Tokyo Duel
Armageddon. No human was supposed to survive this. No human should have to live in constant fear. No human should have to live this way. But we do. Every day. We are the P.A.S. (Post Apocolyptic Survivors). We live in constant fear of the Demonica, the demons trying to drag us to hell. Thankfully for us, we have the technology to surive. Unfortunitly, supplies are running low. And we don't have much time. Our only hope: to find Time Core, the only thing capable of returning things the way they were supposed to be, and never returning to this bleak future. One problem: no one knows where to find it. ^ OOC Thread ______________________________________________ "Dad! Quick, get over here!" Alex shouted. "Hurry!" "I'm not going to make it Alex!" Chris shouted. "You and I both know it! Now run! Your the best chance this family has!" The ground began to crumble away, and Alex's father fell into the endless abyss. Alex ran. He ran from the pain this caused him. He ran from the lonliness this caused him to feel. And...he ran for hope. Because his father was the one who told him about the Time Core. And Alex refused to give up on that. Alex woke up, breathing heavily. He saw the other survivors, doing whatever they were doing. How long had he been asleep? He got up, and went into the kitchen. "s***..." he said. "We'll be lucky if this lasts us three weeks..." Now what would the P.A.S. do? They were only human after all, and every human needed some kind of nutrition. Was there even a single place to get food? Alex sat in his favorite chair, and began thinking...
WTFauKorean
Bryson walked up behind alex "walking the dog" on his yoyo grinning "h'wanna pahass me a bhagg of chee-toe's? Damn... i whish those things stihll exihsted..." even with his hyped tone it sounded cracked and dry his lips were noticable peeling and he had no spit left. Grabbing for some water he carefully lifted the bottle to his lips taking small sips so that the water would hit his lips fully before getting in his mouth. Putting the bottle down we did a quick gargle and swallowed and his voice instantly cleared up. he shouted obnoxiously at everyone in the church "new plan guys im going out, got the munchies for some cheetos ill come back in about 2 hours" already in his blade-runners he began to zip out the door grinded away on countless edges and rails before anyone could stop him. Tokyo Duel
"Wait, Byrson!" Alex called out, before he was able to step outside. "If your going out, take this." Alex tossed a necklace to Bryson. It held a cross. "Just in case," Alex said nodding. "But remember, food and water won't be as easy to come by. It's not like we're near a grocer's market and what-not. Watch yourself out there." Alex sighed. Byrson was a one-of-a-kind kind of guy. You never meet another person quite like him in a life time. He didn't want to see Bryson go...He looked around. "I'm coming with."
Renzoku Kira-
Aiden was walking around the streets of the destroyed city. He was looking for a place to rest for a little, and maybe even find some food. As he turned a corner he saw a demon standing over some poor girls body. Aiden slowly drew out his Beam Pistol, and aimed it directly at the Demon's head. Everything went silent for a moment, and then Aiden pulled the trigger. The shot went directly through the demon's head leaving a hole. He ran up to the demon knowing he had only a few minutes to fully kill the beast. He pulled out his blade, and began to cut the demon's body into piece. Then, he began to hide the pieces all along the street. Once he was done he went to the girl in the middle of the street. As Aiden checked her for a pulse he felt nothing. "Damn! I am too late." Aiden said leaning over the body. He began to cry for the dead girl knowing she didn't deserve her fate. Quickly Aiden looked around the area for a hole or a shovel, and after finally finding one he began to dig a grave for the poor girl. He picked her up off the ground, and moved her body to the grave. He slowly placed her in, but before he left Aiden said a prayer for the young girl hoping she would be safe on the other side. "Now I just need to find some food before I become a target for the demons."Aiden took off running down the street in search of a store or a house that might have food. GreyCat
He sat at the table in a small somewhat cave-like room. A table cluttered with wires, cables, connectors, screws, power sources, chips, salvaged pieces or equipment, both damaged and undamaged lenses of various sorts and other unidentifiable electrical parts. A bag by his feet was filled with tools of various uses. Two small pencil like micro-lasers danced over circuit board, a hold over from the earlier days of technology, at the directions of his nimble fingers. A pair of optical goggles obscured his eyes as he worked. His cave was really what had been a sick room. He had given the bed the boot and kept a couple folding chairs, the table and the mattress alone. It made a nice place to work. In the church, they were safe. In theory. As legend claimed, demons could not set foot on holy sanctified grounds. But what about when they needed to leave? Bryson was quick, but what if the demons decided to lurk? Set an ambush? They would need warning. That's what he was working on. A demon detector. He wasn't sure what exactly he would look to identify them for yet, but he could work that part out later. That was also the reason he didn't tell Alex what he was working on. He smiled a little. Ever since he wound up here, he subconsciously turned to Alex for advice, guidance, leadership. Strange, considering that he wasn't usually on to take anymore than the most basic orders. He paused his work when he heard voices. Bryson. He was planning to head out gain. And Alex was going with him. Damn. He dropped his tools pushed back his chair. It wasn't safe. There could be demons sulking around. Even if there weren't, the structures weren't safe in many of the buildings. The architects weren't exactly building for Armageddon. He fingered the rosary he kept wrapped around his arm as he stepped out of his little cave. He glared at the door where Bryson and Alex left. Cheetos. Bryson was risking his life for Cheetos. He would kill him. They had better come back. He could do with some Cheetos too.
