Barian Warlord
Kain had gone through a lot of data but most of it he either couldn't understand or didn't seem relevant, with the exception of a map of the the world and of the city he was in along with some other interesting facts. Kain put his lap top away and got back on his duel runner, Looks like there's nothing more I can do here so I might as well head for the next city on the map until I find some place that actually has people, with that Kain began riding outside the city. Tokyo Duel
While Exo and Arashi were racing towrads the city, Exo realized that Arashi had far too big of a headstart. Exo took a turn...and ended up in the wrong area. "Damn it!" Exo shouted. He wanted to turn around, but it was beginning to be too busy. He decided to continue on down this area. He then saw some one driving on their duel runner. He drove off, hoping that that person would accept his soon-to-be challenge. After all, Exo needed to take out his stress... TotalObelisk
Well that was close, Ryuga thought I doubt I'll be that luck again though. "My draw!" Spell Master
Nero looked at the new monster on the field and thought, An egg? What is that supposed to do? Comparing what he had in his hand and what is on the field, he continued, something tells me I'm not going to like whats coming but, Looking down at his hands. They were shaking, but not out of fear but out of excitement. I actually want to make this duel last as long as I can. "Alright then, It's my move now ! Draw!" Looking at his and of only 2 cards thinking, Nothing I can use this turn. Oh well, that figures. TotalObelisk
Strange, Ryuga thought He didn't attack me. But that trap card of his is going to give me trouble, I don't have a single DARK monster in my whole deck. And my whole strategy depends on sending cards to my graveyard. He placed a hand on his deck, fixing his eyes on the road ahead. Either he foresaw my trap, or he's setting one up for me instead. "My turn!" Ryuga declared, drawing a card from his deck as he rounded a corner "And during my Standby Phase, my Egg's effect activates!" Ryuga's monster glowed bright, the light seemingly siphoning off it and forming into a new monster. "During my Standby I can Special Summon 1 Crystal World monster from my Graveyard," Ryuga explained "Come forth, Crystal World Beast!" Ryuga crystaline lion emerged once again onto his field, crouching slightly as he sprinted alongside his master. If I can't send my monsters to the graveyard, then I'll just have to go one step beyond! "I activate the effect of my Crystal World Snake!" Ryuga declared, taking the card from his hand and holding it out for his opponent to see "I can remove 1 Crystal World monster in my hand from play to Special Summon it to the field. Come forth!" Ryuga took one of the cards from his hand and sent it into an extra slot below his Graveyard, Placing his snake on the field. The creature emerged, bearing the appearance of a cobra fashioned out of white stone, a set of crystals making up its eyes and fangs. That's three monsters, 2 more to go! Ryuga thought. "Next I'll summon my Crystal World Creator in Defense Mode!" Ryuga continued, playing another card. Another creature, this one appearing as a minituarized, crude stone statue appeared, floating alongside Ryuga's other monsters. "And now for his effect," Ryuga continued "When my Creator is summoned, I can summon one of my removed from play Crystal World monsters in defense mode!" The card Ryuga had sent for his Snake's effect popped out of his graveyard. "Come forth, Crystal World Phoenix!" A new monster burst from the ground, gliding into place above Ryuga's D-Wheel and dwarfing the rest of his monsters. It was a collossal bird made of stone, its wings and tail feathers made up of hundreds of crystal shards. "And now for my Crystal World Phoenix's effect!" Ryuga declared "When it is Special Summoned I destroy all other Crystal World monsters I control, and I get to destroy the same amount of cards you control!" Ryuga's Phoenix flew high up into the air, flapping its wings and sending great shards of crystal down upon the two players, oblitorating Ryuga's monsters and sending even more towards Nero's cards. TotalObelisk
A slight look of worry passed over Ryuga's face as his opponent sped past him. Overboots raises Speed Counters by 4, but then reduces them back to 1 during the End Phase, he recounted Either he's getting desperate or he's got a plan. Sure enough, his opponent played another, even riskier spell card. Ryuga gritted his teeth, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been so tense during a duel. He's putting a lot of faith in a simple draw, Ryuga thought What's with this guy? However it seemed his faith paid off as Nero summoned a monster not only strong enough to defeat his Phoenix, but capable of attacking twice in the same turn. "No way," Ryuga gasped. Nero's monster sliced Ryuga's Phoenix in two, heading straight for his life points. Despite it being a hologram, Ryuga swerved to avoid it but the attack came through anyway, knocking off the rest of his life points. The back end of Ryuga's D-Wheel opened up, steam venting from it as his bike was brought to a sudden halt. Ryuga sat up, placing his foot out before his bike overturned and sent him spwarling onto the floor. He wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead, looking towards his opponent. He lucked out big time, Ryuga thought, taking his face down card from his field zone If he'd used any other monster and destroyed my phoenix, I could have used my Crystal Totem trap and summoned two Crystal World Tokens to protect my life points next turn, the only downside is this card summons them in attack mode, meaning they were useless against his monster. He placed the card back in his deck, heaving a defeated sigh. Spell Master
