[PG-13] Neo Duel Academy: Twilight Invaders Arc 1 - The Approaching Invasion [Started/Accepting via OOC/IC Thread]

"Correction: Can't this island stay quiet for at least one day..." Caden teased as he flopped himself onto his bed. "However...I'm not sure who I just dueled...he just randomly appeared and forced me into a duel by the lighthouse. Then, when he lost, the pier broke and he was sucked into a portal that he opened at the beginning of the duel..." Caden explained. "and something tells me that dad was hiding something when he left us..." Caden whispered.

Out of the ocean's mist a small fishing boat could been seen making its way from the horizon. The small boat traveled at a steady pace and soon arrived at the docks of Duel Academy. Once the boat was properly tied to the docks, a rater large and grizzled man exited the boat. The large man stroked his finger through his scratchy beard, which resembled a tumbleweed. The man held an angry look upon his face, the large man quickly turned towards the ship.

" Norris, ya lazy bum it's time to shake a leg. Come on and get out here,before I drag you out." The Large man yelled.

Soon after the large man shouted a young man exited the boat, holding a book in his hand and a Ra yellow jacket over his shoulder. The man that exited the boat had a rather unenthusiastic look upon his face.

" Hey Norris get your game face on and yer but in gear yer lazy sea dog." The large man shouted once more.

" Ok, ok I heard you the first time dad." Norris replied.

Norris took the time to strech before walking up to his father, Norris eyes widen as he took in the view of the island. Norris may have not expressed it, but Norris was rather excited about finally arriving to Duel Academy.

" Catch" Norris's father said as he threw Norris his duel disk and deck.

" Thanks dad" Norris replied

" So son, how about a duel before I take off." The father said with a wide grin upon his face.

Norris simply waved his hand as if he was swatting away a fly. " No thanks, you bore me."

A brief moment of silence filled the air between the two men before rage struck the man. Norris father's face turned red and veins began to spring up onto his neck.

" Why you little low life, barnacle face, snot nose, @#$, @#%^&#, @#$@#, little prick. I bore you, I bore you, of all the..." The large man continued to rant and yell, his voice continued to rise until the two men broke out into laughter.

" Dad you really are a hot head, you know that right?"

" Ha trust me son, once you spend half your life out at sea yelling is the only way for yer to vent. But your right my old water deck cant stand up to you any more " The large man said with a smile upon his face.

Norris smiled and tought to himself [ If pops was able to form some strategies in his dueling style, rather than filling his deck up with strong water monsters, he might give me a run fom my money.]

Norris's dad waved goodbye as he got back ontop the fishing boat. " Make yer mother proud ok." he yelled as the boat soon returned to the sea.

Norris waited for the boat to be out of sight before leaving the docks.

" Well here I am, but where do I go now?" Norris said with a sigh.

Jennifer was flying across the Ocean, with her Red Slifer jacket lying behind her back. Her duel runner was custom made, so it could transform. she arived on the island, hoping for a duel. She saw a young Obelisk blue kid, about 11 or so. Her dark spirit came upon her, scaring the child. "Hey! You. Duel me, or I'll pummel you!" The kid quivered, but still accepted. "O-OK" "You go first!" Jen felt bad about this, but she had trouble controling her dark side. Her Duel Disk and Runner were also covered in a Purple cloud, and her pupils were a dark purple. "Al-Alright. I summon Radioactive Warrior. Now, I activate his effect. By discarding one Non-Radioactive monster, I can Special Summon one Radioactive monster of equal level. I discard Dark Tree, and special summon one Radioactive Destroyer. (3000 ATK)I-I end my turn." Huh, this kid is pretty good, thought Jennifer, but not good enough, " My turn. Draw! I summon my Dummy Grave-digger. (Atk: 1700 Def: 1000)With it's effect, I can select one monster in your graveyars, and special summon it. I summon Dark tree. Now, I activate Dummy Feeder. By sacrficing one non-dummy-monster, I can special summon one Dummy Monster. I pick Dummy Fighter. I now acitivate Dummy Bomb! Now I attack with my dummy monsters." A large Bomb appeared and exploded, destroying all non-Dummy monsters on the field, and the kid was clutching his stomach, before passing out. Jennifer stromed away laughing. The dark spirit left her, and Jen passed out.

