Alexander was walking through the woods, until he reached a city. He had no money in his pocket and had a Aron on his back. With rags on, and not a care in the world. He stepped into the pokemon center. Oblivious to the argument going on, he asked, "How much is it to get a room or heal my pokemon?" He laughed. He hopped it wouldn't cost a thing, but things sometimes wouldn't work out. Then he would have to sleep outside again. He just wished he could take a bath. And then he burst into laughter. He never liked taking baths. The wilderness was taming him. Oblivious to the puzzlement, as most people would be puzzled by this point, he walked past Daniel, not noticing him, and took a seat in a chair to wait for some information. Aron leapt down onto the ground as Alexander took out his flute. It was his only thing of value, besides Aron, and he was thinking of playing it.

Akio raised an eyebrow. "I beg your pardon? I don't owe you anything." Akio took a step forward, his face becoming serious. "Listen, I'm not a nice guy and I'm certainly not going to take this much disrespect." He walked past the side of Daniel. "But how about this, Daniel? We'll fight infront of the pokemon center. It'll let you get rid of some steam. Then you can go off and do whatever it is we're supposed to do on this island." Akio continued walking until he reached the pokemon center. He grabbed his pokeball and waited for Daniel to meet him.

Kit scampered into the center and Duke dashed in after him. So many pokemon! Duke instantly knew surviving the boat was worth it. Kit suddenly changed course and stopped at an Aron and cried a greeting to her. Duke turned sharply and jumped to avoid hitting Kit and his new potential friend. He almost regained his balance when he here on of the name of pure evil. Daniel. He shuddered and stumbled, the act throwing off balance and causing him to tumble into the chair beside who had to be the Aron's trainer. Duke grinned at him as he climbed into it to sit crosslegged on the seat. "Aw, Hey. Not the best way to meet someone, huh?"

Nathan breathed heavily, the sign he had taken a hard jog to catch up to his new friends. Now that they had all gathered outside- and had gained a new pal, from the looks of the serious looking boy in a beanie- he had finally stopped to take a breather. When Nathan had finally caught his breath, he looked up to examine the Pokemon Center in front of him. It was like any Pokemon Center, red and white with the traditional Poke Ball logo over it, though it looked a little more out of place among all these beach houses.

"Alright, looks like we're here- Roli Poli get back here!" Nathan cried, as a Poke Ball burst open and a small, agile, two-legged form darted away and into the Pokemon Center. "Dang it, Roli, not again!" Nathan took off into the Pokemon Center to in pursuit of his rogue Poliwag, who was now busy buddying up with an Aron and a Shinx. "Oh dear God, I'm so sorry-" Nathan told trainers of the other two Pokemon, while at the same time catching Roli Poli with one hand. "-Gotcha! Roli, you gotta stop doing this! And...wow is it bright in here." Busy in his pursuit of his Pokemon, Nathan had not immediately noticed his surroundings, and now for the first time he inspected them, with his eyes tightly scrunched to keep out the bright lights.

The inside of the Pokemon Center continued the outside's red-and-white theme, but in here it was complemented by the occasional glass table and soft fabric. Around the entrance were scattered several chairs and couches- all the same color- around several glass tables, and beyond this were two escalators, the one against the right wall going down, the one on the left wall going up. Finally, at the end of the room was a long counter that encompassed the entire far end, and it was evidently the Pokemon Centers waiting desk; a door leading to the serious Pokemon treatment rooms and a chair containing a woman garbed in traditional Pokemon Center style could be found there. There was also a couple of computers dotting the counter, along with a strange machine that rested behind it. Nathan had heard it was used to treat mild Pokemon injuries. "Wow..." Nathan said, "...This looks exactly like the Pokemon Center back home! Except...somehow cooler. Maybe it's because the woman behind the desk is hot..."

I will not be continuing the thinking that an identical Nurse Joy lives in every Pokemon Center around the world. Just an FYI.
Aiden noticed that his new friends also made it inside the Pokemon center. He was looking around when he saw Professor Ivy behind a desk. "Look Empress it is Professor Ivy I can't wait until we get to meet her. It will be an accomplishment for me to meet a well known Pokemon Professor." his Pokemon seemed cheerful knowing that her trainer was happy about seeing this strange lady. Aiden decided to walk over to his new friends to wait with them. He knew they would be here for awhile with all the trainers around.

