DARTS: Mission Statment and General Information
Clearance Level Omega {Public}

DARTS is governmental organization created by the Government of Japan in response to the threat of Digital-Atomite Based Organisms (Official Name; Common name "Digimon", portmanteu of "Digital" and "Monster".) to the nation, with special attenion paid in respect to the Greater Tokyo Area.

While DARTS began as a subsidery of the Greater Tokyo Police, they are currently an indepentant affilate and branch organization of the Japanese United Military Force. DARTS administrative building is found within the Shinjuku Ward of Tokyo; Military testing with DARTS goals in mind is typically done within a sanctioned priavate laboratory under Government supervision.

Commander Bisham Kudo, former police dispatcher, serves as the current head and Commander General of DARTS.

DARTS exists to protect the people from the threat of digital based lifeform attack. It will protect Humanity at all cost.

Public Statement on the Shinjuku Fires
Clearance Level Omega {Public}

The recent explosions in the Shinjuku have been identified as a digital entity similar to, but not identical to, previously studied Digital-Atomite Based Organisms.

DARTS apologizes to the people of Shinjuku for its slow response in adapting to the shifting circumstances. The Government of Japan has agreed to reinburse those injured in the incident in full, as well as provide aid in reconstruction efforts.

DARTS would like to assure the populace that previous incidents involving DARTS-affliated laboratories are completely unrelated to the being that appeared in Shinjuku, however due to security concerns, have been moved to an undisclosed offshore location.

With the destruction of the Administrative Building, DARTS main operations will be moved to an undisclosed location. General Inqueries can still be directed at the Shinjuku District Town Hall.

Public Statement on the Gizumon Presence
Clearance Level Omega {Public}

DARTS would like to thank the public for their support in response to the Digimon Threat*. Recent breaththroughs in DARTS technology have led to an important invention - the Gizumon.

Gizumon are mechanical beings that bear a superficial similarity to Digital-Atomite Basic Organisms which allows them to preform several important fuctions in regards to Digimon Attack Prevention and Digimon Deconstruction.

As the Gizumon are vital to DARTS operations, they may be found in various public areas of Japan. We ask civillians to allow the Gizumon to preform their fuctions without obstruction and to avoid panic. Gizumon are entirely harmless to all natural lifeforms, and are in direct control by members of DARTS.

DARTS and DARTS Commander Bisham Kudo thank the public for their Co-operation in this matter.
Memo on DABO Emergence
Clearance Level Eta {All DARTS Personnel}

DABO (Digital-Atomite Based Lifeforms) enter the Human World through a faultline known as the Fold.

The Fold lies in a spatial dimension that exists only in theoretical physics. As such, an Emergance Point could theoretically appear in any spot on Earth. However, it has been determined that DABOs exclusively appear in areas of high human concentration, the Greater Tokyo Area seeing a far larger rate of Emergence than any other.

Emergence points can be detected using a variety of methods, and resemble massive banks of fog to the common eye. DABO is capable of tracking Emergence Points to a maximum of three days prior.

Please refer to your supervisor for your position's proper response during Emergence Dates.

---

Relocation and the Sheer Emergence Incident
Clearance Level Eta {All DARTS Personnel}

DABO officials will withdraw from the base in Shinjuku to the main bunker beneath Aogashima. Likewise, surviving scientists and personelle of the Shinjuku Public Laboratory are being withdrawn for questioning and further study.

the manifestation of the Shinjuku Emergence was a result of failed a failed DARTS experiment. Out of safety concerns, similar tests have been shelved for the time being.

---

Memo on Gizumon Integration
Clearance Level Eta {All DARTS Personnel}

The Gizumon will be integrated into the general commons of DABO. With luck, they will later expand to take up positions throughout Japan.

The Gizumon are unequvically DARTS' greatest acheivement.

We have a weapon.

The Inverse Project
Clearance Level Eta {All DARTS Personnel}

Members of the Inverse Project are to be undisturbed by DARTS personelle.

Regardless of age, all members of the Inverse Project are to be treated as Delta-Class members unless specified differently by a superior officer.

---

The Inverse Project - Cont.
Clearance Level Eta {All DARTS Personnel}

Enhanced Gizumon Lifeforms (EGLs) resemble DABOs superficially. Do not be alarmed if they are found within the building.

EGLs should always be supervised by a Commanding Officer of member of the Inverse Project. Report any and all unsupervised EGLs immediately.

Avoid interaction with EGLs at all times.

Gizumon
Clearance Level Delta {Specialized DARTS Personnel}

Gizumon are created from reconstructed Digital-Atomite Based Organism tissue- an energy type dubbed as 'Data'.

When a DABO receives a certain amount of structural damage, its internal systems seem to weaken and rupture, transforming it into a concentrated mass of data. Data immediately reverses the Emergence Phenomina, retreating back into the Digital-Atomite Dimension.

Data attained from interrupting this process led to creation of the first Gizumon- a nonsapient DABO servant entirely loyal to the whims of its commanders. Gizumon are instrumental in locating and combatting DABO enemies.

In addition, Gizumon have the ability to revoke the pathfinding ability of enemy data, allowing them to gather the entirety of enemy data. This can be used for further experimentation, as well as construction of more Gizumon.

---

The Enemy
Clearance Level Delta {Specialized DABO Personnel}

DABO have an element of co-ordination. While many Emergents are seemingly mindless animals, there are several documented cases of seemingly sapient beings emerging and preforming what seem to be military tacticts.

Intelligent DABO are far more dangerous than wild ones. Avoid direct confrontation when possible.

---

The Enemy II
Clearance Level Delta {Specialized DABO Personnel}

DABO are divided into three stages of energy concentration. Current DARTS sensors are capable of claffifying newly Emerged Lifeforms based off of this scale.

Baby: Insufficently developed lifeform. No threat. Capture if possible for research purposes.

Child: Lifeform with a Low Concentration of data. Dangerous; can usually be dispatched with up to three Gizumon. If possible, restrain and capture for research purposes.

Adult: Developed Lifeform with a High Concentration of data. Very Dangeorus. Can cause large-scale destruction and public panic. High priority Emergence; all availible Gizumon forces must be directed. Destroy immediately unless otherwise instructed by a superior officer.

---

The Enemy III
Clearance Level Delta {Specialized DABO Personnel}

DABOs appear to have a basic sort of hiearchy based off of Data Concentration levels. Particularly large or powerful Adult DABO may bring weaker Child or Baby-level servants when they Emerge. In these cases, the enemy are often co-ordinated.

---

Domesticated Digimon
Clearance Level Delta {Specialized DABO Personnel}

EGLs are DABOs reconstituted using methods usually reserved for the creation of Gizumon. They are restrained by various systems, most notably the Leash; a console, similar to that of a Gizumon.

The Leash provides the following functionalities to their conscribed Tamers:

1) Reconstruction and Relocation of Core Data: A Domensticated Digimon can be broken apart to its core data at any time, and stored within the Leash itself. In this form, it is dorment and can be called upon at any time.

2) Punishment: The Leash can cause its tied Domesticated Digimon to feel pain, restrict its movement, or feel comforting pleasure by the manipulation of small portions of data. These can be used as needed for taming purposes.

3) Enhancement: The Leash accepts incoming data and manifests it to the tied Digimon, allowing their power to become modual. The Leash can absorb latent information in order to improve the Data Concentration of the tied Digimon; this is often tied to the Tamer's mental state.

4) Destruction: The Leash can cause the tied Digimon to Self-Destruct and disperse its collected data permanently. The data remains collected in the Leash until released.

Leashes will only repond to their corrisponding Tamer, as will Domesticated Digimon. Activating EGLs without their assigned Tamer in the immediate vicinity is against protocol.
Lab A-02 Aogashima ; Project Gizmo
Clearance Level Beta {Research}

Test: Create synthetic DABO lifeform using harvested DABO data

Test Subject 00- Lack of consciousness. Remained in corporeal form for short seconds. Failure.

Test Subject 01- Response positive to the use of advanced compiling methods. Result is a largely immobile block. However, brainwaves have been traced.

Test Subject 02- Success in the creation of a fully functional DABO. Subject is a formless pink mass that attempted to expand outwards. Highly aggressive. Destroyed when determined to be impossible to contain.

***

Test Subject 07- Shaping manuevers perfected. Subject is a complex shape not dissimilar to Emergant DABO. However, only Baby-Level concentration possible.
Subject retains aggressive tendencies when provoked.

***

Test Subject 16- Adjustments using the apopose 'Lobotomy' proceedure favorable. Subject appears far more stable, greater Data Concentration possible; Child Level attained. Subject, however, failed to retain greater mental functions.

***

Test Subject 38- Experimental Control Moduel added. Subject did not respond favorably; however, it appeared to retain a semblence of sapience. Reports indicate it may have attempted to speak before killing itself.

***

Test Subject 79- Console Perfected. Dubbed 'Gizumon'- unstable core concealed within Data-enhanced plates of steel in order to maximize stability. Subject retains a certain degree of automy while being entirely controllable. May be ready for field tests.

***

Test Subject 561- Experimental Child-Level DABO with full functining Sapience achieved using larger-than-expected resources of Data. Result is highly violent, significantly stronger than any recorded Child-level DABO or Gizumon. Considered a waste of resources in comparison to the more controllable Gizumon.