Sunrise came and went, and Lucia awoke to her alarm clock. She groaned slightly and turned it off, getting out of bed and searching for her clean clothes. Once dressed and groomed to her preferences, she looked outside, nodding. Sure enough, it was another day, and everything seemed to have settled down from the chaotic night the other day. She threw on her yellow jacket, double checked her deck's contents, and hooked the deck box to her hip, ending by strapping her disk to her arm. Just another day at the Academy. Unfortunately, she couldn't remember the day of the week, so it was easier to go up to the school and assume there were classes, rather than the more embarrassing method of asking the next person she came across.

Stepping outside the Yellow dorm building, she began her walk to the Academy building. She always got up earlier than was strictly necessary so she could enjoy the walk.

"Either way, we're going to be the center of attention, it seems... [i]Again[/i]..." Raize sighed. "Hey, Caden... Look at that." Raize said, as he began to walk outside. He reached the edge of a cliff, where the sun was beginning to rise. "The sun's rising..." Raize chuckled a bit. "This sight never gets old to me... Well, Caden? It looks like we have another adventure ahead of us." Raize said. [i]"And a limit that I must surpass... I wasn't able to win with the Accel's alternative... There must be something at the end of it... And the end of a new way of fighting... Fighting without the speed that I've relied on... Fighting without the Accel Synchro."[/i] Raize thought. "Yeah... If there's something waiting for us at the end of this, then we'll find it. And when we do..." Raize turned to Caden. "We'll surpass it, and make sure it's never exposed to any darkness!" Raize said encouragingly. "Now let's go, Caden. We've got a job to do."

Jackson woke up. He was still in the middle of the forest where he collapsed the previous night. Everything started to flash through his head from the night before. He only just lost the duel. If he could if held of for another turn he would of won. Then he remembered something important. [i]Twilight Invader's. That is who she is with[/i] he thought. Then he looked around. All the other body's were in alot worse condition then his. Why? [i]There is someone who wants to kill you more than me[/i] Juliet's words echoed through his head. Who could it be? All Jackson knew was that he had to spread the word about these Twilight Invader's. He sprinted to the Academy Building to try to find the Headmaster

Caden yawned as the sunlight fluttered into the room. He pulled himself out of his bed and followed Raize outside. He sat down on the cliff. "Nope...it doesn't get any better than this..." Caden smiled, seeing the sun's reflection on the blue sea. He stared at the view for a while before Raize turned towards him (as seen inthe post above). He looked up at Raize. "Yeah, we'll surpass it" he said as he smiled. "Now, we just have to find out how to do it..." Caden thought as he looked down at the sea. "I just wish I weren't always such a burden...especially to Raize" he thought, doubtfully as he got up. "And for that reason I must train that much harder - I need to unlock my own way to surpass the Accel Synchro..." he gave a rough smile and turned back towards Raize. "Anytime you're ready!"

Jackson charged through the forest. He knew he had to get to the chancellor as soon as possible. [i]This is a great way to start the day, charging through a forest to tell the chancellor about some people who attacked last night[/i] he thought. This Juliet person must of been pretty crazy. [i]What are we protecting?[/i] he also thought. She did say something about us protecting something important. He just blocked that thought out of his mind. He than made it to the Academy Building. He saw heaps of people around the building. He went for the door than...

