So I fought Huff N. Puff for the very first time last night.....

From what I heard about him, people said he was an incredibly difficult boss. During my 10HP challenge (Which is my first play through of the game), I beat him without dying once or using my resources. imo, he's the easiest boss so far (Not to act pretentious).

Discuss intimidating challenges in Video Games that turned out to be much more easier than expected.

"oh guys the lost levels was so hard i mean holy crap those asian people can play theyre crap i mean no shit it wasnt released in amerika"

I played it on an emulator, and only looking up the Warp Pipe locations, I beat it within a few hours.

I still had to go through much of the final world, mind you.

Huff N' Puff is stupid easy.
By the time I reach him, I always expect the worst, and have like 20 HP.
....But I always have like either max FP and BP by then aswell xD

And I only lose, like, MAYBE 5-8 HP the whole fight.
Super S.Jump Charge for a few turns, then Power Bounce for game.
Its quite fun ;)

I was playing Blops with a 6 year old last night and tried to educate him on the merits of retro gaming. He then proceeded to list every CoD game as "the best games of all time."

This, right here, is exactly why every online feature only looks cool at first, then you go and play it, and its full of retarded 6-8 year olds.
God, why is "Rated Mature" the new "Rated E for everyone"?

Also, I can name at least 10-20 games that are better then Call of Duty.

Fixed ;)

I don't like challenges like that, I'm not a masochist or a perfectionist and give up way to quick. Diablo II Hardcore Mode? Never again! Star Ocean 4D Difficulty? Nope, not with me. Final Fantasy IX 12 Hour-Excalibur 2-Run? You got to be f****** kidding me!

I rather enjoy my games, not torture myself with them... I actually can't even remember beating one single game on any harder difficulty than the standard settings, except for Diablo II, but that doesn't count because you have to do the harder difficulties in order to experience the full game (and even though the last difficulty level is called "hell", it's not really that hellish)... wait, I lied, I beat Eternal Sonata on hard. But that's only because the normal difficulty is a joke, and even "hard" can't be called challenging... still a great game though

Chill Out Star Storm Star Storm Chill Out Star Storm Star Storm

Pretty much my strategy for Huff N. Puff in a nutshell.
First off, DO NOT ATTACK HUFF N' PUFF UNTIL YOU ARE READY.
As the Ruff Puffs do extra damage, and let him heal himself. Add to it, he can only use some of his stronger attacks when hes on the verge of being defeated.
Your partner for this battle should be Bow.
You should come prepared with at least 20 HP and A LOT of FP.
You only need enough BP for Power Bounce and the S. Jump Charge. But of course, having BP for extra damage also helps. Especially if you have various HP gaining badges.
Here is your strategy:
Now spams that 'Mario-Becomes-Invincible' move, and Mario spams S.Jump Charge.
If your good at timimg and/or button mashing, Huff N' Puff can only really do 1, maybe 5 damage to you at a time.
So when you get low in FP, and you used S.Jump Charge like 5 to 8 times, proceed to Power Bounce.
And if you do it right, the damage done to Huff N' Puff is as follows:
25 -> 24 -> 23 -> 22 -> Huff's HP hits 0 -> 21 -> 20 -> 19 -> 18 -> 17 -> I usually miss at this point

So I usually like to take my time to ensure an overkill.
Why? Because the fight actually gets harder, the more damage you do to him. So if you just wait it out, then insta-kill him in 1 turn, its actually a fairly easy battle.
Hope that helps ;)

Well I prefer Lackilester in the battle. Bow is good for the stupid Thunder attacks though.

I know that, but I hate waiting it out which is why I suck at it. xD

But thanks Arm.

Why do you WANT the battle to be harder?

You dont have to wait THAT long.
Just S.Jump Charge at least 5 times, then Power Bounce him for game.
Its actually a very easy fight if you do it that way O,o

Whats funny about Paper Mario, is that you can go up agenst every boss with just 20 HP, and win.
Really, you only really need 20 HP for every boss. But thats if you get careless now and then like I do, and take a few hits.
The only time you would need max HP, is before you go into the Bowser Castle. Because at that point in the game, you WANT to use the Amazy Dayzee to farm for mass Star Points.
No really. you literally are farming plants for Star Points.
When in Flower Fields, you go off to the right(its the area wit the spikes and the small platforms and such)
ALL YOU NEED IS THE DIZZY-SPIN BADGE.(or what-ever its called)
..and a few other badges that raise damage and such.
WATT MUST BE YOUR PARTNER FOR THIS. As her Piercing lets you damage this thing more then your other partners.
When you get over the spikes, and come to the area with 2 Dayzees by the tree, DONT KILL EITHER OF THEM. Instead, go right into the next area, then go left again to the same area. If you dont see this:

then just keep going back and forth until you see one.
Now when you see this thing, you want to instantly spin into it, so you can stun it.
When the battle starts, have Watt use her basic attack. This does 5 damage. Then Mario MUST do 5 or more damage.
Now the Dayzee's stun will wear off, and give you another turn.
Watt and Mario must do 5 damage each, for a total of 20 damage over those 2 turns, thus, killing it. It gives you like 64 star points per KO.
And yes, the golden one is immune to all possible status conditions. So dont bother trying to shrink it or anything. Same with Star Spirits.
Now heres where the farming part comes in: Leave Flower Fields, and instantly return. Repeat the above shenanigans in order to find another.
....And within a few 10-20 battles, you should have maxed HP, FP, and BP.
this makes the final battle a lot easier.
Have fun.

Final fight with Ganondorf on Windwaker, I only died once, but it DID take a while to defeat him, I always messed up with deflecting the light arrow
Wind Waker and OoT were both EPIC boss fights. Wind Waker had some of my favorite music though.
