Tokyo Duel

Winged Kuriboh and Yubel, who were standing back, noticed that Yoh's opponent, Ryan, had a Duel Monster Spirit of his own. Fortunately, Winged Kuriboh was invisible to anyone who couldn't see Duel Monster Spirits, and Yubel appeared to be a blue-haired, blue-eyed woman with a purple dress to anyone who couldn't see Duel Monster Spirits. They wondered in silence if Ryan had noticed them...

Judaihime gave Yoh a curtsy. "I am called Princess Judaihime of the Duel Kingdom of Academia, but you, Duelist, may call me 'Hime'. It is a great honor where I hail from to be bestowed by the Ancient Gods the ability to summon fierce monsters and cast powerful spells. Tell me, what Ancient God hath granted you your Duelist ability?" She indicates to her dress. "When one art blessed by an Ancient God, they shall don one of the God's colours, depending on which God hath chosen them. I was granted my power by the mighty sky serpent Slifer, who embodies courage and luck. My head of my Royal Guards, Sir Jun, was given his Duelist ability by the great giant Obelisk, the Ancient God of power and strength. Daichi, the castle's chaplain, was empowered by the golden dragon Ra, the patron of intelligence and cunning." She then turned to the intruder. "How dare ye challenge these two! Do you know how exhausted thy Duelists must be?!? A battle of that magnitude must have worn them out!"

Yoh heard everything that Hime said and finally answered,"Well...um, I didn't exactly have my dueling ability given to me by the...um Ancient Gods..." He scratched the back of his head and said,"I kinda learned from my dad...before things went weird and I was abandoned by them." Yoh sighed a little and then smiled. "But its all good. And I'm not even sure those...Ancient Gods you talked about even helped me out with this. I just got this instinct when I'm dueling....its...kinda like a sixth sense that I have. But its only when I'm dueling, when I'm not....its gone." Yoh looked at Hime again and said,"Hime...is a very nice name."

Delano laughed "Please i have dueled many times in an hour a duel like is nothing but a warm up for me. Come if you want to protect them than duel me in there place as the challenge is directed at any of the 3 of you." Delano started intensly at the female than laugh some more. "If you have backbone than duel me and show me your strength. I have been looking for stronger opponents that the ones i've duel recently" a little dragon duel spirit came out of Delano's Deck. Delano looked at the little dragon "It seems Dragunity - Phalanx is also wanting to duel you as well. I will show you the will my parents have left me with the deck that saved and cherished for me to inherit upon there death bed."

As Ryan started to walk away he heard the person challenge someone in the group to a duel. "Hey you must give the duelist time to rest after a duel like that. Our best cards were used during it." Ryan said as he started to walk back to the group. BD tell you saw the duel spirits over there by the girl Yoh is talking to right? What kind of question is that of course I noticed I just didn't say anything about it. Whatever you say Baby Dragon I still don't believe you however. "Judaihime why don't you take on this guy since Slifer gave you your skills with a deck since you have luck. The power of Ra tells me that I should not take this duel."Ryan said as he turned his duel disk off.

Hime is very impressed. "Ye...ye hast a Duel Monster Spirit! Ye must be a very powerful Duelist indeed, able to Duel many times in a single day! Not even my father, King Samejima, has the stamina to duel more than four-and-ten times a day, and even he needs rest the following day! However, I must ask thou all several questions. First, why do thou hast those peculiar shields? And why aren't your summoning and magic tablets made of stone? Furthermore, why do I not sense much magical prowess in you? How can thou all be such mighty Duelists without any magical skill?" She clutched her head. "This realm is rather confusing...I don't even know what kingdom I am in!"

Yoh looked at Hime, who held her head, and quickly put his hands on her shoulders. "H-Hey...relax, Hime.." Yoh said smiling. "I'll answer the questions you have. Well...the shields your talking about...their called "Duel Disks" in this realm.." He stopped, kinda freaked out his said that. He shook his head and continued by saying,"In this realm, we use those to duel and summon up our cards." He pulled out his deck and said,"See?? This is what we use to duel in this place. And magical powers....we wouldn't have that unless those rumored Millennium Items were in our possession." He took a deep breath and then asked,"Did..that help any, Hime??"