The woman blinked in surprise. "I'm sorry, young man, but I'm not Professor Ivy." She smiled. "I'm just the nurse on duty here. If you want Professor Ivy, I can direct you to her." Then, the woman inspected Aiden more closely and said, "Wait, are you a trainer? Oh, yes, we've had a lot of them through here- they, like you thought Professor Ivy was handing out trainer cards here, when in fact she's doing it in her laboratory. So-" The woman concluded. "Do you want directions to Professor Ivy's laboratory?"

"I would!" Nathan said, who had overheard the conversation. "And I'm pretty sure my friends would too-" Nathan gestured to the group of people that were clogging up the opening of the Pokemon Center. "Hey guys!" Nathan shouted. "Get in here!"

Melina had hesitated before entering the Pokemon Center; even though she was riding on Guardon's back, she was still worried about any Electric Pokemon wondering around. She often saw her Rhyhorn as a stone blanket; as long as he was around, and could help defend her, she would feel more secure. As he trod his way through the center, while careful not to knock or squash anything, she gently caressed the joint between his neck and shoulders; after a year and a few months of communicating with him, she knew what he was like. Her affections for him was that of a brotherly and sisterly love, and not master and owner. Her parents had always tried to teach her that lesson - Pokemon are your friends, not your slaves - and Melina had taken care to understand it well.

Between her and Guardon, she felt she had learnt it.

She espied a group of trainers crowded around a woman; curious, she gently tapped Guardon with the side of her left foot, and he immediately changed direction to the left, which would neatly bring them to the group. He stopped at an appropriate spot, his eyes looking upward at the woman. Melina spoke.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Professor Ivy; I got a message to come here."

Daniel looked up at his hair for a couple of seconds, then heard the call to go into the Pokemon Center. "Sorry, but maybe another time." However, as Daniel went inside of the Pokemon Center, something very strange dawned on Akio.
When Daniel looked at his hair, the yellow patch in his hair MOVED!!!
Daniel squeezed past a girl on her Rhyhorn and went up the escalator to the top floor, which had several computers. He sat down at one and started surfing the Internet for a cheap Borg phone he could buy that created a wireless hotspot. He eventually found a few Virizion stores that were in the Orange Islands...but they were on both Mandarin Islands. He was just about to give up when he found another listing for a store on Kumquat Island, which was practically next door to Hamlin Island! He fistpumped, and started looking for a ferry or a boat that would take him there.

"Yaaaaaaawn."

The noise made many people around the source jumped, as no-one had noticed the pale sleeping boy in the corner. He'd been waiting for Proffessor's arrival for ages, and had spent the last night being asked if he was okay by the nurses in the Pokémon center. He came from mainland Hamlin, so was as much of a stranger to this Pokémon centre as the new arrivals, so, like everywhere else he was new to, he was fussed over. His pale complexion, with the mixture of black hair to make it stand out, made him look permenantly ill, and bags under his eye's from lack of sleep helped create the effect. He'd waved them off instantly, saying he was just tired and needed a rest, before sitting down in one of the chairs in the corner, his Deino sleeping on his lap. He'd drifted off some time between 10 and 12 that night, and had only just woken up. He didn't looked much more refreshed, but felt it in his bones.
Upon waking, he got a nasty pain in his hand. He looked at his hand, and noticed bite marks on it. "Deino!" He said, sighing. "I'm sorry I woke you, but that's no reason to try eat my fingers." The boy laughed and lifted the tired Pokémon off of his knees, standing up. He was dizzy for a moment, being asleep for so long, but regained his balanced quickly, walking over to the desk with the Nurse, overhearing something about Professor Ivy. He decided he'd ask after he fixed his fingers up, so asked for a plaster. "We have some, just a minute." The nurse replied, leaving the others without their information on where the Professor was. He especially noticed a girl come in riding a Rhyhorn, and nearly barging him over. "I'm sorry, but can you watch where you're going. This guy could crush someone." The boy said, cradling his bleeding finger. His Deino, yawning almost as loudly as it's owner had, walked up to the Rhyhorn and bllew a Raspberry at it, grinning largely. "Deino, that's rude." The boy said, pushing the Deino back softly with his foot. "Sorry about her. I'm Kurai." Kurai said, to the girl and the rest of the people gathered. "Sorry for keeping you up, but..." At this he lifted his hand to reveal the large bite marks. "She's ferocious, but mine." Kurai said, rolling his eye's as Deino stuck her tongue out. "You lot are?" Kurai asked, as the Nurse came out with his Plasters.

