Kyza Kiryu
As Kyza walks towards the Docking Bay Charlie-Eight, he cant help but give a touch of a scowl at the blaring light of the artificial lighting of the corridor. He hated the brightness, shielding his eyes from it. Perhaps it was walking out of the pitch black room he shared with his lover, or maybe it was the traits of the Dark Signer he inherited from his father, but Kyza reached to the back of his neck, tugging it slightly and drawing a hood over the top of his head, looking like a merging of his father as a dark signer and in crash town. "One of these days, i'll understand the appeal of the light. One day. But today, love, I really dont think i will" Kyza comments nonchalantly to Vicky as he walks, glancing to his partner from under the darkness of the hood shielding his feautures with shade, pale skin barely seen under his hood
Spell Master
Nero Walked back to were the Duel Runners where being held and took a look at Ryugas runner. Taking out a small computer scanner, he connects it to the main system and opens up a hologram version of the whole thing. "Man! This thing looks crazy. The guy who invented this thing sure knew what he was doing. Now lets see where we can locate the problem." Through the hologram, Nero takes the runner apart to see where the main problems were being held in. "Looks like the coolant system is shot. Not to mention his emergency gear isn't working. Also, he was right. The dimensional transporter is fried too. Damn! Do we even have any spares around here?" Looking around through some parts lying around, Neros luck didn't win. He then shouts out, "Hey Arry! Where are you at?!" Looking around the area Nero finds a small guy, almost looks like a child, sleeping around some junk. Nero pokes at him and the person rolls over and looks at Nero and asks, "What do you want? I was up all night working." "Listen, I need you to come here and see if we have any of these parts around here for me." The kid like person didn't really want to move but did as he was asked. Looking at the list of parts that were showing up for a list of repairs, the dude shrugs and says, "Can't say we do. I mean I can look around but I can't promise anything." Sighing out of displeasure, Nero say, "Alright, just try your best ok?"
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky smiled as she walked up the stairs from the corridor to the outside part of the petal. Each of the country-sized petals had hundreds of thousands of miles of tunnels and rooms underneath them. She stepped out of the corridor into a bustling city street. "Kyza, look up!" She pointed up at the star-filled expanse with a band of geographical features in the middle. "Isn't that beautiful, Kyza? We're only seeing a small section of a massive structure that has the surface area of 3 million Earths! That's enough room for millions of civilizations to live, grow, and thrive! Just think of what it took to make this place!"
Kyza Kiryu
For most of their walking, Kyza does as he often does, watches Vicky's legs as she walks a little ahead of him, partly because he did admire her legs but most importantly because he was struggling to get used to the corridor lighting as he often did. Once his eyes have adjusted, hoever, Kyza does indeed do as Vicky says, and his breath catches in his throat. It was breathtaking. In their travels, they had visited many worlds, seen many wonderous sights, but that was truely breathtaking. "Kinda humbling, isn't it?" He chuckles, lightly draping his arms around Vicky's slender torso as he stands just behind her, "All this, the multiverse, the many potentials upon potentials that exist, formed around several key factors and key people, spelling out so many differant results and people... and amongst it all, despite the rarities, *I* exist, and *you* exist.... It's going to be weird knowing we'll have to pick one place and settle there eventually..." he hugs into his dark lover slightly, one hand absent mindedly reaching up to stroke her face as still he gazes at the sight before him. "Maybe here'll be home.... It's big enough" He chuckles softly, studying the structure and thinking of the potentials and what-ifs. He had become good at those, thinking and pondering, but was grateful he had Vicky to stop him from spiralling into thoughts that were too much, too dark or heavy. How ironic the dark found the dark for comfort. "We'll have to explore while we're down there, see if we can get our recon completed and have a look around, I doubt codename; Handless Gunfighter is going to be missed TOO much on this mission"
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky also marveled at the beauty of the Ringworld and admired the incredible size of the megastructure, knowing that they were seeing this from 50 million miles away. She rested her head against Kyza's shoulder as she looked up at the sky. "Kyza, this might be an impulsive decision, or just a whimsical thought, but I think I might want to stay here with you. This place would take an eternity to explore, an eternity we have! Together!" She held him close as she walked along, so happy she met him all those years ago. She had been such a heartless, emotionless ice queen before she met Kyza, but whenever she was around him, she thawed and felt...normal...Like a regular teenager in love with someone instead of an immortal sorceress stuck on the cusp of legal adulthood and imbued with incredible dark power. Kyza Kiryu
