Admiral_Stalfos19
Took a while to finish off (I was up until midnight last night and I still wasn't quite finished with it), but this is my app. Hope it gets accepted, or at least I get told where I failed Name: Gala Reikoru Age: 16 Physical Description: Gala stands at 6' 0" and weighs 251lbs. As such, one can easily see that he is badly overweight, but he rarely seems concerned about this fact. His hair is mud brown and of an average length, but it is styled so that it lurches forwards, and from there it is matted down. The irises of his eyes are azure, and the retinas appear bloodshot, perhaps to suggest that Gala at least never used to get enough sleep in the night. Patches of his skin directly to the left of his right eye and vice versa also gradate to black, as further evidence of this possibility. The rest of his skin colour is beige, like every other "white" male or female in the world. Clothing: Gala now wears only the highest qualilty of tuxedos, which he was able to afford thanks entirely to an inheritance of money that remained in a bank account for well past his life, which he only discovered recently. The tuxedos that Gala wears are usually coupled with an equal quality of black shoes and a tie. Every single other article of clothing that he's attained over the years are given away to those that are less fortunate than he is at this stage. Abridged Bio: At first, Gala lived a life that was not so great. He had no true friends, and he almost always got bullied at school, or if not, while he was going to and from. Eventually he snapped, and decided to give the bullies a taste of their own medicine, slamming their heads together and slamming them against the wall. The bullies then turned tail and ran, and Gala was never bullied again after that day. Gala thought he'd brag about it in school one day. However, while he did so, his parents were crushed by a fallen piece of an apartment complex that was destroyed by an earthquake. Gala later heard about it in the news, and rushed to see the end result. Trying to hold back the sadness in his heart, Gala hugged his mother, followed his father. But as he did so, his father's wallet slipped out of his pocket and opened up, revealing a credit card that Gala had never seen before. It turned out that it belonged to a bank account that stored a vast sum of money, presumably previously recieved as an inheritance. Gala was ecstatic. For the first few moments of his life, he was gonna find out what was like to be rich. He traded his old clothing for some of the highest qualities of tuxedos. He also regularly gorged on some gourmet dishes. But this hardly helped him get over the true sorrow of losing his parents. Leash Description: Gala's leash remains in shards inside his pocket, as Arachnimon destroyed it as soon as Gala was able to get it off. Gala didn't mind this, as he didn't believe in causing Arachnimon harm. However, the receiver module still works perfectly fine. Gala can still use it as a PC, and he can still receive messages from DARTS. It just has one less function now, one that neither Gala nor Arachnimon wanted to have installed in the first place. EGL Partner Species: Arachnimon EGL Partner Description: Arachnimon is one of a kind. His body resembles a scorpion's for the most part, but his face consists only of one large eye, a mouth and a pair of nostrils. Arachnimon also has a multitude of appendages inside each claw. These appendages act as fingers, allowing Arachnimon to hold objects such as a ball or a stick much less clumsily than he appears to. He can also extend these appendages at will, but he only usually does so in order to maintain his man-made disguise that was made by Gala so Arachnimon can move around in public without incident. This disguise consists entirely of Arachnimon on a wheelchair donning an extra large trench-coat, with a fish bowl with an extra hole in it and a mirror inside on his head with and a ten gallon cowboy hat on top. Arachnimon is very large for a Child Level. He could even easily outheighten human adults if he were to stand on two of his eight long and slender legs. However, he cannot do so, at least not without shortly falling onto his back or stomach. His body is mostly of a dark blue color, and the Gizumon implants are embedded deep inside his back, behind where it would be estimated the back of his eye socket would be. There are at least x10 more of these implants inside Arachnimon than there are inside the other EGLs, and in addition to these, Arachnimon also wears shards of medium-sized restraining armour. As a result, not even in the unlikely event that all the implants begin to wean will Arachnimon get a chance to go truly berserk before the DARTS can respond, and perhaps subdue him if able. Arachnimon remains adamant that this is only cosmetic display, however. EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Tynectimon --> Arachnimon --> Beherachnimon --> Juggerachnimon --> Fusiorachnimon EGL Partner Personality: Unlike Gala, who's likely to always remain a good guy at heart, Arachnimon isn't afraid to cross the line between good and evil. He's a very violent EGL, but despite this, he'd never lay a finger on anyone other than his enemies. Whether this is thanks entirely to all the Gizumon implants he has or not is unknown. Arachnimon doesn't seem to think that Gala is taming him, more that the two of them are a team that seem to think alike, and have a close bond between one another. Gala also thinks that this is a more plausible concept. Arachnimon is powerful for a Child Level, and is eager to prove that he's amongst the strongest. He can even seriously damage certain Adult Levels such as Kuwagamon without breaking a sweat, and could possibly even defeat them if he were allowed to fight for ages without backup. Arachnimon relies on his physical strength to defeat the some of the lesser Digimon, saving his special attacks for those that are truly worthy of facing him in combat. Speaking the mind is not a problem for Arachnimon. He'll talk to anyone, human or Digimon, about anything at all, even if what he's about to tell should rather be secret. However, unlike other Digimon that are anywhere as violent as Arachnimon can be, Arachnimon himslef is calm and collected most of the time, but he also can be cold-blooded at times, disregarding how anyone feels about what he has to say about a particular something.
