part wrong: "If that card was a Synchro Monster" relates to the destroyed monster, not the monster added to your hand. Does that change your vote?

Ah, I see.

In that case, it should be specified: If the destroyed monster was a Synchro Monster

That makes it a little more playable. However, I'm still going with Card(s) B, because

• The flaw in the Spell card is still there in Card(s) A

• The OCG is better and more straightforward

• Better support for the archetype it supports

• The Spell of Card(s) A is too situational - having monsters that add up to exactly Level 9 may not be too easy...

However, judging from the effects alone,it would be close, so I had to go for the little details ^^

Thank you for your vote, that means we have a new score (woo...hoo?): 0 - 1!
