[IC] Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Diares

Tokyo Duel

Simon draw his next card, before flipping over one of his face-downs immediately.

"I activate Fine, discarding Broww, Huntsman of Dark World and drawing 1 card through its effect. Jar of Greed allows me to draw another. I then sacrifice Beiige and Sillva to place one monster face-down, and now that I have 3 DARK monsters in my Graveyard, I can Special Summon Dark Armed Dragon in Attack Position!" A black dragon appeared on Simon's side of the field, waiting to attack.

Dragon-type/DARK/Level 7/2800 ATK/1000 DEF

"Oh, and you might as well say adiós to your back row," called Simon, "'Cause I remove Beiige and Broww from play to destroy them with Dark Armed Dragon!" Dark Armed Dragon slashed at the two cards. Both of them were vaporized within seconds, but Simonachi wasn't done with his assault yet.

"Puressim, take down that face-down monster with Infernal Maelstrom!" Puressim launched a stream of indigo fire at the monster, similar to the stream of fire that was aimed at the Sector Security officers earlier.

As Puressim fired the attack at the face down card, it revealed itself as a locomotive writtled with black bones and a face of pure agony and pain. The mouth sucked in the flames like it was nothing as the monster still stood in its now revealed spot. "You were saying...?" Droian said a the locomotive let out a loud horn. "This monster is Chaotic Locomotive. He cannot be destroyed in battle by dark monster as long as he is on the field. And since he was in Defense Position, I don't take damage."

"Guess again," Simonachi scolded, cackling away while he did so, "There are lots of monsters that deal piercing damage in Duel Monsters. Puressim here is one of them."

Chaotic Locomotive tooted its horn one too many times. The indigo flames that it had absorbed had then erupted from its foghorn, going straight for Dorian and taking 2900 of his life points with it as it vanished into nothingness.

Meanwhile, back at the Dark Signer meeting, Tovee was scanning through the Deck that she received from Blood... before her heart seemed to melt at the sight of a Babycerasaurus.

"Oh my god, its so cuuuuuuute, I love you, I love you, I love you..." Tovee then made to give a massive bear hug followed by a kiss on the lips, "You sir have just got the whole of Sector Security under your wing." She was about to give Blood another kiss until what sounded like a cry of panic blasted from her intercom.

"This is Tovee Coma, speaking," she declared after a brief sigh... "The hell do you mean you don't have him yet?"

"Sorry, Tovee," an adrenaline-pumped Sector Security officer responded, as footsteps can be heard; presumably because he was still running at the time, "We were so close to finally arresting him until this monster appeared outta nowhere and... we just had to get outta there! There was no two way..." His voice was cut off as Tovee ripped the intercom from its holder, which was situated on her left breast.

"Damn those imbeciles!" Tovee spat, "One minute they've cornered the bastard, and the next they disperse like rats! I'm starting to think they're more useless than I thought..."

"This guy's a Signer, right?" Al stood up slowly but spoke clearly and loudly. Looking at Tovee, he said, quite calmly, "You're clearly not going to catch or beat him, and I say that because you sound like you've tried already. I'll head over there if you don't mind. As long as no one else wants a crack at him?" Al looked around and waited for a response.

"I'd at least take someone with me if I were you," Tovee warned Al, "I sense our Simon is already caught up in a duel, and if he catches so much as a whiff of your presence, you'll likely get involved in a 2 against 1. Trust me on this, but no single person has ever beaten both opponents at the same time."

Tovee then nudged her head over to Akio's direction. Something about this guy must've been bugging her this whole time. Perhaps she overheard what he was conversing with Blood about.

"Why not take him along?" Tovee asked.

Aiya watched the duel taking place in front of her nervously, though it perplexed her as to why this criminal was bothering when he looked like he could just beat the hell out of them with his bare fists. She felt she should have taken the opportunity to run before now but the duel kept her rooted to the spot. Dorian was already at a massive disadvantage, having lost both field and life point advantage. She fidgeted slightly, worried for him despite only having met him about a minute ago.

Maybe he should of tag-teamed she thought That guy already has him outnumbered and overpowered by monsters.

She stole a glance at Daisuke, a worried look on his face.

"You....Your sure he'll be alright on his own?" She asked, doubt clearly evident in her tone.

****

Rika scoffed slightly.

"He's all yours," she waved lazily at Al "Go get your ass kicked, see if I care."

She leant back lazily in her chair, putting her feet up against the table.

"Well....I guess you'll be doing something at least," she added, gazing up at the cieling.