Inside one of the best restaurants in the ETA Complex of DARTS, Gala and Arachnimon were observing the menus, taking a gander at all the dishes that the restaurant had to offer. Gala was keen on trying a lobster dish, whilst Arachnimon felt the urge to gorge on a steak, eventually deciding to go with the Fillet Mignon. Gala placed the orders for the waitress to take to the kitchen. However, soon after he did so, he received a message from DARTS, saying the following. Gala Your new leash will be ready in about 3 hours. However, we recommend that you and Arachnimon be in the facility ASAP, so you can meet the other members of the Inverse Project. They are currently in the Training Area with their own EGLs, and they'd perhaps like to meet you. You are free to explore the facility, but under no circumstance are you and Arachnimon to leave without the new leash. Better safe than sorry. With Regards, The DARTS Team "Good on them," Gala exclaimed, "They just have to pick now out of all the possible timings. Should we go and get it over with?" "Nah, no need," Arachnimon responded, "Besides, if this place is as good as you say it is, then it'll be a waste of a good lobster and steak." "Yeah, it would be a waste," Gala admitted after a brief sigh before looking at the receiver module, the message sinking into his thoughts like a rock into the sea. Well, at least the two managed to keep the conversation as generic as possible. Anyone who overheard them could just as easily assume that Gala was to attend a business meeting that just cropped up or the like. In an attempt to stop Gala from thinking about the message and thus cheer him up slightly, Arachnimon pretended to turn his attention the cutlery that lay in front of him. "So why are these things here anyway?" he asked. "Well there are other people here too, Arachnimon," Gala explained, "Can't have them see you pick the steak up and eat it with your bare claws, now can we?" This didn't quite cheer him up, but something was about to. The waitress had already present Gala and Arachnimon their dishes, and they both indeed looked very appetizing. They didn't last very long though, and the bill arrived shortly after. Gala decided to pay with cash as this would allow the two to leave more quickly. He also left a note telling the waitress to keep the change, as this would suffice as his tip for delivering such a good meal.
EDIT: Finished editing, I think. Hydra of Ages
Admiral, I have a few questions regarding your application, mainly due to how they enter continuity. Firstly, your bio seems to make it obvious Arachnimon found Gala, and that he already had the Leash on him for some reason- exactly how did this happen? EGLs (Partner Digimon) are generated in-house by DARTS and are bonded minutes later- and the 'bonding' process involves the human half of that partnership asserting a position of domination over their EGL, which forms the necessary bonds to use the Leash. Your backstory implies that Arachnimon was generated, somehow stole his Leash, escaped from DARTS Hq despite hundreds of Gizumon guards on alert for specifically that reason, traveled several hundred kilometers across the Japanese Sea, entered Tokyo, one of the most populated cities on earth without inciting a riot, and made his way to a school, where he murders two children in broad daylight. Secondly, Arachnimon can't refuse to digivolve until it's absolutely necessary, as he can't digivolve at all yet (except between Baby and Child stages). I really hate repeating myself on this one, but no, none of the EGLs are capable of digivolving to Adult at the moment. They shouldn't even be aware such a thing is possible yet. Thirdly, Arachnimon doesn't appear to have any Gizumon implants from the way the physical description is worded. That makes him basically uncontrollable, and DARTS would shoot him on sight for that- by comparison, look at Yukio's Arkadimon. Arkadimon is literally braindead and can't function without Yukio telling him to do anything, but since he lacks the implants other EGLs have, he's forced to wear a massive suit of restraining armor that covers every part of his exposed body, and can be used to stop him in place if necessary. Arachnimon being a strong Child-level just emphasizes that- I even mention that the more powerful EGLs are equipped with more restraining equipment than the others are. Fourthly, your timeline is messed up. DARTS was formed only AFTER the Kuwagamon attack- meaning that the Inverse Project, and thus things like EGLs and especially Leashes, couldn't have existed before that. Also, multiple years in waiting for a new leash? DARTS, as far as anyone else knows, is only a few years old itself; waiting multiple years wouldn't be in the question, as the digimon invasion is happening now. Fifth and finally, WTH is with Gala and what's obviously a DABO, one of the murderous monsters that appear out of nowhere and attack Japan doing in an eatery without inciting mass panic? What's really amazing though, is that for some reason Gala is worried about someone realizing he's with DARTS -which is a legitimate and well-known government agency- even though he's SITTING with a digimon? I would assume Arachnimon has some sort of shapeshifting or disguising ability, but that's never mentioned anywhere, so I can't really assume that type of thing! So yeah, there were a few errors. Fix those up, and it seems like a rather good application, though I'm surprised at how little Gala seems to care that he parents were killed. Admiral_Stalfos19
I was meant to say where the Gizumon implants were? I had no idea, I was too focused on what Arachnimon actually looks like. OK, I'll go ahead and add where those implants would be. They'll probably be inside Arachnimon's back, just behind where the eye socket would be. I'll also go on to say that Arachnimon's implants are x10 more powerful than the others, and I'll change the "markings" to shards of medium-sized restraining armour. Would I be able to get away with this? For the last question, Arachnimon will actually be manually disguised (XL trenchcoat, anyone?). I was just wondering where exactly to mention it, that's all. Should I also completely change the bio while I'm at it?
