"......." The woman frowned. Then began to count. "Hundred, Necro, Scarecrow, Face Down.... 4 Overall."
Grudgingly, she drew 4 cards from her deck, and smiled. Only for a split second, however.
"Proceed. I hav drawn my cards. Now continue, before I break the rules of Duel Monsters and set Hundred Eyes Dragon after you." The dragon itself stared intently at Jackson, waiting for the order.

[Chaos Number: Card Master]

"Now we both have four cards in our hand," said Jackson. He knew it was time for his ace monster. "Now by removing from play one card in my graveyard," he said as he removed his Legendary Flame - Bug of the Volcano from play. "I can special summon Legendary Flame - The Dragon Youngling, then I normal summon Skull of Fire," said Jackson. The time was coming close his ace monster was about to rise. "I tune my Level One The Dragon Youngling with my Level 1 Skull of Fire and Level 8 Sorcerer of the Lava to synchro summon Legendary Flame - Knight of the Lava," said Jackson. Now his ace monster was on the field. "Now feel the pain, Knight of the Lava attack One Hundred Eye Dragon," said Jackson. The dragon began to attack.

The woman's hand shot to her face down. "I activate my face down, Depth Amulet! By sending one card in my hand to the graveyard, I can negate the attack of your Legendary Flames - Knight of Lava!"
A small, holographic amulet appeared, swinging at the Knight of Lava, holding it back.
Momentarily, the woman went over her plan.
[i]"Ok, my face down hold the key to all this. I use it, and activate a large chain that can give me victory. Only, that Knight of Lava contradicts that. By destroying One Hundred Eyes Dragon, my entire chain falls apart at its centerpoint.... Crap."[/i]

[Chaos Number: Card Master]

"Ok now I negate the effect of Scrap Iron Scarecrow and send one card in my hand to the graveyard," said Jackson the scarecrow was destroyed saving one lot of trouble. "Now I continue my attack," the Knight went up and booth the Dragon and the Knight were destroyed. "Now when my knight is destroyed i can revive one other card from my graveyard, return Sorcerer of the Lava," said Jackson. Everything was in his favour now all he needed to realise on was the fact that she didn't empty her hand and get her dragon back. "I end my turn," said Jackson.

[Techi☺]

The masked man chuckled out loud. His mask's mouth had split open with rigid pieces to resemble teeth. A glowing eye appeared at the top of his mask and lots of black mist was cycling out from the ground his Duel runner was going over. "I activate the effect of my Trap card!" The card image stood to reaveal a picture of a dragon breathing fire on a village. But, the Name of the card was not readable, because of all the black mist. "This trap card was activated when you activated the effect of your dragon!" The masked man let out enother chuckle. "It'll destroy both of your monsters and we'll all take damage for their attack points! That leaves you two at zero!" The masked man leaned his duel runner to the side and caught a rock off the ground. He turned the Duel runner and popped a wheelie, chucking the rock at Caden's D-board.

[Zextra]

Caden flinched as the massive blast blew off his dragon along with all his Life Points. (Caden LP: 0). As he tried to stop his Duel Board, a rock was hurled at it. However, as it was about to hit, a figure of a Stardust Dragon blocked it, knocking it out of Caden't way. Caden staggered backwards, recovering from the last attack's impact as his Duel Board and his Duel Disk deactivated. "How does a card like that exist?" he whimpered weakly as he slowly walked towards Raize.

[Dementuo]

"Shooting Star Dragon's effect activates!" Raize said. "Each turn, I can negate the effect of a card that would destroy cards on the field, and destroy it!" Raize said. "Damn... This would be better if I had Stardust out instead of Shooting Star... Stardust could remove itself, and cause the card to lose its target, negating the effect altogether." Raize thought. "But that can't be helped..." Raize thought. Raize then noticed the rock heading towards Caden. "Stardust Token! Go!" Raize ordered. With those words, the token threw itself in front of the rock, and the rock bounced off the token, keeping Caden safe. "That's even worse... I just had to reveal my own powers... I didn't want to do that in front of this guy..." Raize thought.

[Techi☺]

The duel ended with the masked man chuckling and just sitting on his Duel-runner, it had morphed a little in the duel and the black spots grew larger, leaving tiny red lines in between them. "Wrong, the effect of my Trap card cannot be chained, its misforntunate that I will have to give it back to my friend. But I won't be taking it back alone!" The masked man said as he charged past Raize on his duel runner, he threw his right hand into the air and Blood Red Dragon appeared again, it charged for Caden. The masked man accelerated his Duel-runner as a Red and Black door like object appeared out of the ground not to far away.

[Dementuo]

"What?!" Raize thought, as his Shooting Star Dragon exploded. His life counter hit zero, his Duel Board stopped, and Raize jumped off. He noticed the masked man riding towards Caden, and Raize quickly placed a card back onto his Duel Disk. "Stardust Dragon! Go and protect Caden!" Raize said, still weak from the impact. Stardust Dragon fired off a blast at the masked man, but it passed right through him, doing absolutely nothing. "What...?! Am I too weak to use my power again?" Raize thought. "No..." Raize said weakly. Seconds later, he collapsed.

