Three Figures stood, Cloaked in Brown, Blue and Green Robes from Left to right. Around them, the Only light embedded within Granite; Veins of pure nothness glowing in Patterns of Circuit's. They faced to the shadows, where nothing else could be seen execpt for a Outline of a Mysterious Entity. behind, The light converged into a Outline of a Rectange, Within it was Arcane Text of which no mortal could Decyther and a Strange Cross with Circle Seal within the center. The Entity in the shadows turned around, Still shrouded and Raised his Right hand to align with the Smoove Granite Floor. It rummbled and Crackeled as the Gap between the Robed Figures and the Entity within the shadows opened. It became clear as a Wirlpool of Nothiness opened up. It was not Transparent, but yet it held no True colour; Just Warping the Granite's dark colours and Mixing them with the Variety of a Rainbow. There, it swirled faster and faster until a Vision opened within its Center. Kugena City.

"Agreed." The shadowed Figure palm began to glow wildly, Firing a bolt of Light into the Wirlpool...

Zero looked around. He was in some ruins from who-knows how long ago. There was a large, purple dome of aura emanating from somewhere within the ruins. "So this is where that strange aura was coming from..." Zero said to himself. He approached the ruins, getting a darker feel with every step he took towards the darkened semi-sphere. "What's with this aura? It feels dark... Sinister, almost." Zero thought. He took a few steps further, coming into a great hall of sorts. At the end, he could see what appeared to be some glyphs etched into the edge of the purple dome. "There it is." Zero noted to himself. "Can't just let something like this stick around... This thing has too much evil coming off of it." Zero said. He pulled out a card, and rolled off his left-hand glove. The card gently floated into the air, a few inches above Zero. The mark on the back of his hand began to glow, as did the card. "Raging red moon... Dispel that which seeks to dethrone you." Zero chanted. "Hear the cries of what lies in your wake, and silence them forever more." Zero continued. The dark aura of the dome began to dissipate, seeping out of the ruins. After the process had finished, Zero continued deeper into the ruins, where he felt a second, even more sinister aura. "Jesus, what's with this place?" Zero thought. He walked until he came into another great hall, this one larger, grander, with only faint lights coming from randomly arranged candles. Zero immediatly felt another presence in the hall. "And you're supposed to be...?"

A feminine scream echoed through the hall, and something whizzed past Zero and hit the stone floor hard, rolling for a bit before stopping. It appeared to be a girl with red hair tied into a braid who was wearing a strange black and pink suit, but she was heavily injured, and looked to be either unconscious or...
Another figure emerged from the shadows, this one a beautiful woman with icy-blue eyes, platinum-blonde hair with red, blue, yellow, and black highlights and streaks, and three sets of bangs on the side of her face of red, yellow, and blue, and black tips on the bangs above her head. She as dressed in a light grey outfit with many black belts and shiny silver buckles that appeared to have been created out of a straightjacket. She smiled as she saw Zero. "Hello, sweetie. Thank you for freeing me from this prison. Your puny little mortal mind wouldn't be able to comprehend how long I have been here. Now, would you do me a favor and kill that girl over there?"

Zero turned to watch the red-haired girl tumble past him, paying no heed to the other voices around him. He then turned to face the other woman. "So you're the source of that dark aura, huh?" Zero said. "I'm not impressed. Couldn't you have been... Oh, I don't know, a little flashier with your entrance? I mean, is it too much to ask for some kinda light show or something?" Zero mused. He then glanced back at the red-haired girl again. "What, kill her? Why, she owe you something?" Zero continued his little jokes. "I couldn't care less what she did to you, if anything. What I do care about is why you have such a dark aura." Zero said. "Don't worry, I've seen this before. You keep saying I've got no idea what I'm up against, and that I'm in over my head, yada yada yada." Zero stated, now more serious. "But listen here, sweet cheeks. I've got a few things of my own." Zero said, now showing this opposed his Lunar Mark. "Ever seen one of these before? Yeah, I thought not." Zero continued ranting, putting his glove back on. He activated his Duel Disk, and his deck shuffled automatically. "That's how everything get's settled, right? Through dueling?" Zero said. He turned back to the girl behind him once more. "There's something familiar about her... Who is she, I wonder?" Zero thought. Turning his attention once more to the insane-looking woman in front of him. "I'll take you on." Zero said, grinning.

