Shizuku Oikawa
Not sure if a topic of this has been recently made, so tell me so I can request a lock on this thread. The game isn't that bad, but it isn't that good either. The only reason I'm still playing it is because the 360 is the only system I have, until I get my PSP in a couple of days, and its fun to play online with my friends, and talking about the most hilarious moves being done. Here's my real concerns on the game, even though it is one of the most downloaded Arcade Games on the Xbox 360, and having extremely lulzy conversations. 1.It only has 1000 cards, compared to the other new games with already over 4000 cards, making this game outclassed by the other games, especially since their banlist is also outdated, with it from March 09 I believe. 2.After alot of playing, the music in the Main Menu gets stuck in your head, but the music when you're dueling does sound pretty cool, even when you're losing. 3.The card distributing system is possibly the worst of all. You can only get cards in Single Player, and they're all random cards, you'd have to be lucky to get good staples, like Mystical Space Typhoon, since I still need to get one, and Mirror Force and Lightning Vortex was the biggest pain, and I'm still on the search for a E-Hero Gaia. And they don't give much space for saving Decks, so you're usually deleting Decks to put new ones. The one thing I did get mad for, was that they didn't add a Trading System in this game. I get annoyed the hell out of myself when I get Goyo and Plaguespreader for the 10th time, and can't do anything with them, and I hear people complain about not having one. And there are people who rage quit in the game. Which is stupid, since each player is still getting points anyways, so there is almost no point. I also want to say that my big disappointment was the DLC. When it got released, I was so hyped, only to see that all the cards were already in the game, which I already earned after a month playing it, so there was almost no point spending about 2 dollars for each of them. Discuss this game that's worth just 10 Bucks.
Eibon1307
Since this thread isnt 3 weeks old and only on page two, I guess I will post. I too play this game because I only use 360 and don't have the money to go spend 60 bucks on a PSP game. I enjoy the game. It is fun, and has had one or two updates to the card list since then. It is constantly updatung card lists and has, since I played the demo, changed the ban list once. It is slow in the update bepartment because it isn't like the real game. You cant just say, "Oh, BTW, Solemn is at 1 now so dont allow the NPC/Pc to use more than one. kthanksbye." They have to script it and then load and apply the changes, which takes weeks. But, for the 4th or 5th yugioh game Ive played, It tops the others in sheer realism. I do miss the whole 3d monster attacking concept that Dawn of The Duelist had, and I wish they had a store/trading system and a slightly better distribute system, but other than that, I am happy with the game, I do get upset when the NPC manages to get a one in a million game saver that ruins my plans completely or when it seems the computer topdeck shuffles the opponents deck in order for all 3 of their Solemns to be drawn in one turn. But other than that, it is ok. The Knockout tournament tiers could be less of a harsh battle, especially with Akiza..., and I do wish there was a Difficulty setting. But other than that, I just update ONE deck and have one back up recipe. I do hope that as time goes on, more opponents/deck types will come out because I have become bored with constantly fighting glads, E-heros, water synchs/coelecanth beatdown, D.D/remove-return, and then the base decktypes the series characters have could change once in a while, and I do not like the 15 card extra deck rule... I also hate how the NPC's do the stupidest things at the wrong time. Case in point. I was dueling a girl who used a water synch/coelecanth deck. She had Coelecanth on the field along with Oyster Miester, two Goledn eels, and one Fishborg Blaster. She synchros for Armory arm, Reborns the Fishborg, synchros for red dragon Archfiend, then uses some magical card effect to re-swarm the field again, she equips Red Dragon with Armory Arm, then attacks with it and an Oyster Miester Token she got from losing Oyster Meister. I lost one monster and too 0 damage from the oyster meister token. She had 3 other cards that could have attacked but she ended when she could have ended the game. I have one card in hand. E-Hero Wildheart. she has 1500 lp. I have 2200. Her Oyster Meister token has 0 atk and is in attack mode because she was an idiot and switched it to attack mode and attacked me with it... So not looking a gift horse in the mouth I summon Wildheart, attack the token and win, gaining a bunch of crap cards along with E-hero Grand Neos, Hyper Psychic Blaster and Avengingknight Parshath i believe was th eother Synchro. I also hate how some series characters have gecent decks, but are weak and lose within minutes and only put up some kind of fight on round two. Grieger and Luna were the two easiest to beat. Then you have AKiza, The former champion dude who spams Zombies, and the sadly Leo. What goes well for one round, always turns to violent ends by round two, or else they just end it in 2 turns and laugh maniaclly as you get one crappy card from your loss, and send you back to the beginning with nothing but hatred for the Knockout Tournament. I've yet to go against Yusei or Jack and the one time I was going to get the chance, I get stuck dueling Leo who then proceeds to summon 5 morphtronics, two who give all morphtronics 800 ATK, two who allow all Morphtronics to attack directly, and Celphon. Round one ended within 5 minutes and cost me.... nearly -2000 damage. Round two saw his Powertool dragon on turn 2 with United we Stand equiped to it, then mage power, then a direct Attack for game with Powertool and one crappy Morphtronic... Its kind of crap. But I do enjoy the game, and even though it has alot of flaws, what game doesnt. They will get changed someday. But, for the 10 bucksit cose, 200 gamerscore and another game on my 100% completion screen is worth it. It has also helped my wife who is a new-to-yugioh novice dueler learn things that you can only learn from an anal retentive game that makes you play by ALL THE RULES!!! Atleast when you play with real people, you dont have to try to remember every dumb ruling and they dont either, so your usually going through some game and may make a questionable play and no one will complain, they either take it, or know the rulings and let you know kindly. This way, she can learn the full way and still have fun.