As Jackson entered the door, he was confronted by a woman with a black dress. "You, boy..." Tamra said. She unhooked the strap on her arm, where her deck was kept. She activated her duel disk, placed her deck inside it, and the automatic shuffler rearranged her deck. "Duel me." She said. "You know something about what I'm searching for... If you win, I'll let you go. If you lose, you'll tell me everything. Then, you'll take me to your superiors." Tamra said slowly and quietly. Surprisingly enough, it seemed as though there weren't any other students around. "This will be our field of battle. If you decline... Then I'll have to use other methods." Tanra warned Jackson.

I have a very important issue and she is in my way this is crazy, well just get it done quickly[/i] "Ok, though since you are so desperate to duel me I go first, I Draw," he said as he drew his cards. He looked at his hand. He could get a good card out quickly. "First of all I activate Birth to Create, This allows me to special summon one Level 4 or below tuner. I special summon Legendary Flame - Synchron of the Flames. Now I activate the effect of the Skeleton of Burn in my hand, by discarding one card from my hand to the graveyard I can special summon this card, come forth, Skeleton of the Burn, Now I normal summon The Golem of Doom," all of the monster's were ready. He was already going to bring out his ace monster. "Now I synchro summon my Level 3 Synchron of the Flames with my Level 3 Skeleton of the Burn and my Level 4 Golem of Doom, Rise from the Flames Knight who has fallen, Synchro Summon, Legendary Flame - Knight of the Lava," said Jackson as the knight arised staring at the opponent. "When I use Synchron of the Flames to synchro summon a monster i get to draw one card," he drew a card from his deck, "I set one card face down and end my turn."

"Hmph. This won't take long..." Tamra said, drawing her five cards. "Draw..." Tamra drew her sixth card without looking at it. "I summon my Playing Possum." Tamra said, as a small possum appeared in front of her. "Niw, I activate Playing Possum's effect. While you control a monster who's Attack power is higher than that of Playing Possum's, he has the option of destroying himself. When this occurs, he'll return during my next Standby Phase." Tamra explained as the small animal rolled over, and vanished. "Now... When a monster I control is destroyed by any card effect, I can Soecial Summon this card from my hand... The Mahine Emperor Wisel Infinity." Tamra Yates calmly. A moment later, a large, white robot appeared. It had an infinity mark gauged into its chest, with a spiraling neutron-type orb inside of it. (ATK: 2500) "Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity's effect activates. Once per turn, it can absorb a Synchro Monster on the field." Tamer continued, as the hole in the white robot opened, and many green, glowing tendrils extruded from it, lathing onto the fiery knight. "Wisel then gains Attack power equal to that of every absorbed Synchro Monster's Attack strength." Tamra finished. "This tie the power of the Synchro Killer, of you weren't familiar with this monster."

"Ok I activate the effect of my trap card, A Gift of a Burn, When I activate this card, I can negate your card's effect, Then we immediately skip to the battle phase and the two monster's battle," screamed Jackson. [i]Wow that was a great move, I am so glad that I didn't lose my monster[/i] he was still staring wondering weather this person was a Twilight Invader or not. "Go Knight of the Lava," screamed Jackson.

(Actually, as Dem has told me, it can be either. I'm used to using 8000, so do you mind if we use 8k instead? Also, even though we're forced to battle, it's my choice when the attack is initiated.)

"I activate the Quickplay Spell, Book of Moon, in response to your Trap. This card will flip your monster Face-Down. However, I'm well aware of your Monster's effect. You can discard a card to negate my Book of Moon. However, you can only use this effect once each turn, and you require a cost to activate this effect." Tamra recited. "That's its effect, yes? Even if you do try to negate it, I'm more than prepared for such a situation." Tamra said. "Now then, what will you do? I don't have forever, so let's please hurry this along. And if you could stop screaming, I would appreciate that... We are in a school." Tamra said, with a slightly sarcasting tone of voice.

"Haha very funny," said Jackson very unimpressed by his lame humour. "I will scream whenever I want," he said. Now he pretty much new that he was going to negate the spells effect. "Ok so I discard one card from my hand to negate the effect," said Jackson discarding the spell in his hand. Then he knew the battle would have to go on. "Who are you? What do you want from me? Are you part of the Twilight Invader's?" he screamed at the person. The Knight charged at the Machine Emperor Wisel to Attack him.