Azphreal
Shade sat in a corner of the chapel, watching everyone go by; walking around, excersing, talking or just sitting around being bored. He snorted. Who needs friends? he thought. All they do is drag you down. I need me and me alone. He pulled out his multitool and started playing with it. It was near brand new, but since the Apocolypse, nothing's ever "brand" new. He looked up and saw people staring at him - they usually did, but he didn't care - and went back to the tool. Every day, he was still finding more things it had. It really is advanced, he noted. Even for pre-Apocolyptic equipment, it was advanced tech. A small button on the side caught his attention. He pressed it and a small jet of fire erupted from the opposite side. Flamethrower, huh? Nice. He had already found a grappling hook, a foldable blade and a torch that could make nearly anything translucent with the strength. He put the tool back into one of his scruffy jumper pockets and got up. Shade saw Alex leaving with one of the other guys - he forgot the name. He made it look casual, since that was what people were accustomed to with him, and followed them out of the double-doors of the chapel.
Tokyo Duel
Nothing was in view. Not a store, not even a dead animal's body. By now, Alex was concerned. What if they never found food or water? Then what would the P.A.S. do? It couldn't end here. Breathing. Heavy breathing. Alex froze with terror. A Demonica stood right behind him. This wasn't good. What form would it take now?! He turned around, only to see his father. What a low blow. He couldn't attack his father. This was too much. The Demonica then stabbed him in the stomach with a razor sharp claw. He immidiately fell to the ground, grimacing in pain. Lights began fading...was this death? Was this the end? No! He refused to back down...not until he found the Time Core...but he was weak now....
Azphreal
Shade crept silently through the ruins. A Demonica was closing in on the left; it obviously couldn't see Shade. Perfect. Alex didn't see the Demonica before it was too late. Whatever he could see - it was different for everyone - it obviously was something close to him - probably a parent or old friend. That was Shade's advantage. He knew his parents were dead, long gone, and he wasn't afraid to kill anything that looked like them. And no friends. Shade saw the thing stab Alex; despite being neutral with the guy, he couldn't let Demonica stab people whenever they wanted. For him, the Demonica appeared as a regular person, except it had claws instead of fingers and deeper breathing. He drew his energy rifle from across his back, loaded it and lay the back against his shoulder and sighted. The world went silent as he concentrated... He pulled the trigger. The beam of light flew across the scattered remains of civilisation and hit the demon across the ear. Damn, missed, Shade thought. Now it gets fun. He drew the multitool and flicked the small switch that released the blade. It came out with a small hiss. The thing charged at him. Shade leveled his knife in a combat stance. Claws outstretched, Shade realised a bit late that he wouldn't be able to get close enough to use the knife without getting hit. He swerved to the right as the beast went past, grazing his shoulder. Shade involuntarily looked at the blood and felt queasy. He fell to the ground as he retched violently. With a cheap shot the demon aimed a claw at his head...
Renzoku Kira-
Aiden was walking when he turned onto a street, and saw a man get stabbed. For some reason he stopped when the demon transformed into a man. Aiden slowly began making his way toward the man who was stabbed. When Aiden moved in range for his pistols he noticed the guy on the floor wasn't dead yet. He marched up very quietly to the Demon, and pointed the beam pistol to his head. "Back away from them, or I will have to shoot you. I have already killed a demon today, and I have nothing against killing you also. So now you will go stand over there by that wall, and I will let you go free." Aiden said waiting for what the demon will do next. As the Demon was preparing to walk away it turned and looked at Aiden. It turned into the Grim Reaper, and it attempted to stab Aiden. Aiden closed his eyes and pulled the trigger. He opened them to see a hole in the demon's stomach area. As the Demon fell to the ground he turned around to check on the injured man. "Hey are you okay there?"Aiden asked as he searched through his bag for his medic kit.
