Soul Reapers defending the Human World, fighting Hollows while amidst humans.

10 years in the future of the Bleach storyline we all know and love, Hollows have made a monstrous comeback in terms of their numbers and strength. The main characters, a fresh batch of recruits, must learn how to defend the Human World. They will go through many difficult challenges, many trying trials, and many painful experiences. They will be forced to learn Bankai in a short amount of time; however, thanks to Kisuke Urahara,Yoruichi, and [b]*The Head Captain of the Royal Guard, Burrado[/b] they will lend a hand in order to train these recruits to get their bankai.

Karakura Town remains relatively unchanged; Ichigo is still a "Substitute Soul Reaper", watching over the Human World. Rukia and the other Soul Reapers are busy training the fresh recruits. That is, until one day, when Ichigo appears in the Soul Society, bloodied and battered, almost killed by Hollows.

It is up to the Soul Reapers, experienced and freshly recruited, to save the Human World from the constant threat of the Strengthening Hollows.

* = Burrado Matsumoto, the younger brother of Rangiku Matsumoto, was promoted to the Royal Guard as a young child due to his abilities surpassing the Head captain's. He looks to be of 15 years of age, and his facial and hair features rival that of Ichigo's. However, Burrado's hair is brown. (I will play the role of Burrado because the rest of you must be the recruits. )

[i]Today's the day![/i] Ren thought to himself enthusiastically as he got up. With lightning speed, he changed into his Soul Reaper uniform and headed to the academy; the sun shining down the entire time. [i]Finally...now I can become a Soul Reaper![/i] As he arrived at the academy, he noticed that he wasn't alone. Hundreds of wannabe soul reapers were in attendance as well. [i]Heh...all of you are gonna be small talk once I become a full-fledged Soul Reaper![/i] he said, literally jumping with enthusiasm.

Ren Kisuke, a Soul Reaper in-training. With big dreams, high hopes, and a huge heart, he pledges to help all spirits move on to the Soul Society, and in the long run, find the Hollows responsible for the death of his parents. Perhaps that is why he is so driven, because he is fueled by big dreams.

Ren walked around, greeting various Soul Reapers. He noticed one in particular; he wore a strange striped hat and a cane. Ren was about to approach him, but he was cut short as a particularly big and random Soul Reaper cut him off by simply walking in front of him. By the time Ren had gotten around him, the striped hat Soul Reaper was gone. "Aww...I wanted to say hi to him..." Ren said with slight disappointment in voice. "Oh well, let's see who else is here!" And with that, Ren walked around, meeting new acquaintances and greeting everyone with a cheery and genuine smile that was as bright and [i]almost[/i] as big as his dreams.

It was around noon, when Burrado had called Kisuke and Yoruichi to join him in a meeting. With both of them late, all he could do is kill time. "Dammit guys. Hurry up. I have to look over the Royal Guard soon! I don't have much time!"

Burrado unsheathed his sword. He sat down in the first Squad Barracks, legs crossed, with his sword on his lap.

He began to speak with his sword.

"Burrado." His sword called to him.

"Jashin." [i](Meaning "False" or "Evil" God.)[/i]

"What is it that you ask of me?" Jashin inquired.

"I am starting a new force of hollow extermination. Comprised of new recruits, from whom I, Urahara, and Shihouin will teach."

"Oh? Why is this?"

"The strength of hollows has been increasing throughout the decade. This task force will be designed to exterminate these demonically strong creatures, and kill them. But I am worried. I'm afraid our teachings will kill them all."

"I see.....Burrado, do you remember when you tried to kill me, on that fateful day?"

"I do. Why?"

"You were so very confident when you saw me, that you would kill me with ease. But now, you are not so sure of yourself. Do not worry on what lies within your future. Focus, on he task at hand, which would be the training of the new recruits."

Burrado opened his eyes. He stood back up.