Ending project.

Lab I-32 Shinjuku ; Project Conduit
Clearance Level Beta {Research}

Test: Generate Two-Way Conduit through the Fold.

Test Procedure 732- Success in creating Conduit. Tunnel bridging through fold existed for an approximate eighteen seconds, eighteen inches in diameter. Test proceeded as expected until unexpected feedback of large amounts of data overloaded systems.
Though few machines able to comfirm, the Conduit appeared to have been hijacked and used as an Emergence Point by powerful DABO. Enemy destroyed Gizumon Squadrens 1-7, 1-6, 1-5, 2-8, 2-3 and all members of Unit 4 before being subdued.
Readings appear promising.

Test Procedure 733- Surviving scientists of Conduit Collapse examined. Traces of data found within bone marrow, as well as in developing cell growths.
Interestingly, large amounts of premature data found in certain nodes of the brain. May imply humans can generate data if first exposed to it in great ammounts.

---

Lab A-07 Aogashima ; Study Notes 721-A
Clearance Level Beta {Research}

Examination of data transfer implies greater DABO consciousness beyond the Fold.

DABO appear to have a predisposed tie to an element of their world, which allows their data to return to source after destruction. This tie seems similar to ruler-servant ties between Adult and Child DABO, and may imply a greater ruler or a "God" entity.

DABO appear incapable of resisting orders originating from that tie. Possibilities include hijacking this line to have a more efficient method of DABO control than lobotomous proceedures that are preformed to create Gizumon.

---

Lab A-02 Aogashima ; Project Inverse
Clearance Level Beta {Research}

Test: Create a DABO tied to a Human Mind

Test Subject 0- No reaction. Complete failure to synchronize DABO and human mind.

***

Test Subject 84- Minor reaction. DABO appeared to react to test subject's frustration.

***

Test Subject 96- Test Subject managed to calm DABO temporarily, exhibiting minor control over subject. Concentration failed over a long period of time, however, resulting in Test Subject Death.

***

Test Subject 156- Test Subject is of age group 7-15. Far greater effect on DABO, subjegating for a total of four hours before retaliation. Test Subject suffered total body failure due to internal brain hemorage after DABO was destroyed.

Test Subject 157- Child Test Subject rendered comatose and later, braindead after disposal of bonded DABO.

***

Test Subject 161- Successful bond. DABO and Test Subject suffered no apparent ill effects. However, Test Subject acted strangely afterwards and later attempted to liberate partner- evidence seems to point to subconscious manipulation of human by the DABO.
Test Subject later seemed to regain control of his own mind- eliminating that of the DABO in the process. DABO lost significant data stability in the process, but seems to be entirely under Test Subject's control.
Test Subject labelled Tamer-0.

***

Test Subject 166- Successful bond with modified DABO including suppressent Gizumon elements. Console dubbed 'Leash'- all functions appear to work as intended. Minor adjustments may be necessary.

***

Test note: Successful bonds following 166 have shown little variance in outward affect of Bond. further observation may be necessary.
Bonded DABOs seem to take particular relish in destroying enemy DABO and assimilating their Data. I have encouraged this behavior in order to observe the effects.
The Campaign
Clearance Level Alpha {Commander Correspondance}

Dear General,

How are you? I am feeling under the weather, unfortunately. A result of far too many sleepless nights and harried days, I fear.

I do not expect to get many more restful nights from now on. I don't believe any of them realize -even the truly brilliant minds I command- what is truly going on here. I've known it deep in my soul from day one, and every report I read does nothing but confirm it; there's something greater out there. And it hasn't even begun to notice us.

These "Emergences"... I feel they are nothing more than pesky nuisance. The Shinjuku Emergence was our most dangeorus yet- a firey beast quickly dubbed Mailbirdramon for reasons quite beyond me. It dwarfed many of the buildings and fired missiles that exploded on contact with the ground; they say it was rather overinflated for its relative Data Concentration, but who can believe that? They barely have any comparison, really, to tell if it were normal or not.

There's a storm approaching.

The kids are getting on fine. Leashing the Digimon- it's a deal with the devil, but necessary I believe. I feel no guilt in ordering them on the battlefield; too many have died for that anymore.

Some of them have cracked under pressure and killed themselves or their partners- it's basically the same thing. Neither side of the combination survives the death of the other, which is how in-tune they need to be to subjagate a being's will like they do.

And yet, with all of this, we still only have Child Levels to our name. This must be rectified, if we are to ever fight against this illusive menace.

Your regards,

Kudo Bisham,
Supreme Commander of DARTS
Savior of the World

DARTS exists within a sprawling multiplex hidden in the bedrock of the island Aogashima, off the coast of Japan.
This area is known simply as "DARTS", or if it's necessary to differentiate it from the organization, "The Bunker". It is a severely high-tech fortress that functions as a miniature city. No member of DARTS is allowed to return to the mainland except under specific circumstances- much of their information is incredibly sensitive.

the DARTS bunker holds a total population a little under 3000-strong. At least half of their Personnel are of Japanese Origin, however there are a significant number of foreigners among them. Most members of DARTS either work in upkeep of the city and servers, or debugging the various programs used to detect Emergence Points or preform complex probability experiments.

ETA Complex is the main plaza of the Bunker. Most apartments are found within ETA complex, as are services such as cafes, recreation centers and shopping areas. Most members of DARTS spend their time in ETA complex while not on duty. ETA complex is equipped with a multitude of overhead screens and alarms that are activated during an Emergence (and Emergence Staff are required), or during any other sort of emergency.

DELTA Complex is a large ring found above ETA complex. DELTA Complex houses the main servers of DARTS, as well as fifty computer chambers from which their massive systems are manned. From within DELTA Chamber, various Debuggers work on programs that can detect and possibly route weak Emergences, as well as guide where they will exit. Operators also control and direct the Gizumon from these chambers, especially during combat.
DELTA complex also houses the offices of most important members of DARTS, as well as the training grounds and Gizumon Factory.

BETA Complex is located beneath ETA Complex, but has several direct lines to DELTA Complex. BETA Complex is made completely out of test chambers and various offices; the Data Storage Tank is found there, where destroyed Digimon data is stored for testing purposes or to create more Gizumon. BETA Complex has a fearsome reputation among lower-level DARTS members as being a dark place, filled with dark people- though the scientists often spend their freetime in DELTA Complex as much as any of the others.

ALPHA Complex is located at the apex of the underground base. It contains the Supreme Commander's quarters, as well as a variety of com-tools. It is strictly off-limits to all except by invite, though other high-level officers may have an adjacent office.

Topside Tokyo, only a short plane or helicopter trip away, is jokingly referred to as OMEGA Complex.

Humans that control DABOs are called Tamers.

A EGL, or Domesticated Digimon, is a DABO that was made by recombining dead data into a new shape and attaching certain mechanical restraining mechanisms directly into their datacore. EGLs are all bound to a 'Leash'- which is a mechanical device held by a Tamer that provides a variety of functions.

Tamers can use their Leashes as Personal Computers -though, for security purposes, they aren't uplinked to the internet- and receive messages from DARTS on them. Their main function, however, is their interactions with their EGL. A Leash can be used to cause its tied Digimon to feel extreme pain, or mild pleasure, as a punishment/reward system mandated by the Tamer's discretion. Data collected from dead DABOs is accumulated through the Lash, and it can also stop a EGL in its tracks by controlling the technology implanted in them, and if necessary, destroy the linked Digimon permanently and recycle its data.

Destroying a partner however, is not encouraged among Tamers. The connection between them and their partner is sunken deep within their neurons- humans who lose their partners rarely survive, and never survive unscathed mentally. Those particularly sensitive in their partner even feel similar pain at the same time, and may be able to sense the other's emotions.

EGLs are capable of speech. Unlike the Gizumon, they are not mindless and often have personalities of their own. While
Servile EGLs are considered ideal, they are also quite rare. Particularly rowdy partners are often equipped with more implants and/or restraining armor in order to more effectively stop them when necessary.

Tamers are ordered only by Beta-class or higher Commanders, and often the Supreme Commander himself. They are not encouraged to socialize with the rest of DARTS, but are given living quarters next to one-another and told to get to know eachother.

All player characters are members of the INVERSE Project- Children who were bonded with EGLs and provided with Leashes as a secret weapon against the Digimon menace. These Children are very rarely regular individuals, as the test has a fair chance of killing the subject. Orphans from Tokyo are often used, as are the children of DARTS employees for a variety of reasons. EGLs respond positively to emotional disturbance in a variety of forms, so children from broken homes are generally even more ideal.
All members of the Inverse Project are awarded technical Delta-level status.

