Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei shifted a bit so she could slowly wrap her arms around him and hug him tightly, sobbing into his Dark Signer uniform. The girl...woman...alien...robot...whatever she was...apparently didn't care that Al was a Dark Signer. "Please don't leave me alone..." She whispered, not looking at Al but instead still staring off with an expression of sorrow. It might have been directed at Al, but she also could have meant this "Itsu" person, whoever he or she was. However, would it be a good idea to introduce her to the other Dark Signers, especially if they found out what she could do?
The True Ace Attorney
Al sat back down properly and hugged Rei back. He never really was the best person or kindest person but he wouldn't leave someone in such a sorry state. "Come one now, you're okay. At least as far as physically goes, hopefully anyway. Oh lord, I'm crap at this. Look, Rei," Al gently pulled her arms off of himself and looked her in the face, "I'm not one to intrude into someone's business but you were muttering 'Itsu'. Who's Itsu? A friend?"
Magnet Soldier
Kurai smiled as he felt the ripples of wind blow past his ears, and felt the sparks of pain ripple through his body, but showed no visible signs of it. He drew his card and smiled again. He was about to place it on the field, but held back. He couldn't release it now. It'd reveal too much, and if it worked it could end up with Dorian dying. And he couldn't have that. There was too much blood on his hands already. He sighed and placed the card back in his hands and shrugged. "You're a good duelist. I'd be honoured to be your friend. Too bad i have things to do. I apologize, but I'm going to leave now." Kurai said, taking his deck out of the Duel disk and allowing it to fold up. He knew the holograms projected by the duel disks were blurry out of existence now aswell, and sighed. "I guess you could say I surrendered, so for the moment you can say you won against me. However, beating me and winning against me are entirely different things, so I'll be looking for a rematch the next time I see you. Remember my name. Kurai Aruji. Imprint it on your brain. And I promise, next time we meet I wont end it early like this. Next time, you're at my mercy." Kurai said, shoving his deck into it's pouch. He pressed a button on his gauntlet, and a clicking sound echoed nearby, and a Street bike(No, Not a Duel Runner. Dont like them) powered around the corner. "See you around kid." Kurai said, jumping onto a bike and planting his right arm(The one with the Gauntlet Dueldisk on) into a small compartment in the Bike, which connected him to a Camera in the front of the Bike, which implanted itself into the gauntlet, and through that into his nervous system, allowing him to see through the camera. He smiled at Dorian once as he powered the bike past him and around the corner, vanishing. ((The camera is not how he see's In duels. I forgot to say, but he can communicate with his deck in duels, and the deck tells him what the cards are in his hand, field and grave, and the visible stats of the opponent(The deck doesn't believe in cheating, so it doesn't tell him the layout of the deck).)) Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei sighed. "Itsu was...I guess my older sister would be the best way to describe it...She traveled to different worlds, like I do, but she helped to protect those worlds from threats beyond their own dimension or from destroying all of the multiverse, instead of what I do, traveling from alternate Earth to alternate Earth, wondering if those worlds deserve the gift I wish to bestow them. She died a while back, sacrificing herself to save the multiverse. In fact, her noble sacrifice is why I now have my current job. I just wish she was here to help me, because I have seen so many Earths fall short of what they needed to do!" She curled her hands into fists again, shaking. "She could forgive mankind for all of its transgressions, but I just see them as ignorant, stubborn brutes who only care about now and the short-term gains instead of worrying about how their actions, especially the long-term losses, will impact later generations! Humans just don't seem to ever learn!!!"