"Ah, worry not Kira, I'll be back completely unharmed so you can exact whatever freaky torture fetish gets you going." Al said in a much more jovial voice. Facing Akio, he said, "So, you up for it? A little 2-on-2? What're you thinking, on or off the Runners?"

While he waited, he held his hands outwards and played with the fire, making tiny, flaming Duel Runners speed around the air, occasionally crashing into each other in a burst only to be replace by another set.

Dorian twicthed a bit as he was hit with damage from the attack. "Well then. Its my turn." he drew a card and started up his turn. "I'll switch Chaotic Locomotive into Attack Position." The Locomotive blew off a giant burst of steam as it was ready to fight. "Then I'll summon Pilot Android in Defense Position." A human-like robot appeared carrying a bouquet of flowers as it stood beside Chaotic Locomotive. "I'll set two cards face down and end my turn.

Blood felt a little bit uneasy after what Tovee did to him, wipping his shoulders and lips. Blood might once be a Champion in the Pro Leauge who female duelist would go all over him, but he had never once encounter this. "Al you can go take a look, I nee some infomation about that Signer too. Just make sure you won't die out there," said Blood as he tried to get a hold of himself, "I have some other task for you to do. Plus Rei is waiting for you to go see the gift that she's willing to offer."

"As for Akio," said Blood as turn his attention towards him, "never mind you can go if you want to."

In all of the confusion, Rei had somehow disappeared. Just vanished without a trace.

Meanwhile, in a strange high-tech war room with a holographic display of a giant metal ring with what looked to be a sun in the center and various habitable surfaces in the middle, human-looking beings with peculiar armor were talking, one of which was on some sort of throne speaking to a much more heavily-armored soldier.

Akio stared at Al. "Regardless of motive, power or pride, the battle of the signers is not yet to start. We should know our enemy more before we step in battle." He gave a smile, remembering a little bit of a story his brother told him before dieing, "Know the enemy before you throw the enemy. It's a bit of a rebel joke." He looked towards Blood. "Our leader is wise, he'll know when to go to battle. Until then, I'm sure he'll agree that recon is currently our best stratagy." His smile faltered, "I'm throwing a masquerade at my house. I'll be inviting some of the most famous and strongest duelists so we can meet and greet the suspected signers. Who knows, maybe I'll throw in a little tournament too? But for now, all of us are to remain under cover." He stared at Blood, it was almost a glare. "I've been dragged in here by the voice in my head and the first thing I want to do is end the damn war. So believe me when I say that I'm the first person who wants to get it over with. But the darkness has given me the knowledge of the cosmos, the knowledge of the greatest leaders. I am just an advisor, but listen to what I have to say. The first man to enter a battle...almost always dies." He leaned back into his chair and stared up, "Unless if it's an ambush. But we're in no position to be declaring an ambush now."

Akio slowly closed his eyes, trying to remember a much similar scenario. "The establishment of one of the new worlds had a war like the one we're facing. The white man versus the native. The natives one at first, they had an ambush, but the white man adapted and wiped them out. It was near-extinction before it was decided they'd taken enough punishment. We can't let that fate happen to us as well." His eyes opened, and his thoughts were now clear. "We'll befriend the signers, turn them against each other, and kill them while they're destroying themselves. The last thing I want them to see is their friend sharing their fate." He wasn't smiling, he was actually very calm. That was the scary part of Akio, he knew how to speak. His eyes closed once more, his face still pointed at the ceiling.

"Huh, you should've gone ahead and attacked my facedown," Simonachi called as he began his turn, "Because I Flip Summon it and reveal it to be Fabled Dianaira!" An pink-skinned behemoth lunged onto the battlefield, clenching its fists that were encased in palm-less golden gloves. It donned a masked, and some pants that were belted and had drapes coming of them.

Fiend-type/LIGHT/Level 8/2800 ATK/100 DEF

"I then activate Deck Devastation Virus, sacrificing Goldd to annihilate anyone that has 1500 Attack Points or less!" Simonachi continued. Goldd exploded into green cell fragments that latched onto Dorian's field, hand and deck. Simonachi sat back and watched the fragments eat away at the cards. Chaotic Locomotive sucked up any fragments that drew near, so naturally it would be unaffected, but Simon had plans to dispose of it.

Meanwhile, Tovee was already pissed off about her probable failed effort to dispose of Akio. Surprisingly, he managed a big lecture that was sure to get everyone onto his ideas instead. But Tovee believed she could see one big gaping flaw.

"You really think Simon would be that stupid?" Tovee asked in a cold tone, "He can easily tell us apart, and he'll likely tell the other Signers to prepare for this big trick. I suggest we find Simon and take him down first."

