What can you buy with points?

My question might be a simple one but i just found this lol so help me out here, why when i go to "Points" it gives me an option to "Check out" and i figured it means you can buy stuff using your points, so what is it exactly, are there things on this site that you can buy with your points or what?

Just to let you people know before you go shouting "noob" or something rude, ive been a member for a year, maybe even longer, i just havnt been on in a while and there are some new things that i dont know about.

You can buy stuff from shops, though I'm not sure what checkout is for. For example, I bought the splices in my sig with points. To buy with your points click "Donate Points" and for reason write "Shop" and then put the amount

The forum software used for this is ibEconomy, however the shop items are not added whatsoever. In this manner, points may only be traded between users.

Points are just useless. Other than to make you look good with the more you have, and shops (although when I make one it's usually free).

In all reality, you can't do anything with points. Only thing you can do is donate points to shop owners to buy things they have, which is mostly just gfx stuff.

Donate them to pots for contest prizes and such!
Donate them to a friend for an occasion, B-day for example!
Buy things, Graphics mostly from shops!
Pay someone for doing your request at Requests section!

But, truth be told.. Points are Pointless.