Name: Yukio Hayashi
Age: 16
Physical Description: Blond-haired child with sharp eyes and a pointed face that seems permanently tugged into a neutral position. His facial features are rather soft and smooth, rather than hard and rigid, giving him the look of serene peace and vacancy combined with his blank blue eyes. His hair is cut short, though it still hangs down in the back, kept tidy and well-coiffed at all times and professional-looking.
Fairly tall for his age, between 5'11 and 6', with thin limbs that fail to show any real sign of musculature. He often gives off a very academic or political air, as if he's not interesting in anything the world has to offer, further enhanced by the waifishness shape of his form.
He stands up almost unnaturally straight, and does everything with perfect poise and balance. He is quite dexterous and able to react very quickly, even if his muscles aren't well defined.
Clothing: Yukio is almost always in his uniform, which is a custom print that includes a golden stripe on his left sleeve (indicating rank), as well as a stylized Greek letter 'Beta' in dark printing across his back. Various blue lines are included on the front of his uniform as well, which taper off as they reach his chest and move downward in a parabolic arc.
On the rare occasions he is in civilian garb, he rather awkwardly dons a plain pair of black dress pants with an immaculately white plain oxford sleeved shirt.
Abridged Bio: Son of one of the main workers of the Inverse Project, his father died after volunteering as an early test subject. After it was discovered that only children could make meaningful connection with Digimon, Yukio volunteered to be a test subject. Despite initial difficulties, Yukio became the first human to subjugate a DABO- making him Tamer-0 in official documents.
Yukio's connection was made with far less precision than the current bonds are. His partner was connected to him, its individuality destroyed, before the first Leashes were created; as such, he always had far greater power over his partner than others, but gave up a great deal of its digital stability in exchange. While a Console Unit was eventually devised for him, it is a different model than the rest- while other Consoles were made at the same time as the Digimon, his partner was leashed only far later.
Since his partner lacks normal data stability, Yukio stays out of most of the direct fighting and takes up the roll of team leader, advisor and overseer to the rest of the Inverse Project Tamers. He is of BETA-level access, and receives missions directly from the Supreme Commander himself, before giving them to those beneath him.
Aside from that however, very little can be said about Yukio. He is a very closed-off individual, and dislikes talking about history with anyone.
Leash Description: Yukio's Leash is unique. It takes the form of a small watch, and doesn't appear to have any of the same functions as other Leashes- and it doesn't. While it can absorb data, his watch does not compel his partner in the same way as other Leashes do. His partner spends most of its time within the watch, to conserve its energy; due to the strange bond they share, simply being outside of the Leash causes them both to slowly deteriorate both mentally and physically (by rapidly burning minerals in Yukio's body or data being removed from his partner), ultimately to death.
Yukio's Leash is the only Leash that can hijack the Gizumon components of other Tamed Digimon, allowing him to stop them in their tracks if necessary, or cause them pain. However, unlike that Tamed Digimon's own leash, those Digimon are able to fight it off with enough effort- the Leash affects only the mechanical parts of them, not their core data.
---EGL Partner Species: Arkadimon
---EGL Partner Description: Arkadimon is the only partner digimon without Gizumon implants- this is because it was developed before such things became standard. Its child form is entirely covered in metallic battle armor, connected to Yukio's unique leash- which allows him to stop it in place, even without implants. In its baby form, this armor is reduced to a circle of metal around its waist.
---EGL Partner Personality: Arkadimon appears to be nonsapient and entirely subservient to Yukio. During its Bonding, its individuality and its mind were utterly destroyed, replaced with a fanatical loyalty to its Tamer. It does not speak, and responds only to direct commands from Yukio.

Name: Leiko Sasaki
Age: 15
Physical Description: Thin-faced girl with bright green eyes and longer brown hair. Appears to have a hint of european blood that's evident in her facial shape and skin tone, though the exact area would be impossible to identify. Her eyes are the most immediately grasping part of her body, with the rest of her form being rather unremarkable- she has a thin nose and sallow cheeks, a weak chin and a long neck that basically seems to separate her from the rest of her body.
She stands at a little above 5'0, though she often stands on the tips of her toes to appear taller. Her limbs are long, but look rather strong and fairly sturdy for her age. Her finger joints are quite long, and lead to her fiddling with them at most times when she isn't paying attention. In fact, most of her body seems designed to move, tap, roll or fiddle about while she's bored, giving her an almost OCD quality about her. Her hair falls down to around the middle of her back, and is generally tied back as a ponytail, or in some other way rather than left to frame her face.
Clothing: Leiko typically wears rather bright, eyecatching clothing- usually a black shirt with the design of a strange runic symbol of an eye on the front, with a either a bright green vest (with a matching wing symbol on the back), red coat, or blue blazer over it. She has a habit of wearing a matching tie with most of her clothing, along with a pair of pants of a darker color of whatever ensemble she happens to be wearing at the moment. She usually wears an expensive-looking antique pocketwatch with whatever else she has on.
Abridged Bio: Leiko was an orphan from Tokyo who was injured in the attack on Shinjuku. Though she had been taken care of since she was a small child by the local orphanage, her hospital bills were far too great to be paid; it led them to a standstill where Leiko found herself unable to go anywhere, especially considering she was basically in critical condition.
A single test, however, changed things. Leiko was found to have been rather close to the DABO through the entire incident, especially when it was destroyed. She had been exposed to massive quantities of Data, a phenomena largely unexplored in humans.
DARTS paid her bills and transported her back to their facility when they were able, to examine her. Much like the scientists before her, she had begun to produce her own data in certain parts of her brain, making her an anomaly that none of the Beta-Levels could decide quite on how to properly test. She was eventually put on the backburner as other projects advanced, kept in close watch of scientists but largely ignored.
When the Inverse Project begun to bear fruit, a test was finally designed that may fit the uniqueness of her situation. A different sort of data from the others they had absorbed -what they hesitated to call a DABO virus, or a bacterium of some sort- combined with data in interesting ways, as they had repeatedly studied before. Until then, however, they had avoided combining the 'X' factor into any of the EGLs.
Leiko bonded with a partner infected with the X factor without any apparent difficulty, and though it appeared a full success, scientists were unable to detect any but the slightest differences between her partner and regular EGLs. Disappointed, they continue to watch to see if anything different or interesting will happen given time.
Leash Description: A cylindrical object held down across the arm, with the actual leash being contained in a ring of metal at the top. Around a hand's length in diameter, the ring is controlled through a variety of controls attached to the grip bar found with its center, and displays information on a variety of panels attached to the cylinder on the end. The cylinder can be compressed into the main ring for storage purposes.
---EGL Partner Species: KunemonX
---EGL Partner Description: A regular Kunamon, though its stinger is longer (resembling a shortsword with multiple edges on the side), its markings are more triangular in nature and make odd patterns, and its antenna cross into an X shape. KunemonX is equipped with a triangle beak-muzzle that fits over its face, adding a short plate over the front of its face and continuing down the side until it connects in the middle of its spine. Kunemon X's entire spine is covered in a long metal rod that keeps the mask on its face from being displaced.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: KunemonX -> FlymonX -> OkuwamonX -> GrandisKuwagamon
---EGL Partner Personality: KunemonX is quiet, but hardly servile. It is a female -or at least considers itself such, as DARTS is unable to precisely tell if digimon truly have genders or reproduce in a here-to unknown manner- and is quietly optimistic, though it tries not to make a scene. It gets along with basically any of the EGLs, and rarely backs down from a fight, though it is quite rational.