The True Ace Attorney
Al chuckled slightly and said, "I can totally get your anger. Humans aren't exactly the greatest race on the planet, probably reduced it's planet life expectancy quite a lot, but they are the only ones capable of changing what they've done. Even so, they aren't doing much. I guess you could look in short-term perspectives though. I mean, even if we aren't looking long-term, at least the consequences are never really fully felt later on because they do another short-term solution afterwards. It's sort of like a long-term solution. Anyway," Al gave his Tree Mark a little scratch, "it sounds like you're beating yourself up a little too much. Cheer up and enjoy life. Maybe should enjoy it twice as much as others. It'd mean a lot to me, I fell off the platform of the living a while a go so I can't really enjoy life any more. But saying that, I have no idea what I really am at the moment so maybe we can both enjoy life..." Al lost himself in thought. He wasn't exactly being supportive or cheery so he didn't really know what he expected to happen.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei realized that the things Al was saying were true. Humanity did seem to have a minority that did care about their planet and their civilization, though it was still a minority. She smiled and told him. "You remind me of a friend of Itsu's. She is an incredibly powerful Dark Signer, but she learned to control her inner darkness, rejecting her Earthbound Immortal and deciding live out her life the way she wanted to. Maybe, if I grant this world the gift, you might have a chance of meeting her." She then asked. "Do you think I could observe you and the other Dark Signers for a while? I have no interest in fighting the Signers with you, but I simply want to do what I am supposed to do: evaluate, and I see no better way to do this than to tag along with the people history has painted as the villains."
The True Ace Attorney
"If you really want to. They're not the most welcoming people. One has taken sadistic to the next level, one has some suicidal tendencies and the redheaded prat has some superiority issues... And me, of course. To be fair, even if we didn't have the creepy face paint, black eyes and evil magicians robes, I'm pretty sure we'd be marked as people you'd best stay away from anyway. But I digress, I'll head down, you most definitely can observe if you want. Either up here or down there." Al lifted himself up and headed down the stairs. TotalObelisk
Rika frowned slightly as Al left the room, giving him an odd look at his 'treasure' hunting comment. "My name is Rika, not Kira," she muttered darkly, not actually expecting him to hear her. She dropped her feet off the table and leant forwards to slouch on it instead. "So when's this Blood guy get here?" She asked "I'm not waiting forever to start the apocalypse or whatever." **** Aiya wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, she simply wandered through the center of the shopping disctrict, not really noticing where she was going. Rika still hadn't replied to her messages, neither had she seen her around her usual haunts in town. She stopped near the docks and squatted down, staring out across the ocean with a solemn look on her face. "Maybe she doesn't like me after all," she muttered glumly, hugging her knees and frowning.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei walked down with Al to meet the other Dark Signers, drying her eyes as she did so. She stopped a couple of feet away from the gathered group of resurrected duelists and smiled at them. "Hello. I am Rei Tousen, and I have been assigned to evaluate your version of Earth to see if it is worthy of an incredible gift, a gift that will make your world a much better place, but only if the inhabitants of this Earth meet a few specific requirements. I ran into Albus a while back, and he suggested that I tag along with you all to help with my survey. So, would you be willing to tell me a bit about yourselves?"
The True Ace Attorney
Al leaned towards Rei and whispered into her ear, "Prepare to be threatened with knives by her," Al pointed at Rika, waved and with a hearty smile on his face and said "Hey, Kira!" leaning back in towards Rei he continued whispering, "You probably shouldn't have said the words 'incredible gift' and the phrase 'make your world a better place' either. These guys aren't the happiest bunch." Al took a few steps away and sat by a wall. Taking a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, he put it in his mouth and lit it with some purple fire. With a smile on his face, he remarked, "This is the coolest power ever. Instant smoking!"
TotalObelisk
Rika looked up when Al returned, another girl accompanying him. Rika assumed she was just another Dark Signer before she spoke, letting out some speech about evaluating them for some gift or whatever. Rika raised an eyebrow as she finished, ignoring Al and his usual comments. "So...What. You wish Jehovah's witnesses or something?" She asked "Don't see why hanging about with a group like us is gonna get you anywhere. And what the hell is this 'gift' of yours anyway? Cause if it gets him over there to shut up..." She jabbed a thumb over at Al "Then I'd be more than interested. If not you're probably wasting your time." She rooted around in her sweet bag to see if she had any jelly beans left, find none she just poured the rest of the bag into her mouth. Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei handed Rika a bag full of assorted jelly beans, though why she had them and where the bag came from when her hands were empty a second ago was a mystery. "I cannot really tell you what the gift is. I have to show you." As she said this, her boots glowed and morphed so she now had wheel-like appendages on her legs. A strange futuristic Duel Disk appeared on her right arm. "I would be happy to take a few of you to the Annex to show you the gift I wish to give this world. It's just a short drive aways, and you might even be able to duel me on the way there."