Her question startles him some as he drapes his arm around her, looking down into her face as they walk together. "You? Me? Settling down, together, in a place of our own?" He asks softly, his own dark eyes gazing into hers as he thinks, obviously milling this thought over, "Our place.... our OWN place..." He stops for a moment, obviously thinking deeply about this. He'd be saying goodbye to his parents, his sister, his family and world, but... he knew he needed Vicky. What could he do? Take her back to his uninteresting world, to just like out eternity as nothing? Or here, somewhere new and exciting, where he could truely enjoy his life, all the years awaiting before him, them.... "...I may have to take you up on that offer, my lovely little witch" He smiles, gracing her lips with another soft kiss before looking back up towards the Ringworld, towards what would soon be home
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky started imagining the possibilities. "Who needs a dinky version of Earth when we have an entire Ringworld to explore! We could drive- No." She grinned happily. "Forget driving! We could WALK across the Ringworld! We don't really need to eat, drink, or sleep anyways! We can just have each other and everything nature provides. I can teach you how to create clothes from shadows like I can and cast some spells, allowing you to enchant and augment your bullets instead of having me do it! I can teach you how to use the shadows cocooning you to shape your body into other forms, and we can become powerful predators, the top of the Ringworld's food chain!" She kissed him back for a couple of seconds before whispering in his ear. "We can do anything we want! Together! Forever!"
Kyza Kiryu
"You know, my love, you are starting to sound positively wicked there..." Kyza holds her tightly in his arms, hands stroking her back and tracing the dark patterns upon her skin, the hood he wore shielding his face from others as he claims her lips in a deep, long, lingering kiss as the Nazca lines carved upon his body practically glow within the embrace, her the dark fuel to the fire within his barely beating heart as he holds her tightly, but it sounded fantastic to him, to be free to just be who he was with her. Eventually his lips pull from hers, but his embrace doesn't ease up, still holding her tightly, "Though to finally be able to weild the darkness as you do.... to be with you for all eternity... I'd be mad to turn that down. Eternity is ours for the taking, Vicky, to be free to use the shadows whenever and however, together...."
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky rested her head against Kyza, so comfortable in his arms. She had never felt safer anywhere else, not even in her own parents' hugs. "Kyza, these past few relative centuries have been wonderful...In fact, I want to ask you something else..." Itsu brought up another holographic screen, this one displaying a green-haired girl in some sort of futuristic straightjacket. She appeared to have a strange marking on her forehead. "Isamy Entropia. Not much is known about her, except she was rather close to Protheus, possibly even closer to her than you were, Tao-King-Formerly-Known-As-Minerva. We dueled a few relative centuries ago, and somehow, she managed to get a Vortex Synchro Monster, a reality-warping creature of my own creation, one that actually destroyed my Solace Dragon and defeated me easily. She then imparted me with a warning, a warning that fascinates me, terrifies me, and drives me even harder to complete my goal: 'Do not try to discover the origins of the Machine Emperors. It will be your end and the beginning of a much greater threat.'"
Kyza Kiryu
His finger is raised, still always cool to the touch, pressed soft against her soft lips. She couldn't say it, not now, because it was his chance... With his other hand, he raises the box from his pocket into view between them, a simple dark green velvet box which he opens to show the simple jewellry inside. A wedding ring. He had spoken with Desna, asking about the toughest, longest lasting metals to grant her a wedding ring that, like him, would be hers forever. Gently, he steps back from her, letting his arms fall from her body as he sank to one knee, taking a deep breath. If he was going to, it would be now... "Victoria Atlas... throughout the multiverse, any and all times, there is only one of me, and one of you. I would be a fool to loose you, but simply being with you is not enough. Perhaps we ARE both born of darkness, and are damned forever with these unaging bodies.... but I want this to be the blessing no other can share, just you and I. No one completes me as you do, perhaps it is sentimental but I need my witch, trapped as I am under her spell and always will be. Vicky..." he takes a hesitant breath now, knowing it was too late to step away, the ring in the light holding two black diamonds he gathered upon their travels, proof he had been planning this for so long as he gazed up at her, arms open and on one knee.... "Will you marry me and become my wife?"