GreyCat
Leon rapped his fingers on the table impatiently. It wasn't that he had a problem with being alone. In fact, his job had often resulted in him working by himself. And his age too. Being four or five years younger than your coworkers, who are normally considered as young themselves, tended to isolate someone. Especially if they were better then the competition. He fingered the hilt of his Voltcutter. He was safe in the church. He could wait for the others to come back. The probability of them returning with a demon in tow was high. He could cover them. Till they hit the holy ground. Holy ground was safe. In theory. Unwillingly, his mind flashed back to the carnage he found at his mothers house. as devote as she was, it her place wasn't hallowed grounds... No. The church was safe. The others were safe. Safe. Hah. Like he'd believe that. Bryson almost broke his own nose when he was showing off his yoyo a couple days before. The chances of them coming back unharmed were slim. He sighed. Better get the first aid kit.
Azphreal
Shade felt the impact of the blade on his cheek, slicing it open and he knew, randomly, that it would leave a hell of a scar. Blearily, he saw someone in the distance. He was blacking out, he knew it, but the figure walked up to the demon and pointed a pistol at it. There was talking he couldn't hear, the real person pulled the trigger and left a hole through the demon's stomach after it transformed - if they had stomachs in the usual place - and the last thing he saw was the person kneel next to him with a first aid kit in his hands. WTFauKorean
bryson was grinding ahead untill he heard a shot and a screech... he stopped "s***..." he turned around "im such an idiot" he remembered shouting back at alex to try and keep up with him, while he was lauging at his slow pace. He shot back and jumped parellel to the ground zipping up the building he placed his feet on, pushed off and started skydiving from about 8 stories high. He saw alex on the ground with shade while a stranger was aiding them The fallen demonica started to rise from the ground, a simple hole in its stomach wasnt enough He slung his yoyo from about 40 feet in the air he really put some gas into his arm for this one. The yoyo instantly shot past the demonicas head and missed, but bryson smiled for a good reason, shades knife flew right out of his hands and shot through the demons skull sticking to the magnetism of the yoyo and pinning it's head between the yoyo and the knife, The yoyo started to wind as it grinded the demonicas head, bryson holding on tight shot foward and double leg kicked the demonica with his blade-runners making it cut right in half. he retracted the yoyo completly by the time he landed "I told you to keep up, you were lucky seems like your real popular, so who are you?" Tokyo Duel
Alex managed to get a look at the person helping him out. He muttered to spit out, "I've had better days..." then Alex coughed up some blood. Who was this person? There were more survivors? He couldn't make much out; he felt as though he was being dragged down. No. He would not die here. Not now, not ever. He survived the apocolypse. What could kill him? This was nothing. Alex knew he'd make it...he hoped he'd make it...he...wasn't sure. This was a serious wound. Almost a direct hit to the very center of his stomach...would he make it? Alex's life depended on this stranger, someone he'd never met before. No pressure, right?
Renzoku Kira-
Aiden heard the injured boy say something, but he couldn't understand with all the coughing. He saw the demon he shot fall down in front of him. He saw this boy standing there. The stranger asked him who he was. "The name is Aiden Marx I am 19 years old and with help from my grandfather I have medical knowledge. Right now your friend is bleeding heavily from his stomach, but I need you to go check on the stranger over there that passed out. Okay so kid you have a stand wound not that deep though, but I am going to have to plug that hole before I can get you sewed up."Aiden said as he pressed his finger into the hole blocking the blood. He then reached over, and grabbed out a needle and string from his bag. He slowly started to close the gap in the stranger stomach. "Your friend here is just going to need some rest for now, but he should be good in a little. Right now we should get into that building over there. So you can grab that other fellow over there, and we can get them to safety."Aiden picked up the man who was stabbed, and began to carry him over to the building. Tokyo Duel
While he was being "escorted" to the building that lay ahead of him, Alex realized something. Somehow, he managed to shout the word, "Yes!" This was a grocer's market. Though there was some archtetctual damage, it was still standing. And it hadn't been touched. Alex managed to get the strength to stand up and sprint inside. No one was there. But hundreds of food items laid there, waiting. Alex grabbed all he could without hesitating. It wasn't stealing if everyone else was dead, right? Alex's hope had regained, as did his energy. He looked at Aiden. "Aiden, eh? I'm Alex Rayton, one of the P.A.S." he said. It seemed like he had never gotten injured; his energy was bountiful. "Your a bit younger then me. I"m twenty-three. Help me get this food out of here." Azphreal
Shade held a shaky hand to his cheek to try and stem the blood as he shambled after the three he had followed; well, Alex and two other guys that mysteriously appeared out of nowhere. A slightly-damage grocer loomed in the distance. That's why they left, he realised. Food. As Alex eagerly tried to stand up and hobble over to the doorway, so did Shade, suddenly realising he was ravenous. There wasn't much, but it was enough for how many people there were back at the church. A few greens, some off meat - not having that - and some junk food. It wasn't much, but it would have to last. Shade grabbed some of the greens in his arms and started munching on a bit of celery. "Well, since everyone else is making introductions," Shade said between mouthfuls of dry celery, "I'm Shade. 19. P.A.S., parents killed when I was fifteen. Not much different from you guys, I suppose." His cold voice obviously chilled them a bit.