Admiral_Stalfos19
Meanwhile, in a vast junkyard in the middle of nowhere, Simonachi Lervako sat on a piece of discarded machinery, gazing at a glooming sky. A cold breeze of wind ran through his spiky oil-coloured hair, which had already greyed at the roots despite him appearing to only be approximately 20 years of age. Perhaps he was in truth far more aged than anyone had realized. Dust got into his right eye, but his left was protected by a piece of glass that was also there to amplify its diminishing sight. Simonachi also had a mark all over his neck and up to his chin, to symbolize that he had spent some time in The Facility. Usually such marks were yellow in colour, but this one was a deep silver. Perhaps it changed due to the environment, or maybe Simonachi was given this mark for committing a much more serious crime than those that other prisoners were sent to The Facility for. But he had to escape, for he sensed something evil was amiss. Turning to a Duel Runner that was in the distance, Simonachi placed various pieces of a bronze metal on his body. These acted makeshift shin guards, knee pads, boots, shoulder pads and a chest plate. However, he only merely managed to draw near it before he heard some familiar-sounding sirens. A Sector Security Officer was on his or her way, and was approaching at high speeds. Simonachi jumped on, and started to move, after taking one glance through his entire Deck. TotalObelisk
Rika eyed the new bag with a puzzled and surprised expression, givie Rei a funny look before popping one of the sweets into her mouth and chewing before she decided that they were in fact genuine, though she was a tad confused as to where they come from given that Rei didn't seem to have any immediately obvious pockets. "Okay, she can stay," she commented. She tossed another sweet into her mouth, watching Rei with interest as she apparently transformed, albiet slight. "Wait, you mean one of those riding turbo duel things right?" She asked, not actually being in possession of a D-Wheel "Wouldn't your cards go flying out of your hand or something?"
The True Ace Attorney
"Sure, why not?" Al pulled himself up and walked around a bit. After playing around a little with the purple flames, he clicked his fingers and, in a burst of flames, his Dark Signer Duel Runner appeared. "Seriously, this fire stuff is awesome. I wonder how far it's usefulness stretches though..." Climbing on and giving the engine a little rev, he looked at Rika and said, "Cards flying out of hand? Doubt that very much. Considering that Duel Runners are made for Turbo Duels, there shouldn't be a problem and I doubt Rei would suggest it if it would be a hassle for her." Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei grinned as her Duel Disk activated, but in a very interesting manner. The "blade" turned out to be a frame for a field of pink energy to project itself on. "Normally, there are card holders, but where I come from we use technology that is a bit...different..." She motioned to the energy field of her Duel Disk. "This is a stasis field. I can place cards inside, and they will be perfectly safe." She also indicated to a smaller stasis field near her hand. "And this is where my hand goes. The Deck slot has a similar field." Curiously, she had a second Deck slot on the opposite side of her normal Deck, but this one seemed much bigger than her normal Deck. TotalObelisk
"Uhuh, you don't say," Rika replied, eyeing Rei's duel disk.....Or whatever it was "Does every universe play card games or are you just that crazy prepared?" She hopped to her feet again, pocketing the back of jelly beans Rei had given her and giving Al's D-Wheel a brief glance. "Anyway, next question," she continued "What're you gonna do when your 'readheaded prat' friend comes back to find you've left to take a ride on your D-Wheel with some random girl from another dimension? You just gonna leave a note or something?" She gave Rei's duel disk another look, finding herself secretely curious about it. Aiya definitely didn't have one of those. galesonic
Dorian looked at the leaving Kurai in confusion. One thing kept coming to his mind: How can a blind guy know how to drive a motorcycle. Not only did this kept going into his mind but this 'win' he had. It felt it was forced rather than what it should be. The excitment it should bring was hollow. "Kurai..." he said to himself. "Fine then. Once we duel each other again, we'll settle this." he then thought about his deck. He didn't get enough out of it and he still wanted to go to the undeground duels, besides the pain he got from the last duel, which is still a bit weird. "I'll check the docks. Must be there." he said as he started walking there. One thing you have to hate about underground dueling: you never know where the next one's going to be. The True Ace Attorney
"Ah, yes... A note would be best." Al contemplated Rika's words and climbed off of his Duel Runner. Walking over to the biggest wall, he muttered, "Let's see if this works!" and slammed his hands against it. Slowly, but surely, veins of purple flame spread themselves across the wall and left the message: Blood, Gone off on a little trip, Call us if you need us, Sincerely, Al (AKA The Guy With The Tree On His Arm) Looking pleased with himself, he climbed back onto his Duel Runner and turned to Rei and Rika, "This is definitely the most helpful thing ever. Now, are we going to head off?"