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky was amazed at the display, then she inexplicably started laughing. She snapped her fingers, and two rings appeared in her hands. They were both made of a strange silvery metal, the bigger of the two with a gem that was either red or blue, depending on how you looked at it, while the other, the smaller one, was purple and orange, though both were glowing. She calmed down and knelt down with Kyza. "I suck at speeches. You know that. I cannot fill any poetry books with my feelings for you, but they are pure and full of affection. That's why I was going to wait until later to present these to you. The rings are made from the same nanite culture that was injected to me when I was almost converted into what Itsu and Trixie became. I rejected it after learning how to do so, but I kept some of them around, just in case. They are constantly rejuvenating themselves, and they will feed off of the extra iron in our system, making sure they will last forever as long as we do. The gems were given to me by Trixie. They apparently resonate with each other, glowing more brightly the closer one is to its companion." She then kissed him on the cheek, smiling sweetly. "I will marry you and become your wife, but only if you will marry me and become my husband."
Kyza Kiryu
Kyza can't help but gaze at the rings in a stunned silence, before his shoulders shake, twitching slightly. For a moment it looks like he's crying until the lines carved into his body glow brightly, shimmering through the material of his clothes as he tilts his head back. He was laughing, full of joy as the tears of happiness stain his cheeks, eventually opening his eyes as they shimmered in the darkness of his hooded features. She had taught him to keep the Giant in check, restraining its hold over him, but in heightened emotions they still shimmered, a visual aid to show her how strongly his emotions were as he nods. "I'd be some fool to reject such an offer after taking such a long time to propose myself. Of course Vicky, of course I'll marry you!" Unable to restrain himself, he wraps his arms tightly around her lithe form, holding her so close, his cool body pressed against hers as he still laughs and smiles, just allowing himself to feel everything in his heart at this moment, lost in his love for her. Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky saw Kyza start to laugh, and she resumed laughing as well, crying in joy with him. When he picked her up, she reached up and took off his hood, then kissing him passionately, since they were now fiancees. This was the culmination of so much love and good times together, and probably the longest boyfriend-girlfriend relationship in every single history. After they had finished kissing, she gently stroked his cheek with her gloved hand. "I have been waiting so long for this moment, Kyza. Merci
The Dusk, Thirteen broke the air between Kyza and Vicky. I am afraid to say that I heard it all. Thirteen, the Dusk, interrupted. That entire marriage proposal was heard by me. I am smart enough to realize that this was supposed to be private between the two of you, but I calculated that I could put time into watching you two. Luckily, I feel nothing for this proposal, but I am afraid that I will have to report it to Master Minerva, since his instructions were always to 'report everything', and I take that literally. Good-bye. And Thirteen left to tell the others about going down to the surface. The Tao King just sighed. "Well, I guess you do know her after all. Isamy Entropia and her Vortex Synchro Monster, Entropy Dracolich, which accelerates entropy." He said. "She plans something that will annihilate the multiverse in one go. Of course, I don't know how she would do that. Now, that Dusk will be reporting back soon. You do remember it, right, back from Kugena City? And yes, I do remember that place, thanks to my new trump card, the Key Memory, which awakens all memories."
