Austin smiled at Nathan. "I'm from here. My home island is Mandrin Island South. I've been to every island but this one." Austin said. "The first gym is on Pummelo Island. So we should catch a ferry out of here by sundown." Austin said. "There has been Unova Pokemon showing up there. We can also get some intense training in. We could even battle!" Austin said. "First we need ferry tickets. Follow me to the Pokemart!" Austin said grabbing Nathan's arm and pulling him out. He pulled him to the Pokemart. "Two tickets to Pummelo Island please!"

Jesse walked out of the lab, wondering where he would head next. He had to get away from the island of course, but he had no real idea which island he should go to first. He didn't really have much of an interest in taking on the gyms, mostly because he knew that Frenando disliked battling and thus it would just be like he was tormenting the poor thing by forcing him to. It was a good thing he had stayed near the lab and pondered though as Ivy came hurrying out the door, coming to an abrupt stop as she saw him. She was holding an egg of some sorts, quite a big one at that as it had to be a bit over a foot long.

"Oh, good you hadn't gotten very far Jesse" Ivy said, pulling a sigh of relief. "I want you to take this egg with you" she said, holding the egg out to Jesse. "I came across it a couple of days ago when I was doing some field work and it seemed to have been abandoned as it was still there without a parent around when I walked past it again several hours later" she explained before Jesse could ask her where she got the egg from in the first place. "I think its better if you take it as a lab is no place for a newborn pokémon, whatever kind it will be" She said as Jesse accepted the egg, being very careful with it.

"T-Thanks" He mumbled, being quite baffled that he was getting not only a pokédex, but also an egg from Ivy on the same day.

"Now I must get back to work, good luck on your journey now and remember to take notes of your research" Ivy said before running back into the lab again. "I'll keep in touch with you every now and then to see how you're doing!" she added before she closed the door to the lab again.

Jesse looked down at the egg in his arms and wondered what kind of pokémon that might come out of it.

"I guess I could just take the ferry to whatever island they're going to today and go on from there" he thought and started to walk down towards the harbour, making a quick stop at his house first of course to make sure he had all the supplies and clothes necessary for a journey like this. His father already knew, Ivy had called ahead and told him and he was as happy as a well fed Munchlax over the news.

As he reached the harbour he checked the departures and apparently the ferry to Pummelo Island would be the one leaving next. "Pummelo island it is then" he mumbled to himself.

Duke tailed them to the pokemart. Not only because he wanted ferry tickets, but also because he needed to by a few more pokeballs. He only had one left and he planned to do a decent amount of pokemon catching in the near future. In his hood, Alice squirmed and leapt out to pace him as he walked, looking scornfully at the merchandising. At least she was not like Kit, who tended to knock things over in his curiosity. As Austin secured tickets, Duke headed to the other counter. "Can I have three pokeballs please," he asked, placing $600 on the counter. With three more balls, he would have four, enough to catch a full party. He figured her would focus on raising them before gathering his army. But Pummelo island was as good a place as any to start out.

"Hey Austin, Nathan, mind if I tag along?"

Austin bought the tickets for 100 Poke each. He handed Nathan one and turned to Duke. "Oh, Duke! Sorry I didn't see you there. I guess.... M-my mom always said the more the merrier.... but she won't say it anymore." Austin said. He looked down. "Just a moment." he said running out of the Pokemart. He had a flashback and got his self back together. He walked back into the mart and looked at Nathan. "You own me 100 Poke."

Alexander said, "Use Iron Head, Iron-Friend!" Alexander's Aron bashed into the enemy Kirlia, knocking it out. Alexander was using Iron-Friend for his second battle, earning him 500 dollars over the course of the two battles. But Aron was tired. Alexander took him to the nurse and she took him away. It would be a few minutes before Aron was okay. During this time, Alexander decided he would go out and buy some food. He exited the pokemon center and found a market. Not many people were here yet, so Alexander had beat the crowd. He bought a banana and looked up. A group of Swellows was passing overhead. Alexander thought, someday he would get a giant bird type pokemon and fly everywhere. He smiled as he walked back to the pokemon center. He had about 450 dollars now and felt safe.

