"Hmph." Raize scoffed, turning to Caden. "So you forfeit your freedom to them... I can see it in your eyes. Those aren't the eyes of my brother... Those are the eyes of a broken soul." Raize said. "But thank you for returning that to me." Raize said. "I'm sure you won't give it up so easily... Duel me, then." Raize said. "We'll duel anyways, so why not? I win, I'll be taking my card back. You win..." Raize said, pullin out another card. "I'll give up my Stardust Dragon." Raize said. "It seems pretty fair to me. But, if we duel, we do what we do best. A Riding Duel." Raize said, activating his Duel Board, and shuffling his deck. "Now, lets go." Raize said, pushing off.

Caden looked down at Raize. Then, he snapped his fingers in his left hand and a black, winged Duel Board materialized in the air. As it fell towards the ground, Caden did a backflip, catching it by the feet. He then continued to accelerate in front of Raize.

"Well, that means I go first...How convenient..." he sneered. "Now, to do what my old self would never do. Draw!" Caden yelled, gripping the top card of his deck. "Arise, Cyber-Mutation Serpent!" Caden declared as he sent a card from his hand and a card from his deck to the Graveyard. "I can Special Summon him when at least one of us controls no monsters by discarding a card and sending a DARK monster from my Deck to my Graveyard" Caden explained as he prepared to play another card. "Now, the card in my graveyard activates!" Caden declared, as another dragon appeared. "Meet Drakia-Mutation Wyvern!" Caden yelled as Cyber-Mutation Serpent began to glow. "Now, Cyber-Mutation Serpent's effect activates, allowing me to draw 2 cards since I Special Summoned a Level 4 monster from my graveyard!" Caden explained, picking up 2 cards. "But I'll give you a chance; I'm not going to normal Summon this turn, so I'll end my turn with these 2 face-downs" Caden slid two cards into his duel disk.

And you live till the day it truly is your last. After all... Dying is the day worth living for!" Raize recited. "Now, my turn! Draw!" (SPC: 2) "I discard my Stardust Afterimage to Special Summon my Stardust Kinght!" Raize said, as a knight in white, glimmering armoire appeared. (ATK: 2200/DEF: 1700/Level 5) "I can Special Summon this card by discarding a Stardust card from my hand. And since my Afterimage was discarded, and I control a Stardust monster when his effect activates, I recieve two Stardust tokens!" Raize said. "Next, I'll lay 3 cards face-down!" Raize said. "Turn end!"

"Pitiful and disappointing...It makes me wonder why my old self ever looked up to you...Now, draw!" Caden snatched another card. "Now...I Summon Shadowfire-Mutation Draco!" a black and red shadowy dragon appeared and shot a blast of lava at Raize. "When he's normal summoned while I control 2 or more Mutation monsters, you take damage equal to their total Level times 200. That means 2000 points of damage are coming straight at you!" Caden called. "Now..." his eyes flashed even more red. "The blue flames in hell appears; The doors to the underworld will create a gateway for the showering of souls! Arise and feed on your foe, Transmutation Duos!" Caden shouted as his three monsters collided, forming a twin-headed, blue-colored dragon. "Now, his effect allows me to equip your Stardust Knight to it!" The dragon let out a shriek, where sinister white shadows engulfed the knight. "Now, you may think I'm letting you off easy, but I assure you, you'll be finished soon enough" Caden said as he removed Drakia from play. "Turn end"