"Guardon, no!" bellowed Melina as her Rhyhorn flailed in extreme anger. No wonder why - anyone with massive pride such as Guardon would have been offended by Kurai's degrading insults. Melina was struggling to control him, but her Pokemon charged at Kurai with so much velocity and desire for revenge if nothing was done, there was going to be a more bloody scene than was currently present. "Nobody attack him!"

Melina threw herself off and, without even thinking, threw her backpack opened and found Guardon's Pokeball. There were beads of sweat running down the side of her forehead - she had never seen her loyal friend so enraged - and she gently pushed the ball to her lips, before she threw it whilst praying ferverently that this was going to work -

((Because the host himself broke the 'no posts until 2-3 people have posted' rule, I'm going to, but just this once so I can state something. Quaintrelle, Kurai did not insult Guardron, Deino did!))

Kurai jumped backwards, the little colour in his face disappearing instantly. "I'm sorry. My pokémon cant control herself. She's too proud for her own good." Kurai said. At this, Deino jumped infront of him. Although he knew Deino was powerful, much more powerful than She looked, it didn't look good. The rhyhorn was atleast 5 times the size of Deino, and Deino had only one move that would be relatively effective against Rhyhorn. "D-D-Deino!" Kurai stuttered, his face seeming like it would vanish into the air in the next few seconds. "G-get back h-h-here now!" He stammered, withdrawing Deino's Pokéball from his pocket. He couldn't hold the small ball steadily, and nearly dropped it at one point, but caught it and managed to return Deino. "I'm sorry again." Kurai said, bowing his head. "My Deino is very young and immature, and is very proud." Kurai explained.

Yes, but I only broke it 'cause I needed to explain that the Pokemon Center was just a stop on the route to Professor Ivy's lab, which some people still hadn't seemed to get.
"Chansey, use Sing!" There was a sudden rustling and then a large pink egg-shaped Pokemon had waded into the mess created by Korui and Melina, at which point it opened it's mouth and a soft, beautiful melody spread throughout the air. Everyone in the immediate vicinity started feeling drowsy, but no one was more affected that Guardon; it's thrashing became slower and heavier until finally it stopped all together. It's eyes drooped and suddenly Guardon collapsed; a snore later it became apparent the Rhyhorn was asleep.

"Thank you, Chansey." A calm voice said, and suddenly there was a red flash, and Chansey and it's song were gone, called back into the Nurse's Poke Ball. As for the Nurse herself, she strode forward and took the Poke Ball out of Melina's hand and pressed it; there was a second red flash, and Guardon was gone, too. "Now then," The Nurse said steadily, handing the Poke Ball back to Melina, "Shall I give you all those directions? Answer quickly, in case of more...accidents."

"Yes, that would be best," said Melina. Then she added in a lower voice, "Although, is it possible to make Guardon wake up again? Only I do feel a bit ... uncomfortable without him around." She didn't know how to tell people of her phobia, but judging by everyone that was currently gathered, no one had that type of Pokemon she didn't want to see...

As Melina waited for an answer, she gave Kurai a very apologetic look, and waited first for an answer before approaching him. As she waited, her slender fingers twisted the folds of her skirt ever so slightly ... she didn't know the absence of her beloved Pokemon would be like this! Everything suddenly felt cold, albeit she was a bit underdressed in just a dress and leggings, and the worry in her face was evident. She blinked, and with it, she tried to take away her worry.

(Are we still in the Pokecentre, I hope?)