Shizuku Oikawa
That post kinda just changed my entire perspective of the game. I love the game, and it is really fun to play with friends, especially when I use my lulzy Yusei Synchro Deck. "Inferno Reckless Summon, then I bring in 2 more Tuningwares for the win! Then I Synchro Summon... Staaaaaaardust Dragonnnnnn! Draw 3 cards, then I use De-Synchro, draw an extra card with Card of Safe Return then Synchro again for another 3 cards. Then ATTACK!" "D. Prison." "FUUUUUUUU-!" Lol, just kidding, I would've cleared that backrow with Heavy Storm by then, lol.
Eibon1307
I love the game as well, I use a BurnBox deck. It has 2 Volcanic Slicers, 2 Solar Flare Dragons, one Submarinroid, Des Koala, Poison of the Old man, and then a few Lv 4 beatsticks like Dunames Dark Witch and Mechanicalhunter etc. Then for higher levels I have a Blowback dragon for disabling pesky cards, BW-Sirocco for those times I go second, alot of Anti-attack support like Negate attack and Sak Armour, then A bunch of tuners and materials for my synchros like Black Rose Dragon and Dark Strike Fighter. I actually played the other day and was stuck with a Lv 6 2800 beatstick of my opponents and then I got a Morphing Jar #2 flipped and got all 5 of my monsters replaced with two tuners, Nitro Synchron and Dark Salvo, then a 2 LV 3 and another card. I synchro for Magical android just incase the PC has solemn or BTH, and when he didnt play it I synchro for Dark Strike Fighter and then sacked both Magical Android, the 5th material monster that I left on the field, and then Dark Strike Fighter for game. I lol'd because the moron NPC had gotten two a bunch of Needle Worms and Moprhing Jars from his Morphing Jar #2 and if I hadn't have pulled the Syncros off I'd have lost because he would have flipped them all and then I'd have decked out. He was using a D.D, deckout combo and I beat it. I've actually made the Lightsworn NPC deckout with his own effects constantly because he's too dumb to not use things like Level Limit Area B and Gravity Bind. He just kept clashing with my high DEF cards and losing lifepoints from my cards like Volcanic Slicer and Solar Flare Dragon. I even use the crappy card Submarineroid to do direct damamge with it's effect, which is always 800 points, then flip it in defense so it is safe til I use it again, and since it is a low lvl and low ATK, they it cant get BTH'd and they never seem to want to waste a Solemn in it and retardedly wait for my cards like Blowback Dragon or Synchros. Lazer Yoshi
It's definitely worth the money. Sure, it lacks in some parts, but it's fun if you like Yugioh.

Bringerofcake
How far does the cardpool go to? Are there duel terminal packs? If the cardpool is large enough, I'll consider getting this.
Wahrheit
Terrible game, do not purchase. Cards are near-impossible to obtain if you don't buy the "booster packs" with MSP and the pool itself is limited. Not even close to the caliber of a WC game. Eibon1307
So far there are over 1000+ cards, with more coming. If your constantly play, you can amass nice cards. But no one has the patience to play through 2 or three times. I play it, and have alot of good cards. I can break past the top and so on. Later on there will be new characters and so on added to the list. I have fought, just recently, a new NPC character named Yuko who ran a nasty deck and fought Sayer for the first time. It is ok, but patience and MSP are needed because some cards are hard to obtain. Red Dragon Archfiend and Stardust are only awarded for beating Yusei and Jack, and theres rumour of getting BW dragon if you duel Crow, but ive yet to do so. My assessment: 7/10, worth it and the 200 GS is good too.
