SPOILER if you can call it that] much more insight into Alex's life than the other books. Also, I will now summarize every Alex Rider book: 1.Alex is sent by M16, or discovers, an insane evil person. 2.Alex sneaks into insane evil person's place. 3.Alex is captured. 4.Insane evil person reveals their entire plan to Alex, than leaves without making sure their death traps actually work. 5.Alex epically escapes. 6.Alex stops insane evil person. 7.Alex says he won't work for MI6 anymore. 8.Repeat. If I'm Cruelly honest it was an insult to Literature and then when the movie came out, Hell, I nearly flipped out. I don't understand how someone could make money off this crap.