Whenever I would take effect damage while I control a Stardsut monster, that damage is negated, and I can summon a level 1 Stardust monster from me deck! I summon my Stardust Lung!" Raize said, as the Chinese lung appeared. "But that's all..." Raize said, as Stardust Knight was absorbed by Caden's beast. "My turn, draw!" Raize said, drawing. (SPC: 4) "Trap Card, open! Synchro Material!" Raize said. "This allows me to use a card on your field as a Synchro Material monster! I'm taking back my Knight now!" Raize declared, as the knight returned. "Now, I'm tuning my level 1 Stardust Lung with my 2 level 1 Stardust Tokens and my Level 5 Stardust Knight!" Raize said, as the three monsters flew through the one green ring that had appeared. "Clustering wishes will bring forth a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!" Raize said, as the glimmering white dragon appeared. "Stardust Knight's effect activates! When I use him for the Synchro Summon of a Stardust Monster, I can revive another Stardust monster in my grave. I revive my Stardust Lung!" Raize said, as the chinese lung reappeared. "Now, I Normal Summon my Stardust Silverwing!" Raize said. (ATK: 1900/DEF: 1700/Level 4) "Now, I'm tuning my Level 1 Stardust Ling with my Level 4 Stardust Silverwing!" Raize said, as the Synchro process repeated. "Clustering wishes will give rise to a new soul! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! My blazing spirit, Stardust's Familiar!" Raize said, as another warrior in white armour appeared. (ATK: 2400/DEF: 2100/Level 5) "Without Shooting Star Dragon, I have to use an alternative... This is what I'll do." Raize thought. "I activate the Speed Spell - Speed Fusion!" Raize said. "While I have at least 4 Speed Counters, I send Fusion Material monsters on my field or in my hand to the Grave to Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster that lists those Fusion Material monsters!" Raize explained. "I fuse my Stardust Dragon with my Stardust's Familiar!" Raize said, as both monsters were sucked into a portal, which began spinning violently. "Fusion Summon! Noble Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste!" Raize declared, as a strangely-colored dragon appeared. (ATK: 3200) It had strangely-colored armor as well, and was holding a long javelin. "Draco-Equiste! Attack his Duos! Spiral Javelin!" Raize commanded, as the knight hurled his spear at the other dragon.

(OOC: You shouldn't be able to conduct your Battle Phase because of Synchro Material, but I'll allow it. In addition, Duos could negate Synchro Material, but I'll refrain from doing that as well)

""When Transmutation Duos is destroyed, he automatically Summons any monster that was ever equipped to it, so Stardust Knight comes to me!" the knight burst out of a blue portal onto Caden's side. "My draw!" Caden declared, snatching a card from his deck. I'm Summoning my Hellfire-Mutation Shroud (Level 4: ATK/1600 DEF/900). Now, I'm Tributing him to Special Summon a Mutation monster from my graveyard, so welcome back Transmutation Duos!" Caden declared. "But he won't be here long; I'm Tributing it to Special Summon Transmutation Tritos from my Extra Deck, which is counted as a Synchro Summon" Caden't dragon replaced itself with a blue, triple-headed dragon (ATK: 3300). "Now, he calls forth 2 Transmutation Glorica Counters, which now prevent his destruction by card effects! Finally, Tritos will attack Draco-Equiste!" The triple headed dragon shot a trident blast at the knight. "Now, I'm ending my turn" Caden said. "If you don't stop me by next turn, you're finished" he thought, sneering.

"That won't work on me! Trap Card, open! NEXUS Memories!" Raize said. "This card will be my way of saving you!" Raize said. "NEXUS Memories allows me to select a number of Synchro monsters in my graveyard, and remove them from play! Then, we both lose Life Points equal to the combined Attack of both monsters! I remove Stardust Dragon and Stardust's Familiar! Altogether, that's 4900!" Raize said. "Now, we both lose!" Raize said, as his Duel Board slowed down, and his Life Points hit zero. "Without Shooting Star Dragon, I couldn't win..." Raize thought.

"Tch...coward..." Caden scoffed, turning to Raize as his Duel Board vanished. "As I said, you're a disappointment" Caden walked away angrily. "And you didn't win, so I guess Shooting Star Dragon isn't going back to you" he said mockingly. "Now, what should I do?" Caden looked sinisterly down at the blank Shooting Star Dragon. "Unfortunately for you, this doesn't belong with me either" he touched the card and it vanished (Ooc: back to Saveedro). "You can assure that next time, things won't go the same way" he turned away from Raize, turning back to his almost emotionless form.

The man chuckled. [color=#FFA500]"Alright, then. I activate TGSX1-DX2!"[/color]
Lancer Paladin blew up, and the man drew 4 cards.
[color=#FFA500]"Normally, by destroying my Paladin, I would get to draw 2 cards, but my Paladin, whenever he is destroyed, allows me to draw 2 more!"[/color]
He then placed two of the cards in his hand face-down on the field.