[Techi☺]

The Duel Runner ran into the Red and black object that was in front of it and dissipeared. The Big dragon with blood red scales, had captured the boy and leaned forwared a bit, ducking down to fit into the portal that The masked man had constructed. The Dragon caught up to the Masked man, His Duel runner was riding on a long white line that was about wide enough to fit five duel runners. The place inside the portal had many white lines in the back ground with objects just like the one The masked man had went into, these objects sat at each end of the lines. The masked man threw his left hand back and the Portal-object he just used vanished and the line slowly started to crumble. The Duel Runner sped up.

They reached the end of the white line and popped out of the last portal as they left the inter-Dimension and appeared in front of a large hide-out. This place was so well hidden on the island, that it appears the only way to it is the inter-dimension. The Dragon dropped Caden and The masked man dragged him inside.

When Caden came to, he was being dragged inside some kind of chamber. However, his body refused to move. However, once he remembered what happened, he desperately tried to get up. As he got his legs off the ground, he started to fight back. Caden struggled and eventually tore through the masked man's grip, getting free, and attempted to run off. "What is this place, and what do these guys want with me?" he kept asking himself as he forced his aching body through the mysterious building.

[Renzoku Kira-]

Aiden was just informed of the location to which he would bring the map and the layout. He went out to the yard in front of the hut, and activated his black and orange duel runner. He then opened up a portal which will take him to the location faster. As he drove into the portal Aiden was looking at the inside of it. On the inside of the portal he saw green lines all around him, and he was getting very distracted by the lines. "Who in their right mind invented this portal with green lines? Just makes me want to keep staring at them, but if I do I will get trapped inside here for who knows how long."Aiden said as he brought his focus back to the path the duel runner was on. He could see the green lines stopped about 15 feet in front of him, and from that point on the area got dark. As Aiden arrived at the hideout he followed the instructions given to him to wait outside. He couldn't help notice the scenery around him as he waited. He could see the stars perfectly from this spot so he would just lie back on his duel runner, and watched stars until his fellow Twilight Invader arrived for the drop off.

The masked man ran down the rows of Chambers, it was more like a hallway in the basement with many room connected to it. He lunched out and caught the boy in his right arm as he touched his left hand to the boy's eyes. Making Caden fall asleep on impact. The masked man dragged the boy back down the hallway and into the chamber from before. He strapped Caden into a chair and gently walk around the room to find the snack bar he had in here from the other day. He found it in the little baggie he left it in and took a bite before he sat his right hand on Caden's eyes.

[Dementuo]

"Are you just going to sit there and stare at the back of your hand all day?" Saveedro said sarcastically. "So, who is this kid?" Saveedro asked. He took a step out of the shadows, and closer to the masked man. "So, you're trying to brain-wash him? Well, you might want to take his iCard." Saveedro said. "Like this one." Saveedro continued, holding up Shooting Star Dragon's blank card. "The things that bring up the most memories are always the things that break those chains of yours. Don't you remember your many failures before this one?" Saveedro asked. "Either way, I only need this." Saveedro said. "You can keep whatever else falls out of him." Saveedro finished. "As for me, I've got other buisiness to attend to." Saveedro said, walking out the door of the room, and back into the shadows.

[Techi☺]

The masked man sighed, the old man was gone. [i]"I just wonder why I am such a dissapointment to him, the last one went fine and so should this one! He doesn't have to keep popping out of the shadows and critizising me like im some kind of four year old! One of these days he'll regret it!"[/i] The masked man thought. The memories of Caden was like a little rush of electricity through the masked man's ungloved hand. He took another bite out of the snack bar and wondered if what he was doing to this boy was right.

The Masked man came out from the building, his snack bar was gone and his powers became dorment again, leaving the mask normal and his hair flat again. His Duel-runner remained as he stepped out and found Aiden, who is supposed to have brought whatever the task he went on told him too. "Hey, Aiden, did you bring it? You got it right? You know things won't go well if we don't have it, so you got it?..." The masked man's voice returned to normal with his mask and his eyes gleamed their normal color while he eyed over what Aiden had.

[Renzoku Kira-]

"Of course I have it. You think I would show up if I didn't have it."Aiden said as he passed Hiro the map and layout. "When I was walking to the Academy I noticed you in a duel with two others, and I am guessing you won?"He said with a smile on his face. After he handed over the map Aiden reached into his bag, and removed a water bottle from it. [i]For some reason I feel like that portal has made me really thirsty. I wonder if that is a side effect of the portal.[/i] He took a big sip out of the water bottle before putting it back in his bag.

Hiro Grinned and removed his mask and looked at the papers. He made a few noises that suggested that he'd be thinking and considering some kind of secret/special/important plans or something, when he wasn't. "I will take these maps and other documents straight to the plans room!" Hiro said as he took another look over them. "So... how'd the mission go exactly?... any issues you run into? Anything I should now?... Any students that gave you any problems?" He laughed as he considered telling Aiden about his little project in the basement.