Nero couldn't believe that his plan had actually worked. Sighing out of relief, he slowed his duel runner down just enough to for a nice easy ride and stopped right next to the person he was dueling. Stepping off his duel runner, Nero walked over to the person and said, "Whew man!! That was intense! I really didn't think that would of worked. You are the one person I would love to face off again someday." After getting his excitement out, he began asking questions with a serious look, "Be that as it may, I need you to answer some questions for me. Like just who the hell are you and why didn't you respond when I try to talk to you the first time. You at least owe me that much." TotalObelisk
Ryuga gave his opponent a blank stare and stepped off his D-Wheel, flipping out the leg from underneath to prop it up and placing his goggles on the seat. "My guess is they're just not on the same frequency or something," he replied calmly "Then again I haven't exactly had much use for it anyway." He looked back up at his previous opponent, his expression still a serious glare in spite of his defeat. "I recieved an SOS from this dimension and was able to home in on it to get here," he explained "Unfortunately it seems to have overloaded by jump-drive so I'm stuck here for now. I was hoping to find whoever sent that SOS but so far the only person I've found here is you." He gast his gave about the city around them as though to fonfirm this fact. Spell Master
Thinking to himself, An SOS signal? Here? That can't be right. I would've been one of the first people to know about it. Nero was broken off of thought when the person asked him what had happened to the city, Nero shrugged and said, "I'm not sure on how to answer your question about the city my friend. You see, I'm not really from this dimension. This is dimension CY675, I'm from dimension CR920. I just chose to stay here because the people that still live around here are much more friendlier than where I'm from. You'll have to check the archives to get that answer." Bending down to inspect the persons duel runner, Nero said, "Over-loaded your Jump-drive huh? Man, I know that problem all too well. Just last week I got stuck in a dimension full of amazons." A large chill ran down his spine. Then continued, "I know someone who can fix that for you if you want. Scans show a city on the surface of the ring with a large amount of relatively recent temporal distortions in the vicinity. In fact, we happen to be right above it, plus or minus a few thousand kilometers in any direction. I want you to take Vicky, Kyza, Wayne, Trixie, and a landing party with you down to the surface." She then turned to Desna. "And I want you to stay here and help me figure out when and where these temporal distortions around this city are coming from." Desna saluted. "I'll get Astrometrics on it." He then took one of the multivators down. Itsu turned back to the Tao King and smiled. "Welcome to the team, Minerva." She had never regarded him as a king, but simply an friend, this time an old one. She then chuckled. "I bet your father would have wished to see this." She turned serious again. "By the way, do you happen to have confirmation Protheus is dead? Kyza Kiryu
Kyza smiles to his lover at her kiss, gently resting one hand upon her cheek as he repays her kiss with one tenderly on the lips before rising out of bed. As usual, his deck was on his bedside table, stored within its deckbox, and his dueldisk by that. It wasn't his original crashtown style duel disk, that had been destroyed within one of the worlds. It had saddened him to loose the memento of his father, but Vicky had given him a new one, still of a similar design being it was crafted from the broken parts of his old duel disk, but more futuristic in appearence, and formed itself properly with his movements and actions, even with a Death Counter display built within it, and a conduit for an energy projectile to be fired from, duel disk and pistol in one. "You think she'll be using us to scout around and get the lowdown of what's happening again?" He asks, donning his jeans and boots, heavy duty and designed for most tough terrain. With Itsu's line of work, it helped to be ready. A long trenchcoat with the sleeves missing was added to his attire, covering a black polarneck top with very light body armour over that. If Vicky was the spellcaster out of the two of them, he was more the magical gunslinger, relying on his projectile combat and his restrained darkness to see him through, protecting them both. They made a good team, if he said so himself. Fastening his holster and securing his duel disk and deck, Kyza feels a rattling in his pocket and pauses. The tiny jewellery box, with her present inside. After this mission.... not before, but after the mission....
