evilfusion
A twinge of disappointment crossed Lucia's face. "Well, my Celfon's now in ATK position, I activate its effect. By rolling a dice, I pick up cards from the top of my deck of the same number. Then, I can Special Summon a Morphtronic among them, while the rest go to the deck," she explained. Celfon's numbers lit up and the light bounced between the six digits until it stopped at '4'. Lucia picked up four cards and casually displayed them to Desna as Morphtronic Remoten, Morphtronic Videon, Morphtronic Repair Unit, and Fairy of the Spring. "I choose my Morphtronic Remoten," she decided, placing the monster upon her disk. A monster with the appearance of a remote control appeared. (Lvl 3, 300/1200) (Response? If not...) "Now I activate Remoten's effect. When in ATK position, I can remove one Morphtronic monster from my graveyard, and add a Morphtronic of the same level to my hand. I remove the level four Radion and add the level four Boomboxen to my hand," Lucia explained, extracting a monster from her graveyard and placing it in her deck box to serve as the RFG zone, and extracting the other monster from her deck. "Now I tune my level one Celfon with my level three Remoten," Lucia said, her remote control splitting into three rings and the cell phone drifting into the center of the rings. "Synchro Summon, Armory Arm!" (Lvl 4, 1800/1200) A large mechanical attachable arm appeared. (Response? If not...) "I equip Armory Arm to Power Tool Dragon, raising its ATK by 1000," Lucia said, grinning a little. The massive arm fused onto Power Tool Dragon's arm, raising its ATK score. (ATK: 3300) "I switch Power Tool Dragon to ATK position," she continued. "Power Tool Dragon, attack her Booster!" The mechanized draon charged forward, drawing back its enhanced arm to strike. Premier Alexander Romanov
As the two transforming robots tuned together, Desna started talking. "You know, there is a Trap Card that is an incredible creation. This Trap Card is so amazing, I am surprised no one really uses it! I guess its potential is lost among most duelists, but me, I have seen its genius, and I run three copies of this beauty, one of which is face-down on my field! I activate Compulsory Evacuation Device!" Lucia's attacking Power Tool Dragon, equipment and all, was suddenly encased in a strange cannon, and fired back at Lucia, shedding all of its equipment in the process. "Kid, never put all of your eggs in one basket! Now not only is your Power Tool Dragon back in your Extra Deck, but all of the cards equipped to it have been destroyed! Your side of the field is barren!"
evilfusion
Lucia flinched. So much for THAT plan. With her main monster out of comission...she refocused on her hand for a moment, weighing over what cards to use. She hadn't Normal Summoned yet, so she wasn't completely screwed. "I place two cards facedown, and Summon Morphtronic Boomboxen," she said, a monster looking like a radio appearing (Lvl 4, 1200/400). She looked at the remaining card in her hand, but didn't do anything with it. "That'll end my turn," she said finally. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna grinned as he drew his card. "You know, you're pretty good, kid, but what are they teaching you at this Duel Academy?!? Charging at your opponent while he still has a face-down on the field?!? Focusing on merely attacking a slightly weaker opponent without covering your bases?!? You're lucky I've been going easy on you so far, but now I have half a mind to put you out of your misery and let you join all of your rude friends back in the clearing that didn't invite me to their party! Yeah, I think La La Land will be a much more fitting place for you! Then, in your little dreams, you can think you're almost as good as me! Now, time to have a bit of fun!" He activated a Spell Card. Equilibrium Wrecker Spell/Normal Select 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck and Special Summon it. Then, your opponent picks up cards equal to the Level of the Special Summoned Synchro Monster, shows them to you, and Special Summons as many monsters as possible in face-down Defense Position and sets as many Spell or Trap Cards as possible among the picked-up cards. "This allows me to Special Summon [yrl=http://ycm.wikia.com/wiki/Tech_Genus_Turbine]Tech Genus Turbine from my Extra Deck, and then you pick up 5 cards from your Deck, which you then show to me! evilfusion