Akio smiled at Tovee. "By making it a masquerade, we've eliminated that possibility." Akio knew that he and Tovee weren't friends, but he made sure that he would always be one step ahead. "Masks would cover our faces, and we'd wear outfits that weren't...dark, demonic capes. Besides, I have yet to make myself known to any of the signers. They have no idea who I am. I'll just say that I'm a man who's made quite a few wise investments, and I'm looking for a new duelist. Anyone will jump on the chance to go pro through one simple tournament." His eyes seemed to grow a bit of a red tint, "Besides, I'm really looking forward to watch these little stars burn up."

"You don't understand," Tovee shook her head in disgust, "If he can't see us, he'll hear us. If he can't hear us, he'll smell us. Hell, even if we evade his human senses, he's got his trusty Signer mark, and that'll go off whenever we get anywhere near him. You know what this big ass plan you spewed out reminds me of? The Titanic! Sure, we can assure ourselves it'll work all we want, but the moment something we can't possibly foresee happens, it's all gonna blow up in our faces..."

Tovee turned to play around with her new Deck, searching through as many possible combinations as she could before she would finally get the chance to duel, and hopefully defeat Simonachi once and for all.

"Let me go instead of Akio, after all, there is barely anyone in this world who knows me unlike Akio who is much more well known. Anyway, I just look like a beggar without these robes and no-one pays attention to beggars. I also haven't left this place for a while and if we are having a masquerade party than I should get used to society first so I can fit in until the party is over." once again, Renee moved back and sat back down, thinking she had made her point and sat back in the chair to gather the purple fire ready if they did let her go. Watching the conversation again she used the purple fire to hide the skull like purple mark from her face and checked through her deck to make sure that all her cards were there an her Earthbound Immortal was still in the deck

Akio looked at Tovee, "But the signer mark going off is part of the plan." Akio gave a faint smile once more, "I'm inviting more then just the signers. I told you I'd be inviting the top duelists. They'll have no idea its us. Besides, anyone can make their dark signer markings dissapear. This is all for the darkness, after all. They'll grant us what we need to remain hidden." His eyes slowly drifted around the table, "Besides, most of the people here don't act like Dark Signers. In camo they'd have no idea. A voice is easy to recognize, but hard to put to a face, after all. And we can always use the 'We must sound the same' excuse, who could argue with that?"

Akio's eyes shifted towards Renee, "It's a good point you bring up, but the fact that nobody knows you is a much more powerful weapon then the Earthbound Immortals right now. If you want to give that up, that's fine, but you better beat the signer too. Anyways, this is all Blood's decision, so I'll let him make the final call." Akio rested his head on his two hands and, once again, stared up at the ceiling.

At the top of one of the many skyscrapers inhabiting Neo Domino, a tall Ukrainian man was crouched by a wall, with a large rifle resting on the wall. As he eyed the scope and found his target, a seemingly blind motorcyclist, he pulled the trigger. As the bullet hit its target and the motorcycle veered into an antique clock shop, the Ukrainian smiled and said, in an impressive voice, "Too easy."

Throwing his equipment into his bag he left, taking the stairs down a couple of floors until he was able to take the elevator. As the elevator reached the ground floor, he stepped out and walked towards the sight of the crashed motorcycle. The authorities had already arrived and were checking the dead man for identity. As one of the officers spoke to his superior, the Ukrainian man caught the words "Kurai Aruji" as the lesser officer checked the ID card. The superior officer looked from the dead body to the wrecked clock shop and, while slowly pulled out a pair of sunglasses said, "Looks like he's," he placed his sunglasses on and continued, "Out of time." These words brought a smile to the Ukrainian man's face and as he strode by a music store, the sound of The Who was clearly audible.

MEANWHILE, AT THE LAIR OF THE DARK SIGNERS!

Al sat himself down and looked distinctly happy with what was going on. A party was just the thing to lighten the tone, even if it was essentially a recon mission. "Well guys," he said so everyone could hear him, "How's this party going down? I mean, are we going strictly reconnaissance with it or are we going to take at least one of them down?"

"You're not even the one I want gone!" Tovee scoffed at Renee, before turning back to Akio, "And you... now you say the plan is to run straight into the iceberg? REALLY??"

Tovee was still adamant that Simonachi was going to screw this plan up one way or another. But at the same time, it seemed like it was bound to hit all the right notes and succeed. Perhaps it was just the way Akio worded it.

