Hiroko, a black haired, 17 year old male student, couldn´t believe his eyes. The girl he had challenged had almost beaten him perfectly, as if she wasn´t even trying. Only 500 life points separated him from loosing horribly while his opponent had almost fifteen times that much. Her life points stood firmly on 7200, the 800 points of damage was self inflicted by her to regain what had to be her ace monster. Endymion, The Master Magician. [color="#800080"]"Now, If you don´t mind, I´d like to end this foolish game"[/color] the girl spoke, her voice remaining almost perfectly monotone. [color="#800080"]"I draw"[/color] She checked her hand for a brief moment, but it did not matter at all since the cards she needed were all on the field, checking her hand had been more or less only a formality from her part, not a necessity. [color="#800080"]"By removing 2 Spell Counters from my Magical Marionette, I can destroy your Black Tyranno"[/color] A monster, wearing a red cape, a strange mask with what looked like a sun over the left eye, and rather large gloves, suddenly grew two strings from each of his gloves and immediately tied them around the arms and legs of the black tyrannosaurus rex on Hiroko´s field. An additional string extended from the left glove of the monster with the mask, and tied itself around the neck of the black dinosaur. The monster controlling the strings jerked his hands backwards and the dinosaur disappeared from the field as the strings would have cut through its flesh if it had been real. [color="#800080"]"And now, since your field is empty, I´ll have Endymion attack you directly"[/color] A man in ornate black armor with golden trims and crystals on a few places, raised the staff he was carrying. From the crystal on top of the staff, similar to those in the man’s armor, a mighty magical force was released as the monster more or less directly pointed towards Hiroko. His life points instantly dropped to zero as the attack hit and the boy dropped down on his knees. From his hand, the card Ultimate Tyranno, escaped and fell to the ground. [color="#F4A460"]"P-Please don´t take it"[/color] Hiroko spoke, a small tear forming in his right eye [color="#F4A460"]"That card means everything to me"[/color] The duel had involved an ante. The winner would take the losers best card, and Hiroko was about to lose his. The girl turned around, much like she didn´t even care the slightest about her prize, and walked away. [color="#800080"]"Keep it, It´ll be of more use to you than it will ever be for me"[/color] She spoke, her voice only showing a very faint hint of boredom. The boy stood up and only managed to form a [color="#F4A460"]"Thank you, It means a lot"[/color] until finally adding. [color="#F4A460"]"May I ask what your name is?"[/color] The girl stopped momentarily, wisps of her almost snow white hair getting in her face for a very brief moment due to the abrupt halt. [color="#800080"]"You can call me Riku, but I don´t think there will be any need"[/color] Riku Toyoshima, holder of the titan card, Selene - Titan of the Moon, left the scene, only thinking the duel to have been a waste of time. I activate Mirror Force to negate your attack!" Damien said as a ray of shining light flashed through the underground tournament room, everybody covered their eyes from the ray of light, it was like almost being blinded if you didn't cover your eyes. The ray of light did not disturb Gaia and Mnemosyne's conversation, Mnemosyne said, "Mm, Poseidon eh? Looks like we're in a lucky chance to defeat one of them, let's tell our wielders to hurry up this duel before the wielder of Poseidon leaves..or he left already." I guess I have no choice but to break him![/b] "Beacuse of your Mirror Force trap card, my monsters are destroyed! But that doesn't mean that it's the end! I activate Double summon! Allowing me to summon another monster this turn and I chose to summon my Baby Mane Giraffe in defense mode and I'll end my turn." Gaia tried to talk to Nero about hurrying the duel up but she saw in his eyes that he couldn't hear her. This was the first challenge he had in a long time that didn't end quickly. She turn toward Mnemosyne and said, "[color="#00FF00"]He can't hear me. He's too focused on this match to hear me. Sorry, but well just have to wait a little longer[/color]." Damien said as he drew a card from his Duel Disk, he looked at the card and grinned, "I set two cards on the field, and then tribute summon Celestia, Lightsworn Angel by tributing my Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior!" As Celestia appeared on the field, it was flapping its wings while appearing on the field from above of nowhere. "Oh, the effect of Celestia, Lightsworn Angel reads, "When you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing a "Lightsworn" monster, you can send the 4 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard to destroy up to 2 cards your opponent controls, so I'll activate Celestia's effect! And use that effect to destroy your little Baby Mane Giraffe!" Mnemosyne said, "Is that so...I'll try to talk to mine." Mnemosyne said, "Damien, are you there? Or too focused on the duel?" Damien responded, "What