Lucia stared at him for a moment, ignoring the pounding of the blood in her head at the notion her opponent was toying with her. His spell, however, intrigued her quite a bit, although she narrowed her eyes suspiciously. No one was that generous with cards. Slowly, she picked up five cards from her deck and looked at them, then turned them around. "Hidden Armory, Morphtronic Boarden, Morphtronic Accelerator, Morphtronic Staplen, and Morphtronic Cameran," she stated, separating them into groups of Spells/Traps and Monsters. She quickly slipped the two Spells into the rear slots of her disk, and Setting the three monsters on the field. A group of new card holograms appeared, and she returned her gaze to the man. "There, go on." LP: 4000 H: 1 M: Boomboxen (ATK: 1200), 3 f/d S/T: 4 f/d
Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna was still grinning evilly. "Now, let's continue to have some fun, eh? I activate Giant Trunade, returning all Spell and Trap Cards on the field to their owner's hand!" A giant gust of wind started to head for Lucia. ((LAST NIGHT)) V was still waiting for her new companion Endymion to pick her up. Time was of the essence, and they needed to formulate a plan, especially since HE would have joined them by now. If HE had hooked up with the Twilight Invaders as Itsu feared, this school had almost no chance of surviving. Of course, it wasn't his fault that HE was a mercenary. evilfusion
"I activate Desert Sunlight," Lucia said smoothly. "All monsters on my field are changed to faceup DEF Position," she explained. Bright sunlight shone over her field despite the gale of wind. Boomboxen took a different stance, and her other three monsters appeared, showing off a weird stapler (Lvl 4, 1400/1000), a board-like monster (Lvl 3, 500/1800), and a camera (Lvl 2, 800/600) The rest of the gale picked up her Set Spells and Traps and returned them to her hand. She smiled a little at Desna. "Now the situation's changed a little, let me fill you in a little. As long as Boarden is in Defense, my other Morphtronics can't be destroyed in battle. Also, Cameran defends my Morphtronic monsters from being targeted by effects. But do go on." Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna prepared the next part of his move. "Kid, it looks like I underestimated you. You now have an impenetrable defense. Cameran protects your monsters from effects, and Boarden protects all of your other Morphtronics from battle. However, I have a card that can destroy any monster, regardless of effect! In fact, I can even show it to you right now! I Normal Summon Tech Genus Cyber Magician!" He played a strange silver-clad magician that didn't seem all that powerful. evilfusion
Lucia merely smiled, intrigued more than afraid. "Go on, show me what you've got," she insisted. If I am to lose the duel, I rather do so than win, wondering whether I really should have won. She presently had four monsters on her field and full LP. She was worried about what to expect from this duelist, but she had enough faith that she could hold him off a little longer, unless he whipped out something disturbingly powerful. She looked at her hand for a moment, then back at Desna, waiting to see how far he'd take this move. LP: 4000 H: 4 M: Do I really have to list them again? Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna cackled as he executed his Synchro Summon. "Limiter Removal, Level Two! Synchro Command, processing manufacture of completed product! Stabilization complete! Go! Synchro Summon! Show the way! Tech Genus Crystal Orb!" The two monsters completed their Synchro Summon, and a shimmering translucent blue orb with golden circutry running across it in a very intricate pattern floated near the flying turbine machine and the engine-equipped fire giant. (0 ATK, LV2) "Now I will execute a Synchro Summon that has rarely been done before, but can yield a monster so powerful, it can spell doom for any monster on the field!" As he said this, Crystal Orb, Booster, and Turbine shot into the air, heading higher and higher. "Limiter Removal, Level Max! Synchro Command, prepare to receive Synchro clearance codes! D-A-1-0-3-2-0-6! Clearance received! Break open time and space to Open Absolute Death! Go, Delta Accel! Show yourself, Tech Genus Digital Reaper!!!" A massive pillar of light burst from the array. The Ener-D Cancellers started to crack and smoke from the tension. A massive whirlwind blew through the entire field, but then, it just stopped. An eerie dark fog, which was tinted purple from Speed World, now surrounded the playing field. The only light was coming from the damaged Ener-D Cancellers, which were now flickering on and off randomly. However, on Desna's side of the field, a strange black lump had appeared from the pillar of light. The lump then started to take shape, showing the the edges of the blackness were strangely pixelated. The lump grew into a human form, then it twisted and spiraled until what was