"I told you already, I'm more than prepared for an attack like this." Tamra said, pulling a second card from her hand. "I activate my second Quickplay Spell, Shrink. This halves the Attack of your monster until the End Phase." Tamra said. "As your hand is empty, and your effect expended, the battle shall continue, and your Synchro Monster will still die by the hands of the Synchro Killer." Tamra said, as Wisel thrust the blade on its arm into the fiery knight. "Wisel's Attack is 1000 higher than your knight's, so your knight is destroyed, and your Life Points are reduced 1000." Tamra said. "As for me... You will hear nothing from me until this duel is over." Tamra said quietly.

Hunter walked out of the Slifer Red dorm, yawning.

[I]If I keep this up, 90% of my life will be spent on sleeping[/I], he thought to himself.

He looked around and saw nobody. He looked at his Duel Disk and Deck. He smiled to himself.

[I]Wonder if anyone is open for a duel?[/I] He thought. [I]I won't know the answer just staying here. Need to get a move on.[/I]

Hunter started walking away from the dorm and looking for a duel.

"Ok then, I Draw," said Jackson. He knew he was going to have to change something drastic if he wanted to win now. "First I activate Draw of Flames" I activate the effect of my Reborn from the Flames in my graveyard, during my Stand by Phase I can summon this card by discarding one card from my hand, Now return Reborn From the Flames," said Jackson. "Now I summon Legendary Flame - The Flame Creator," said Jackson. "Now I synchro summon my Level 4 The Flame Creator and my Level 4 Reborn from the Flames to create, Legendary Flame - Sorcerer of the Lava," he screamed as the card rises onto his field. "Now my Sorcerer of the Lava attack Wisel."

Once per turn, I can negate the activation of a Spell Card, and destroy it." Tamra said, as Wisel slashed Jackson's card in half. "And seeing as that was the only card in your hand, it seems that you've run out of moves. So, if you've nothing to say for yourself, then I'll take my turn." Tamra said.

"During my Standby Phase, Playing Possum returns. However, as I can't activate his effect, he's useless to me now. So, I tribute my Playing Possum tyo summon Klyce, the Light Monarch." Tamra said, at the animal vanished again, but was replaced by a large, robed, shimmering creature. "Klyce's effect. I select up to two cards on the field, and destroy them. I choose to destroy my own Wisel Infinity. Then I draw a card." Tamra said, as Wisel exploded, and Tamra drew again. "Now, because a monster I control was destroyed by a card effect, I can Special Summon the second of three Machine Emperors from my hand, Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity." Tamra said, as a new, orange robot appeared in place of Wisel. "Grannel's Attack is equal to half of my Life Point total. As I have 8000 Life Points, Grannel's Attack is now 4000." Tamra stated, as Grannel's strength rose. "Now, both Grannel and Klyce will attack you directly. Seeing as you only have 7000 Life Points remaining, you'll be left with a mere 600." Tamra said, as Grannel fired off a large beam at Jackson.

[i]Wow this is going badly[/i] thought Jackson. His LP have just dropped. He knew that he would die any second. He couldn't lose twice. He knew he had to win this one. "Ah dam it," said Jackson. He couldn't lose this. He knew that there was only one card in his deck that could help him win this. He was just staring at his deck hoping he could draw it. He knew that if he couldn't draw it he would be doomed. "Go on Finish your Turn," said Jackson. He knew that this time would be his last chance.