And Faze drove in their path, but then noticed them and stopped. "Hey! Kyza!" She called in a feminine version of Yusei's voice, although her white Yusei-like helmet covered her face, so neither of them had any way to recognize her. "We've met before! What are you doing-" And then she noticed another woman, who she didn't recognize. "Huh? Whaaaaaat???? A being of darkness? Oh well. I'd destroy you now, but I don't have the time. Mission here. To investigate. And stuff. Say, my name is Faze Emirroveon! Nice to meet you! Bye!" And she drove off, when she suddenly disappeared. Apparently, she was invisible while driving, but whether it was due to a cloaking device or her speed was actually that fast, it was impossible to tell.

Akira. wearing a hooded cloak, silently entered the ruins, coming upon Zero and the two women. One glance along with his glowing Lunar Mark immediately notified Akira of the woman's dark presence. "That other one....Zero..." he thought, staring intently on the figure who had just brandished his duel disk. With a sudden movement, Akira raised his left arm, revealing the glowing Lunar mark as a white veil surrounded it. He snapped, directing his fingers at the woman with the dark aura. Immediately, an explosive bullet of Lunar Energy zipped across the ruins, pinpointed straight at the woman. As the attack fired, Akira's hood blew off.

Strangely, the woman seemed to be right in the path of the attack, but for the split-second before the attack would have hit her right in the face, it instead went through empty space, and the woman was standing a couple of feet to the right. For some reason, the red-haired girl had moved the same amount as well, as if she whatever caused her to be thrown had also shifted a few feet to the right as well. In fact, it dawned on everyone that the woman HAD been standing there the whole time! For some reason, Akira had decided to shoot a few feet to the left of where she was standing!
The woman grinned. "That was a sample of my power. My mother can travel through space in time in both body, mind, and spirit thanks to her amulet, but I have an even more devastating ability. At any moment, I can synchronize my mind with my mind at any other moment in time, up to a few months. I did so, informing my past self of the attack, causing my past self to move aside a few feet before throwing Rei and initiating this chain of events. I call this ability 'Psycorrect'."

"Interesting ability you got there." Zero remarked. "Reminds me of an old friend of mine..." Zero said, turning to Akira. "Glad you could make it to the party." Zero said. He then turned back to his opposer once more. "Well, now that everyone seems to be here, let's get this started. You and I got a duel, right?" Zero asked. "Akira, get that girl out of here. She needs rest." Zero told Akira, not even turning to face him. "Now, one thing I want to keep clear here... You won't be using that power in our duel. Otherwise, I won't hesitate to use my own powers." Zero declared. "Altering time doesn't usually affect Lunar Energy, so you must be fairly powerful, at the very least." Zero scoffed. "Now then... Let's go." Zero said.

"That was quite the greeting, Katashi-san" Akira teased, quickly rushing to the girl. He touched the girl and they disappeared, reappearing about 40 feet back. "Now, to get to work on her..." Akira thought as the white veil reappeared around his fingers. He placed his finger on the ground as the white aura crawled up the girl, closing up all her wounds. "Well, that should be enough for this as of right now...she's not in any kind of danger..." he muttered, taking out his duel disk. He pointed it towards Zero and the woman as a compartment slid open, revealing a micro-camera. It glinted for a moment, and focused in. "I should be able to see what's going on from here..." he thought.

The red-haired girl slowly opened her eyes to see Akira and she softly asked. "What happened? How did you get here?"

The silver-haired woman generated a Duel Disk that looked like it was made from some sort of demonic meat cleaver, with the actual Deck holder being a strange distorted skull. "I will duel you, but let me just set the parameters. If you lose, both of you must kill the girl, then kill each other. If you win, you must still kill the girl, but you may walk away with your lives intact. If you fail to comply to these rules, I will kill all three of you. Do I make myself perfectly clear?" Either this woman was totally off of her rocker, or incredibly dangerous. She had already proven that she can alter the course of events to her favor. She could easily kill them...but why did she need them specifically to kill this girl?