inside was revealed. A metallic skeleton with no legs, but instead a long, tail-like spinal cord was underneath. A glowing red orb was placed inside of the ribcage, and it was pulsing like a heart, or some mockery of it. The claws of the skeleton clutched a massive scythe with a crackling red energy blade, and glowing red dots emanated from the eye sockets of the being's skull. The pixelated cloak fluttered behind the monster as it floated in front of Lucia, starting not at her monsters, like normal monsters, but at Lucia herself, staring into her soul. This being's cold red eyes seemed to know everything about Lucia, including when she was going to die, which seemed to be very, very soon. "Ener-D is a perpetual motion device, a method of receiving energy without going through the process of entropy, the heat-death of the universe." Desna started explaining, breaking the unnatural calm. "However, when Ener-D is used too excessively, it will reverse itself, resulting in entropy, the natural order of things, correcting the perversion of the laws that govern our universe! Thus, it is fitting that one of the ultimate results of excess Ener-D is an aspect of Death itself, and this embodiment of entropy is absolute in its judgment!!! Nothing can escape its sentencing to the grave!!!" Desna started cackling evilly as the Digital Reaper loomed over Lucia and her monsters. evilfusion
Lucia's expression steadily changed from calm to one of pure shock and genuine fear, as she stared at the monster before her. She had never before seen a monster like this one, and something about it sent an enormous chill down her spine, like a gust of wind in winter. She had no Spells or Traps on the field to defend against its attack, and if Desna wasn't just exaggerating, this was sure to be either a spiraling descent to defeat or a massive uphill battle. Even her monsters seemed worried about the new creature, as their mistress struggled to regain her composure. "G-go on," she said, cursing her teeth chattering. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna calmed down and smirked evilly. "As I said, Digital Reaper here has the power of Absolute Judgment! Allow him to demonstrate on your Cameran!" The Digital Reaper took one hand off of his scythe, holding it like a staff with the other, and pointed a metallic bony talon at Cameran. Some of the pixels from his cloak started to float towards the Morphtronic, surrounding the monster until they had formed pixelated black wraiths, whirling faster and faster around the machine. Some of them even got underneath him and formed a black patch that he started to sink into, black pixelated arms reaching up to pull him in. He struggled in vain, using his camera flash to try to dispel the darkness, only to eventually be swallowed up by the pixels. They floated back to rejoin their master, seamlessly reforming into part of his shroud. "My Digital Reaper can use Absolute Judgment once per turn, but when it does, it destroys a monster on the field, regardless of effects. This power over life is so great, no effect can stop it, and no card can chain off of it. Plus, the monster destroyed and sent to the Graveyard is sentenced to suffer there, and therefore it must remain in the Graveyard for the rest of the Duel. The only way you will get your monster back is to win...or lose..."
evilfusion
(If you personally created that card, fix its OCG. The way it's presently worded on the card wiki, it would not be able to bypass Cameran's effect because Cameran's a continuous effect that neither "negates", nor chains; it entirely disallows effects to target Morphs. And anyone who knows me knows I'm a ruleshark in RPs.) "That's a very interesting card," Lucia noted, observing the destruction of her monster with a neutral expression. "But I don't see what you intended to prove there. Do you have anything to add, or can I take my turn and see where we end up then?" It was true that her Morphtronicss were no longer being given the protection from targeting, but it didn't really matter. She had no intention of reviving Cameran this duel anyway, and unless Desna intended to use a targeting effect to shift the situation, her defense was still untouchable. Premier Alexander Romanov
((OOC: I think I fixed the effect. evilfusion, thanks for providing the OCG needed.)) Desna simply smirked. "You forgot the effect of my Booster! The monster he was used as a Synchro Material Monster for gains 600 ATK!" A fiery aura surrounded the metallic aspect of Death. (4500 ATK -> 5100 ATK) "Not to mention my Turbine has a similar effect, giving my Reaper the ability to attack twice!" A skull-shaped attachment affixed itself to the Digital Reaper's scythe, causing the occasional electrical arcs coming off of the energy blade to increase. "Now, let's see...since your Boarden is the one keeping your other Morphtronics alive, how about we start off by taking him out, eh?!?" The Digital Reaper glided in front of Boarden, looking down on the robot as he raised his scythe. evilfusion