Name: Kazuma Yarai, but more commonly called Kazu
Age: 15
Physical Description: Being half African, he has a darker complexion that is similar to a bronze or tanned look. He has spiky black hair that he keeps cut to about an inch in length, mostly because he does not look good with long hair. His eyes are strangely amber and tend to be reflective in low light. Long lashes that almost cast shadows protect is eyes and mid-sized eyebrows, the same black as his hair, perch above them. His frame is what you would describe as somewhat lanky. Both his waist and shoulders are narrow, so he does not have that commanding and imposing figure, but his arms are fairly well defined. With his long limbs and large feet, he looks like he should be a bit clumsy, but he carries himself with some amount of grace. Three large scars run diagonally across his lower back, stretching from just above his last rib on the left side and stopping just below the waist line on the right side.
Clothing: Kazuma's manner of dress is moderately plain but have small touches that reflect his personal style. He limits himself to simple t-shirts in conservative colors, such as black, grey and dark blues and greens, and a few pairs of black slacks and jeans. His shirts generally display a variety of smiley faces, which he also pins to several of his belongings. He does own a few dress shirts, but they too are in the same scheme of colors. His clothes are normally crushed because he keeps them in a disorderly state; either tossed casually in a drawer or heaped in the corner or any convenient surface. He has a chain with a tongue-out emoticon on it. He accents his wardrobe with several hoodie's the primary source of variation in his clothing, though several also sport emoticons.
Abridged Bio: Kazuma is the child of the first marriage of his father. His mother was a cold person and didn't spent much time with him. She ran off with another man when he was six, left him in alone with his father. His father remarried a little over a year later, his new wife bringing a teenage daughter into the family. However, Kazuma's father was not someone interested in children, much less a child form a woman who had played him for a fool and treated him as if he was invisible. His step-mother only cared about her own daughter and paid him little mind as well. His new sister held him in contempt. In his family, the treatment resulted in him becoming reclusive. He moved out of the house and into the small flat and has been living somewhat independently since he was twelve.
As such, Kazuma was always alone in his home and never felt the love of a true family and instead found himself turning to friends to get that feeling. The joy he got in those situations saved him from what could have been a fatal downward spiral. In order to spend as much time with other people as possible, he joined the karate club at his school and worked part-time in a small restaurant. He is sensitive and insecure, considering his friends to be an important part of his world, though he sometimes doesn't quite know how to relate to them. At first, the insecurity fuelled his home life caused him to lash out at others, driving them away from him. His lessons in karate helped control those and counselling has allowed him to overcome that tendency.
He has lightened up in the years since and mellowed, but that is more a case of becoming the mask. As a preservation instinct as well as a way to keep others in his life, he adopted an easy-going attitude to let him hide his cruder tendencies. But he has always seen his friends as irreplaceable and fiercely protects them. Similarly, he sees them as a shell to protect his core of loneliness, to hide it away, the reclusive part of his personality has never faded and he still sometimes feels to need to be away form others. Possibly a result of him taking care of himself, he doesn't really care much for his appearance and sticks with simple clothing, but has a fondness for emoticons.
Kazuma has always helped his friends, even if it means getting to serious fights and has been arrested twice. The pinnacle of this trait was when he leapt at a DABO in order to distract it so they could get away. The encounter left him with the scars. He joined DARTS in order to have the power necessary to protect those he cares for. Though he could have had the scars removed, he leaves them as a reminder. He was bounded with Leormon and saw the fierce cat as an embodiment of his desire to protect his friends and takes pretty good care of him, treating him like an overgrown housecat at times, though he won't hesitate to use the leash; whether to warn, reward or punish.
Leash Description: Kazuma's leash is a rectangular device with rounded edges about 4 by 2.3 inches. It is approximately half of an inch thick and is composed of two movable sections or panels mounted on top of each other connected by a hinge in one corner. The top panel is a touch screen that has a wide range of functions. The lower section is accessible when the top is twisted aside at a right angle. A somewhat smaller touchpad is hidden here that can be used for further commands. The top section can also be adjusted to slide aside form the lower screen instead of twisting, giving it the appearance of a sliding phone.. The back of the lower section houses a pair of camera lenses and a small but powerful LED light source. The back of the Leash has emoticon sticker with a toothy grin.
---EGL Partner Species: Leormon
---EGL Partner Description: Leormon's primary distinction from a standard example of his species is the fact that the tuft of hair on his head is not as large, being smaller and more tame in comparison. His eyes are green instead of blue and the his ears are tipped in the red of his hair with small tufts on the ends. Beneath his holy ring collar hides a mechanical implant that sinks into his spine at the base of his skull. Silver-grey metallic ring like cuffs are on each limb and they work to immobilize him if he acts out. The left side of his tail, near the base as a patch of metal on it, and metal can be glimpsed through his fur at times, especially around his shoulder blades when he moves.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Frimon <-> Leormon <-> Raiamon <-> GrapLeomon <-> BanchouLeomon
---EGL Partner Personality: Leormon's personality is closer to Kazuma's from the earlier part of his life. He tends to be somewhat aggressive and protective, if not excessive and overeager. He has a large capacity for affection and general gets along with his teammates and coworkers, but he can be fiercely possessive, proud and overconfident, with a proclivity for picking fights. He does know what lines not to cross and has strong sense of justice, though that sense doesn't always extend to the methods by which justice is achieved.

Name: Kaimasaru "Kai" Azukamara
Age: 15
Physical Description: Decently tall, Kai stands around five feet and nine inches tall. He has long, straight hair, which runs down his head and stops slightly lower than his shoulders. His bangs are exceptionally long, and he is constantly having to brush them out of his way to see clearly. His eyes are a brilliant emerald green, with scattered flecks of gold and blue; the unusual combination of colors causes his eyes to glitter in the light. He also has reasonably long lashes, which cast daunting shadows over his face when the sun is high overhead. He has arching, but slightly slanted eyebrows, which give the look of being simultaneously happy and angry. Kai has a thin and lanky frame, giving the appearance of being fragile. In contrast to his size, he has exceptionally wide shoulders, and fairly large feet. His hands are large, with long and graceful fingers; his palms are simultaneously calloused and tough, and soft and smooth. He is exceptionally pale, accenting his dark hair and vibrant eyes.
Clothing: Kai typically dresses exceptionally well; he wears either dark brown or black slacks, or slack-like pants, and black or brown leather formal/casual shoes, along with a black leather belt with a shining silver belt-buckle (though he certainly doesn't need it). Hanging from the left pocket, and clasped to the belt, is a glittering silver pocket watch, which reads the time with pristine accuracy. He wears long-sleeved button-up shirts (with pockets on both the left and right breast), with either a black or white clean t-shirt underneath; the button-up shirts are either black, lavender, or rich violet. He always wears his cuffs clasped tightly, and the buttons all the way to the top, revealing none of what is underneath. He carries his Leash inside the right-breast pocket, and so there is generally a slight bulge on his chest. Around his neck is a silver chain, and attached at the end is a cross of stainless steel, with a pure diamond embedded in the middle. If the cross is held up to light, an inscription is visible inside the diamond: "Acta Non Verba".
Abridged Bio: Kai never learned who his parents were. His mother died during the birth, and his father committed suicide only a week later, driving into a large metal post at around 200 kph. He had been pronounced dead at the scene, and all attention turned to the now-alone baby. At first, the staff wanted to send it to the nearest orphanage, but others argued that he was too young; he had only been given his name a day before his father killed himself. Eventually, the doctors decided that he would remain at the hospital until he was old enough to be sent to the orphanage. The doctors and nurses all took turns caring for the baby, and making sure he didn't get into any trouble. So, Kai was raised for the next five years of his life around doctors, disease, injury, and all the other nuances that came with a hospital.
On his fifth birthday, a strange woman came to the hospital. She told Kai that she was taking him to his "new home", but he tried to refuse, sitting down and crossing his arms in one of the waiting-room chairs. The woman had none of that, and simply hefted him up with surprisingly strong arms. He was put in an unfamiliar room, in an unfamiliar building. He was told that he would live here until he was adopted by "new parents". Kai was horrified; he wanted to go back home to the cleanliness of the hospital, not this "orphanage" that he had been dumped in. He spent his time in the orphanage sulking and reading whatever books were around, whether he was allowed to read them or not. As such, he was caught many times for getting into things that were not his; this information was relayed to any interested adults, and Kai never got adopted.
He spent the next nine years of his life at that orphanage; when he turned ten, five years after he had been "taken", he stopped crying and sulking about not living with his "family" anymore. He simply remained a quiet child, exploring the world whether he was allowed to or not, and trying to learn as much as he could. One day, when he was fourteen, a strange couple walked into the orphanage. The woman who worked there, the one who had taken him, acted like everything was alright, but in Kai's eyes, something was off about the pair. They seemed too clean, even cleaner than hospital staff, and they spoke in quiet, clipped tones, as if they were sharing a secret. Kai's suspicion rose more when they said that they wanted to adopt him; the woman eagerly accepted, and took what appeared to be a briefcase full of money from the couple. They turned to Kai then, and their face shown with what Kai thought were fake smiles. However, he was filled with an unknown happiness to have a family again.
After he learned the truth about the man and woman who had "adopted" him, he was not sad. The day he was adopted, he had decided he would never show tears again. Instead he faced the truth with adult maturity, and even though he was sure he had no choice in the matter, told them he would do whatever they needed him to. Since then, Kai has been a Tamer for the INVERSE Project. He has shown unusual compassion to his EGL, and would do anything to save it, or anyone else. He has always placed his own needs below others, helping them to the point of exhaustion before even thinking about what he would do now.
Leash Description: Kai's Leash is small and oddly shaped; the bottom is rectangular, but at the top it is circular, save for a small antenna sprouting from the right side. The Leash is approximately four inches by three inches. Small bumps and dips around the edge hide the internal systems, and protect them from damage. The top half of the Leash, the round section, is dominated by a large touch-screen, which is the main form of control. Auxiliary controls lay around the screen, and a secondary screen lies beneath the main screen. The Leash has many applications other than those provided by DARTS, including the following: a flashlight, a sturdy cable deployment system (which is attached to the antenna), a simple gaming system, even a hacking program. The device is colored variously: the edge is a rich blue-golden sparkle, like the flecks in his eyes, but the rest of the device is a deep emerald green, reflecting the majority of Kai's irises.
---EGL Partner Species: Renamon
---EGL Partner Description: Kai's Renamon resembles most others in all but small details; for one, the white at the tips of her ears is slightly larger than most, covering about half the ears, not just the tips. She is slightly smaller than most other Renamon. The imprints of the implants can be seen along her spine, and connect at the base of her skull; they are generally invisible unless she is studied carefully and closely. The white at the tip of her tail is also more prominent than most, reaching about halfway to the base of the tail. There are four tufts of fur on her shoulders, as opposed to the regular three on the average Renamon. The yin-yang-like symbols on the front of her thighs are lighter than average, with darker violet edges, accenting the symbols.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Relemon <-> Viximon <-> Renamon <-> Kyubimon <-> Taomon <-> Sakuyamon
---EGL Partner Personality: Renamon is slightly haughty. Balancing out her Tamer, she is pacing and calculating, and prefers to think before she acts, to determine what would be the best course of action. She usually only speaks to Kai, and most often only when they are alone. When in public, or among other people, she responds either with controlled body language, which Kai has learned to read, or grunts and the like. She may seem to be only self-caring, but whenever any of Kai's friends, or any fellow EGL or other Digimon, are in danger, she stops "thinking" and aims only to protect those around her, no matter what may happen to her. Similar to Kai, she has a short temper, and can fly into a rage at the slightest provocation.
Controlled by Spartan 919