Zero was about to argue against such ridiculous terms, but he suddenly sensed another dark aura; This time, coming from within his deck. Zero's eyes focused in and out for a second, before going completely blank, void of life. His eyes reverted a split-second later. "Alright, we'll play it your way. But since someone's dying either way, I'll start us off..." Zero said, drawing six cards. "I'll set a monster and two cards face-down. Turn end." Zero said, as three holograms appeared for about 3 seconds, before fading. "I've dealt with people like you, before. You think yourself more powerful than you really are... That will be your downfal." Zero said.

"I arrived here not too long ago" Akira explained. "But when I did arrive, you were lying unconscious, so I took you back here - it's too dangerous to be near their quarrel" he whispered. "But to answer your question, I had received some distress signal from somewhere around here, so I used my Lunar Mark to cut a portal into this dimension" he stated as he retracted his arm back under his cloak. "But you shouldn't worry about things like that right now; you should focus more on resting...What did that woman do to you?" he asked softly.

Pandora pulled out her deck, but she placed in in mid-air as a floating plane of energy appeared at waist height for her. She drew her cards and watched Zero take his turn impassively. "I will draw, and I play Terraforming, allowing me to search my Deck for Brink of Insanity and add it to my hand, which I will now activate."

Brink of Insanity
Spell/Field
Every time a Psychic-Type monster's effect makes a player pay Life Points or lose Life Points, except when Effect Damage is inflicted, you may half the Life Points loss or payment. If the Psychic-Type monster is an "Insanity" monster, you may draw 1 card. As long as you control an "Insanity" monster, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.

The ruins around them disappeared to reveal...well...it was hard to say. Everyone, except Pandora and her floating friends, was suddenly disoriented and off-balance, like they had just spun around for several minutes. Objects were out-of-focus, and strange psychedelic colors washed over everything. Then, surreal images of their worst fears started flashing in their fields of vision every now and then, but the images were different for each person.
"I then play Fallacy of Insanity." The woman continued, apparently unaffected by what was happening to everyone else.

Fallacy of Insanity
Spell/Quick-Play
During the turn this card was activated, when an "Insanity" monster battles, you may pay 1000 Life Points. If so, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.

"I will now Normal Summon Paranoia - Insanity Traitor in Attack Position." She declared as she placed a Monster Card on her field.

Paranoia - Insanity Traitor
DARK/Psychic/Tuner/4/0/0
This monster cannot be Tributed or used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon or Synchro Summon of an "Insanity" monster. This monster cannot be destroyed as a result of battle. This monster's battle position cannot be changed, except with a card effect. Once per turn, you may pay 1000 Life Points to give this card to your opponent.

A strange, bald, skinny, pale man appeared on the woman's side of the field. All he had on was a loincloth, spiked black chains wrapped around his abnormally skinny torso and arms, a blindfold with red blotches where the eyes would be, and a white ball gag with a red strap. However, on closer inspection, the ball gag turned out to be an eye, and the strap the cord, and the hand had eyes placed inside of his palms and where his nipples would be. Zero and Akira suddenly felt this overwhelming fear wash over them as they thought about what would happen if Zero lost? They would be forced to kill each other, but would they uphold the bargain? Would Zero just kill Akira, or would Akira only kill Zero?!? And what about the strange figures behind the woman?!? They were in on this too!!! They had to get away from this monster, or she would kill them!!! (0 ATK)
"Paranoia is a terrible thing to have. You lose the ability to trust anyone, even your closest friends. Allies start to look like enemies, everything around you seems suspicious, and you feel the need to protect yourself and yourself only. You betray yourself, just like this monster will betray you. I will pay 500 Life Points, and I will draw a card, to give you Paranoia."
The monster seemed to blur, but he reappeared on Zero's side of the field, now revealing that he had eyes on his shoulder blades and a skull-like face on the back of his head, its eyes staring into Zero's. (??????: 3500 LP)
"Now I activate Warning Signs of Insanity."