Renzoku Kira-
Aiden opened up his backpack, and started to place food items into it. He was looking at Alex amazed how someone was able to regain health so fast. Aiden then went behind the stores counter to look for a weapon. He knows most store owners keep a weapon of some sorts. "Look here the poor store owner didn't really hide his beam pistol well. I mean I just reached under the table, and it’s just laying there. So Alex I heard your friend over there talk about a church of survivors. Tell me more about it, but only if you are feeling up to the challenge." Aiden said sliding the beam pistol in one of his holsters. "Shade you need to lay down here on this table so I can fix your cheek."Aiden then cleared off the counter. Tokyo Duel
"We don't really call it a church as much as we do 'home'," Alex began to explain. "See, it's the only safe place and the only church left. So it obviously makes the perfect safe place. It's where we eat, drink, sleep, and everything else in the book." Alex's face then went grim. "Of course...all good things come to an end. The barrier that keeps the Demonica is breaking; we have three months at most. I can't afford to tell the others this. Which is why I've been busy..." Alex stopped. "What do you know about the Time Core, Aiden?"
Renzoku Kira-
"Not much my grandfather mentioned it once or twice, but he never went in to detail. The most I know is that it is hidden very well considering nobody can find it."Aiden said preparing his needle and string for Shade's cheek. He was looking out into the streets at the demon whose body was just laying there. "So how much of a food supply do you guys have at this building?"Aiden asked since he noticed how happy Alex was about the food. He then opened up a fridge door to grab a drink. He then looks up into the skyline noticing it was getting darker.
Tokyo Duel
Already noticing the darkening sky, Alex said, "We'll discuss this at home." Quickly, he grabbed a peice of the flesh of the Demonica. "I have a feeling a friend of mine could use this," Alex then ran to the Church as fast as he could. The night was one's WORST enemy. The Demonica would come out of no where, hundreds of them. They HAD to hurry. Otherwise, they'd be screwed. If they didn't make it...no. They WOULD make it. Alex had faith in both Aiden and himself. Renzoku Kira-
Aiden saw Alex take off running towards the church area, and so he took off after them. Man he heals really fast for a person getting stabbed in the stomach. I hope he didn't notice me take some extra food for myself. As he was running Aiden turned around to see a group of demons gathering up at the location they just left. WTFauKorean
bryson heard alex and aiden call out that they had to leave, while shade was following closly behind them after aidens quick surgery work "damn..." rummaging through a few more boxes he found what he was looking for, variety of fritolays chips including cheetoes. "yup everyone will love me." he started to shoot foward catching up with them, moving as a group was what they needed most. He decided that moving ahead by himself so much was something he should take caution on. "btw i think you might need it more than me now." he handed alexes cross back to him "really i dont know why you gave it to me, your the one who always cant handle" he said with a cocky grin he sped ahead just a little noticing the demons on their asses "we're almost their"
Tokyo Duel
Alex looked around. "Don't have to tell me twice!" he exclaimed. "Faster, faster! Come on, damn it!" The Demonica were closing in. Eight feet till safety, and fifteen for death. Six feet till safety, twelve till death. Six feet till safety, nine till death. Four feet till safety, six for death. Two feet till safety, one foot for death. Alex wasn't sure about Aiden, but he could feel their breath. "JUMP AIDEN!" Alex shouted, leaping into the safety. The demons were completely disingrated upon contat of the barrier. "We...made it."
Renzoku Kira-
Aiden heard Alex yell jump so he did. Just as they made it across the barrier the demons were destroyed on contact. Once inside the church Aiden laid down to catch his breath. "So what exactly is that barrier thing?"Aiden asked Alex. He then turned around to look at all the survivors in the church. My God I didn't know there was this many survivors. I have only seen me and that dead girl until now. So how did these people survive when I was the only person in a 5 block area that did. These are just more question I will have to figure out in time.
