I saw it today.

I´ve never been even remotely interested in pokemon for quite a while
(I think I completely stopped watching the series somewhere around the first Diamond and Pearl episodes, if not way before that)
and mostly watched it with a friend due to him recomending it.

Holy crap was it good!
It takes chances, it crosses lines and is probably the first movie (that I remember) to have an antagonist that I acctually completely hate (In the way of him being completely and utterly evil)

My main problem with the entire pokemon francise has for years been that it seems very childish (I´m well aware what kind of forum I´m posting this on and what I automaticly admit to be a fan of :P)
but this movie does not keep that and instead even manages to bring me hope that a series I forsaked years ago might acctually be evolving into something much better, that I can enjoy once again.

(I, naturaly, watched the english dubbed version and absolutely MUST bring this up)

In terms of voices, Eileen Stevens is absolutely brilliant as Zorua, both keeping the slightly mischevious and childish voice that you would expect from a kid, and exelently capturing the emotions of a kid who desperately misses his mom
and is only reunited at the last moment, just as his mom dies right before his eyes
(I´m not at all ashamed to admit that I was realy close to crying on this part since I realy felt the sadness in the voice)
Shean Schemmel realy brings out the menacing side of Kodai, capturing the sophisticated (and sadistic) villain that most of us probably can identify with to a certain degree.
(I´m also hyped for the new Yu-Gi-Oh movie since Shean will apparently be the voice of Paradox)

and that is pretty much my two cents regarding the movie.

Considering watching Black and White mainly to see if it can live up to my new hopes after watching the movie, and since it´s the only serie that I know for shure that 4Kids isn´t dubbing.

I don´t know about you but I despise anything 4Kids have touched since they have the talent to ruin great shows.
(Pokemon might still be salvageable but it´s such a cash-cow it´s far beyond insane as it is in the original)

Well... how did Zorua levitate with the help of Bronzor's Psychic?

OK nevermind.

Its actually very touching. Very, very touching.

I agree that Kodai is a badass villian. Too badass.
"Illusion Cancellor!"
"Kodai heard every word we said!"

Like an average Pokemom movie, the animation has a lil' 3D, just like Pokemon 4Ever in the Suicune Scene.

I loved the movie.
And about the voice actors, Rowena also shares hers with Aki Izayoi from Yu-Gi-Oh. A fun fact for you all.
It's lovely. The ending made me cry. But Celebi proved how awesome it is. Which is very.

Before Zorua and Zoroark were exposed playing tricks, the very end confused me. "Why is Ash going to Unova when the season hasn't ended yet?" I wondered. Then Rowena grabbed Zorua's tail and I'm like "*facepalm*"

I can't wait 'till it's on DVD. The place I watched it was really slow. Proves how laggy a computer can be.

10/10 movie.

The movie was incredible. The show black and white is actually mimicing (sp?) the original show. Still, like everyone, I really wish that they had kept misty and brock. Who knows? Maybe the new characters will successfully replace the old ones. I doubt it. I highly doubt it. But you never know.

Also, I like how Ash is the starting character now, and how the partner actually has done something before.