"I just don't know anymore," after a brief sigh, Tovee turned to Blood to whisper in his ear, "Boss, if you do decide go along with this plan, there's another Sector Security briefing that'll take place tomorrow, and I'll definitely have to go there. It'll be the last one for a while, and probably the only chance I'll get for a new uniform. And I badly need one 'cause... well... I could... literally... peel this one off if I wanted too... and also I'll have something to masquerade as..." Tovee sunk her head in shame as she finished this last sentence.

Akio had a light smile on his face. "Tovee, you'll be sitting this party out. I need your talents elsewhere. I want you to send a few of the grunts from sector security to the party. Afterwords, I need you to do a bit of recon. Make sure you know where the signers live, then check to make sure the reportings are still accurate." Akio walked towards Tovee and whispered in her ear, "I know you want me dead, but so do I. Listen to what I say and I can make your wish come true." He then began to walk out of the building. "Al, you're coming with me. I need you for something. I hope you like making a lot of money in a small amount of time. I've chosen you to be the 'Rich friend' of mine."

"I'll wait here then, after all, it is true that me remaining hidden is an advantage and the more advantages we have, the quicker we can get this over with so I can go back to being dead rather than being here and alive." The purple fire washed her face again, allowing her skull like purple marks to reapear on her face before letting it disperse again. Once back to looking fully like a dark signer, Renee once again grabbed out her Earthbound Immortal and sat looking at it, even while listening to the conversation around her.

Standing up and stretching, Al gave a short laugh. After he was done stretching, he said, "Well, if there's something I love more than... Okay, I've got nothing but still, I'm up for this." As he finished he jogged over to Akio then matched his pace. Looking at Akio, a thought lit his mind up. Deciding he wasn't going to get anywhere keeping it inside, he asked, "What am I actually going to be doing? Apart from standing around looking handsome, and on the subject of looking handsome." He engulfed himself in flames and set himself back to his normal clothing, then said, "It'd probably be best if you did that as well. If, by some freak chance, a Signer catches enough of a glance of us while we're on our way to wherever, this plan might end up a failure."

"Hm." Akio took off his dark signer robes, revealing a white tux. From his tux pocket he pulled out a small white mask that covered the upper portion of his face. He pulled a comb out and straightened his hair. He looked like an entirely different person. "You'll become my new business manager. You won't be doing anything, of course. So yes, you're here to stand still, essentially. I just need a few powerful friends before we take on the signers." He put the comb back inside of his pocket. From behind him, his dark signer robes slowly dissentegrated into a black, plasma-like substance. "I want to let you in on a secret. This masquerade serves more than just one purpose. I'm going to give the signers horrible publicity." Akio gave a smile as he glanced towards Al, "We'll look like the good guy, and the humans will lead themselves into their own destruction."

"Nice. What kind of publicity? Because, to be honest, the only kind of bad publicity is criminal activities, and unless we're going to trick them into stealing something or murdering someone, I've got no clue how that'll go down. Oh, and," Al pulled his own mask out of the flames before saying, "What business am I managing exactly? If I've got no clue what I'm doing and someone actually asks me something, assuming they know I'm managing this 'business', I'll be stumped and look incredibly foolish. And that," Al pushed the mask onto his face and finished with, "isn't tolerable."

"Since when were you in charge?" Tovee asked Akio spitefully, before seriously thinking about his orders, 'Hold on, this'll give me a chance to hunt down Simonachi after all! Why didn't I think about this earlier?'

Remembering to take her new deck with her, Tovee turned back to where she parked her Duel Runner. Evidently, a mass of Sector Security officers had parked there Duel Runners alongside.

"Alright, you jackasses, listen up!" Tovee scolded, holding up a picture of Akio that she somehow managed to take the whole time, "This kid here is having a masquerade party and he's invited all the big cheeses of the whole city. His name is Akio Nyuhara. You, you, you, you and you, look up where he lives and get your asses in there when the party starts. You, look up the following names: Arashi Idane, Ivan Tatsu, Dorian Abram, James Kirano, Aiden Shuuryou and Daisuke Minari. Download their exact coordinates and send them to Akio ASAP! The rest of you, stock up on ammo and crap; you're all coming with me. Now... where are you, Simon?"

"The business is a simple one. It's simply stock investing. I'm sure you'll do fine, you don't even need to have much information about it. If you ever get stumped..." Akio put a headpiece on Al's ear, "Just repeat the question, and I'll answer it." Akio smiled. He looked at the mansion that was his house. "Well, here we are, Akio manor." He whistled as a dog ran up to him. From the collar, he grabbed a special key inside. He opened the door with the key, "Follow me, I want you to learn a few things about this house." He walked through the house, prepared to show Al every secret entrance and hiding place in the building. He wanted to make sure that his plan had no loophole, clause, or anything within it.