Daniel accepted his upgraded Pokedex, which automatically started updating to include Gumbo, Bubbles, Elizabeth, and Sasuke, as well as his improved Trainer Card. He found Ace, got his attention, pulled out his laptop, and started looking at the map. "Hmm...looks like the quickest way to get there would be to go from Kumquat south to Shamouti, then further south to Fairchild Island, followed by a turn to the southeast to Kinnow Island and another southeastern push to Moro Island. But, we could also swing east from Shamouti to Cleopatra Island, then south to Navel Island and through the Grapefruit Islands to get to Moro. Then, after Moro, we could head southwest to Murcott Island. Shamouti will be out first Gym, and depending on what route we take, we will either hit the Gym on Navel Island or the Gym on Kinnow Island. After we go to Murcott, we can then go in any direction northwards. How does that sound?"

Melina calmed down enough to return to the room, although she lingered near the doorway. "So, if we're teaming up ... are we going around in pairs? If that's the case, who else is yet to have a partner? And please don't tell me I have been left with someone who has an Electric Pokemon..." Her Bulbasaur nudged her by the ankle, and she looked down. He looked up curiously at her, a glimmer of wonder deep in his eyes. Melina bent down and stroked him between the ears. "Ah, you need to know. I can't come in contact with Electric Pokemon, so I am relying on you to protect me, along with Guardon, of course." The Rhyhorn nudged Bulbasaur gently and affectionately. "Hmm, I still need a name for you..."

"I dont have any Electric Pokémon." Kori said, removing Deino and Squirtle from their Pokéballs. "And I'm not really looking to catch any, So I'll join you if you want." Kori said, shrugging. He accepted his Pokédex politely, and the new Trainer's license with his Picture - his hair not in front of his face for once - and Squirtle and Deino on the front. He quickly shoved them in his Pocket, for easy access, and thanked Proffessor Ivy. "Well, we're both Challenging Gyms, aren't we?" Kori asked Melina, as no-one had really told him what they were doing. "If so, then the nearest one to us would be....." At this he pulled out a Map of the Islands, one he'd forgotten about in his bag and was now scrunched up and torn in places, making the bottom left corner unreadable, but for the moment it was fine. ".....Pummelo Island or Shamouti Island. Pummelo Island would be the best, as the Legend Festival Starts in about 2 weeks, so we could head to Pummelo Island, do some stuff there, and get to Shamouti for the Festival." Kori suggested, stuffing the map into one of his pockets and turning to face Melina.

Jesse sat in the harbour, looking at the ship he had intended to take leave. There were no tickets left fot that ferry so he would have to wait for the next one. He sighed and looked at the egg in his lap. "well... you are going to be a hassle to carry around" He mumbled, trying to come up with a way he could carry the egg around in a safe way that also meant he could use his arms. Maybe he'd be able to create some kind of sling for it that he could have on his back?

He chewed a little on the inside of his cheek, a habit of his when he was thinking. He'd have to try it at least, but not until he'd reached Pummelo.

(OOC: i'll probably be unable to reply for about an hour/hour and a half.. stupid work :()

Josh felt alone and walked a bit. The harbor was pretty interesting. He saw something near a trash can and bowed down to take a closer look at it. It was a necklace, pretty similar to his own. He lucker it up and kept walking a bit. It started to rain. It was'nt cold, but Josh wanted to go inside so fast as possible. Then he saw Jesse sitting there. He walked up to Jesse. "Hey bro, want to team up?"

"oh... hi there, Josh, was it?" He replied, being unsure of the boys name. There had been so many new names yesterday so they were all flying around in his head, not really making any sense. "Well, it depends on where you're going" He continued, placing the egg in his lap carefully on the floor in front of him, leaning it against his beige sachel bag. "I'm going with the next ferry to Pummelo Island, it'll leave in about an hour as one just left" He explained, holding up the ticket he had bought earlier for 100 pokédollars. It wasn't inexpensice to travel between the islands, but he couldn't very well swim there. especially not with all the tentacools in the waters.

"Eh..." Nathan said slowly. Wow, was this guy forceful. Not only had he tried to pull Nathan down to the docks, he had bought him a ticket and was trying to make him go with him! Wow. However, despite Austin being pushy, Nathan liked him, and so he tried to be careful with his next words. "Well, actually..." Nathan stammered. "I wanted to see where the other people were going first...you know, so we can try to keep the group together, keep us all friends. So, let's go back to the lab, yeah?"