Kusajin strolled into the Center with his Grimer trailing behind him. Better's stench permeated throughout the entire room. The noisome Pokemon caused all the nearby patrons to wake up, and become sickened with the smell. Kusajin walked up to the counter and greeted Nurse Joy. Joy seemed to be the only person that Kusajin knew that didn't mind Better's odor. Better headed towards one of the plants near the entrance and began to eat it.
"Good morning/afternoon/evening(idk which), Joy. Better's smell seems off. I thought it might be just something he ate, but I just want you to check. Better, here." The slimy Pokemon obeyed. He made his way to Kusajin's side, carrying the plant inside of him, including the pot and the soil. Kusajin called him back into his Pokeball, and laid it on the counter. Even when confined in the ball, Better's stench was still able to seep through and affect all the other patrons and trainers.

The Nurse nodded and had started to say something to Melina when the Grimer and the- well, hobo- wandered in, along with a...stench.

Nathan saw the Nurse's face begin to redden and recognized the signs of serious anger. Seizing both Korui and Melina by an arm, he proceeded to push them towards the door, muttering, "We better get out of here before she explodes. She gave me Professor Ivy's address." As he was exiting, Nathan heard the Nurse say, in a barely-contained voice, "So, something is wrong with your Grimer's stench?" and hoped his friends had enough common sense to get out of there.

"Well, then," Nathan said, releasing Korui and Melina as soon as they got to the door. "It's probably a little late for this, but I'm Nathan DeWitt."

"I apologize again. I'm new to Pokémon, and Deino cant seem to get enough of herself, especially around other pokémon. Because of her types, she thinks she's one of the rarest and strongest you can get." Kori said, putting Deino's pokéball in his pocket. "As I was saying, I'm Kori. Kori Aruji. Nice to meet you." Kori said, placing his hands outwards for a handshake. However, as he did this a terrible pain shook his arm. He looked down at his hand, and realised it was still bleeding. He grabbed the plasters of the desk and wrapped his hand in them, before holding it out for a handshake again. "Point in example." He smiled, looking pointedly at his hand. He looked towards Nathan and at the nurse, and realised what he was talking about, and followed him outside. "As I was saying - It seems the world doesn't want me to introduce myself - I'm Kori. Nice to meet you Nathan. And you..." He looked towards to girl for her name.

Melina withdrew Guardon's Pokeball and pushed the button. She watched her newly awakened Rhyhorn emerge, and immediately bent down to cuddle him, albeit slightly awkwardly due to his figure. He seemed to have calmed, for he was eagerly poking his nose towards her; however, he had his back turned on Kurai. Rather than try and force him into turning round, Melina stood up and smiled.

"I'm Melina Swift," she said as she offered her hand. She continued, although her next sentence was directed at Kurai. "I'm really sorry if Guardon terrified you, but I think it's best if Deino doesn't do that again; Guardon hates humiliation."

Nurse Joy seemed to show signs of anger. However, Kusajin proceeded to calmly request treatment.
"Well, at the moment, it isn't really much of a 'stench,' because it smells somewhat sweeter and fruitier than usual. Now, I know that Better eats practically anything, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't gotten anythinging that smells like that. So, could you check on him?" Kusajin, his eyes darting because he despised talking to people, noticed people starting to leave.
That's what happens when you come to a rich city like this; people can't stand a little smell, he thought to himself, They're all way to spoiled.

Kori smiled, shaking Melina's hand. "It's alright. He's just, well, a little bigger than me." Kori chuckled, though pale. "And sorry again for what Deino did. As I said, she's rude and Proud. They seem to have similar personalities, though not that that should make things any better." Kori sighed, looking down. "I hope they'll over come it. It'd be a pity if we couldn't have one outside their pokéball while the other is already out." Kori looked at his pocket where Deino's Pokéball was. "And it'd most likely be Guardon, as although Deino thinks she's tough, she'd probably be no match for Guardon. She doesn't have many moves that are effective against Rock Types." Kori explained, looking towards Guardon. "By the way, how come you were so impatient for Guardon to be out? It seemed as though you were getting nervous or something." Kori asked, not meaning to pry, but curious all the same.

