legolover09
Oh, and another question for Luxray. I was wondering if we all could start catching pokemon. If so, is there a limit to the amount of pokemon we can have right now? Because I really want Alexander to catch a pokemon now/soon. And then later on, a few gyms (if he does gyms) down the road, he gets in trouble for not having a license.

Master Red
@the Surf thing. Shouldn't all water type pokémon know it naturally? LIke all flying pokémon would know Fly naturally? Of course you would only be able to fly with large birds and I guess you would only be able to surf with larger creatures as well :S
Magnet Soldier
Didn't we already discuss the surf thing? And anyway, red, you dont have to worry about it. In out group, we're gonna have a Blastoise and a Rhydon/Rhyperior, so there's two large Pokémon that learn Surf. And it doesn't matter about the size(as long as you dont mind getting wet). In the First Movie, Ash sorta has Squirtle pull him along, so I guess you could class that as surf. And the flying, in pokémon ranger(1) he just hangs onto the leg of a Fearow, flying like that, so again, as long as they're strong pokémon, it doesn't matter about size. And for My group, I'm planning on getting an Altaria or Skarmory anyway.
Master Red
I realized that Ash surfed with squirtle in the movie after I posted but I didn't have time to edit lol. Yeah I guess that works with surfers at least. When I talked about size on the birds I guess I meant birds that are strong enough to carry a trainer with them. I mean even though a butterfree would know fly naturally (I mean... it flies) it would never be able to carry a trainer due to it being to small and weak. I might have a farfetch'd (that you can fly with in the games) but seriously, come one, there's no possible way for that little duck to able to carry a trainer into the air and I'm not worried, I'll have a Taurus, a Miltank and A Bauffron (I think that was how you spelled it) on my team and if I'm not mistaken all of those can learn Surf I wont have a flyer though, I might even just have four pokémon on Jesse's team (rapidash, taurus, miltank and bauffron) but even if I have five I don't think any of them would be a bird :/
Quiksilver
TMs and HMs will not be included in this game. This will be like the anime, in which Pokemon learn such things naturally- however, to keep things from becoming too wild, I must insist that you talk to me first before changing your Pokemon's moves, so I can make sure it's not like they're learning Hyper Beam or something. Other than that, you can choose whatever moves you want- as long as they are actual moves your Pokemon can learn and, also, they are level approriate- i.e., I will be all over your case if you make a Squirtle know Hydro Pump. Yes, we can start catching Pokemon- however, you must have Poke Balls in order to do so. Keep that in mind- I will take away your Pokemon if you're current Inventory doesn't have any Poke Balls in it. (That's what I'm calling that section where I keep track of all your Money and Items- the Inventory.) You can also have 6 Pokemon with you at a time, just like the game, though you can store other Pokemon in a PC, which shall be in every Pokemon Center. (Hmm, that might be a good quest later on- we all put our Pokemon in the PC but they it crashes, and we have to find out why to get our Pokemon back...)Pichu, I added Mawwy and Titanix. [/quote] To the bolded part, Squirtle can actually learn Hydro pump, and faster than Blastoise or Wartortle(Wartortle learns it at 48, Blastoise 60, Squirtle 40), you just have to avoid Evolving, and train for a loooooooong time. Quiksilver
I meant at this current level- Squirtle will be learning Bubble and Water Gun at this level. Thanks for the Pokemon lesson though- I never knew Squirtle could learn Hydro Pump.
Magnet Soldier
People just assume that you have to evolve pokémon, but realistically Charmander could learn Fire Blast, and Bulbasaur could learn Solar Beam(In fact, in the anime he does). The evolved forms are cooler though. If we get the chance, I may get girl squirtle, and keep her as a squirtle while my squirtle now evolves. Master Red
Evolutions are mostly ugly IMO. I knew squirtle could learn hyrdo pump as I think Blastoise is a fat bastard and wartortle isn't really as cute I'm kind of the pre-evo/not fully evolved expert in a way. In silver (my first game) I kept my starter as a quilava because I hated typhlosion, quilava is still my favorite pokémon ever :3 in sapphire I had a grovoyle (because sceptile is horrible D:) and in FR/LG I can start with whichever but will never evolve them fully. Squirtle and Bulbasaur never evolves while Charmander gets to evolve into supercool Charmeleon! *.*
Magnet Soldier
I'll admit that Quilava and Grovyle were much cooler than their evos, but how could you think Charmeleon is cooler than Charizard!? And dont start a rant on how Charmeleon is underrated(It appeared for what, 2 episodes before it evolved again? in the anime of course). It is an Awesome Pokémon, I just think Charizard is much cooler.
Master Red
Charizard is a dragon with a potbelly. Charmeleon is an ubercool slash machine :3 IDK, I never got the whole charizard hype and I've always liked Charmeleon better (even when I thought its name was Char-MELON ) I just tend to like first stage and mid stage pokémon more for the most part. I don't care that they won't be as strong and stuff, I wont evolve something into something I consider ugly :/

Master Red
Reading Kirby's post made me think. How would one evolve Eevee into Leafeon/Glaceon, the rocks don't exist at the islands. Leaf Stone for Leafeon (which I thik SHOULD have been the proper way for it anyways) and... nevermeltice for Glaceon? :S

Spartan919
...LeafStone sounds about right for Leafeon. Glaceon...no idea; maybe a WaterStone and something else??? By the way, I still have one Pokemon; I really need to catch a Pokemon or two.
Quiksilver
The name "Spacix" doesn't feel like it fits Steelix's evo, so I used the second one. Also, that image looks like a Steelix itself, and the whole idea of you needing to time the evos is a little weird for me- also, I'd rather not have Steelix have two evos. So, sorry, but I can only accept one of them.