Nathan returned just in time to hear Daniel list the places he wanted to go. "Oh, that sounds like fun!" Nathan said abruptly. "I've always wanted to go to Shamouti Island, apparently their festivals are legendaries. Hey-" Nathan said. "Why don't we go to those places, as a group?" Nathan pointed around the various people still left in the lab, of which Daniel, Ace, and Duke were included.

Austin listened to Nathan. "Fine. I'll sell these later." Austin said following Nathan. He over them taking about Shamouti Island. "Oh Pokeballs, I hate that place! A Pokemon almost drowned me there! I'll stick with Electric Types for now....." Austin looked at Pichu and Eevee's Pokeball. "One day guys....."

Alexander had come back to the pokemon center to reclaim his Aron. Iron-Friend was looking much better now and was running around Alexander's feet. He ran out the door and Alexander had to chase him down. "Don't run off!" Alexander called out. He could see Iron-Friend, but the Aron was too far away for Alexander to put it in its pokeball. By the time Alexander had caught up to Iron-Friend, he had found the ocean. The Aron was splashing around in the water and Alexander called out, "Come back, Iron-Friend!" Iron-Friend ran back over to Alexander and Alexander put him back into his pokeball.

"You and I are going to have a talk," Alexander said to the pokeball, "I don't care if you love the water, you can't run off." Hopefully, sound travelled into pokeballs. Alexander had never found that out. He clipped the pokeball to his belt and started skipping back to the pokemon center.

Ace stared, dumbfounded, at Daniel. He had honestly understood only a few words out of the jumble that reached his ears. He tilted his head while he was trying to figure out what exactly Daniel was saying, when he realized something: there were in a town; and a town has a Pokemart! Ecstatic, Ace held up his hands. "Wait here just one minute, Daniel." Then he bolted out of the lab, and headed straight for the 'Mart. As soon as he was inside, he walked up to the lady in the front. "Three Pokeballs, please." The girl smiled, and he exchanged the money for a trio of small red and white balls. "Thanks," he said, before turning and bolting back to Daniel. "Alright, I'm ready to catch some Pokemon! So...where do we go?"
Please remove 600 money and add 3 Pokeballs to my inventory.
"We can get group benefits too," Duke mused out loud, considering the fact places often offered discounts when you went with company. And if they enraged another pokemon like Scolipede, groups offered protection. Besides, travel with friends was more fun than being alone. Alice hissed her displeasure at the idea of traveling with what she considered peons. Duke soothed her with a series of gentle pats. Then he remembered that he would have to take a boat. Ugh.

Daniel sighed and repeated. "We're going to catch a ferry to Kumquat Island so I can get a new phone, then head to Shamouti Island for the first Gym Challenge. After that, we have the option of going south, then east, stopping by Farichild Island and hitting the Kinnow Island Gym, or going east, then south, allowing us to challenge the Navel Island Gym and enjoy some lovely cuisine from the Grapefruit Islands. Either way, we should reach Moro Island in a few days. We can head south to Murcott Island to face off against the Gym Leader there, then head anywhere else. Your choice of which route we take to get to Moro Island and where we go after Murcott Island."

Listening carefully, Ace was still only to understand the basics of what Ace was trying to say. He perked at the mention of the gyms, then his stomach dropped. He only had his one Pokemon, Volpecula! "I...I don't think I'm ready for a Gym Challenge yet," he said to Daniel. He nervously felt the PokeBalls he had temporarily stuffed into his pocket, and the one which currently held his Eevee. "You've got what, four Pokemon?" he said, motioning to Daniel's belt. "I barely had time to help out with that big Pendra before it took us all out." Suddenly, with a flash of light, Volpecula was out of her Pokeball. She jumped onto Ace's head, her claws digging into his shoulders. Even through the pain, Ace could feel her inner confidence; she would face the challenge no matter what it was.

"I guess Pummelo," said Melina. "I mean, it does look very attractive." She paused, during which time she continued to stroke her Bulbasaur with all the affection that a trainer could give a Pokemon. The grass Pokemon purred slightly - an unusual move for his type, really - and Melina added, "So, are we going to take a ferry or what?" Without waiting, she continued, "I pressume we will have to; it's a shame that Guardon can't use or learn Surf until he's a Rhydon."