It didn't help at all. Hime is completely aghast. Yubel and Winged Kuriboh facepalm, knowing this was bound to happen. "N-n-n-no magic?!? What kind of strange realm is this place?!? Magic is the core of my world! Vicky, a dear ally of mine from a world like yours, uses paper cards like those, but her summons and spells are infused with the black arts! Even Itsu, my superior officer in the interdimensional organization I belong to and one of the most powerful people I know, has magic in her metal horseless chariot! This just cannot be! I bet you will also tell me that you have figured out a way to cross the starry void and put men on the moon!"

"You mean going into space...yeah we've done that." Yoh said. Then he saw Hime look even more upset and freaked out. He face palmed, knowing he walked right into that dumb answer. He sighed and said,"H-Hime...please relax. I know, being in this realm is kinda...weird. I mean, I've been here all my life and I wished I could be someplace else. All someone like you needs...is someone who knows this realm like the back of their hand." Yoh chuckled a little and said,"Luckily for you...even though I'm a seventeen year old, I know this place pretty well. I mean...that is, if you want to let me help you...out..."

"We have no magic nor in need of it. The other guys have answered your other question" Delano reaches into his deck without look. Delano yelled "come me and phalanx request a duel to add to out duelin record." than Delano placed the Dragunity - Phalanx he drew out his deck on to his duel disk. A small blue dragon with golden armor appears "Also those stones sound similar to how the ancient egyptians once dueled, but however the times have changed from those thousands of years. Now we have no need for magic or stone tablets for us to duel."

Hime's eyes widened at the realization that, in this world, men HAVE walked on the moon. She closes her eyes, loses her balance, and falls into Yoh's arms, unconscious. At this point, Winged Kuriboh and Yubel made themselves visible to the humans. Winged Kuriboh flew over to his mistress and tried to nudge her awake before he sighed in hopelessness and curled up inside of her tiara. Yubel changed into her normal form and turned to the group. "I apologize for my Mistress' actions. She has been in worlds like this one, but she has been blissfully ignorant beforehand." She then turned to Yoh. "So, shall we head back to your place of residence?"

Yoh saw Yubel and blinked a little. "W-Wow...a real duel monster...thats awesome." he said. He heard what Yubel said and then shook his head. "Um..yeah. There's a small building not to far from here." Yoh said picking up Hime, holding her. "Just you and your little furry friend over there follow me." He looked at Ryan and said,"Sorry buddy..I gotta go. See ya later!" He then walked off with Hime in his arms, walking towards the small building. As he walked towards the building, he looked at Hime again. He was right before, she did look cute.

A few minutes later they arrived at the building and Yoh put Hime on the couch, letting her rest. Yoh looked over at Yubel and asked,"Um...does this happen to her a lot?? And just to say...I really really didn't mean to make her faint like that...."

Delano yelled "useless duelists next time we meet you better be ready to duel or i will force you to duel." In frustation Delano kicked a trash bin in a nearby alley and walked away.

3 Hours later....

Another duelist infront of Delano falls to his knees. "Why do i have to duel these weaklings. They don't even serve as a good warm up." Delano said than walked back to his empty home. "I'm home" Delano said turning on the lights thinking not like it matters if i say that no one is here anyways. Delano laid down on the floor in his living room and looked up at the ceiling.

Yubel shook her head. "I don't know. Last time she went out adventuring in other worlds, we were in a bit of a bind, so asking questions about the peculiarities of the worlds we visited wasn't very high on the list of things we needed to do. However, the War is over, so we aren't in as much of a hurry to-" She then relized Yoh had no idea what she was talking about. "Alright. A couple of years ago, well, to us, Hime was about to marry her love, Prince Johan of the Principality of Northumber, a nation occupying our world's northern pole rich in mineral wealth, when Prince Johan, corrupted by an interdimensional traveler named Itsu, staged a coup d'etat supported by our enemies, the Merikan Empire, the tyrranical rulers of the largest landmass on our world, and tried to kill Hime. We managed to escape in an interdimensional portal, and started running from Johan, Itsu, and their forces."

"We eventually ran into the good guys, an organization called 'C3', which strived to preserve the many universes in our little corner of infinity, who were fighting against a megalomaniac named 'Paradox', who wanted to merge all universes into one that he could rule, and his armies. We fought with C3 and their gathered warriors from across the universes dealing with Duel Monsters against Paradox's similarly-recruited forces. Eventually, when all hope was lost, the war changed in our favor when Itsu defected to our side. She had lost her memory and had been corrupted by Paradox into serving him, but her love, Damian, saved her, and we helped to defeat Paradox once and for all, sealing him within a quantum singularity."