Name: Rika Bisham
Age: 15
Physical Description: Small, pixie-like, and delicate- that is how Rika is generally described, though from her personality you'd expect her to be far from that. Long, black hair falls down to her shoulders, where it has been messily chopped off in a manner that makes you think she cut it herself. A heart-shaped face, high cheekbones, and perfect red lips all complement Rika's beauty, though a lack of makeup and any try to make herself more pretty does dampen this a little bit. Rika has very dark skin that is only marred by a mole on her right cheek and two more on her breastplate; beyond that, Rika has flawless skin, omitting the rashes and such that naturally plague her during winter- damn immune system, right?
Clothing: If Rika's choice in clothing was described in one word, it would be this; "vintage". Rika delights in taking 50's and 60's clothing and "modernizing" them, as she says. One of Rika's most common outfits is an old-fashioned blouse over light blue jeans, paired with a large brown belt and various bracelets, earrings, and the like. But Rika seems to be the type that chooses her clothing based on her emotions that day; one day she might be wearing a brightly-colored T-shirt and pettiskirt one day, and the next, a black "ruffle romper". The only thing that remains constant about Rika's clothing is her shoes; a pair of bright white sneakers are the only things that adorn her feet, since the one area of shopping Rika has no interest in seems to be shoe-shopping.
Abridged Bio: Rika was the black sheep of her family. Born into a relatively normal family living in the suburbs of the Shinjuku Ward, Rika's family was moderately wealthy, with a father who was a relatively high-up police dispatcher, and mother who was owner of a famous jewelry store just outside of Shinjuku Station. Growing up in a good environment in the upscale Yotsuya neighborhood, one might expect Rika to be a happy, docile child; her two older brothers turned out this way, but Rika was to be different.
Independent, headstrong, and a little rebellious, Rika quickly started to "not fit in" with her parent's strict, almost military-like lifestyle. Her mother, a woman named Kasumi, however, being a feminist and generally loving of her children, did not care about this and loved her child anyway; on the other hand, her father, a man named Kudo, quickly began to regard the child as a nuisance. Still, Rika would stay generally happy and peaceable for the first eight years of her life.
Then, disaster struck. The threat of Digimon, up until this point generally regarded as low-priority, took on a new level. When a digital entity suddenly appeared on the outskirts of the Chiyoda Ward, to the near east of Shinjuku, it created a path of destruction that went from Chiyoda into Shijuku, destroying nearly a thousand buildings, many of which were centered around Shinjuku Station. Many lives were lost in the process. Rika's mother and two brothers were some of them.
DARTS would be created later that year, and Rika's father, who after this personal tragedy had been campaigning loudly for such a force, and who had many supporters, who be named Commander General of DARTS. For the first time in her life, Rika would be thrust into the public spotlight; all eyes were on DARTS to see if it was up to the Digimon challenge.
And despite initial setbacks that included the destruction of the DARTS administrative building, it did. Quickly gaining support and more members, DARTS seemed to be on the up-and-up, not just in taking down Digimon but also in fame level. However, in direct contrast to this, Rika seemed to become more and more rebellious. Disgusted by what her father started doing in DARTS, from killing Digimon to forcefully controlling them, Rika started waging a covert war against her father, protesting his every move, from the move to Agoashima to the Gizumon. Becoming increasingly fed up with his daughter, Kudo tried everything to discipline her; but Rika was both stubborn and strong-willed, and by and large these attempts failed. Finally, with a seething loathing for his child, when Kudo heard from the scientists about the initial successes of the Inverse Project, he was quick to sign up Rika for the Project. And, Rika, kicking and screaming, was forced to go.
Leash Description: Rika's leash resembles a glove more than anything else; it is silvery and is form fitting in shape, covering her wrist and part of the palm, while a second wire-like mesh material extends up the backs of her right hand, so that it forms a type of fingerless glove, albeit metal and relatively unmovable. A large touch screen is the main feature of Rika's leash, just like Kai's, but the difference here is Rika's touch screen is on her palm and is covered by a protective screen when not being used. The majority of the leash's systems can be found contained within the mesh-like part, and if you look closely you can note strange bulges within the mesh; these are areas where parts of the systems are contained, in miniscule dots and coding. Rika's leash is of the latest design (despite his dislike towards the child, Kudo still made sure she was well-equipped), and comes decked out with all the latest features- beyond the controlling mechanism, Rika's leash also has a host of secondary features, such as a X-Ray scan device, a flashlight, GPS system, and a Internet search device, though Rika needs to be linked to the Internet for the last one to work.
---EGL Partner Species: Coronamon
---EGL Partner Description: Coronamon resembles all Coronamon (men?) to an extent; it possesses all the correct features and colors as attributed to his species. However, Coronamon does have features that set him apart; for one thing, Coronamon possesses a large, slash-shape birthmark on his left foot, which goes diagonally from big toe to his heel in the form of a white streak. Several, less noticeable differences include longer "hair" (The red, flame-shaped mane that covers Coronamon's head), along with much longer whiskers extending from either side of his head. As for the mechanical implants, Coronamons' take the form of a long, mechanical strip that goes from his neck to his pelvis, connecting to a similiar "belt" that covers Coronamon's waist; additional implants include a waistband on each arm and one around his right ankle.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Sunmon <-> Coronamon <-> Firamon <-> Flamemon <-> Apollomon
---EGL Partner Personality: Brash, forthright, and independent; it becomes clear by a glance that Coronamon has taken after his master. However, while his master reins in her rather...wild qualities, Coronamon gives them full control; outrageous and a notorious prankster with a pride to match, Coronamon often leaves acquaintances steamed at him or amused by him. With a personality like this, it is clear Coronamon would be disciplined many times by any other master; however, Rika barely -if ever- does so. As such, many observers are often left wondering why Rika barely tames her Digimon. However, don't let this personality fool you; Coronamon is a keen strategist, and will often adopt different manners as needed to suit his purpose, which is usually along the line of fooling an enemy and then hitting them hard, a strategy which has made Coronamon a good ally in battle.

Name: Emiko Tsubara
Age: 15
Physical Description: Emiko is a rather small girl, weighing 122 pounds, with a soft appearance. Reaching only the height of 5 feet, she is very often looking up at people through dull green eyes; almost resembling emeralds which have lost their luster over time. Her dark hair had been cut short, framing her heart shaped face quite cutely, giving her almost a doll-like appearance. Her hair is always pulled back with various colored headbands. Figure wise there isn’t much, but it is decent for her age. However, all Emiko is concerned about is growing height wise. Though she is slim, with few muscles she is quite swift and very flexible when the need arises. On her left side there is a large pinkish scar that runs horizontally from her hip, and ending about an inch below her chest.
Clothing: Emiko’s fashion sense is elementary, and very basic in terms of clothing. She is normally seen in jeans, or skirts with black or dark blue tights underneath. It’s not that she doesn’t like dresses, but she doesn’t find them practical for the line of work she does. Her top consists of either short sleeved or long sleeved button up dress shirts. Around her neck is a dark red ribbon that looks old, worn and faded. It’s tied around her neck with the bow on the right side, and it is a constant accessory as well as her most prized possession. Besides the ribbon, she has taken a liking to wearing headbands, and every day she is wearing a different color.
Abridged Bio: When Emiko was younger she lived with her parents, and a baby sister in an average sized house, and an average life. There wasn’t anything remotely special about her, other than her uncanny ability to solve problems, and do puzzles that someone her age shouldn’t have been able to do. Her parents were surprised by Emiko’s talent, as she was only 5 at the time. Another thing she seemed to have an interest in was music; usually anything she could get her hands on at the time.
Anyone who would describe her at the time would call her a happy child, always smiling and very friendly. Though it was after one eventful day sis that change. Her, and the family was in their car on their way to the park; Emiko’s parents promised to take her if she kept her room clean. On their way, one of the cars had ran a stop light and had crashed right into the car. Luckily Emiko wasn’t on the side hit, but her little brother and mother wasn’t so lucky; they were killed instantly. The other car was going so fast that when it hit their car, her father’s head jerked to the side and shattered the window. He lived for another three hours before dying from blood leakage in the brain.
Emiko also suffered from brain damage but she lived, though it was with some sacrifices. The part of her brain that controls emotion was damaged, and dramatically altered her emotions to the complete opposite of what she used to be. She tries to act normal but her emotions are a bit strange to say the least. Emiko is also prone to having terrible headaches that often leave her unable to function until it has passed.
After being released from the hospital she was sent to the local orphanage, opting to be alone the entire time she was there. Emiko didn’t make friends and tried not to be noticed. Sometimes she would stay in her room plagued with terrible headaches for days. It wasn’t until she was 10 did some organization come to the orphanage and took some of the kids. The organization had came before when she was younger, but never took her because of her age, but this time they did and unlike some of the other kids she didn’t fight figuring that either way her life would be the same. Emiko didn’t know how wrong she was.
Leash Description: Emiko’s leash is in simple design, being a smooth, round ring that is dark red, and fits snugly on her wrist. Emiko wanted the leash to resemble the bow she wears, which is where the color red comes from. Carved into and going around the leash are patterns of intricate design; the circular patterns weaving in and out of each other in what appears like an interchanging dance. There is a small compartment on the top that can open and a small rod comes out before opening into a small screen. The light from the screen then shows a hologram, of a person she is talking too, a map, or whatever else she may need. It is both touch and voice activated. Design wise it may not be as original as the others, but Emiko loves it all the same.
---EGL Partner Species: Tsunamon
---EGL Partner Description: Tsunamon is a wolf/animal digimon species, and like all wolves, travel on four paws. His fur is a grayish-black color, with blue patterns going down each leg, and down his spine all the way to the base of his tail. On the center of his head is, one single off yellow horn, that is about an inch long. The tail is actually three strand like parts, and are very sensitive to touch, and changes in air currents. He is only about 5 or 6 inches above the ground, about the regular size of an average household dog.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Paomon > Tsunamon > Miromon > Takiromon > Kymonomon
---EGL Partner Personality: When someone is describing Tsunamon; loyal, talkative, and energetic are the words most commonly strung together. Like his partner Tsunamon is very loyal, does what he is told, and follows the rules. Sadly that’s usually only when he is on a mission, which is very unlike his partner. Much to Emiko’s annoyance, he is very energetic and enthusiastic, somehow always having energy to do whatever it is that he wants to do; which, for the majority, means that Emiko won’t get a break from whatever crazy idea he has that day. Tsunamon is always trying to get his partner to open up more, and be more social; often persuading her into doing things she wouldn’t normally do. When he wants to be he is very cunning, and despite his normal everyday behavior he is very smart; something both he and his partner share. Because his qualities are so different from Emiko’s it’s believed that he has the personality she had before the accident, either that or the persona she wished she still had.
Controlled by Hotaru 987