Warning Signs of Insanity
Spell/Continuous
During your Main Phase, if you control no face-up Psychic-Type monsters, you may pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Psychic-Type monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If the monster is an "Insanity" monster, you may gain 1000 Life Points instead.

"This allows me to Special Summon Pyromania - Insanity Inferno in Attack Position."

Pyromania - Insanity Inferno
DARK/Psychic/4/1900/900
You may pay 1000 Life Points to inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points and destroy 1 card on the field. You may activate this effect during either player's turn.

Another humanoid figure appeared, this time wrapped in black bandages that were loose enough to reveal charbroiled skin. The man underneath all of these bandages was nothing more than a charred skeleton, but he had bandoliers and packs full of explosives, plus two cans of gasoline were chained to his arms. Akira and Zero suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to see something burn or explode in glorious brilliance, and they wanted to see it now. Maybe this creature would satisfy them. (1900 ATK) (???????: 4500 LP)
"Pyromania is when you feel the overwhelming desire to see something burn or explode, not caring for the safety of yourself or others. It is, ironically, a burning passion, a lust for this wonderful thing called fire that feeds off of your soul. This dangerous, deadly passion is illustrated by my monster's effect. I can pay 500 Life Points and draw a card to inflict 1000 points of damage to you and destroy a card on your side of the field."
Pyromania slowly reached for a Molotov cocktail, lit it, then threw it at Zero's face-down monster, but he didn't care. He was eagerly waiting for it to explode. Finally, it did, detonating and consuming Zero's monster in beautiful flame. (Zero: 3000 LP) (???????: 4000 LP)
"I will use this effect two more times, destroying your other face-down cards."
Two more Molotovs exploded, and Zero could not do anything about it, since he was so enraptured in the spectacle. (Zero: 1000 LP) (???????: 3000 LP)
"Now I will attack your Paranoia with my Pyromania, paying 1000 Life Points to activate Fallacy's effect."
Pyromania reached for a pair of matches and lit them, then threw the matches into the gasoline tanks, setting the skeletal embodiment on fire. He charged wildly at Paranoia, about to destroy the last of Zero's Life Points. (???????: 2000 LP)

"Urgh... Gotta stay focused..." Zero thought. His surroundings were distorted, and he could surely tell what was happening. He saw himself hit the ground, on fire, and dead. He saw the ruins around him burning. But a few seconds later, a sharp, blue light pierced his vision, dispelling the field's curse. His vision returned, and bs found himself inside the ruins once more. His Lunar Mark was now glowing strongly. However, his Life Points were almost depleted, nearing 0. Nearing death. He took the full force of the attack, but merely grinned as his Life Points hit Zero. His Lunar Mark faded for only a second, but quickly illuminated. This time, though, it was a red color. A dark aura surrounded Zero, and began to seep into a card in his hand. Zero took this card, and placed it on his Duel Disk. "Feel the pain that resides within me... Witness it, live it, relive it... Be immersed in this endless cycle of pain! Fall into oblivion! Now... Come, Obliva Mephisto!" Zero chanted. A chain, tipped by a large, 3-pronged hook, shot down from the ceiling. The moment it hit the ground, a powerful dark aura erupted. It encompassed where the chain had struck the ground, turning the ground a red and black color, smoking, almost. The chain slowly lifted up, until the edge emerged. The sight was amazing. The hook had dragged up a massive creature. Its entire head, save for one eye on its left side, was covered in bandages, as were its arms. These arms were crossed, wrapped by more chains which had extruded from the ground. There was a funny-looking shell around its back, wrapping around the sides as well. The creature stood tall, now released from the grip of the first chain. (Zero's LP: 0) "This... Is the power of the Dark Leon - Obliva Mephisto." (ATK: 3200/DEF: 1700)
Dark Leon - Obliva Mephisto
Level 10/ATK: 3200/DEF: 1700/Fiend/DARK
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or set. This card can only be Special Summoned when your Life Points would become 0. Instead, your Life Points become 1000. Once per turn, you can place an Oblivion counter on this card (max 5), OR remove 5 Oblivion Counters from this card to destroy every monster on the field. Once per turn, you can select a monster on the field, and roll a die. If the result is a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, halve the ATK of that monster. If the result is a 6, send that monster to the Graveyard. You nay no conduct your Battle Phase if you activated this effect.
"My turn, Draw." Zero said dully. His Lunar Mark was still glowing a faint, blood-red color, and Obliva howled. "Dark Leon - Obliva Mephisto's effect activates. Each turn, I can place an Oblivion counter on him." Zero said, as the dark aura surrounding the snarling humanoid intensified. "Next, I'll activate Obliva's effect. This effect will diminish or destroy your monster." Zero said, as a dark field surrounded Obliva's eye. The field suddenly exploded, as did the other monster. Obliva was unharmed, but the doll was in pieces. "Looks like I was lucky this time... Seeing I can't battle now, I'll set three cards. Turn End." Zero said, three holograms appearing by his side. "Your tricks... This thing you call 'Insanity'... I've got a reading from you. You lost everything. You had everything you could've wanted, and lost it. You had nothing left, and after long enough, that deprivation and temptation took you, and made you what you are now." Zero said. "Am I right? Hmph, either way... I still have something to hold onto. Someone's waiting for me, back in my own time, in my own dimension. So, I'll finish the jobs that have to be done. Then, I'll go back to her." Zero said, eyes closed in memory. He then looked up at his opponent. "No one will keep me from that goal. Not you, not anyone else."