is it Mnemosyne?" Mnemosyne said, "I talked to the titan that the guy you're dueling, Gaia, she said she found Poseidon somewhere in here, hurry up the duel, before the wielder of Poseidon leaves." Damien said, "Huh..I'll try, but with all the spectators...that's going to be hard, and if I shout to that guy, the wielder of Poseidon will be alerted if he is spectating this duel..." Mnemosyne said, "Hm, good thinking..I shall talk to Gaia again now." Mnemosyne said to Gaia, "I talked to my wielder, but there is a problem, my wielder can't shout to your wielder, or else the spectators will think their crazy or something, or if the wielder of Poseidon is still here...I'm going to try to concentrate to sense the energy of Poseidon....wait for a minute." Quothe had finally found out where this Poseidon wielder was. And he was now walking over to him. This duel between titans interested Quothe no more. But something in his head was telling him not to duel Poseidon. Quothe shook his head and walked over to the wielder of Poseidon. He said, "I can see that you are a duelist. I am something of a duelist myself and well..." But then his watch started beeping. And then it started glowing. And then there was a bright light surrounding both duelists and they vanished. When the light faded, Quothe found himself in a Greek arena surrounded by spectators. Sub-gods and titans and others were watching. Quothe thought, what is it about this watch, Infera never said anything like this would happen. He tapped the button on his watch and the laser duel disk came out. As it activated, it split in half and the graveyard came up to be accesable. 5 rectangles glowed on the front half, his monster card zone, and then six more glowed on the back half, the spell and trap zone and the field spell zone. Jason drew 5 cards and then drew a sixth for his draw phase. "I'll start by setting a face down monster and one face down card. Quothe drew a sixth card and smiled. He declared, "I set two face downs and then activate Mystical Space Typhoon! I realize that this probably isn't the best time to use it, as I can't use it for the rest of the duel, but an early lead is worth it!" He hesitated before activating it, but suppressed his urge and activated it. Now let's see what he does in response to this. Quothe thought. No matter what, his card will be destroyed. (OoC: He didn't activate his face down) Quothe smiled as his face down was destroyed. Some titans cheered. Quothe said, "Now I Normal Summon to the field, Chloroplast. Its effect allows me to bring "Photosynthesis" to my hand. And I activate Photosynthesis. That allows me to Special Summon one Carbon Dioxide Token and one Water Token. I Special Summon them in defense position and end my turn." Field: 2 tokens, and Chloroplast S/T: 2 Face Downs Hand: 2 Grave: Mystical Space Typhoon [spoiler=OoC] I can't show my cards used because the image shack thing is broken. One token has 100 Def. Turn End" Jason was thinking that with Thousand Eyes Jellyfish he could see all of his opponents moves and with Mother Grizzly on the field than he wouldn't easily be beaten. Unlike most of the newer holders of a titan card, Riku did not get surprised, as she was by now very used to the spirit of her titan appearing and disappearing from time to time, mostly when it had something to say. The image was of a very pale and beautiful woman with lustrous, raven black hair, kept away from her face by a headband, made out of what looked like gold and with an ornate design that directly resembled those made during Ancient Greece. She was dressed in a white robe and on her back, faint hints of white wings could be seen, though it seemed like Selene was trying to hide them. Selene levitated next to Riku, being careful to keep the same speed as her master. Ever since Riku managed to get her hands on the card belonging to the titan of the moon, the connection between those two was steadily getting better, now, over 200 years later, Riku was since long ago completely using the mystical powers of her titan to, seemingly infinitely, lengthen her natural life-span. What had become a fun fact during most recent years was that Riku was almost the complete opposite of her titan regarding appearance. Her titan always appeared wearing a white robe, Riku usually wore a black dress, slightly resembling those during the mid 17th century. Selene had raven black hair, Riku´s was steadily turning snow white. [color="#0000FF"]"I sense two of our fellow members are dueling against each other"[/color] Selene spoke, her voice remaining as soft as a summer breeze. [color="#800080"]"Me to"[/color] Riku replied. She had sensed it even before she was interrupted by the boy who challenged her to a duel, and received a thorough beating in return. By now, the two duelists, wherever they were, almost radiated a massive amount of power, something Riku knew from experience had to mean the duel was getting intense, often a sign of trouble. And besides, Infera, the proud leader of The Lords of Time, had more or less ordered Riku and a few others to find the two titan wielders who were dueling against each other, and find out why they had turned on one another instead of one of the gods. She stopped outside a rather normal looking building but crawling with people. [i]"Underground tournament under the stairs, Join Now!"