Name: Hiro Karasuma
Age: 16
Physical Description: His height is 6”1 high with a weight of 79 kg. Due to so much time being spent in the lab and therefore underground, his skin is fairly pale and he doesn’t take sunlight too well. His dark blue eyes have a sense of justice about them. Usually this isn’t seen thanks to the glasses he wears all the time. Due to a lazy eye his left lens is quite thick and he doesn’t see to well out of it, preferring the use of his right eye. His build is somewhat thick, but not overweight or muscled. Due to his life lead by his father in science, he doesn’t have many scars or deformities, though he has occasionally lost his eyebrows every so often. They always seem thicker every time they grow back.
Clothing: He has taken to wearing a lab coat around the science facilities and even in ETA Complex. He keeps a small bottle of glasses cleaner and a cloth in the one the inner pockets of his lab coat. Underneath his lab coat he wears a plain grey t-shirt and long black pants. He also has a silver chain he wears all the time. His shoes are black leather shoes, they are stained and some patches of leather are missing.
Abridged Bio: Hiro was given Beta clearance into DARTS to assist his father in their work. His father, Akira Karasuma worked on Project Gizmo, including some minor side projects. He was part of his father's own work with the Gizumon, including possible Gizumon-Tamer relationships. However, the braid dead nature of the Gizumon prevented active relationships as it could not possibly reciprocate. It was then considered to create a Gizumon AI; however, due to this being a side project funding was limited. The AI that had been produced followed basic commands well through logic, but it still did not have any personality or emotions. Hiro left the lab for the ETA Complex. When he returned, the lab was locked. Panicking, he sought out some security personnel to open the door. It took three hours to do so, when they finally busted open the door, Professor Akira Karasuma was dead. All that was left was the Gizumon they had been working on. Hiro held his father's hand, to oddly find a light pulse which died. The Gizumon however seemed to understand what was occurring and consoled the boy. A relationship had been formed.
Leash Description: The leash is a navy blue & gold power glove-like device that allows for the remote control of the partner. There is no physical link due to the usually subdued nature and safety the Gizumon provide. There is rarely data connections made as Gizumon’s main purpose is to disrupt the data flow, allowing the other DABOs to absorb the data. However, a link can be forged should Gizumon go berserk or it begins to make threats.
---EGL Partner Species: Gizumon
---EGL Partner Description: This Gizumon model was given different colouring in order to differentiate it from the other Gizumon. It was painted navy blue and given a yellow eye. As it evolves, the green plating it normally would have becomes yellow as well. The plating on Gizumon is much thicker to provide greater durability to it.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Gizumon -> Gizumon-AT -> Gizumon-XT -> Gizumon-Ω
---EGL Partner Personality: Unusual for a Gizumon to act with emotion, it does not talk to anyone but Hiro and the other EGLs. It suffers from mood swings, sometimes being relatively saccharine to down-right bitter. It is over-protective of his partner, attacking nearly anything considered a threat; and he seems to actually enjoy threatening the other EGLs with deletion. From time to time it enjoys telling a dirty joke or two, much to his partner's annoyance.

Intro Post: Kazuma lay curled in his bed, sheets wrapped in a cocoon around him. By all appearances he was asleep, a calm and serene look on his face. In fact, he was wide awake and debating against leaving the bed. He didn't have anything to do until later in the day, and no one was expecting for at least another two hours. He could stay right where he was, comfortable and warm, get another half hour or so of sleep. Yep, that was a good plan.
He was just drifting off when bed creaked as additional weight pulled itself upon it. He ignored it and settled back into his dreams. A claw prodded his back softly. When he didn't respond, a paw rocked him none too gently. With a gusty sigh, he rolled over and looked the large young-lion like creature in the eyes. "What is it Leor?"
"It's getting late," he said. "You are going to miss breakfast again and then be grouchy all day."
"I can miss one meal without getting irritated," Kazuma said, rolling back into his sheets. "I'll set the alarm."
"If you go back to sleep now, you'll be down until mid-afternoon," Leor countered. Kazuma ground his teeth slowly. Leor was right. "Besides, I'm hungry too." He took hold of Kazuma's collar with his teeth and tugged him towards the end of the bed as if her were a dead weight.
Kazuma gave in and rolled to a sitting position, throwing Leor off the bed in the process. Served him right. He ran a hand through his short hair, which thankfully didn't need much attention before abandoning his bed. A circuit of the room gained him a pair of black slacks, a brown shirt with a cat-smile emoticon over the left breast, only moderately crushed, and his chain which he promptly hung from his pocket. He grabbed a black unadorned hoodie and he passed through the door, Leormon on his heels.
"Leor, either you behave or we'll play puppet cat again, got that?" Kazuma demanded. Leormon, knowing Kazuma was a bit miffed about being woken up when he didn't want to, nodded meekly. "Good." With that, he fixed his coat and headed to see if his favourite cafe was still serving breakfast.

A couple of questions:
1. Can we use Champion-level Digimon as our Digimon's base form under certain conditions, like Gatomon or Rabbitmon?
2. Can we create our own fan-made Digimon?
1. Yes, however ONLY IF you treat them for all intents and purposes as Child-level. Basically, if they look the part, I might be willing to allow you downgrade/upgrade them as necessary.

2. For Child-levels, only if they're very slight variations on existing digimon. For Adults and up, you can make them up wholesale, though be sure to add a short description, or just PM me, about what they are. I'll veto it if it's stupid.

GreyCat, accepted. Great application.

Reserved. Blazinghydra, do you think I could shake things up by making my character Kudo Bisham's daughter or something? Could be used to show that Kudo is emotionless- he doesn't if even his own daughter is sent in. This sorta seemed like what type of person Kudo seems to be- he might not be, but the line "I feel no guilt in ordering them on the battlefield," seems to imply this.

Eh, sure, as long as you don't intend to play Shinji Ikari I'm cool with that.

Dragon Duelist and Luxray reserved. Let's see some actual applications now, people.

Kai had gotten into the habit of sleeping with "Rena" at nights; and that was a habit too, giving her a nickname by removing the "-mon" from her name. At nights anymore, he forgoes sleeping in his bed, and sleeps instead on the floor, curled up with and warmed by the Renamon's fur. That night, while sleeping, he suddenly felt a strange cold. Or it felt strange, since he was hardly ever cold at night. He woke up and stood, and noticed that Rena was not sleeping, but staring at the wall. He inched slowly over to her, knowing that she was quite dangerous, and much more powerful than himself. "Rena? Is everything alright?" She turned at his voice, and he saw her face. Her expression was as solid as ever, but the fur around her eyes was wet. She had been crying. He immediately rushed up to her, and grasped her in a tight hug. "Rena! What's wrong?" Still she did not respond, but clutched him tightly in a vice-like hug. After a half-hour of remaining locked together, Rena pushed him away.

"Sometimes..." she started. But before she finished, she stopped. Kai knew she would talk in her own time, and patted her arm band, which covered both her arms up to her elbows. After another moment, she reached out and gripped his hand with her clawed fingers. "I just wish I had a family." Kai's eyebrows shot up; she was not usually like this.

"What...where's this coming from?" Kai asked her. She did not respond right away. Deciding to continue, he pressed against her. "Don't be a fool, Rena." He felt her tense in shock. "I'm your family. We'll always have each other, I promise. No matter what happens, we'll always have each other." She nodded, satisfied, and the two laid back down, and fell once again into a blissful sleep.

I'll try not to go Shinji Ikari with her, though I've seen Evangelion so I wouldn't know what he acts like. XP Anyways, here is my app.

A digital Sun began it's synthesized path across a screen over ETA Complex, noting the beginning of the day, and not for the first time, Rika Bisham loathed the dank, dark Bunker that was both her prison and her home.