[Renzoku Kira-]

"Everything went smoothly. With the exception for this guard who was asleep in the hall."Aiden said smiling."The breaking and entering was the easy part, but having to escape without being seen in all the madness was the hard part. I barely made it out unseen since everyone was screaming about some explosions. You’re lucky you have this hideout. Every other place on this island is being torn apart by the students looking for us."Aiden announced as he bent down to clean off some mud that got on his duel runner.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

The man pointed his hand into the air, and his monsters were catapulted up by some unseen force.

Wonder Magician, which was leading Booster along, went higher, and then turned into 5 rings, which Booster entered, becoming 5 stars. The synchro array exploded in a massive column of light, and a giant shape crashed down onto the man's side of the field. When the light cleared, a giant white and gold-armored warrior with two lances that had drills on the end had appeared. (3400 ATK)
[color=#FFA500]"Now the effect of my Booster activates! When he is used for the Synchro Summon of a Tech Genus Synchro Monster, that monster gains 600 ATK!"[/color]
A blazing aura surrounded the giant knight. (3400 ATK -> 4000 ATK)
[color=#FFA500]"Lancer Paladin, attack Power Tool Dragon! Jump Jet Joust!"[/color]
The huge paladin activated thrusters on his back, and charged at the dragon, drill-lances spinning rapidly.

"I activate my Trap," Lucia countered without a trace of concern. "No Entry!" She smiled slightly. "All ATK position monsters on the field are shifted to Defense Position." As the Trap flipped up, her Celfon and Dragon began to take more defensive poses, a similar effect creeping over the opposing Synchro monsters. Lucia kept her face calm and in control. It would have been a smarter choice to attack her Celfon. Its 100 ATK made it a prime target for a 4000 ATK monster, and considering Power Tool Dragon was equipped with Mist Body, attacking it seemed like a pointless choice, since it still wouldn't do the most damage. The inability to be defeated in battle meant it wouldn't need to part with its Equip to prevent its destruction.

So just what was the man planning?

Caden opened his eyes and found himself tied to a chair in some kind of basement chamber. After the "procedure", his appearance did not appear to change...except one thing. Instead of his dark, blue eyes, his pupils were now red. He looked around, observing the mysterious room. He struggled, but could not wriggle the ropes off. He thought for a moment, but could not remember anything that happened. He knew who he was, but just about everything else was a blur. Eventually, Caden stopped moving and just sat there, waiting for something to happen.

[Dementuo]

Saveedro stepped out of the shadows once more, and took a long look at Caden. "So... Who are you supposed to be? Hiro's new puppet?" Saveedro said darkly. "Ah, that doesn't matter. Listen up, kid. You've got something I want, and I have something you want. But for you to get what you want, I first have to get what I want. And to get what I want, I need you." Saveedro said. "And it's as simple as telling me one little thing; What was your father's name?" Saveedro asked. "Now, I don't expect you to remember right after what you've been put through, but I will give you a little push. To help you out." Saveedro said, a little more quietly. Saveedro slipped a card out of his sleeve, and handed it to Caden. It was the blank Synchro card. "You know what this is, no? I thought so." Saveedro said quietly. "Now... What was his name?" Saveedro repeated.

[Zextra]

Caden's first instinct was to yell "Why should I tell you?", but something made him respond differently. "Zero..." Caden responded monotonously, now looking down at the ground, avoiding eye contact with Saveedro. He raised his head slightly to look at the blank Synchro card. Upon seeing it, Caden't eyes flashed the natural blue color for a split second but almost immediately reverted back to their new red color. "I don't need that..." a voice in his head said, as Caden's head lowered.

[Dementuo]

Saveedro's eyes changed ever so slightly. The change was almost invisible, but he seemed a bit surprised at hearing the name. "So it's true... You really are his kid." Saveedro said. "Hmm... That means..." Saveedro thought. "Nevermind. Well kid, you've helped me out quite a bit. I've been searching for him for quite some time now." Saveedro said. "But I insist. Just take the card. You might need it." Saveedro said. "Now then..." Saveedro began. The ropes broke only a second after he spoke those words. "...Go on, get moving. You've got a lot to do." Saveedro finished. "But, I leave you with one last warning. The doors you open... They don't close behind you." Saveedro said, with a slightly menacing tone to his voice. With that, he disappeared back into the shadows once more.

-MEANWHILE-

raize woke up, and looked down at his Duel Disk. "Shooting Star Dragon... It's gone." Raize thought, noticing his Accel Synchro missing. Raize got up, walked over to his duel board, picked it up, and began to walk back towards the Academy. "I still have Stardust, though..." Raize thought. "But Caden... I hope you're alright. I didn't spend most of my life without you just to lose you again." Raize thought.

[Zextra]

"Yes, sir..." Caden said, leaving the room. He made his way to the area in the forest where he and Raize dueled the masked man, where he found Raize. He grinned. "Target, found...commence takedown" he said quietly as he approached Raize. "So, "brother", how have you been since that duel? Well, I hope?" he asked in a sinister manner. "Anyways, I hope you aren't planning to come out of this forest anytime soon, because you'll be spending a looong time here after I'm finished with you" he sneered. "And, for that matter, are you missing something?" he asked mockingly as he held out the blank Synchro card.