Kori nodded. "Squirtle could take us there, but we'd be dragged along the waves, and probably have Pneumonia by the time we get there." Kori said, smiling. "Well, shall we?" Kori said, motioning towards the door of the lab. Saying goodbye to Ivy, and thanking her once again for the Pokédex and trainer card, he exited the door, releasing Deino and Squirtle from their pokéballs. He lifted his hand above his eyes to shield them against the sun, and stared down towards the main town. "Looks like there's a ferry approaching the docks. We better hurry if we want to get some tickets for it." Kori said, without any enthusiasm. He had no intention of hurrying anywhere, and would probably prefere to wait for another ferry than run. Deino, however, was in a different mood. Tired of being cramped in the pokéball, she decided to run everywhere, and anywhere she could, while at the same time trying to annoy Guardon and drag Kori towards the town. Squirtle sighed at Deino's acting, thinking about how fun it would be to blast a Water gun at her right now. "Well, come on then." Kori said, turning around to face Melina, feeling the warmth of the sun on the back of his head. He'd miss Hamlin, but atleast he'd probably go somewhere that didn't roast you alive.

"Oh look, there's the ship" Jesse exclaimed as he saw the ship coming into the harbor. "Well, if you're coming with me to Pummelo you better run and get yourself a ticket, because I already have mine and will have to board" He said, turning to Josh and then picking up his egg and swinging the bag up on one of his shoulders. "I hope you make it, otherwise I guess I'll see you around" he said as he started to walk towards the to wait for boarding.

He had considered to let Fernando out before he boarded, but he decided against it as he didn't want to risk him getting frightened and running off in case the boat honked it's horn or something. He'd let him out on the boat though, Frenando had never been on a boat before so it would be nice to have him gain that experience.

The ship appeared in the harbor. He over heard about Melina going to Pummelo Island. He smiled and took Pichu out. "Go Pichu! Use Hug!" Pichu jumped onto Melina. "CHA!" Pichu said then winked. Then he gave her a big wet kiss on the nose. Austin started laughing. "Haha!"

Kusajin walked up to Ace and Daniel. "Hey, I heard something about a ferry to Kumquat Island? Mind if I tag along?" Better and Glut, Kusajin's baby Lickitung, stood behind Kusajin, staring at the two. Glut looked up at the Eevee standing confidently on top of the boy's head. "By the way, I found some sort of stone... I have no idea what it is; it's covered in rock and other stuff. Might be a fire stone, a water stone, etcetera... I really have no idea, but I can't use it. Who wants it?" (This stone, whatever it is, won't cause Eevee to evolve on contact... unless Lux says so.)

Iron-Friend bashed his head into a Hoppip. Alexander commanded, "Use Headbutt now!" It was a fully green Hoppip. And that wasn't the color Hoppip's were generally. So this was a shiny Hoppip. That meant it was different. Rare. Alexander yelled, "Dodge it, QUICK!" As it used stun spore. Iron-Head jumped out of the way and slammed into Hoppip. "Again!" Alexander called out. Iron-Friend jumped up to ram into Hoppip when it used bullet seed. Iron-Friend was slammed into the ground. "No!" Alexander yelled. Iron-Friend jumped up and shook himself up. But Hoppip used that to his advantage and swept down using stun spore again. "Iron Head! Quickly!" Alexander screamed. The stun spore hit the little Aron as he flew threw the air at Hoppip. Hoppip retaliated with tackle. The collided in mid air sending up smoke. Iron-Friend fell to the ground, but the Hoppip spun around in mid air. Confused.

Alexander threw the pokeball. His last pokeball. He wanted this Hoppip because he wanted to study the properties of shiny pokemon. What made them shiny? Perhaps he could use a pokemon lab's equipment. It dinged. "Yes!" Alexander pushed his hands into the sky and shouted, "I will name you Air-Friend!"

Josh ran and brought a ticket and jumped on the boat just before it started. It was a normal-sized tourist boat, maby 20 meter long, with many windows. It was almost crowded with pepole wanting to visit Pummelo. Josh searched up Jesse. "I got in! Now we'll wait, right?" Josh did'nt like waiting, but he'd rather stay in the boat, because it started to rain. "Oh great. Rain. Just what I needed." The boat had come almost half of the way when Josh saw something big in the water.