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vicky shrugged as she held out her arms, allowing nearby shadows to creep from their hiding places and wrap around their mistress. The two-dimensional tendrils hugged and squeezed against Vicky's lithe tattooed body, eventually coming together and forming a bodysuit that then started to produce extra appendages, like a hood and a skirt. Finally, an intricate design of orange and purple lines etched themselves into the shadowy mass as it settled down and became pitch-black clothing. Two glowing purple gems materialized in twin bursts of black flame and affixed themselves to slots on her gloves. Finally, a special golden belt buckle with the Neighborhood Watch symbol, a circle with a triangle cut out, making it look like the clock was set to eleven o' clock, attached onto the front of her skirt. Tendrils of shadow rose up and gently tugged at her bedhead, shaping it into its usual shape while attaching purple ribbons to her bangs. Once they were done, her hair looked like a combination of her mother's long black hair and her father's spikes, just like her clothing was a fusion of Jack's main outfits and Carly's Dark Signer uniform. She turned around to see Kyza looking at her, and she chuckled. She rarely displayed any emotion except around him, and even then only when they were alone or with friends. Merci
"Don't call me Minerva, ever again." The Tao King said. He then sighed and recalled the attack on him by that other woman. Unfortunately, he had forgotten her name, but he knew it began with an 'I'. "As for that fool, Maximus, he's long gone. I don't know what happened to him, but she appeared. . . Sorry, I forget. You don't know her, do you? She can only exist if Maximus is gone, and since she earlier appeared to me. . . The best bet is that Maximus is long gone, though who knows?" He turned around and did an action with his right hand like a karate chop, although he was actually giving orders to the Dusk. "I've been to a big future. You don't know what Exceed Monsters are, do you, Solace? They will be what surpasses Synchro Monsters."
Kyza Kiryu
"Of course." He sniggers as he walks up to her side, granting her a soft touch of his hand upon her cheek, cool from the lack of his own body heat, always chilled from his body's makeup of lingering between life and death. Around her, however, he felt the life side was winning every time, "Not only is it fascinating to watch the very shadows themselves obeying their mistress, but it's fairly obvious I love the mistress shrouded within those shadows." The Neighbourhood Watch badge hung on the lapel of his trenchcoat as he stood by her side, his hair its usual mess, but thankfully draping down around his features, not really needing to be brushed or groomed. One day, Kyza knew he'd try to ask Vicky if there was any hope he could master the darkness as her, even a touch to help protect her and the others better then he already did. "Lead the way, Vicky love" He usually let her lead the way, being a Gentleman.... and to admire the view of that little wiggle in her walk. There was no denying it, and never would be. He loved her, and always would. And given how long their lives were, that was to be a long time.

