Renzoku Kira-
I don't know if a topic like this has been made before. Do you think that music is better today compared to the past few decades? If so explain why. If not which decade do you think had the best music. I personally don't really dislike the music we hear nowadays, but if I had to chose between modern music or music from like the 1970s to see play live I have to go with the 1970s. So discuss. Renzoku Kira-
The Beatles are like the face band of the 1960s, but I think the 1970s can't be singled out for one band. It was a mix of all of these great bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Twisted Sister, ZZ Top, Boston, Kansas, Rush, Queen, and Journey towards the end of the decade just to name some of the great bands that will be remembered for their iconic songs. Kelp'
I pretty much only listen to music from 2000 and on (Paramore <3). Not really a fan of rock and roll from the good old days.

Gospel.
I have a feeling that if classics like Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who etc were still around, they'd wind up changing their sound to be more on par with newer stuff. And they would suck.

Death Metal
I'll go today's music. Don't get me wrong, every decade had something special but I like how music (which for me is mostly metal) has progressed over the last 20-30 years. It was great back then and the variety that you get nowadays has made it even better.
Deathcore
You really can't say what's the best era for music. Sure, you can say it has an opinion, but the fact is every era of music has it's good artist and bad artists. However, 80's, 90's, and 2000's are awesome. That's what I listen to most. Also, a little late 70's as well.

Nicο
Mostly 2000's, but it depends on the song, not the era or genre.
Lazer Yoshi
The 90's by far. Megadeth, Pantera, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Helmet, The Melvins, Local H, Alice in Chains, Primus, Slayer, and so many others. Although, 80's is a close second, due to the explosion of metal.