"Who's more of a coward? The one who fights using his own power, only to lose, or the one who fights using the power of others?" Raize said. "You're drowning in the darkness now. You can pull yourself out." Raize continued. "Remember what dad used to say?" Raize asked. "He always said the same thing every time... 'You lost something again. But, if you just look inside yourself, and remember that you're never alone, then you'll find what you've lost. Even if you didn't realize you'd lost it.'" Raize quoted. "Those were the words that kept us going after we left the Academy the first time. It's what's kept us going all these years." Raize said. "If you can't remember... Then what exactly are you fighting for? For yourself? For whoever did this to you? What are you getting out of this?" Raize asked.

[Zextra]

"Dad doesn't mean a thing to me, and neither do you!" Caden stated back, emotionlessly. "And I haven't lost anything...yet...but once I lose you, I'll become even stronger" Caden explained, turning slightly towards Raize. "Next time, I'll defeat you, even with your Shooting Star Dragon..." Caden turned back and started walking away. Suddenly, Caden's eyes returned to normal. He looked around and saw Raize. "R-Raize...What are we still doing here? And what happened?" Caden asked. Then, he remembered what happened. He quickly ran over to Raize, and forced something under his cloak. "Raize, take this for now...Use it well until you get Shooting Star back..." he said. "And...sorry..." he looked back at Raize, then prepared to get up.

[Dementuo]

"I knew that there was still a piece of you in there." Raize said. He took that card, and hid it in his deck without lookin at it. "Now hurry. They'll be expecting you." Raize said. "They wouldn't just let you go, I don't think. And you can get some information for us." Raize said. "You're strong enough as it is. You won't need any more power than what you have. Remember that, even if they try to take control of you again." Raize said. "Now then... I should go." Raize said. "Disappearing during the second day of school isn't a good thing. I'll get you back... Eventually." Raize said, trailing off at the end.

[Zextra]

"It's not that simple, Raize..." Caden said as he attempted to walk away. "Well, then..." he thought, glancing back at Raize. "What's happened could turn out to be an advantage for us later, though I must be careful. If I'm not, then this "disguise" woldl seem fairly obvious" Caden thought, heading back to the Twilight Invaders hideout. "Now, all I have to do is act like I'm still with them..." he thought as he strode past the forest, entering the hideout.

Hiro was waiting at the entrance of the Hideout. The impulse inside of him that he found earlier had taken a slight shift. He was just re-reading the effect of Blood Red Dragon for the millionth time. He looked up at Caden and placed his mask back on. The card remained in his hand as he quickly re-read it again. He waited for Caden to come into view before he acknowledged his existence. "Hmmmm...." He said. His eyes stuck on Caden's eyes. "Your not still brain-washed... are you?" He asked. The look in Caden's eyes had suggested that Hiro guessed right. "Perfect... now... You don't mind If I borrow you for a little... do you?" Hiro decided that asking nicely would get him farther to his objective than just another brain-washing.

[Zextra]

Caden slowly approached the hideout, where he was confronted by the masked man. "So, you noticed?" Caden asked, sneering at the masked man. "Unfortunately, I already saw who you are, and now I know who you really are....Hiro..." Caden looked up at Hiro defiantly. "But I must thank you...thanks for that brainwashing - it gave me all the information I needed to know about this place" he grinned. "Now, back to what you were saying - what do you mean by "borrow me"?" he asked Hiro, glaring at him.

Hiro Removed his mask and looked down at the boy. He placed his precious Blood Red Dragon in his deck on his belt under his cloak and rebuttoned it. He began to think about his plan and decided if it was worth it. Then he looked of into the distence and then back at Caden. He smirked and decided the plan was more than worth the risk. "I just need to borrow a little of your time... that won't be to much of a problem now, would it?" He said as he set out his left hand behind him and a large Black and red portal appeared. "It is just a little walk... that is all I want." Hiro said, his face had a serious expresion on it.

"Whatever..." Caden answered. "But...I'll be sure to keep my distance...who knows what will happen if I'm not careful..." he thought as he walked alongside Hiro. "Just what are you guys after anyways?" Caden asked Hiro, ready for any type of unexpected actions Hiro mght make. "and for that matter, why are you enrolled in Duel Academy as well? Stealth purposes?" Caden asked with a demanding voice.

"Desna?" Lucia repeated, wondering whether the name was familiar to her or not, finally concluding that no, it wasn't. "I'm Lucia Votaski, but let's resume."

She drew a card and promptly announced: "I activate Power Tool Dragon's effect. Of three selected equip cards, 1 is randomly added to my hand."