[/i] She read from a sign. This managed to catch her interest as a tournament was likely to have skilled duelists, not the street trash that she had to take care of on her way there. However, Riku was fairly shure that she was too late to join the tournament and settled with the idea to watch the other duelists compete against each other. And the two titan holders seemed like they were directly below where she stood. She went inside and slowly down the stairs to the tournament area. Not the best hand Quothe ever had. In fact, it was a bad hand. He needed DNA. If he could get, the game would be over sooner. But this way... "I summon Lysosme. With its effects whatever damage I would take when it takes becomes 0, and the monster who battled with it is destroyed. Attack Thousand Eyes Jellyfish! Hmm? I sense another energy!" Mnemosyne closed her eyes and tried to sense out the people with the large energy, Damien, Gaia's wielder, Gaia, and....Selene? Mnemosyne echoed, "Selene...is that you? Suddenly, Neros body started to glow with immense of power as he shouted with a wicked smile, "Come on! Show me what you've got! Hit me your hardest! Take me down with your full power! Summon your titan against me!! I'll take her down with mine!!!" Shalltear Bloodfallen Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 Through the mild noise of several duels going on at the same time, both Selene and Riku could hear the voices of both Gaia. the titan of earth, and Mnemosyne, titan of memory. Unsurprisingly, they allready knew about Selene´s precence, but other things had taken a turn for the worse as everyone either watching or participating in the tournament would surely sense the massive power errupting from Gaia´s wielder. For the first time in quite a while, Riku felt her blood suddenly turn almost ice-cold. The stories of titan wielders who lost themselves in the rage of battle and allowed themselves to be consumed by the powers of their titan were legends to be feared to this day. Mostly because the damage they had made was incredible. Atlantis was the prime example as most of its citizens had been tainted by titan powers from wielders who lost control. Poseidon, according to the legends, had no other choise but to destroy the entire city by submerging it in the ocean. That it was happening right now was bad in several ways. The main problems was however that besides risking destroying the entire city, it was only a matter of time before a wielder of a god card noticed the massive power that radiated from the arena. [color="#0000FF"]"It seems like The Fates have brought us all togeather once more, sisters"[/color] Selene said, directing the words towards the other titans. [color="#0000FF"]"But it´s very unfortunate that we meet under these cruel conditions"[/color] Both Riku and Selene were shure that the other titans knew what was going to happen if Gaia´s wielder didn´t regain control of his rage. The titan was after all forced to watch first-hand when the disaster of a wielder who lost control, unfolded before their eyes. And by now, It would be surprising to find a titan who had yet to witness one or several of their wielders being consumed by rage. Either way. Damien was confused at why Nero's body was glowing, so Damien said to Mnemosyne, "What's that....Mnemosyne? And his talking deeper than few minutes since we started this duel..." Mnemosyne responded, "Rage...you keep negating everything he does in the duel...which leads to rage, he cannot control this temper...you have to forfeit this duel now..." Damien said, "I'll surrender then..." Damien put his right hand on the deck spot of his Duel Disk and shouted, "I surrender! The win is yours!" The spectators murmured, "That guy had the lead..." "Is he crazy?" Damien questioned Mnemosyne, "W-will that happen to me as well?" Mnemosyne, "I fear it...you must learn to control your temper no matter what, Damien." Nero dropped to his knees and turned toward Gaia and asked, "I-it happened again didn't it Gaia?" Gaia looked down with a sad expression as well and replied, "[color="#00FF00"]Fortunately, you didn't do anything dangerous to anyone or anything this time. But you have to learn to control your anger. Learn from today's mistakes and grow stronger than before[/color]." Nero nodding his head in agreement, walks over to Damien and says, "That has only ever happened once for me. My father is no longer around because of it, and if you didn't do what you did; you may of...." Looking down in shame, he continues, "I-I'm sorry. I normally don't like people, but for you I'll make this one exception." Gazing around hearing all the people whisper rumors on how it was all set up and other trash like that, Neros anger started to raise up again and said, "It's not safe for me to be here. I'm leaving." Nero walks out of the building and takes a deep breath of the outside air, Gaia pops up and says, "[color="#00FF00"]That sure was nice of you Nero[/color]." He just turned his head the other way and snapped, "It's not