Totally biased reviews!

Hello, YCM, I'm Εϝολυτιον or Evolution, if you prefer. I'm still sorta a new member here, but I know most of the rules. I wasn't sure if this was against the rules, so I PM'ed Flame Dragon and asked him and he said it was fine as far as he knew. So, if this is against the rules, blame him. (Just kidding.)

This is my music review thread. I'll mostly be reviewing albums, but I guess I can review other music-related stuff too. I'll try to have two reviews up a week, one in the weekday and one in the weekend. I'll be doing any genre/band/etc., but I can reject it for any reason (more on that in a minute). I'll be taking requests as well, just ask/give me something music-related to review. I guess that's it for an introduction. I guess we can go on to the reviews.
(Note, I consider Friday part of the Weekend. That's just how I picture Friday: the start of the weekend.)

Oh, wait I almost forgot something. I do have a few rules to keep this place organized. Not many, but enough so this doesn't become a spamhole.
Rules:
1. Follow all of the YCM rules.
2. Don't flame me/someone else for their musical taste. Other words, respect it or at least ignore it.
3. Don't SPAM. Try to stay on topic.
4. If you don't like the review, don't be hating. You can express that you don't like my review (and say why you don't like it), but don't be like, "This review sucks and you suck!!!"
5. I can reject any requests. I'll try not reject any requests, but if I do, don't get all pissy at me. It could be because I don't have enough time to I just don't like that album/artist/song/etc.
6. I don't have a sixth one...have fun?

Now we can get to the reviews.

Introduction
First off, let me start off by saying, Metallica is one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite band. I started listening to them when I was a kid because my dad had all of their early albums, with the exception of "Kill 'Em All". He got rid of them a couple of years ago, but I recently brought some of them at our local music store. This one is one of my favorite Metallica album. I wouldn't say it is my favorite of theirs, but it's defiantly up there. This album is almost - key word, almost - perfect. Despite me listening to this album a hundred plus times, I still haven't found that part that makes it "almost perfect". I don't know, maybe it's just me trying to find something wrong with this album. Now let get to the tracks.
This was also the last Metallica album with their first bassist, Cliff Burton, who died in a bus accident while touring.

Tracklist Review
Battery - The album starts off with Battery. The track starts off some soft, clean guitar riffs. Then, the bass and drum comes in with more distorted (I think that's the right word) guitars. At this point, I'm ready to headbang until my neck breaks. If I remember correctly, this song is about how anger can control one's behavior. It kinda goes along with a lot of Master of Puppet's songs. This song is one of my favorite songs on this album, maybe in the top eight. Wait, there's only eight tracks. Anyway, everything from the singing to the guitars to the rest of the instruments is just amazing. Makes me want to headbang...all day.

Master of Puppets - After "Battery" comes the title track, "Master of Puppets". It's a very long track at 8:36, but in my opinion, that makes it so much better. This song deals with something controlling something else. I think lead singer James Hetfield said it deals with drugs and how it can control you. About three and a half minutes in, the song goes into a long instrumental. Actually, a lot of the instrumental parts are long. a little trivia here, but my sister got this song on a Facebook quiz which was "Which Metallica Song Are You?" Anyway, the title track is also really good. In my opinion, better than "Battery", but still not my favorite song on this album. That comes later.

The Thing That Should Not Be - Funny story, but I never heard this song until I re-brought this album a couple a months ago. So, this was basically a new song to me. I'm not really sure what this song exactly mean, I guess "something that shouldn't be". I admit, I don't listen to this song as much as I do other songs on this album, but nevertheless, it is still a wicked awesome song. Maybe it's just me, but there is a lot of singing in this song compared to the rest of the songs on the album. Really good song, but defiantly isn't the best.

Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - Here it is, my favorite song on this album and one of my favorite Metallica songs period, "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)". This is just completely awesome. I'm not sure why I like it so much, but at times I can relate to it a bit, so maybe that's why. The instruments fits perfectly into the song and the singing is great. I forgot the meaning of it, but I know it had something to do with all the other songs on the album. Something about being insane or something along those lines. I don't want to brag or nothing, but I do know the opening of this song on my acoustic guitar. Wicked awesome song and my favorite off this album.

Disposable Heroes - After "Welcome Home", comes the war song, "Disposable Heroes". This song is from sung from a soldier's POV, except the chorus (I think). The fast tempo and aggressiveness of this song makes me headbang from start to finish...or until my neck starts hurting/cramping. The song is mostly about feeling hopeless from what I get from it. This song is really nice and I love the fast tempo of this song. Very, very good song.

Leper Messiah - Here's another song I never really heard of before I got this album. Unlike "The Thing That Should Not Be", I actually did hear of this song, but never really listened to it. This song is pretty short compared to some other songs on the albums; at only 5:41, it's the third shortest song on Master of Puppets, only behind "Battery" (5:11) and "Damage Inc." (5:30). This song gets stuck in my head a lot, but it's usually a good thing if that happens. So pretty good song.

Orion - The instrumental of the album. "Orion" is possibly my favorite instrumental of Metallica's. I'll admit, out of every song on this album, "Orion" is the one I listen to the least. Not because I hate it, but I usually don't like instrumentals. However, when I do feel like one, this song is usually the one.

Damage Inc. - The final track on this classic album, "Damage Inc." is a good finish. The opening to finish is just perfect. The singing, guitars, bass, and drums is just...I can't really describe it, but it's awesome. I love the whispering of "Damage Incorporated"; I always wondered, but is it James doing the whispering? This song is also the only song on the album with foul language in it. "Damage Inc." is a good finish, a great song, and the album itself is great.

Finish
To finish off this review, Master of Puppets is a classic album and you should defiantly check it out if you haven't already. One of the Top 5 Metallica albums, in my opinion.
Rating: ********/10. Great album!
Check back this weekend for my next review!

So, what should I change up? Any suggestions what I could take out/put in? I know the review isn't perfect, but it's my first one, so I'll get better with...practice.

Thanks for the help and checking in! Again, sorry if this is against the rules. I didn't see anything about it.