A card slipped from her deck and she showed it to Desna. "Morphtronic Cord," she said. "I'll Equip it to my Celfon. Now whenever it changes its Battle Position, I destroy one Spell or Trap card."

"Now, I switch Celfon back to ATK position, which activates Cord, and I choose to destroy the card on the left," she said, pointing her finger towards the aforementioned card on Desna's field.

Hiro walked into the portal and on to the long white line that appears in the Inter-dimension. He kept walking a little the started to speak without looking back at Caden. "Listen... okay... I'm not exactly sure what that old man wants, or what he plans to achieve. The Goals of the Twillight Invaders was never exactly clear to me. Caden, I have something I want to ask of you, but first I will give you a little background on why..." Hiro said, he kept walking while he talked.

Caden looked at Hiro, apparently confused. "Why are you telling me this? Aren't you part of their group?" Caden asked. "And about your question, ask it, but I'm not guaranteeing an answer for it..." Caden said, still untrusting. "From the way he's talking, it seems like that man is the leader of their group. As soon as I'm finished talking here, I'll report back to Raize" he thought, still following Hiro. As he continued to walk, he reached the portal. Caden stepped inside and caught up with Hiro.

Hiro Smiled as he kept walking, being sure to be at least a bit in head of Caden so he couldn't see. "Caden... I don't have any memory of my child hood, I am forced to be a part of this group for reasons I can't understand. But there are things I do know, things that I can't stop alone. These People are bad people... They want these cards... These... 'Reverse Lord' cards. With them, the power can allow them to carry out whatever dark scheme the old man has in mind. I can't let that happen... So I beg, from the bottom of my heart, Will you help me? Caden... If these people are not stopped, the future will not be a bright one. Do you want that future for yourself and your brother?" They stop at a portal that is watching over Raize. "Go to your brother, practice with your power, you two are not quite ready yet... and please, think about what I have asked of you today." Hiro said, the smile on his face was gone before they stopped at the portal.

[Zextra]

"I understand" Caden said, smiling at Hiro for the first time. "As for you, good luck" With that, Caden continued to dash through the portal. He landed in a grassy patch and proceeded to run back to the Obelisk dorms to report to Raize. He opened the door to his room and entered. "Raize, I have some info on those guys...the Twilight Invaders..." Caden began. "They're after some special cards that are embedded in this islands, the Reverse Lords. In addition, who they call their leader is the one that currently has your Shooting Star Dragon" Caden explained, reiterating everything that Hiro had told him. "And...that we need to get stronger in order to stop them" he finished, looking down.

[Dementuo]

"Good job, Caden." Raize said. "Now, we just need to find out where they are..." Raize began. Before he could finish, Saveedro appeared behind him. He hit the side of Raize's neck, knocking him out. Raize began to fall, but Saveedro caught. "Don't worry, I only want to borrow him for a minute. I have some things that I need to discuss with him." Saveedro said menacingly. "Feel free to follow me, if you like. Perhaps you'll find something that you didn't know." Saveedro continued. "Well, I'll be going now." Saveedro finished, disappearing into an open portal behind him, and dragging Raize in along with him.

[Zextra]

Shocked at the sudden turn of events, Caden watched helplessly as Raize was struck down. As Saveedro stepped into the portal, Caden quickly stood up. "..." Caden gritted his teeth as he sprinted into the portal without thinking before it closed. When they reached wherever they were, Caden stumbled out of the portal. "Haven't we had enough of you guys for one day?" Caden asked, apparently frustrated. "And what is it with you and trying to assault us?!" he demanded.

[Dementuo]

There was only what appeared to be a hologram of Saveedro standing in front of Caden. There was also a hologram of what appeared to be Zero, as he looked like a much older version of Raize. The hologram of Saveedro spoke. "What's the matter? Don't remember how things work?" the hologram said, though it noticed none of the motions made by Zero's hologram. "You should see yourself. You're like a rat, lost in a maze, trying to find the way out. 'Is it over here, is it over there, is it somewhere I can't find?'" The hologram chuckled. "Find those six cards, Zero. And don't keep me waiting forever." The hologram finished. It then disappeared, along with Zero's hologram, and Raize then appeared. Suddenly, the room around them vanished, and they were back inside their dorm. Raize got up, and groaned a bit. "Ugh... What was that?"