TotalObelisk
A look of slight surprise crossed Ryuga's face when he learned Nero himself was a dimension traveller as well. As far as Ryuga knew before hand he was the only one. Then again, an infinite multiverse has infinite possibilities, he thought I shouldn't be that surprised. He gave Nero's raised hand a brief look before taking it in his own, albiet briefly. "Ryuga," he replied simply. "I salvaged most of my equipment from one of my grandfather's inventions," he explained "To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how most of it works, I can't even get it to go to the dimension I want it to. I only made it here by locking on the SOS's signal, that's probably what burnt it out." He looked back to his D-Wheel, typing a few commands into the holographic keyboard and bringing up a crude map of the city. "You said I should look for the archives if I want to know what happened," he commented "Care to show me the way? I'd rather not be stuck in a dimension I know nothing about." Tokyo Duel
Exo responded by saying with irritation in his voice, "I'm Exo Underwood. Oh! and um, try to keep up." Smiling out of sarcasm, Nero hops onto his duel runner and revs up loudly before shooting off into the city of ruins. Looking behind him to see if Ryuga is still following him, Nero thinks back again, He mentioned about an SOS signal he received twice now. What does that mean? Turning down an old ally way into a building, he continues, I'll have to confront this with HQ later. Parking his duel runner right along side of some others that were being fixed, he tells Ryuga to park where ever he can find a spot and then follow him. Leading him to a room deep below the building, they enter a room with a bunch of books that were scattered every where. Nero mentioned before Ryuga began looking, "Listen, only some of these are hologram books. There the ones that I brought here so I don't think they'll help, but you are welcome to look through them. All the others are made of paper that you have to take time in reading. TotalObelisk
Ryuga nodded in response and mounted his own D-Wheel, tearing off after Nero. This is too much to just be a coincidence, he thought First I recieve a distress signal which I use to get to this dimension and then not only do I find another person with a D-Wheel, but one who also travels dimensions as well. Ryuga's eyes narrowed slightly as his thoughts went on. If I can find out more about this city and its history, maybe I'll get my answer, He swerved round the corner into the alley, following Nero as he parked up alongside more D-Wheels that where looking worse for wear. He stepped off his own and looked about, his expression unimpressed. He didn't comment however and followed Nero down into a room filled with books. "This is going to take a while," Ryuga muttered. "Listen, only some of these are hologram books. There the ones that I brought here so I don't think they'll help, but you are welcome to look through them. All the others are made of paper that you have to take time in reading. So, enjoy your search. I'll take a look at your runner to see the full extent of the problems and try to fix them. Happy hunting!" "Sure," Ryuga nodded. "The sooner I'm out of here the better," he muttered. Nero left and Ryuga was left to his own devices, wandering around the room and searching for potential answers. He picked up a book at random, brushing dust off it and flicking through the pages. The book didn't appear to have any real answers to the place's history but he did learn the city's name, Aesir, and two more known as Examination and Refresh. This entire place only has 3 cities? Ryuga thought, reading on Wait a sec. This place isn't even a real planet. A frown crossed his face. That explains where I am, but it doesn't explain what's going on, he thought So either the events are recent and haven't been added here, or there was no one around to update. But that doesn't make sense, Nero's still here and he didn't seem like any kind of lone survivor to me. So whatevers going on must still be happeneng. He looked over his shoulder to the room's entrance where Nero had left just minutes ago. Why do I get the feeling I've landed myself in trouble again? He thought.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Itsu chuckled. "Well, what am I supposed to call you? The Tao King? That's merely a title, not a name! Plus, your imagination is very limited. You haven't considered the infinite futures on countless worlds. Exceed Monsters do get popular in some timelines, but they never took off in the reality Protheus and I came from. On some worlds, Burst Monsters, creatures of infinite possibilities, became the new thing, while on others, Extract Monsters, cards reversing the Synchro process and reducing Ener-D, creating equilibrium, started to compete against their counterparts. Of course, there is always Ærth, Princess Judaihime's home, a world that constantly fascinates me because it is such an anomaly among the myriad similar timelines. A world without Synchro Monsters! Can you imagine it, my friend?" Vicky was rather shocked to see the Dusk, but she nodded. "Of course. Tell him to meet us at Docking Bay Charlie-Eight on Petal B2." Meanwhile, a blue-haired girl was enjoying an insanely large breakfast right out of Epic Meal Time in some mess hall in the massive megacarrier, with all sorts of onlookers watching. At the same time, a huge man of African descent was reviewing over the new initial surveys of the Ringworld in his private study full of all sorts of historical artifacts and books on history that was only applicable to other worlds. "Desna. Let's open the petals and let everyone get some reflected sunlight." "Understood, Boss." Desna replied, issuing orders to the bridge crew. The Out Of Time shifted its positioning so it was facing the Ringworld, and then opened up, the plates surrounding the center structure seamlessly warping and shifting to reveal that the ship was a metal rosebud that was blooming. The habitable inside surfaces of the petals, protected by various shields, now had the vast expanse of the Ringworld above them instead of metal bulkheads. The central shaft was revealed to be a single thorn inside of the rose, while the engines shifted to become what would be a clipped off stalk on a normal rose.