that I wanted him as a friend, I just showed him that I can put up with him once in a while. Thats all!" Giggling a little bit, Gaia returns to her card and Nero walks away only to be stopped by a young girl with weird white hair and an old style black dress. And why'd you surrender? You had the lead.." Damien answered, "Just continue the tournament without him, and I have my reasons to surrender, I have to depart now, good bye." Damien quickly ran up the stairs to find Nero, while running, Mnemosyne said, "Where's Selene....and her wielder?" Damien didn't ask about what Mnemosyne said, he opened the door, exited the building, and looked left and right...there was a few people, not too much, Damien tried to scan out Nero. "Left...no, now to the right." said Damien as he looked to the right. "Need a little help? I'm sensing two energy on my "magical" radar, its Selene and Gaia, just walk right until you see that guy who you had dueled." helped Mnemosyne. Damien said thanks and walked to the right, looking around for Nero...."There he is!" said Damien. "[color="#006400"]Yes?[/color]" Replied his god card. "When are we going to go after the titans? I can sense them, you know." he said, staring quietly at the water. "[color="#006400"]Soon. As a matter of fact, I'm rather sure that one of them is coming after us soon.[/color]" replied is patron deity. Venyn smiled in a slight manner. "Okay. About time." Than he frowned. "I hope we don't lose. That could definitely be a problem." he said quietly. "[color="#006400"]I'm not sure what will happen either. But I'm fairly sure that we'll get through it alive.[/color]" He brightened up again, his eyes swimming with a spectrum of colors, currently mostly green. "Okay." Eventhough she was dissapointed (and hated to adimt it) that things had ended so fast when it grew interesting, she did not blame the other wielder for surrendering. After all, even the minor stage, or atleast minor of you would compare it to the stories, that the wielder had reached would´ve been a force to recon, if not fear. When things seemed to settle down, rather fast for what had just happened, Riku decided to go get some fresh air, mostly because it would help calm her nerves. It was not like her to get nervous, not ever, and the fact that she had gotten nervous was somewhat disturbing since it reminded her that she risked the same fate, to be forever consumed by rage. Because she was still human after all. Still able to feel emotions. Moments after Riku had left the place behind her, she noticed one of the other wielders, namely the one who had been about to have his rage permanently feast on his sanity in the previous duel. Against better judgement, she decided some questions, or atleast one in particular, since Infera would very likely not even stand the thought of such a flaw in their entire plan going unnoticed. She stopped him. Up close, he appeared rather casual. A blue jacket and a white shirt. Almost exactly what you would excpect from someone in this century. He greeted her with a [color="#008000"]"What do you want little girl, I´m busy"[/color] This was a rather common misstake a lot of people made when addressing Riku. She appeared rather young and thus, eventhough she was barely half a head shorter than the other wielder standing against her, a lot of people often addressed her as "little girl". [color="#800080"]"First, It may not look like it but I´m much older than it seems. Or maybe... he shook his head in time to see Aqua Morder attack Lysosme. He called out, "Activate Vesicle. It stops your attack, allowing me to special summon one level 4 or below microscopic type card from my deck. I Special Summon Cell Wall in defense mode. It only has 500 ATK, but it has 2200 DEF. If there is another Microscopic-Type monster on my side of the field, you can only attack this one. But as long as it remains on the field, I can't attack." Quothe sighed. He stopped Jason's attack for one more turn. At least. And now he had four monsters on his side of the field. Mnemosyne figured there was another energy, that revealed to be Selene, resting inside her Titan Card, which the little girl has, Mnemosyne said to Damien, "That little girl isn't young...its just her appearance that looks young..and she, is the wielder of Selene. One of the titans." Damien thought, "Selene, the Titan of the Moon..." then Damien said, "Ahem...**Cough** I, am the wielder of Mnemosyne...." This came to a big surprise to Nero. Looking back at the girl in front of him, she continues to ask, "[color="#800080"]I trust Gaia has already spoken to you about what happened during your duel? Because if not, she certanly needs to[/color]". Nero hesitated but answered. "Yeah, she has." After a brief moment of silence, Nero asks, "So... have you come to get rid of me because of what happened?" Pauseing for a second, then he continued, "Or are you here for something else?" He was lacking a card to take down cell wall though, and the longer this duel went, the more likely that his opponent might draw his god card. Monsters: Mother Grizzly (1400/1000) in attack position, Aqua Mador (1200/2000) in attack position S/T: scrap iron scarecrow facedown.