Omushiba Jesreck was already at the meeting place for all the new recruits; looking around with a warm smile at all the soul reapers who were standing there. Omushiba looked around at them still, for a good twenty minutes in fact until he saw one particular happy-go-lucky recruit that was looking around also with a smile. "Hey hey!" Omushiba said to the happy-go-lucky soul reaper before him. "How good is the turnout this year eh?" He said to the man, being almost as happy and welcoming as the man was himself.

[Yang Xiao-Long]

Ren had greeted so many Soul Reapers he figured he made friends with pretty much the whole academy. He heard a voice calling out to him. "Hey hey! How good is the turn-out this year, eh?" he heard him say.

"Seems pretty good to me!" he replied with a smile. "The name's Ren Kisuke," he said as he offered his hand for a handshake. "What's your name? I hope we can be really good friends!" The enthusiasm in Ren's voice was just absolutely contagious; soon, everyone around him were greeting each other. "Soul Reaper Academy should be great!" he said to the Soul Reaper he just met.

Omushiba grabbed Ren's hand and gave a full powered; warm and welcoming handshake. When their hands separated and smiled. "Yeah, it's sure to be a hoot and a half!" Omushiba was so focused on the events that would unfold during his time here he almost forget to exchange names with the person. "Oh, sorry, I was thinking on something else. Names Omushiba Jesreck. I plan to learn a pretty good amount of kido here too. What's your plans?" Omushiba said and then started to look at the crowd once again.

[Yang Xiao-Long]

"You're learning kido, eh?" asked Ren. "Sounds cool." Ren looked out towards the crowd; massive, alive, churning with spiritual pressure. "As for my plans here, I plan on becoming a full-fledged Soul Reaper with a powerful Shikai and Bankai! It should be fun!" he cheerfully told Omushiba.

"You know, I know the 'I'm gonna become a powerful Soul Reaper with a powerful Bankai' thing might sound a bit crazy, but I once heard my grandfather telling a story of how one of his family will control a mighty Bankai never before seen. I hope he was talking about me," he said with a light chuckle, "since he's pretty old and he forgot how to fight a long time ago, and my parents...well...I'd rather not talk about it," he added with slight gloom in his voice.

"Hey Omushiba, when are things going to get started around here? It's not like we're just gonna stand around here, are we?"

Burrado had left the squad barracks to go and find Urahara and Yoruichi. He had ran into two new recruits, who had been conversing for sometime.

"Hello there. You two are here to become Soul Reapers here right?"

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"Almost...there..."

"But I've made a breakthrough!"
[color=#918151]"Breakthrough, schmeakthrough! You have a meeting! Now!"[/color]
Po, the 12th Company Captain, sighed and placed something back under a tarp, then left the Shinigami Research and Development Institute Building to head to the captain's meeting.

"Yeah, learning about my blade is cool and all but my real passion is for kido; its just cool to be able to have an ace up your sleeve like that." Omushiba said and then heard Ren as when things would get started, he had no idea truthfully and that when a new man walked up to them both and asked if they were here to become shinigami. Omushiba bowed than saluted. "Yes sir! Always ready to learn new things and gain a new level of self respect sir!" Omushiba said, obviously recognizing the man of being of high authority.

Ren snapped to attention when he saw a man of higher authority walk up to him and Omushiba. He saluted, and upon lowering his hand from his forehead, he was finally able to get a better look at the man's face.
His eyes widened. "You- you're Burrado!" Ren said with an utmost contagious enthusiasm. "You're Burrado, Head Captain of the Royal Guard! I've always wanted to learn from you about Shikai and Bankai!" Ren's eyes glowed with excitement.

And on and on Ren went, eventually getting to the story about what his grandfather had said about how one of his family will obtain an incredibly powerful Bankai that no one has ever seen before. Ren truly was enthusiastic whenever around those of higher authority; they had his respect, his awe, and all of his attention.

"Will you teach me how to achieve Bankai one day soon, Head Captain?" Ren asked as he reached the end of his quite long story.

"First of all. You dont need to get so excited. You already seem older than I do," Burrado chuckled "and to answer you question, I need you two to come with me. You both seem very promising and I want to see what Urahara and Yoruichi think."