"I activate the effect of the defense position Morphtronic Boomboxen," Lucia said smoothly. "Once per turn, I can negate an attack directed at a Morphtronic monster. Your first attack is meaningless." Of course, that did mean the second attack was sure to go for Boarden, since the other two monsters couldn't be destroyed in battle. (Assuming that is the move taken) The monster shattered apart into pixels, Lucia bracing herself against the scattering pieces as if they were glass shards in a windstorm. She straightened, still a bit satisfied. LP: 4000 H: 4 M: Boomboxen, Staplen S/T:
Zextra
As Saveedro's hologram appeared, Caden staggered backwards upon seeing Saveedro and Zero. Caden slowly moved towards Raize and tried to help him up. "Raize...That was...dad...along with that man..." Caden's eyes weren't focused on anything in particular, still bothered by the holograms. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna laughed maniacally as his Reaper returned to his side of the field, now staring Lucia in the eyes once more. "I will activate Pot of Avarice, allowing me to return Charger, Cyber Magician, Beast Mistress, Striker, and Werewolf to my Deck to draw 2 cards! Then, I will set 2 face-down cards and end my turn!" Desna declared. "Just try to stop my almighty Reaper!" Desna seemed cocky, but in truth, Desna knew something Lucia (hopefully) didn't. The Digital Reaper was far from invincible. Sure, he had immense power, but very specific, and very rare, cards had the ability to negate his "Absolute" Judgement, and he was only immune during that period he used his effect. Plus, all of that shiny metal was just for show. If Digital Reaper was placed in Defense Mode, he would easily be destroyed. However, if Desna's Reaper survived until his next turn, Lucia would be doomed, however, if Lucia somehow managed to survive her next turn, Desna would only have one card in his hand when he next drew and very little on the field. evilfusion
(I think your card count is off, TFF. Did I miss something or did you just slip in your calculations?) "Then it's my turn," she said, glancing at the card she drew, and with no hesitation, slid a different card from her hand into a rear slot of the disk. "I activate Morphtronic Accelerator! By returning a Morphtronic monster from my hand to my deck, I'll be able to destroy one card on the field. However, it should be noted this is not a cost. I target your Reaper." evilfusion
Seeing the destruction of her card, Lucia just shrugged. She had been hoping he'd do something to negate her effect anyway, but now she had to work out the backup plan. She plucked a card from her hand and slid it into the slot of her disk. "I also activate Pot of Avarice. I select five monsters from my Graveyard and return them to my deck. Then I shuffle and draw 2," she said. "Cameran cannot be removed from the Graveyard, but I still have Morphtronic Boarden, Scopen, Celfon, Remoten, and Armory Arm." She removed the cards from the Graveyard and placed them on her deck, watching as the automatic shuffler did its thing, and then drew 2 more cards. "Now for the next step: I activate Hidden Armory," she said, a Spell appearing to show a hand reaching through a dimensional rift for a sword. She took the top card of her deck and slid it into her graveyard. "I mill the top card of my deck, and lose my privilege of Normal Summoning this turn. However, I add an equip card from my deck or Graveyard to my hand," she said, extracting a card. "I choose Darkworld Shackles!" (Response?) "I activate Darkworld Shackles, equipping them to your Reaper. The equipped monster's ATK and DEF become 100, and it can't attack," Lucia explained. (Response?) Lucia repeated. Clearly someone hadn't been paying attention. There was only card he had any chance of identifying with great probability as a Trap card, since the only cards she had gotten from his Spell were Spell cards, both of which she used this turn, and at least one had to be a monster card in order for her to have tried to activate Morphtronic Accelerator. She didn't comment further and instead slid two cards into the rear slots of her disk. Another skeleton mage appeared, along with another with a feather head-dress and a different robe. "Now I'll conduct my Battle Phase. Hundred Eyes Dragon, attack Legendary Flame- Sorcerer of Lava!"
