The Kings Speech

The King's Speech is the great biopic about how King George VI. I think Colin Firth is quite out of place as George, and although the hard struggles with the role is not convincing especially since he's physically so bad - very tall, very handsome and full command of a physical presence. Helena Bonham-Carter also is perhaps very beautiful and well made for Elizabeth. It's a powerful, hilarious and deeply moving story, told against the backdrop of a critical juncture in modern history. The movie is well paced, and carries you along to the emotional climax, so that, even though I knew the story.