The mysterious woman flipped up a Trap Card. "I activate Reversal of Insanity."

Reversal of Insanity
Trap/Counter
Activate only when an "Insanity" monster is destroyed. Special Summon 1 "Insanity" monster from your Deck or Graveyard whose Level is either 1 Level higher or one Level lower than the Level of the destroyed "Insanity" monster. Then, you may pay 1000 Life Points to destroy a card on the field, then draw a card.

Delirium - Insanity Random
DARK/Psychic/Tuner/2/1100/500
Whenever you draw a card, you may then reveal the top card on your Deck to your opponent and declare what kind of card it is (Monster, Spell, or Trap). If you guess correctly, you may add it to your hand. If not, you must pay 1000 Life Points, then place it on the bottom of your Deck.

A strange masked jester appeared, but his clothes seemed to be constantly shifting colors, creating a very psychedelic experience. Plus, "he" was changing shape as well, randomly growing and losing extra limbs and changing body shapes and genders. But the golden mask on the jester's face always stayed the same. (1100 ATK)

"Hmph. I chain my Leomance Shield." Zero said, as Obliva's dark aura intensified once more. "Whenever a Leon monster I control would be destroyed by a card effect, my Leon isn't destroyed. Instead, if that monster had a counter on it, then I can proliferate it, and add on another. So, Obliva gains a second Oblivion Counter." Zero explained. "As my Leon was saved from destruction this protection, and not negation, your cost still applies." Zero said. He then pulled out a small necklace. On the end was a slice of Geode crystal. "...As I said. I remained sane through her help. She's waiting for me, so I won't let her down. This... This was a gift from her." Zero said, putting on the necklace. "So I keep remembering my own self. My own reality... And so I hold on."

A huge creature that appeared to be made out of junk rose up. Where its head would have been was an enormous television screen displaying Zero's face. On other televisions screens scattered around the golem's body were the faces of those Akira cared about, all of them babbling in some strange language that, if you listened closely, turned out to be incredibly fast English. "It makes no difference to me." Zero said. "My turn, draw." Zero said, as a die suddenly appeared. It hit the ground, with a result of 1. "It hardly matters to me." Zero said, as Obliva began to de-materialize, releasing many small glows of light, almost like fireflies. "And now I can activate this." Zero said. "Trap Card, Open. Leomance Remnants." Zero said, as a card flipped over, shooting out another light. At that moment, the moon appeared. "When a Leon monster I control is removed from the field, I can activate this card. It allows me to Special Summon a monster from my Extra Deck whose level is lower than the removed Leon. Since Obliva was a level 10, I can Special Summon a level nine monster. Now come, my ace monster!" Zero said, as his Lunar Mark tykes blue again, and and al arts dragon appeared from the light of the firefly-like orbs. "Arise, Crescent Shadow Dragon!" Zero called. (ATK: 3000)