Melina chuckled. "Rude doesn't sound like Guardon. Proud, yes, but he only attacks when aggrivated." She paused, and then said, "Well, you see, I have a ... a ... phobia that's, erm ... well ... heh ... er ..." She wasn't exactly having a breakdown or something not dissimilar, only she still found it hard to tell people about her problem - it was, after all, uncommon and, in cases of great extremity, very dysfunctional. Not to mention that painful memory she wished she could forever eradicate.

Guardon could sense her disquiet, and he nudged his nose against her leg. She bent down and caressed his neck again, and then looked up at Kori. In one breath, she uttered, "I have a phobia of Electric Pokemon."

Duke scat. He knew potential breaking points when he say them, have several himself. He grabbed Kit and make a break for it, moving through the crowd with a fast walk and out the convenient exit Nathan provided. One of the few times he did not resent being short. It made it easier to avoid notice. Kit made a face, possibly because he was forcibly snatched from his new friend, but didn't try to run. Duke lingered by the door, mostly because Nathan was the one who knew where they were supposed to be going. Besides, traveling in groups was more fun than traveling alone.

"Well, I can see why you find that hard to speak about." Kori said, nodding his head as she said it. "I'm not too fond on steel types, though I wouldn't quite call it a phobia." Kori said, getting quieter as he started mumbling to himself. He realised he'd started talking to quiet for anyone to hear and spoke up again. "It doesn't matter anyway. None of us have any Electric type Pokémon." He said, brightening up a bit. However, as he said it a boy, Duke, came running through the door after them....with a Shinx. "Dont worry." Kori said, just before Melina noticed the Shinx. "It's only a Shinx." Kori said, smiling, hoping Melina's Phobia didn't cause her to overreact and start Screaming. He hated Screaming.

Unfortunately, Kori's hopes were going to remain just hopes, because the moment Melina set eyes on the Shinx, she immediately started and screamed, and while she just about managed to stop herself from having a fit, her eyes watered faster than it was humanly possible. Guardon, sensing that they weren't there to do any harm, instantly lightly tackled Duke and Kit aside, and Melina ran straight through the door in utter hysterics. She couldn't care less that she was attracting so much attention, as long as she got out of the way of the Electric Pokemon...

She found a spare seat some distance from the door, and huddled atop it. Beads of tears and sweat were running down her face, and Guardon was speedily following her, hoping that she would be OK. Seeing the only comforting creature before her, she threw herself off the chair and huddled onto Guardon's horn as tightly as she could. Her back was to the exit, and indeed to the rest of the world; right now, anything that wasn't Rhyhorn shaped or coloured was not comforting.

"Gah!" Duke yelled as the Rhyhorn bowled him over. Shinx tumbled unto his head and lay there, dazed. As for Duke, immediately leapt to his feet. He had been ran over by worse. He stared at the doors in confusion. "I one dangerous situation to be ran over by a random Rhyhorn the instant I reach saftey?" He looked over at the boy who was speaking with the girl that ran screaming. "I'm sure I've never met that girl before. But why did I scare her? Did I miss something here?"

"It's not your fault," Nathan said, who had seen the whole thing. "She's got a fear of Electric Pokemon. Here, do you think you could put Shinx away? I'm going to go try and cheer her up." Nathan turned and walked back inside of the Pokemon Center, where he saw Guardon and Melina in a tight huddle. "Um, hey there," Nathan said, walking awkwardly up to Melina's back. "Is there any thing I can get? Any thing to help with...y'know?"

Elsewhere in the Pokemon Center, the Nurse was starting to look a little less angry. Apparently, screaming on the inside did help things. "Sweeter and fruiter, you say? Strange...I'll take a look at him." In a brisk fashion, the Nurse took the Poke Ball and placed it inside the strange contraption behind the counter. She touched a few buttons, and then a series of beeps could be heard. The Nurse spent several minutes looking at a small monitor on the machine, then said, "Oh, it's nothing. Your Grimer seems to have eaten a strange Berry...a Pinap or Magost berry maybe...and it triggered something inside your Grimer that produced a stranger scent. It's nothing; your Grimer should be better in a couple of days, tops." The Nurse took the Poke Ball off the machine and handed it back to Kusajin. "All set?"