Premier Alexander Romanov
Itsu sighed. "I remember Kugena City...I remember it all too well..." "Rei, you don't have to do this! Jenny, Protheus, and I can seal her away without you!" "Onii-chan...someone has to make sure she never escapes...I can take whatever she dishes out at me..." "Rei!!!" "Let's duel again someday...Onii-chan..." "REI!!!" Itsu snapped to attention. Merci
"The Tao King is probably a mouthful for you." The Tao King muttered. "Well, I'm at a loss there. Fine, then just call me 'Tao', a shortened, one-syllable version of 'the Tao King'. I would prefer you call me 'my Lord', but I know enough that you are too high to be that low. " He himself recalled Kugena City. The memory was wiped from him, but thanks to that new Exceed Monster of his, it was regained. All memories could be regained with 'The Key Memory', even ones that had completely left the mind. It was disturbing to remember his times as a baby, being looked after in an underwater castle where the only company other than a mother and father was a monstrous powerful hydra, and even to remember the nine months in his mother's womb. It was all disturbing. But it was worth it, anyhow.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna came back in, shocked. "You guys...you are not going to believe this!!!" He brought up a screen, which showed the Ringworld. He then selected an area, which zoomed in. He then selected a section of that map, and the display zoomed in again, he did this several times until a familiar coastline started to appear. "Is that?!?" "It is." "But that's impossible! I remember it!" "Well, apparently whatever illusion was around us was that good." Both Desna and Itsu were looking at an overhead picture of a ruined city by the coast whose urban areas were shaped like the katakana for "Itsu", which is exactly what Kugena City looked like. In fact, except for the little detail that the metropolitan center had seen much better days, it HAD to be Kugena City! The craters were all in the same places! "Then...that means..."
Merci
The Tao King turned back. "Impossible." He said. He checked it himself, and it was exactly the same, except for being ruined. His memory had been vastly sharpened by The Key Memory, making it superior to that of Desna and Itsu's, and there was no mistake. It truly was. . . "Well, Solace, since you and Maximus were pretty much the last ones pretty much the reason for Kugena City in the first place, can you explain to me why Kugena City's there? It's definitely not a multiversal duplicate, that's for sure. Well, Solace? Care to explain why it's there? Or do you not know?"
Kyza Kiryu
Kyza holds Vicky within his arms so tightly, smiling as she strokes his face and and lowers the hood shielding his eyes from the light of the corridor, returning the gesture by lowering her own hood to gaze into her darkened eyes, truely seeing the dark marks on her face as a gift from her mother, and savouring the moment. The Dusk doesn't spoil this, only making him blush slightly the unusual purplish-red blush he usually did due to his blood flow being unusual, trapped as he, as they were between life and death. That one question Vicky mentions makes him blink, however. They had a home they could go to on the ringworld once this mission was finally over, they were fiancees, and The Dusk was even letting the others know about their engagement. "What question is that, my love?" he asks, his voice low as he gazes deep within her eyes, face held near to hers
TotalObelisk
Ryuga heaved a sigh and placed the book back on the shelf, taking a step back and casting his gaze over the rest of the room. "Looks like this place has a bit more going on than I first thought," he said aloud "There's only one thing that bothers me..." As if on que, the deck residing on his belt illuminated and a semi-transparent image flew from it, growing inside and twisting its snake-like body around so that it could fit in the small space, a pair of long wiskers waved freely from the sides of its head and its green main settled down on its back. "Something is bothering you," the dragon spoke, although its mouth didn't move. "I don't need you to tell me that," Ryuga replied without looking up at his monster "But it's been bothering me ever since I came here. The SOS I recieved came from here but was cut off, and that guy, Nero, didn't mention anything about it and he certainly wasn't expecting me here. To top it off I end up in a world unlike any other I've ever seen and not only that it seems as though this place is some sort of Nexus or haven for inter-dimensional travelers." "You think you've walked into a trap?" "I think I've walked into trouble," Ryuga corrected "Trouble I want no part in." He turned his back on the room and walked towards the exit, his dragon spirit vanishing as he left. He walked back up to the surface, intent on finding Nero to see if his D-Wheel had been fixed yet. The sooner it was repaired, the sooner he could leave.