Crescent Shadow Dragon:
Level 9/Dragon/Synchro/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2700/LIGHT
When this card is Synchro Summoned, you may add a number of Trap Cards from your deck to your hand equal to the number of non-tuner Synchro Material monsters used to summon this card. This card gains 100 ATK for every Trap Card in your Graveyard. This card cannot be removed from play.

"Now, I first set a card, then..." Zero began, as a slot from the side of his Duel Disk opened up. "...The world of purity, Clear World!" Zero declared, as he put the card into the Field Spell slot, which slid shut. The ruins faded. The ground was almost cloud-like, pure white in color. The sky was a deep blue, with the moon eclipsing the sun. There were four crystals around this, creating a form of arena. "Clear World is now in effect. As you control a Dark Attribute monster, you can no longer battle. As I control a Light Attribute monster, I must show my hand at all times. But, my hand is empty." Zero explained. "Now don't forget. There are currently 2 Trap cards in my grave. Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, and Leomance Remnants." Zero said. "Thus, Crescent Shadow Dragon becomes stronger." (ATK: 3200) "Turn End."

The woman drew her card and smiled. "Now, I activate Schizophrenia's effect." A dice appeared and rolled to reveal...a 4. "I appears we both lose 1000 Life Points. However, I can afford the loss, whereas you cannot. Goodbye, my friend. I will give your beloved my regards...before I kill her...By the way, did you introduce yourself? I am Pandora Atlas, the former Clown Princess, before I was locked away by my own mother and father for being a naughty girl and trying to recreate all of creation as I see fit. Of course, this information is meaningless since you are about to be killed."
The giant TV with Zero's face started to glow as it turned around to shoot a beam of pixelated light at Pandora, then slowly rotated to face Zero, charging up its attack as it did so.

"As I said... I can hold on, so long as she's still waiting for me." Zero said. "Reverse Card, open. Spirited Away." Zero said, as the second of two cards flipped over. "I remove a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, and gain Life Points equal to it's Attack. Then, you gain Life Points equal to that Monster's Defence. So, I'll remove the Fusion Tuner Monster, Novatosis Dragon." Zero said, as he regained 200 Life Points.

Novatosis Dragon
Level 3/Dragon/Fusion/Tuner/ATK: 200/DEF: 700/LIGHT

"Now, you'll gain 700 Life Points as well." Zero said, as his Life Points became a measly 200. "The Clear World will cleanse you of the insanity locked within that broken mind of yours. I'll save you... And keep you away from the darkness." Zero said. "Because there's a familiar feel about you. Does the name Jack Atlas ring a bell?" Zero asked.

Pandora sighed as she ended her turn, unable to do anything. "Yes, I know of Jack Atlas. He is one of my grandfathers. In the timeline my father and mother came from, he and Carly had a son, Damian, who is one of my fathers. I have only briefly met him, before being abandoned by my mother for being imperfect. She also killed him and allied with my other father, who was my mother's worst enemy, but then turned into her lover. They locked me in this time bubble with HER." She actually briefly scowled at the red-haired woman watching the duel. The dice rolled again as Zero's Standby Phase hit, and it landed on a 6. "Now I will Special Summon Depression from my Graveyard." The familiar weeping doll appeared. (100 DEF)

"Hm. So that's why..." Zero thought. "So you get your monster back... That makes little difference." Zero said, drawing his card. "Just like Clear World's effect. It forces me to show you what I'm about to activate. You see... This is my true aim here." Zero said, grabbing the card from his hand. "Magic Card, Silver Scales!" Zero said, as his dragon roared. "This card inflicts 1000 Damage to you when I control a Crescent Shadow Dragon!" Zero said, as many scales flew off of Crescent Shadow Dragon, and shot out at Pandora. "And once that's over, I'll end my turn." Zero said.