(Again, you're not paying attention. I said BOTH Klyce and Grannel attack. And yes, I can do that because Grannel is the only ME that doesn't restrict attacks)

"Hmph... Such a loud kid..." Tamra said. Tamra looked down at her Duel Disk, hit a button on the side, then sighed a little. "This duel hasn't even lasted for 3 of my turns... How sad. I suppose you aren't as great as you think you are. With all of that infernal screaming you do, you must be pretty confident." Tamra said. "Hmm... You won't survive, come my next turn. Look at your field compared to mine. I have Klyce, with 2400 Attack, Grannel, with 4000 Attack, and two facedown cards. You have nothing, expcept for your next draw." Tamra said. "So you'll need to draw into a miracle for you to win." Tamra finished. "Turn End."

"I draw," said Jackson. He pulled the card out of his deck and looked at it. It was the card he needed. Now if those Face Down's don't negate it I will be in a great situation. "I activate The Draw's for the Fallen Flames," he said. "Now we each draw one card for each Legendary Flame Monster in the Graveyard, So therefore we each draw 5 cards," said Jackson. He waited for a moment to see what would happen. He was hoping that it would work, because if it didn't it is game over. He stopped and stared straight at his opponent. He then drew his cards. He knew that he could win this again. "Ok now I activate the Field Spell The Burning Temple. Now I summon Legendary Flame - Destructor of the Flames," said Jackson. His plan was all falling into place. "Now when this card is summoned all Spell and Trap Cards on the field are destroyed," said Jackson. They all vanished into thin air. "Now I activate the effect of The Burning Temple destroying the Destructor of Flames, next by removing from play Legendary Flame - The Assistance I can special summon, Legendary Flame - The Burning Vengeance," said Jackson. "Now Legendary Flame - The Burning Vengeance attack Grannel," said Jackson. The little creature charged at the big beast.

I choose to return Klyce to my hand to summon Wisel's servant, the Machine Imperial Wisel Ein." Tamra said, as a smaller version of Wisel appeared. Grannel swatted the monster aside. As it did, both Grannel and the small creature exploded furiously. "Hmph." Tamra was unfazed. "Whenever a monster I control is destroyed by a card effect, I can Special Summon one of the three Machine Emperors from my hand. And so, the third Machine Emperor reveals itself. This..." Tamra started, as a large, blue, mechanical bird appeared. "...Is Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity." Tamra said. (ATK: 2200) "Now remains Wisel Ein and Skiel." Tamra said. "Anything else?"

(Wait Where did Return Summon come from I destroyed all Spell and Trap Cards)

"Ok that's cool, I set one card face down and end my turn," said Jackson. [i]Great another Machine Emperor. What is going to happen next?[/i] Jackson thought. He knew he could come back from this though her hand was full so there might not be much of a chance. He had to try though, he knew that there was another card which could help him win. He just needed a good draw next turn. The next draw would determine everything. He looked straight into his opponents eyes and said, "Your Move."

(I chained Return Summon to the card's destruction. It crests a chain, causing Return Summon to resolve first, so I still get the effect.)

"I draw..." Tamra said, drawing another card. "...This will be your last turn." Tamra said. "I summon my Machine Imperial Grannel Ein." Tamra said, as a smaller version of Grannel appeared. "Now, since I control 3 monsters that have either 'Machine Emperor' or 'Machine Imperial' in their names, I can Special Summon my ace monster... The Machine Imperial God Dragon Asterisk." Tamra said, as a large mechanical dragon appeared beside the bird, and the two smaller robots. "Asterisk's Attack is determined by the total Attack of every Machine Emperor or Machine Imperial monster I control." Tamra explained. (Asterisk's ATK: 5600) "Now, Machine Imperial God Dragon Asterisk, finish this duel. Nemesis Beam..." Tamra declared, as Asterisk fired off a dark wave of energy at Jackson's monster.

"I won't be leaving this turn, I activate Trap The Hold of Fire," said Jackson as he just kept in this duel. "While this card is on the all cards which aren't a Legendary Flame monster are automatically turned to defence position. Though every turn this card remains on the field my Life Points is cut in half at the Stand By Phase," he breathed deeply hoping he had just survived another turn. Though he knew he could never be sure. He yet again stared straight at the other duelist and said, "Finish your turn."