[Magnet Soldier]

A voice scoffed from behind Ren when they started to talk about power, and how they were both going to become masters. One of them was talking about how they wanted to learn about Kido. The voice was about to reply when it was stopped by a large amount of Reiatsu approaching. The owner of the voice stopped and bowed, but stood up quickly. "Master Burrado Matsumoto." The owner of the voice said, calmly. "I am Akira Mizushuni, of squad 10, and more importantly, I am honoured by your presence. If I may ask, why are you among these students today, sir?" Akira said, looking up at the Head of the Royal Guard. He looked towards the students, each of them older than him and just resisted laughing at the fact he was one of the youngest in the crowd, and yet he was one of the highest ranked. He was here to make sure no-one got unruly, and was the best for the assignment as he looked the most likely to be there. One down side was that he had to wear the crappy Academy uniform, which he'd forgotten was so itchy. He shrugged and looked around, sure that no fights had broken out, and that no-one but the two students had heard him.

"Why hello there Akira." Burrado could sense a high amount of reiatsu within all of the group.

"To be honest, I cant really tell you until you guys come with me. Including you Akira." He gestured.

"Lets go."

The weather was fairly nice today. The rush of soul reapers through out the seiretei was almost blinding. The walk to the barracks was fairly short, however, instead of going to the meeting room as promised, Burrado opened the door to a type of training facility.

"Please wait here while I go get the others. Urahara and Yoruichi will be here soon."

[Magnet Soldier]

"But...." Akira started, just as Burrado left the building. "....I have to finish my assignment." Akira finished, sighing. He turned to face the other two Shinigami, the ones from the Academy. "Hi. I'm Akira Mizushuni, 5th seat of the 10th Gotei Squad." Akira said, looking from one of them to the other, to see if they recognised the name. "Anyway, I know your names. Ren Kisuke and Omushiba Jesreck, right? I over-heard your conversation." Akira explained. He touched his zanpaktou, habitually, and sighed again. "Soooo....what do you think Burrado wants with us? You since your only students, me since I'm not that recognised among the Gotei Squads." Akira asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"Yup that's me." Omushiba said to Akira and then turned to the head captain. "Oh, wait, um, ok..." Omushiba was thinking on other things so he missed almost half of the conversation and was rubbing his head and smiling awkwardly. "Simple, we're obviously being recognized for our superior work ethic, good marks, and all around good attitudes about life!" Omushiba said, the sun shining down on him almost as if it was on cue with his little speech of why the head captain actually wanted to see them. "Or..." The sun stopped shining as it was engulfed in a cloud. "We could be in deep trouble..." With the simple turn of Omushiba's smile into a frown he completely changed the mood around him to that of a dark and depressing tone.

[Yang Xiao-Long]

Ren followed along as he was led, along with Omushiba and the newly introduced Akira, to a training facility. He listened intently to Omushiba's conversation with Akira. He heard Akira asking what Burrado wanted with the three of them.

"Hmm...I don't really know," said Ren as he scratched the back of his head out of slight confusion. The group was led to a training facility. Attempting to piece two and two together, he told Omushiba and Akira what he thought was the reason. "I believe we're here because we're gonna train for Shikai and Bankai. Think about it," he started to explain just after Omushiba seemed to make the weather change with his happiness and gloom. "I asked Burrado if he would eventually teach me Bankai. Look where we are. A training facility. It would make sense, wouldn't it, that we would end up learning our respective Shikai and Bankai?"

Ren ended with a question in hopes of getting a response or possible explanation to why they were at a training facility and as to why they were taken there by the Head Captain of the Royal Guard.

[PrimalFear]

Kisuke was walking through the Gotei 13 Barracks in the middle of the Seireitei. He had something on his back that looked very simlar to a wooden cut out of a human. Wearing a dark green shirt and pants, and a black coat with a white diamond pattern along its bottom half, along with traditional japanese style sandals and a bucket hat. Kisuke pushed the door open with his cane as he walked in slowly noticing the Head Captain of Squad Zero exiting the Barracks training grounds, Kisuke walked up to him.