Technically no packs, you just get them at random, and the downloadable cards are cards already in the game. And no, not even close to any Duel Terminal related cards. That's kinda funny considering at least X-Sabers were here for a good long time. Also, it is only 1000 cards. But they may have added more. But after months of Single Player, I don't feel like trying to find out.
Terrible game, do not purchase. Also, I hate dueling either Nelly or H.S., because of their annoying RFP Deck. Also, no BW Dragon, just random cards. The packs are before Absolute Powerforce, so no BW Dragon in-game either. If you reach the finals, if you beat either Yusei or Jack, you get Red Dragon or Stardust to corresponding Signer you beaten, or hope to get them randomly. I'm pretty sure we can use this thread to ask lulzy questions about the game. Also, try Tag-Dueling Online, then set Trap Dustshoot and let your partner use it, then you'll see the most lulziest thing in your life (It glitches and turns into a godly card (random card in the game, mainly powerful one, like Icarus Attack)). Eibon1307
Actually the game studio released a press info saying that the games cards come from the first set of series one. till "2 unreleased sets" meaning eithe DREV and STBL or STBL and STOR, maybe even STOR to Extreme Victory. So far theres been 4 or 5 updates to the card list since it came out, and there have been 2 or 3 updates to characters. Yuko uses a weird water-like deck and is a pain. I hate nelly and H.S, but they can be beaten with a decent combo. It's Skyun and Kuwabara that are my pain because Skyun just spamms Gladiator beast fusions and so on, and Kuwabara has a nasty deck thats a mix of D.D/remove from play meets annoying cards that ruin your game completely. I agree that if it would have been more than 10 bucks i'd have been abit more annoyed, but seeing as it's the only yugioh game for 360, I am happy with it. I have no money to buy PSP games and refuse to own a WII and dont wish to spend 600 dollars for a PS3 plus games, equipment, and so on for it. I'd rather upgrade from my 8 yr old Arcade to a newer one and use the extra to buy games like TESV or others so decade duels is good for me. Supposedly there is a strange cheat that you can use that allows for you to unlock not only every deck recipe, but also unlocks a card list that names every card and someone mentioned on GI's website that they counted it to over 5000 cards before he quite counting. Its a rumour. The cheat is something like, play one card that shows your opponents hand and chain another trap that shows the top 3 cards of their deck. I cant remember the card names but I think one was Mind Haxors or something... It was a rumour and I don't use cheats becuase they ususally permanently disable acheivements and thats bad for me... I likes my acheivements.

Eibon1307
I hope this isnt necrobumping, but I wanted to confirm on something for anyone wanting to play this game, a week or so ago, while playing, I got an opponent who used Forbidden Lance from the Storm of Ragnarok pack. so, that verifies, so far, that the game is updated to STOR. My xbox crashed, so until I replace it, I cannot check for any new cards, but I have seen Forbidden Lance in there TWICE!!!!!!!!o Once in the Fish OTK deck, and once used by the second D.D deck user. Not HS. I think it was either Yuko or Kuwabara. I am not sure of the characters name. But I have seen it and the another card from STOR. (Transmigration Break I believe.) Anyways, sorry if this is a Necrobump, It wont happen again.

Bull3tM0nk3y
Well, I do have 800 MS points coming to me soon, so maybe the deal on it will be still going on in 2 weeks from now. But I won't be playing till we get a new TV. The main reasons are:

It sucks.
It's breaking down.
I can't read any text on any of my games.
The top part of it has these bars that mess up the top part of the TV. Like when someone does not fix the camera in a movie theater during the credits of the movie you just saw.
There is a black bar on the bottom the TV that grows when it's off, and goes away after some time of it being on.
Along with this I'll also be getting CRRRRRAZY TAXI for my brother. IF the deal is STILL going on.
Eibon1307
There are others, but you have to play for HOURS to get packs. Or you have to buy the extra packs. The problem is that its taken some time to update ban list, and they hadnt updated the distribution system for the cards you win. But I havnt been on live or been able to play for a while cause my xbox rrod'd...... It is a nice game, 200 GS worth of acheivments, and has good game mechanics. It is worth the 800 MSP. If it was any more id say no, but for 800, its great.
Shizuku Oikawa
Though, the most hilarious thing in your life happens in this game: In Tag Duels, if you use the Side Deck, the game glitches. Like Hell! In everyone else's screen your cards are something else. Like my Teammate placing Renge in the S/T Zone, and it is a totally different card in other player's screen if used by them. Like he used Counselor Lily, but in my Screen, it was Dark Tinker, and Junk Synchron revived it, and Dark Tinker's effect activated. Also, lol when he used Mirror Force when he drew it and destroyed a Spell/Trap, during the Draw Phase.