Not many where up at this hour, but if any had, they would have noticed a small, slender girl sitting on a bench outside one of the main cafes of the plaza. She was accompanied by a short and stocky, red, devil-like creature, a fact that was more the startling for the fact they were sitting side-by-side, swinging their legs back and forth like two schoolchildren.

Closer examination would reveal the small and pixie-like female to be Rika Bisham, a girl famous within the DARTS community for being the Commander General's daughter and her rather "strained" relationship therein. The person sitting next to her- or should I say creature- was a small, Child-level Digimon named Coronamon, and he was Rika's Partner. Small, flaming jewels, inset with gold adorned both his forehead and arms, while a grey metal belt of a rather more ugly variety covered his waist. A long, slender tail, the end of which was on fire, swirled carefreely around the pair's heads.

"So, when do you think the cafe will open?" Coronamon said. "I'm getting hungry, and I could really use a Double Chocolate Mocha Coffee right about now-"

"How stupid are you?" Rika cut him off, and while she tried to look serious, the edges of her lips couldn't help but twitch as Coronamon's face became outraged in response. "I've told you twenty times- the cafe doesn't open for two hours."

"Well then, why are we out so early?" Coronamon pouted. "There's nothing to do-" Suddenly, Coronamon's expression perked up. "Oh, wait- there is- there's this personnel officer, okay, and he dropped his security card, and now I have the greatest idea for a prank..."

"Coronamon!" Rika said. "You stole someone's security card?!"

"I didn't steal it, per se, I just happened to pick it up!"

"Ugh, Coronamon, we are going to be in so much trouble for this..." In actuality, Rika could care less whether or not they got in trouble- that happened every week. No, Rika didn't want to go pranking for a different matter- at this time, when everything was so quiet and serene, was the one time she could reminisce about her mother and old family properly...

"You know what, Coronamon?" Rika said abruptly, "Let's go pranking. Where is this guy's room?"

"Oh, yay!" Coronamon cheered. "I'll take us there, but first- let's go get some cream pies." And then, with a bolt, Coronamon was off, racing down the street as fast as his stout little legs would take him. Rika, her mouth now forming a full smile, got up to follow- because she knew, if she thought about her mom for too long, her heart would start to ache- and the thrill of a prank was a much better feeling...
I'm sorry if this isn't as detailed as the other apps. I will expand if needed.

Name: Katoko Kaihei
Age: 14
Physical Description: Katoko is a rather pretty girl who appears to be in middle school. She has a slight figure that is slowly maturing, but is still pretty cute. She has long chocolate-colored hair that flows down to her knees, but she keeps it organized with a huge red bow in her hair. Her eyes are hazel and filled with warmth. Her face is heart-shaped, and her bangs reach down to her eyebrows. She is about 5 feet tall and 102 pounds.
Clothing: Katoko usually either wears the standard female DARTS uniform, a sailor fuku uniform, or her own custom outfit. The uniform consists of a white blouse with a blue and white sailor-style collar and a blue pleated skirt going to her knees. Her shoes are black, and she has a red ribbon on her chest. Her casual outfit is made up of polarized sunglasses, a pink top with a white bunny symbol on it, and blue jeans with white sneakers. She also has a charm bracelet around her right wrist that has all sorts of tiny trinkets on it.
Abridged Bio: Katoko grew up in an orphanage in Shinjuku, not knowing anything about her parents. She drifted from foster home to foster home until a few years ago. She never really responded to any attempts at socialization, instead preferring to watch all kinda of mahou shoujo shows, Sailor Moon being her favorite. She drew pictures of Sailor Moon protecting her from those that ridiculed her, as if the character was the older sister, the "onee-chan", she never had. Eventually, at the age of 10, she was recruited into DARTS and bonded with Rabbitmon, a similarly shy Digimon who seemed unresponsive. With no one else to love, they were perfect for each other, the elder Rabbitmon becoming the human girl's "onee-chan", her elder sister. The Digimon promised to protect her "little sister", even though it was Katoko who cuddled and petted the Digimon. Slowly, Rabbitmon became bolder and more like the guardian sister Katoko had always wanted, while Katoko herself felt more confident. They are still quiet and shy, but they might let someone sit with them. They are mainly used for reconnaissance, with Rabbitmon not being that powerful, but Katoko wants to become as powerful as her peers, and she has been pushing Rabbitmon to train harder, wanting her EGL to attain the legendary "Perfect" level.
Leash Description: Her Leash looks like a grey metal band around her wrist with a screen on it and some buttons. She wears it on her left arm. She mainly uses it for communication and transmitting information.
---EGL Partner Species: Rabbitmon
---EGL Partner Description: Rabbitmon looks like a normal member of her species, except her bandanna is blue with red stripes, and she has a strange metal band attached to her head, the band curving to a point in between her ears.
---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Salamon -> Rabbitmon -> Seramon -> SuperSeramon
---EGL Partner Personality: Rabbitmon is the more mature of the duo, and is calm and rational. She is also a bit shy, but she is more than happy to give advice and nudge her in the right direction. She is currently trying to be friends with Renamon.
Level: Perfect
Attribute: Vaccine
Type: Beast Man Digimon
Family: Nature Spirits/Virus Busters
Appearance: Seramon is humanoid in appearance. She has Rabbitmon's ears, which run down to her shins, and her pink helmet with a silver and gold band similar to Sailor Moon's tiara, complete with a red jewel in the middle. However, the silver markings on her helmet are now white, and she has long flowing golden hair behind her helmet, plus she has spherical red gems set into her ear tabs. Seramon's face is now much more human in appearance, though she still has Rabbitmon's eyes and eye markings. Her body is lithe and slender, like that of an acrobat, with a white top accented with intricate pink designs. Her has a blue sailor-like collar around her neck and a red bow with a pink heart-shaped gem wrapped in a gold container on her chest, with a much bigger red bow where her top and her skirt meet. Her pleated skirt is blue, and she has ribbons trailing from the rear bow to her feet. She has red shoulder guards, pink gloves, and pink boots, all of which have white accents. She carries a pink scepter with another red heart-shaped gem with gold accents, gold designs, and cute angel wings on the sides of the gem.
Attacks:
Shining Slicer: Generates a glowing golden ring(s) around her hands, which she throws at her opponent. It acts as a boomerang, circling around to come back at her. She can make up to 3 of these.
Healing Halo: Draws a ring of light around herself and her allies, healing them.
Ribbon Reacher: The two ribbons dangling from her rear bow can extend and act as secondary limbs, morphing in size to block attacks or ensnare opponents.
Baton Blaster: Generates power in the gem of her specter for about 15 seconds, then fires a pink heart-shaped blast of energy. It's a powerful attack, but it requires a lot of energy, and is only used as a last resort.
Sera Kicker: A powerful kicking attack hitting her opponents with the force of a speeding freight train. However, it is rather easy to avoid unless the opponent is distracted or paralyzed.

Level: Perfect
Attribute: Vaccine
Type: Beast Man Digimon
Family: Nature Spirits/Virus Busters
Appearance: SuperSeramon looks very similar to her previous form, but there are several changes. Her helmet and ears are now white with gold plating, and her "tiara" has several more gems. Her top is the same, but her bow is now made up of angel wings with a golden heart-shaped locket in the middle. Her pink shoulder pads are now spherical with gold markings, and her collar is blue with gold markings. Her skirt has a V-shaped pink belt and three layers, the top layer gold, the middle layer pink, and the bottom layer blue. Her gloves and boots are now much longer and are white as well with pink borders. She also has a pair of angel wings on her back that allow her to fly, and her rear bow has been replaced by a smaller set of wings, though her rear ribbons are still in place. She has a pink and gold scabbard for a sword-like baton that is pink and gold with a guard shaped like angel wings, and a holster for her new scepter, which is primarily composed of a much bigger red gem.
Attacks:
Super Shining Slicer: Generates several glowing golden rings around her hands, which she throws at her opponents. They act like boomerangs, circling around to come back at her. She can make up to 7 of these.
Healing Halo: Draws a ring of light around herself and her allies, healing them.
Ribbon Reacher: The two ribbons dangling from her rear bow can extend and act as secondary limbs, morphing in size to block attacks or ensnare opponents.
Baton Blaster: Generates power in the giant gem of her scepter for about 5 seconds, then fires a pink heart-shaped blast of energy. It's a powerful attack, and takes a good amount of her energy.
Super Sera Kicker: A very powerful kicking attack hitting her opponents with the force of an airliner in flight. However, the attack is pretty easy to dodge, unless the opponent can't.
Mahou Caster: Can absorb her enemies' projectile attacks into her baton, then fire them back at her opponents. The two gems on the hilt, one on each side, can hold an attack. If the baton gets hit by a third attack, the baton explodes.
Crystal Power: Transforms the scepter into a staff that can create crystals either for firing at her opponents or for making spikes.
"Carrot Bomber!"
Several orange carrots with fuses landed in front of the Gizumon squadron, but it barely affected them. The dozen or so robotic artificial Digimon kept advancing on the duo, led by a Gizumon-AT. The AT fired its wing-appendages at the source of the attack: a tiny pink and magenta creature that started bounding away. The AT pointed at the fleeing Digimon, and the basic Gizumon under its command pursued.
"Ear Flapper!" The little Digimon declared as its ears knocked an approaching Gizumon into another, causing both to knock over. "Carrot Bomber!" More vegetable missiles appeared and fired at the Gizumon, instead concentrating on just one, causing it to explode. But there was only one of the pink thing, and 9 Gizumon, plus an AT, were left.
Finally, the Rabbitmon found a brown-haired girl, who picked up the Digimon and started running with it, the Gizumon in hot pursuit. Eventually, they managed to corner the duo in a maze.
"Rabbitmon, we have to do this! It's our only chance!"
"But Katoko, no one in DARTS has ever reached Perfect!"
"We can at least try!"
The girl punched some commands into the wrist computer on her left arm as she declared. "Perfect Digivolution Activate!"
A sphere of energy surrounded the Rabbitmon as it floated into the center of the ring of Gizumon, and a humanoid shape started to form until the sphere collapsed on itself and popped out a cute tan-colored puppy-like creature with a golden collar and a silver headband. The Gizumon stepped back to allow an angry technician to walk in.
"Tamer Kaihei, you disobeyed orders and tried to attain Perfect level. Again."
"I know, sir."
"I know your partner isn't the most powerful EGL we have, but at least she can fight off DABOs! Stop pushing her so much!"
"I just-"
"You just what?"
The girl stayed silent.
"You're lucky these attempts do nothing but regress your partner to Child. However, it did look like you got close that time. Go to lunch."
"Yes, sir."
The girl picked up her partner and walked out of the simulation chambers, heading for the mess hall.
"You really should stop doing that." The adorable Salamon told her companion.
"I just want you to become stronger. I see Kai-chan and Rena-chan doing so well out there, and I want us to be as good as them."
"We each have our roles." The Salamon spoke with a wisdom that betrayed her true mental age. "They are part of the front line combat forces, we are recon and support."
"I just hoped..."
"You want me to be like the girl of your dreams, that 'Sailor Moon'?"
"Ever since I saw that silhouette of what you might become, the old dreams I had as a kid are coming back. She's so beautiful, and she always fights for justice and light!"
"So do we."
"But she's..."
"Katoko, you have me. I'll always be there to protect you."
"I know..."
It was obvious the girl was conflicted. Did she want her partner as her guardian, or the sister of her dreams?