"Afterwards, Itsu, remorseful of the damage she had wrought across the multiverse, started to use her new powers to fix what she had destroyed. The past was rewritten and our world went back to normal. Now, Itsu, the self-declared protector of the Duel Monsters multiverse, has created a new organization called the 'Neighborhood Watch', of which Hime and I are now members." Yubel reached over and pulled out a strange golden fob watch out of Hime's pocket that had a circle that was broken by two lines that were positioned like a clock set at eleven o' clock. Upon further inspection, the inside of Hime's tiara had the same symbol behind the main gemstone. "You see, something horrible is about to happen to this universe. A powerful entity unique to this universe wishes to destroy this dimension. We at Neighborhood Watch are concerned he might not be satisfied with this snuffing out the life of this timeline, and could possibly start wreaking havoc on every alternate reality in his path, dealing untold damage. We are here to prevent that worst-case scenario."

Yoh listened in to the story Yubel began to tell. He was surprised that Hime had gone through all that in her world...in comparison, his life was better than hers. Yoh sighed and said,"I see. Well, if your thinking something is gonna happen soon..." He stood up and smirked. "Then me and my E-Heroes are up for the challenge. Whatever you need, I'll help you out." he said. Yoh pulled out a card from his deck, it being Terra Firma. "I may not be able to see many duel spirits...but I know that Terra Firma and me will help out when ever we can. That and...you three will need to know someone to help you around here."

Yubel smiled in gratitude. "Thank you." Yubel then thought for a bit, then got an idea. "Perhaps you could help our dear Princess learn how to duel. You see, in our world, we use giant stone tablets with Duel Monster Spirits tuned to them. Whenever a tablet is played, that monster is summoned. We use a similar technique for spells and traps. Maybe you could get Hime one of those Dueling Plate things you all have and some paper cards. She uses cute, low-powered monsters, but she recently got a set of 'Gem-Knights' as a present from Johan. Could you possibly find some of those cards and make a deck for her? If you even somehow can get copies of myself and Winged Kuriboh, we will be eternally grateful." Winged Kuriboh nodded happily. "Kuri!"

Yoh pointed at a small table. On it was another duel disk, it was a little older than his, but he managed to fix it. "Hime can use that one." he said with a smile. He then moved and took a small box out and said,"And speaking of two cards...I did have a copy of a Winged Kuriboh and Yubel that my grandfather gave me. I never met him...but maybe Hime might be able to use them." He put the two cards down next to the duel disk and said,"About the Gem Knights...I never heard of that deck archetype before. Is there a way you can describe the monsters and other things about this deck that Hime uses back on her realm??" Maybe if he didn't know what they were....maybe he could find cards that he could use to make a new deck, but much similar.

As the girl spoke, Endal knew she was right. He wouldn't be able to attack. "Sky Scourge Enrise's effect activates. I remove from play your 'Goddess'," he said. He purposly mimicked the word Goddess, as there were no Goddess'. Only the Elder God and his creations; Oblivia among them. "You will now succumb to defeat, as I use my Spell Card, Polymerization." A swirling vortex envolopped all three of Sky Scourges. "There is no such thing as light and darkness in the world. Only suffering. Behold the end to pointless fighting!" As he said this, Endal's left eye turned pure black and his right eye pure white. "Fusion Summon! Decend, Sky Demon Lord Cenobite!"

ATK: 3000

DEF: 3000

"I use his special ability to negate the effects of all Spells and Traps on the field, until the End Phase. And without a monster, your wide open for the end. Cenobite, end this, if you would." His voice, his face, and his very being was cold and ruthless, yet expressionless and emotionless.

Yubel suddenly remembered something. "I have an idea." She looked through Hime's pockets until she found what looked like a deck box. She pulled out a set of cards that looked like a combination of old medieval tarot cards and Duel Monsters. In fact, the painted pictures of the Gem-Knights looked surprisingly like actual Duel Monsters cards. "These are Training Cards. Calling the stone tablet of a monster requires having a mental image of what you want to summon. These aid children in our world, as well as those who received new tablets, in memorizing the images of their tablets."