Hydra of Ages
Implants are all the same strength- they all 'Stop' their EGL in their tracks, so it's hard to get 10x 'Stoppage'. Stronger/more vioolent ones just have more implants covering them, and more obvious ones, while weaker/less violent EGLs have less obvious and more camouflaged implants. You may want to tone down his power as well. The way I calculate digimon strengths (for the purposes of this RP, that is), a Child level's strength is put to the square of 2 every time it goes up a level -A child with a Power Rating of 50, for example, would become 2500 as an adult- So it's somewhat unrealistic that a single Child-level digimon could defeat an Adult-level. Which is why they're sending the entire unit of Child levels to deal with a single Adult level. But yah, make those changes and rewrite the bio, and you should be good. Admiral_Stalfos19
So I really should've put in x10 as many then... OK, I'll do that then. Also...
So it's somewhat unrealistic that a single Child-level digimon could defeat an Adult-level.
Try telling that to Rika's Renamon in the anime, cause that's exactly where I got the idea from Anyway, I've toned Arachnimon down from defeating easily to seriously damaging easily with the possibly of defeating if he had a ton of time on his hands and no backup. Hopefully he's less broken now. Wonder what the maximum power level would be for a Child Level, 'cause I was thinking Arachnimon's would be anywhere between 100 to 196. Hydra of Ages
As I mentioned, it's for the purposes of this RP. it's a different canon, so I don't necessarily have to follow the same rules- what could feasibly happen in Tamers, isn't necessarily true here. Obviously, you couldn't have possibly known that, so I don't blame you for it, but, yaknow. Eh, I haven't bothered calculating power levels for anyone but emerging DABOs yet, as I don't really want to limit the PCs with numbers.
Right now, actually. Anyway, your application is basically fine now, so accepted. Just one change I'd like you to make- start off in a restaurant inside ETA Complex DARTS instead of Tokyo, since there's no possible way that DARTS would allow an EGL to go to Tokyo if it wasn't for a specific mission or something. If you're wondering why he'd still bother to hide his digimon inside DARTS HQ, it's because the normal workers are still terrified of digimon and tamers, and getting service in the restaurant would be nigh-impossible. GreyCat
EGL (Domesticated Digimon) is your digimon partner. What type of digimon it is, what it looks like (including the restraining mechanisms and whatnuts), what it digivoles from and (eventually) to, and it's personality. The spoiler above the app helps explain it.
Admiral_Stalfos19
I've been wondering... will ideas on Emergences be accepted? 'Cause I've been thinking that giant teddy-bear-like Digimon should come up at some stage. Can't remember the name of it... actually, I can only remember three things about it: 1) It was from season 1. 2) It fired heart-shaped projectiles. 3) Palmon had to digivolve into Togemon in order to defeat it. Ring any bells, anyone?

Hydra of Ages
It is? I thought Monzaemon was only an Adult/Champion Level. In that case, how did it get beaten so easily?
Because it's a giant teddybear, and I don't think the intended audience (5-12 year olds) could take that seriously as a threat. Also, Monzaemon's a Perfect level because he originally evolved from Numemon when Digimon was a pocket-pet toy- Numemon was the Adult level that your Child digimon would become if you didn't take care of it enough, and Monzaemon would result from taking care of that resulting Numemon in turn. Sure, I'll take suggestions. Can't guarrenty I'll use them, as I actually have quite a few ideas of my own, but I'll keep them in mind. Giant Teddybear attacking Tokyo sounds surreal- I might use that.
The Warden
Monzaemon wasn't beaten, he's made of cotton, so, by technicallity Togemon's Needle Spray would go straight through him and destroy the Black Gear possessing him. It's the same as Andromon really. If they were defeated, they would have dissolved like the ones who were defeated.