Daisuke28
It was a boring Day for Daisuke. He was sitting in the grass looking at the sky. He was whistling because he had nothing to do beside thinking what he could do tomorrow or the same day, later on. He took his duel disk. It was yellow with black and white details on the borders. It was very similar to the original duel disk, but modified. And put it in his arm while he took his deck out of his pocket. He put it in the duel disk and he decided to stand up. He started shuffling the deck and getting some practice hands. Its been a while since he had a real duel, and also... Its been the first time he had this new Synchro monster. It was a dragon but it had something appealing to it, and he had it on his free hand staring at it for a while. "... This cards seems so intriguing... I wonder where it came from, and wonder why if it picked me..." He said with a big Sigh. He started walking aimlessly with his dueldisk on his arm while he thought about the origins of the Dragon. Premier Alexander Romanov
Rei shook her head. "The gift is only being offered to worlds in the Duel Monsters multiverse, so dueling is a given." She then watched as Al created the "note" on the wall, and approved. "Good job, but I regret to inform you that, where we are going, your cell phone won't work until we get back." She then turned to Rika. "Do you need a Duel Runner, or would you like for me to supply one for you? I can also loan you a Duel Frame equipped with a Duel Arms, or just a Duel Arms, if that is your preference."
King of Nothing
"Oh." Akio found the entrance to the new base and walked in. He was pulled there by darkness, so he knew where to go. When he walked in, a group of people were talking. He figured they must have been dark signers and, not wanting a conflict, didn't bother to talk to them. He grabbed a cigarette from his pocket and went for his lighter, when he realized he didn't bring it. Dammit, he thought to himself, I need a light. He just sighed and stared at the conflict that seemed to be building.
The True Ace Attorney
"Rei, you seem to be forgetting who you are talking too." lifting his arm in a dramatic fashion, he revealed his Dark Signer Mark and said, "Why do you think that there are a load of Dark Signers here? Okay, cell phones would work, but it's not like Blood knew our numbers already. Oh, and there's no need to worry about Kira needing a Duel Runner, we seem to get them, red face paint, robes and creepy arm tattoos as standard... It really doesn't make a whole bunch of sense to be honest..."
TotalObelisk
Rika rolled her eyes as Al punched his message into the wall, apparently not having noticed she was being sarcastic. Somebody tell me who chose such a moron to be a Dark Signer, she thought to herself On second thoughts, I actually don't want to know. She ignored Al and his comedy routine for the moment and turned her attention to Rei again, her interest piqued. "Duel Frame as in what you've got there?" She asked "And you just pull that crap out of thin air?" **** Aiya was still sat in the same spot as before, staring blankly ahead of her at the sea without actually seeing it. She leaned back slightly, trying to force herself out of her self-sorrow and actually think about getting home. She was about to stand up when she head the sound of someone approaching, though why anybody would be wandering around the docks at this time was a mystery to her. She turned her head about to look, her sorrow temporarily forgotten in place of her curioisty but still very much obvious.
Daisuke28
Daisuke continued walking, without paying much attention to his surroundings. He could be anywhere by now, but he was to concentrated in thinking what he will do later. So much that he almost falls into the water. He recover his balance and starts laughing while he fell back. "That was rather close... I should pay Atte...." He said when he looked around. He really had no idea where he was. He usually didnt do this, but there was something that was eating his brains out. something that he didnt understand with this card. He started looking everywhere to see if there was someone around. Still with duel disk in hand, he sighs and continues to look for someone.