One day the two were approached by some local police and were proceded to be beat. Seichi later came to find out that Ryuga was a member of a lethal neighborhood organazation known as F.R.O.G (Future Rebels Of God). Seichi was later placed in a juvenile detention center until he was 14. As soon as he was released he was contacted by DARTS. They said they saw the good in him, even if he didnt see it in himself. He has been with them as part of the INVERSE project ever since.

---EGL Partner Personality: Dracomon is a very protective and friendly digimon. He also has a very in depth sense of adeventure. He will ultimately lay his life on the line for Seichi and vice versa. Dracomon is very loyal and intelligent.
The sun was peaking through Seichis window as a new day had begun. Dracomon had been awake for hours waiting for the sun to rise. The anxious digimon loved mornings and was ready for his morning routine. He stared at the alarm clock with menacing eyes, counting every second until it hit 8:05 exactly. The clock hit 8:05, Dracomon grinned. He turned to face Seichi's bed and opened his mouth wide, he then let out a gust of hot breath that hit Seichi directly. As always, he let out a blood curdling screen and flew out the bed and hit thr roof with a force that could break concrete.
"Hahahahahahah!! That never gets old", Dracomon said as he held his stomach and laughed.
"DRACO!! That is NOT and i mean NOT funny!!" Seichi gathered himself and proceeded to walk into the kitchen. Dracomon followed close behind.
"I swear that gets old Draco." Seichi sat down as he poured some milk in a bowl with no cereal.
Dracomon looked at Seichi as he consumed his bowl of milk. "Ummm, dude...there is no cereal in there."
Seichi then glared at Dracomon. "Don't judge me." Dracomon grinned a bit.
"So, whats the plan for today?" Seichi looked up "We go to work, just like every day." Seichi finished his bowl and walked to the bathroom to grab a shower.
@Hotaru- Reserved.

@Luxray- Accepted- great app, by the way.

@FinalFan- A couple things; firstly, I did ask for 5 lines on physical description; you gave four, so just edit that a little and that's fine. However, there are a few continuity errors I'd like you to keep in mind while you edit:
Firstly, Perfect level isn't just 'Legendary', it's nonexistent except as abstract apocolypse-class theory listed in the more secret of DARTS testing labs- there's no way a Tamer would be aware of it, as there's never been a Digimon proven to exist at that level (yet).
Secondly, EGLs can't digivolve; they're all at Child level to begin with, like I specified. Digivolving will take place, but not until later; keep in mind DARTS classifies Adult-Levels as "OHSHIT" danger-class, and aren't about to let children run around with that type of power just yet, even if they figured a way to make it work. In a similar vein, GizumonAT don't exist either... as far as anyone outside of the BETA-labs knows, anyway... and certainly wouldn't be used for target practice. Live Gizumon wouldn't be used either, as they're expensive to make and there's a limited supply of DABO-data that DARTS has access to.
Thirdly... I'm perfectly fine with your character having a Sailor Moon fetish, but a digimon based off of it seems a little... iffy... far as I could tell, you could use the Lunamon-Dianamon line to the same purpose. This might sound hypocritical of me to say so (considering I adore Fakemon parodies of other source material), but I don't think it fits very well into the general mood I want the RP to have.
So in a nutshell, rejected for now. You're free to edit the app as much as you want and reapply, though.

@BeingOfCreation- Your Physical Description is a whole three lines too short. Even ignoring that, I can't help but feel your app's a bit... boring, basically just a typical anime-guy, though the plot-part with a friend being part of a gang is a little interesting. Also keep in mind that DARTS isn't a charity organization, and if they took him from the prison, it probably wouldn't be with a 'we see your potential' speech so much as it would be a 'nobody would miss you if we accidentally killed you; ergo, you're perfect' speech. So, rejected for now. You're free to edit as much as you want and reapply.

@Munky_Cheez- I find Roleplays quickly become uncontrollable if players play as both the heroes and the villains, so no, I think I'll be keeping all bad guys NPCS. I'd prefer people didn't play as solo digimon either, for a similar reason.
BTW, fair warning for when you apply, I'm a stickler for grammar.

Intro Post: ]
Currently in the medical room at DARTS was a young girl with short dark hair, curled up in a tight ball holding her head lightly. Her form was stiff and completely un responsive to everything and anything around her. By the red ribbon tied neatly around her neck the girl was easily ideantified as Emiko Tsubara. It wasn’t rare to see her in the medical wing when her headaches were severe, like they were now. It all started after that car crash all those years ago. Most of the time she wouldn’t need to leave her room but there were times her headaches were so bad that she would need to be monitored. Emiko was given medicine to help but there were times her medicine wouldn’t help at all.

Hours had passed before the pains were being ebbed away, and she was able to move without aggravating her head. “Are you feeling better now?” Off in the corner laid a small ball of fur, that Emiko recognized as Tsunamon. He must have been waiting there the entire time. She told him that he could stay in the room.

“Yes…I am.” Emiko sighed slowly moving to her feet. These headaches were annoying to say the least, and they always left her dizzy afterwards. She would do almost anything to get rid of them, sadly she probably never will. “You know you didn’t have to wait here the entire time.”

Tsunamon yawned and stretched his forepaws, “It would have been boring in that room alone, but now that you’re better we can go have some real run.” Emiko cracked a small smile, “I’m sorry but I don’t think I’m ready for your kind of fun.” However, Tsunamon simply ignored her as he began speaking a mile a minute about all of the things they could do now that she was better. Emiko stared at her digimon wondering how long he would be able to speak. He would have to breathe sometime…

Sadly Tsunamon wasn’t stopping anytime soon, which lead Emiko to stand and leave the room with the still, rapidly talking digimon following her.

---EGL Partner Evolutionary Line: Gizumon -> Gizumon-AT -> Gizumon-XT -> Gizumon-Ω
Hiro was in father's lab, tinkering again with Gizumon. The robotic Digimon stood still as he was checking for any patches of plating that could be missing. There were no missing pieces or breaches in the hull. ‘You’re all good Gizumon, those tech boys did a great job in making you battle ready’ he said. Gizumon’s yellow eye glew brightly. 'Thank you Master Hiro, I look forward to finally assist in combat like my fellow Gizumon before and after me’ it replied, its metallic tone slightly echoing. ‘Yeah, I haven’t been out in OMEGA for a long time. Still, I am a little worried how the other tamers would take it having a Gizumon on their team. In some cases you guys are just meat shields for them’ Hiro remarked sadly. ‘Well then, we’ll just show them what this Gizumon are made of. I’ll show them who the meat shield is’ Gizumon boasted. ‘That’s my tin man’ Hiro laughed. ‘I don’t get it’ Gizumon replied. Hiro grinned as he rubbed down Gizumon's eye with a cloth. 'That hurts, warn me next time' Gizumon grumbled as it blinked a couple of times. 'I'll remember that' Hiro promised. The lab was silent, it was soon time for them to mabolize. 'To be honest, going to search down those creatures is kinda exciting' Hiro commented, Gizumon didn't reply.