Sylvia looked on as Tari and Endel dueled, watching to see if Tari could come back from Sky Demon Lord Cenobite's attack, and also to see if Tari could do anything to stop Asimil's sheer power. As she watched, a tall angel-like creature came to watch on her right hand side and what looked like a ball of fluff with wings perched on her left shoulder. "You aren't thinking that this guy could be a criminal with that card are you." The tall one on the right said. "Maybe, but I think that he should be watched anyway. I haven't heard of that card before and I know most cards. Anyway Honest, you usually like me judging people, afterall, you usually help me to decide if they are lying or not." Sylvia said. The tall angel-like creature who was in fact Honest, a duel spirit, looked at Sylvia and said "True but I am getting wierd vibes off him, almost as if he is being accompanied by a higher force that is tainted by malice and a desire for revenge." The other Duel Spirit, Hanewata, the fluffball-like one, gave off a soft tinkling sound, to show that she was in agreement with Honest about Endel.

"Huh?"

Tari's confidence was quickly replaced by surprise when her opponent fused all 3 of his monsters together.

I've never seen that card before, Tari thought.

The monster launched its attack, its power strong enough to reduce her life points to zero with one hit. Tari staggered back slightly as it hit, her life points hitting zero and her duel disk deactivating.

"Nuts," she muttered "I can't believe I lost so damn quickly!"

"You are weak...Tari," Endal said. He never once asked her name. But Oblivia told him in midst of their duel all he needed to know. After all, Oblivia was once the God and Guardian of the Human Realm, so it was only natural he knew all of humanity, better then they did. "Childish actions are pointless. Soon, the world of humanity shall fall before it's former guardian." Endal said, unphased. "Now if you excuse me..." Endal said. "I have some one to meet..." Endal was referencing to the one called Judaihime.

Zandaa saw the whole duel, as he was standing in an alley near where the duel took place. He also happened to see the weirdness in Endal's eye, "Well, that's weird" he thought to himself. Sadly, he had gotten exited and his urge to duel grew as he saw the duel take place. "Damn it, I want to duel, but I don't think that the weird dude is on-par with my level, he's probably even stronger..."

"Hey, kid, you alright?" he asked Tari as he emerged from the dark alley.

"Where can I find this threat Oblivia?" he asked in his mind.

Oblivia spoke in quite a dreadful tone. "He's in some sort of housing unit. Probably an apartment, however it is possible it is a home. I can't be for sure."

Endal gave a slight laugh. "A guardian God of humanity who can't find a mere human....Who'dve thought?"

Oblivia didn't find this funny. In fact, he broke three of Endal's ribs, sending him falling to the ground and writhing in pain. "Don't test me, young one." Just like that, Endal's ribs were fixed, and he was fine.

"Just find this Judaihime and eliminate all of her companions."

"Yes Oblivia."

Endal's right eye then turned pure white, as he began to see footsteps heading in the direction of a small house. "Perhaps I should try there..." he thought. Endal was grateful for Oblivia's remorse. Each eye had a unique ability. The white eye was able to track anyone, but Endal hadn't mastered that yet. For now, he could simply follow tracks that seemed like they weren't there. The black eye was able to inflict pain, but Endal never used it, primarily because he never knew how. He walked to the building, and knocked.

What? Not even a hand shake? No 'better luck next time'? Tari thought as the boy left What the hell is that guy's problem?

She heaved a sigh and kicked the ground in frustration, a small cloud of dust flying across the path and vanishing quickly. Her hands balled into fists and shook as she glared at the spot where the boy had vanished from her line of sight

"Stuck up jerk," she said aloud "When I find him I'm gonna...."

"Hey, kid, you alright?"

Tari stopped mid-sentence and looked around to see an older boy walking up to her. She turned away, still enraged at her defeat and pulled her hood up over her head, casting a shadow over her face.

"I'm fine," she said, not bothering to look back at the older boy.

He took them and said,"Well, hopefully they'll work. When she wakes up...I'll teach her how to use the duel disk and show her how to duel here." He then held Yubel and Winged Kuriboh cards and said,"With these two cards, you'll be able to stay here...in case things get bad. I trust Hime...but please tell her to be very careful with these two...they're kinda special to me."
