I have yet to read the short stories in there fullness, but will one day soon. These books are right at home with my H.P. Lovecraft, Occult books, and other Manga and Short stories of the Macabre and So on. I love them because Johnathan L. Howard geniously put these stories together and made the characters relatable, especially if you yourself are a Necromancer. I enjoy coming across books of this type that make the reader smile, cry, and laugh maniacally. For a full synopsis, go read the book. They are very underestimated here in America and Wikipedia has a three scentence blurb about Johannes Cabal The Necromancer and nothing on Johannes Cabal The Detective. For info and stuff, youd have to go to Johnathan L. Howards sight, his Livejournal, or find fan sights. But, if your a fan of the Cthulhu Mythos, Horror Stories, or Things that are in the semblance of either Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury or Murder on the Orient Express, check these books out.