"Well now isn't it nice to see such an old friend again huh, Burrado?" Kisuke smiled and peeked around the corner of the doorway that Burrado just exited. "So these are the new recruits? I was expecting a few more members!" Kisuke turned back to the Head Captain as he walked to the front of him exteneding his hand to greet his friend.

OOC: Rangiku stops by really quick.

"Yeah uh...see, the thing is, I cant find really good recruits for the rest of the group. So, when Yoruichi gets here I'm going to go tell her to find some."

Burrado's expressions kept changing as if he were leves on trees.

"I have the three in the training arena, so if you want to engage them in some small talk, do so. However, DO NOT tell them why they are there until we find enough recruits." Burrado added.

Burrado continued his journey through the seiretei for his new recruits, when he came across his sister having some tea at a local shop. She looked back at him, stunned. Rangiku had a giant smile on her face. She cleared the table she was sitting at, and tackled Burrado.


"Aurrgh!!!"

"OH MY GOSH I MISSED YOU I MISSED YOU I MISSED YOU!"

"Aurgh! Rangiku! Your breasts are smothering my face!" bellowed Burrado in a muffled voice.

Rangiku picked Burrado off of the grond and gave him a bear hug.

"Rangiku! You're crushing my limbs!"

"Sorry little brother." She said with a wink.

Burrado let out a content sigh of relief knowing that the physical pain was over, for now at least.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be watching over the Royal Guard?" Rangiku asked.

"No, I got my Lieutenant to do that for a while. I received a request from the old man. It is top secret, so dont bother asking about it. So, I'll talk to ya later. I have to take care of something right now."

"Wait!" Rangiku yelled.

"What?"

Rangiku gave Burrado another bear hug.

"I love you little brother!"

"..."

"Say it back..." Rangiku squezzed harder.

"OK OK! [size="1"]I love you too.[/size]"

"That's better." She winked.

[Yorukin]

OOC: Woops. I did not realize this had started quite yet. Ah well.

Sasayaku finished his tea and set the cup down. "Ah... Nothing like a good chamomile to start the morning." Standing up, he turned his head at a conversation going on nearby. He had heard someone talking about recruits for something. It sounded interesting enough--recent days had been pretty dull. The sight that greeted him was Lieutenant Matsumoto glomping someone, with Urahara standing nearby. He walked forward, but felt a little awkward at the scene. "Excuse me. Am I... interrupting anything?"

[Magnet Soldier]

"Well, I already know my Shikai, and have been told by my captain I could start learning my Bankai soon. And he told me that If I did, he'd be more than happy to make me Lieutenant instead of Rangiku Matsumoto." Akira said, just as Rangiku appeared out of nowhere and started to [s]rape[/s] hug Burrado, her little brother. "Speak of the devil, there's my Lieutenant now." Akira said, walking out of the open door. "Hello Lieutenant Matsumoto. I'm glad to see your still able to annoy people and slack off at the same time." Akira stated, earning a glare from his Lieutenant. "I'm joking of course. I wouldn't dare try to get in a fight with my superior. I'd have no chance." Akira joked, saying more than he'd ever normally say. He was afraid to say that being among the up-beat students had put him in a very bright mood, and he was talking a lot more freely than he would before. "Ex-captain Urahara. I'm honoured and surprised to see you here." Akira said, bowing. "I thought you were an Enemy to the Seireitei?"

[Yang Xiao-Long]

Ren saw Lieutenant Rangiku greet Murrado in her special way. "Umm...she doesn't do this to you all the time, does she, Burrado?" asked Ren after an awkward pause. After a few more seconds had passed, Ren looked over and saw the same person he saw earlier; the one with the striped hat. Ren had overheard his name being Urahara. Something clicked in his head as he just realized who he was, and his eyes widened.

"Ohmygodit'sUrahara!!" he exclaimed in one short burst of a word as he rushed over to greet the man. He used one hand to shake Urahara's, and the other to salute him. "The name's Ren Kisuke. Pleasure to meet you, sir!" he said with a bright smile.