Spell Master
While Ryuga was still in the archives room, Nero was hot at work to finding the necessary parts for the broken duel runner along with the help of little Arry. For a while, they weren't having any luck on finding anything. But later on they were able to find some coolant systems and were able to repair the emergency gear. Nero said while whipping off sweat from his forehead, "Well, now that just leaves fixing the dimensional transporter system. Arry! Any ideas on where to find one?" Arry looked at Nero with an exhausted expression and Nero got the idea on what the look meant. "Alright, you can go back to bed." Nero looked at a beaten up old clock and thought, Man! It's already that late? I have to stop enjoying my work so much. As Nero sat down for a second, he started thinking again, An SOS....Maybe I can trace it. Grabbing some connection cables, Nero hocked up his runner with Ryugas and work his magic. After a few moments, be got though the security system and began to locate the signal. He noticed Ryuga coming out of the hall and said, "Hey! Sorry about ditching you like that, but I got most of your runner fixed up. All were missing is a dimensional transporter system to replace your older one." TotalObelisk
Ryuga looked up as he approached Nero, still apparently trying to fix his D-Wheel. "Good to know, thanks," he replied. The sooner it's repaired the sooner I can leave, "I don't suppose you know where to find a transporter system?" He asked "I know D-Wheels and I can tell at a glance none of the ones here have one that works. While I'm at it I'm curious about something; you told me you're a dimensional traveler as well. Before now I assumed I was the only one and from what I've learned here there are far more still and from the way you talk about it, it seems like nothing new to you. So tell me, how did you become an interdimensional traveler, is it a common thing from your world or was it merely an accident?" The more I learn from him the better, Ryuga thought Whatever knowledge he possesses could be my ticket home.
Spell Master
Nero paused for a moment to gather his thoughts, then he turned facing Ryuga with a concerned look and said, "I may know of one place that could have one, but I wouldn't really place money on that bet. Also, it's far to late for me to do anything right now." As he started back to working on finding the source of the SOS signal, Ryuga asked another question that throw off on what Nero was doing. He put everything down, got up and said, "It's going to be a long story so I may as well take a break to tell you." Stretching out his muscles and yawning, Nero walks out of the room and tells Ryuga to follow. They both walked into a kitchen and Nero throws a instant noodle cup at him and says, "I hope your hungry." After at least making his, he sat down in a chair in the another room and said, "Take a seat if you want. As long as your here, this place is yours as well. Now where to begin...." Nero explained that in his world, he was a duel monsters champion at a very young age and won many other titles. But as the years went on and on, he realized that his life was boring. While walking back home, he was picked up by some people who said that they wanted him to work for them because of his dueling skills and smarts. They told him that he could see a vast multiverse and experience different times and space. At first Nero thought that they were high like there was no tomorrow, but they proved it by using the same vehicle to travel. He later than agreed and he'd been one for the last 3 to 4 months. "Well, thats my story. Not really worth the admission fee I know but thats just the way it is. Sorry if you were looking for answers from me. Other than four months ago, I really didn't know anything to begin with."
TotalObelisk
Ryuga followed Nero into the kitchen, taking the meal that was offered to him but not bothering to open it. He took a seat as offered and waited for Nero to begin. At the very least, this is the most hospitibal world I've been to, He listened calmly as Nero told his story, noticing a slight parallel to his own but with significant differences. He let out a small sigh as Nero finished, having found few clues within his story. "At the very least, you know more of it than I do," he replied "That's something at least." He leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees and staring at the floor between his feet. Nero had told him his story, so now it would probably be only fair for Ryuga to relay his in return. "As for me, it couldn't be more different," he replied "Both my parents died when I was young, so I was taken in by my grandfather who was a great inventor. Since he took me in I assumed he'd welcome me with open arms, but in reality he barely even acknowledged my existance despite my frequent attempts to prove myself to him. This led to an accident with one of his inventions that send me into a parallel world, vastly different from my own and I've been stranded ever since." He paused once he finished his story, finally looking up at Nero. "Ironically, if it weren't for the way my grandfather treated me I'd probably be dead," he commented "Through my frequent attempts to impress him my resolve has strengthened and without it I'd have been lost."
