"No backsies!" Ariel added cheerfully. She slapped Kira across the back with a grin; "C'mon girl, live a little. You can't have an awesome adventure without climbing a few mountains- chances are we'll come across the first McGuffin as we go anyway. You can't miss the first few chapters worth of character development and bonding! Otherwise someone else will steal your main character slot and those don't come cheap, you know!" she grinned smiling, and ran a hand through her hair.

"Or, in not-so-many words, c'mon! It's gunna be fun!" she said, giggling a little. "You've got a jet for a partner, you can't just ignore an adventure hook like that!"

"Hm," Raiamon muttered to himself. "Solar Zone was my first conquest. I was unable to expand my territory because gates have not opened at an appropriate time; also the DemiMeramon are rather dependent on me," he muttered glancing back at the balls of flame, who smiled back at him. He nodded. "I'm somewhat curious what form they would take when combined with me."

Ariel nodded sagely. "Well, we'll have to wait for our next battle, then. Can't reveal awesome new forms in a non-combat scenario."

[color=goldenrod]Kira perked up a bit and snapped her fingers, "Says who?" She asked, smiling a little, "What if the awesome new form isn't meant for combat at all? If, for example, it was a mode of transportation that could hypothetically allow me to get up that mountain, wouldn't that be the perfect new form to debut in a non-combat scenario?"

Sparrowmon, following Kira's train of thought, let out another squee and hugged her partner, "Does this mean I get to DigiXros with the DemiMeramons again?!" She asked happily.

"Maybe, if I can't get you to DigiXros solo." Kira said, pulling out her Xros Loader and flicking the wheel one click to Sparrowmon's image, "Sparrowmon, DigiXros." She said simply, not bothering with the flashiness of her last Xros since the situation didn't call for it.

Sparrowmon, meanwhile, was encompassed in an orb of golden light, wherein her wings flipped up and locked in perpendicular to her body and revealed two indents, shaped approximately as big as Kira's feet "Jet Sparrow." The modified Digimon said, quite liking her new form.

"Perfect." Kira said smiling, "I used to love skateboarding."[/color]

TigerVespamon looked at Reiko then back to Lucemon "If you do not wish to be beaten I would should suggest you leave". Lucemon laughed [i]"you think you can beat me.....you weakling like you!"[/i]. TigerVespamon raised on if its blades towards Lucemon "this is your last chance to leave" Lucemon grinned "Then so be it....Mach Stinger Victory" TigerVespamon charged clipping on of Lucemon wings. [i]" I guess you are pretty strong, but it will take much more then that to beat me"[/i] lucemon raised his hands [i]grand cros......[/i] TigerVespamon charged at Lucemon again clipping his other wing "I know of your strength Lucemon.......I will not underestimate you". TigerVespamon snapped his finger within moments 2 Waspmon and a Cannonbeemon appeared next to him. TigerVespamon stabs his swords into the ground and raised its hands "Im sorry my queen for what i am about to do" the Waspmon and cannonbeemon shattered into light then consumed TigerVespamon.

A new digimon appeared for the light "witness my true form Lucemon.....Kingvespamon". Kingvespamon charged at Lucemon grabbing him by the head "I will not allow you to claim this world. Lucemon started to laugh [i]".....I wasn't asking im going to take it by force"[/i].

Reiko held up he Xros loader Moonmon, Sunmon 2 small digimon appeared for the Xros loader on this the shape of a small Sun the other in the shape of a rain drop. "It's time...." her Xros loader begin to glow "Lucemon....Moonmon....Sunmon...Digi Xross" the two small digimon shot towards Lucemon. Kingvespamon let go of Lucemon and jumped back as Lucemon begin to laugh.

The lion smirked, amused. "How appropriate; a transportation vessel. Well Sparrow, looks like we finally found something you're good at," he said with a toothy grin, interrupted only when he felt an odd weight on his back. He glanced back at Ariel, who was making herself comfortable on the lion's back. She experimented with holding booth of his hoop earrings, but settled on just grabbing two handfuls of mane.

"Let's go! Team Scarlet's first voyage is nigh! To the tops of the highest heavens, to the deepest crevices in the universe, you will find us! The passion of our souls is met only by that of our hearts! To adventure!" she cried, pointing an arrow into the sky. A couple of the DemiMeramon blew up, causing a wall of fire in the background.

Raiamon twitched an eyebrow.

[color=goldenrod]"Heh, I've been DigiXrossed twice in five minutes. When was YOUR last Xros, kitty?" Sparrowmon asked Raiamon, smiling as Kira boarded her, her tennis shoes getting sealed into place by metal braces growing from Sparrowmon's back and sealing her feet in, "Well, that felt... strange." She noted, "It kinda tingled, but... Yeah, there's just no adequate way to describe the feeling of something growing out of your back and sealing a girl in."

"Yeah, it's not exactly a familiar feeling to be sealed into a talking metal sparrow plane hoverboard either, Sparrowmon." Kira said, smiling profusely, "But this is still awesome."[/color]

"Twice already? Mhm, well maybe third time's the charm. But I doubt it." Raiamon muttered, mostly to himself, grinning as he focused for a brief moment and catapulted himself into the air with his powerful limbs.

Ariel was taken by surprise by the height he got in one jump, far higher than she'd ever imagined a creature Raiamon's size was able to jump to. While yes, it'd be difficult to call it a valid substitute for flying -she could feel gravity pulling them down already- she wondered how he'd ever had any difficulty with flying enemies. From what she could see, he could leap as high as most things born in the air.

The cat landed on a stone ledge, absorbing the blow as if he'd done it his entire life and glanced down at Sparrowmon and Kira. "Coming? You'll need to identify your family. Elsewise, there's a large possibility I'd eat them on the way up."

[color="#FF0000"]RedHookmon didn't consider himself an unreasonable man- but this was testing his patience.

[i]Queen's Revenge[/i] was a proud ship, and her bow stood resolute against the ripping waters of Sunken Zone, but she couldn't take this sort of assault for long. The Monmon manned the cannons, changed the rigging and patched up the hull where she were pierced faithfully and with dedication, but their was an air of futility to their efforts. The ripping spines passed elusively through each fired canon ball, ripping through wood slowly but surely and bleeding them dry. It was a formless behemoth, its pelt a dull pink and covered in wing-like flippers covered in spines.

Hookmon hated it.

He cursed the fact his Seadramon had deserted him without reason as soon as they entered the zone, he cursed the beast for being too damned elusive to get a single strike on it, and he even cursed (though quietly, as so nobody else could hear) UltimateChaosmon for failing to provide him with the Apemon crewmen he was accustomed to. A simple recon missioned, he'd said (or rather, his representative said. UltimateChaosmon was not one to give trivial assignments personally to his servants), wouldn't need to enter into a fight he'd said.

He hadn't even [i]reached[/i] the Dark Disturbance and there was already the threat of sinking, and from a pink leviathan at that. He heard a cannon fire, and a pink tail lash up to catch the cannonball. The Monmon scattered, and the draconian creature tossed the cannonball.

The last straw for Hookmon broke that second.

Moving faster than anyone could see, he intercepted the cannonball, skewering the cannonball onto his hook. He gave the beast's tail a hard look.

"Avast ye, delinquent sea beastie," he muttered, "Chew on this!" he cried, spinning and lobbing the cannonball back at the being -now glowing with a red aura-.

The being dodged easily, and the ball fell into the water with a soft plop. Hookmon turned and gave the orders. "Full ahead! Release all masts! Move, ya' fleabitten mangey pack of poor excuses for sailors!" he called, lashing them with his words. They scattered in their own chaotic, efficient manner, and moments later the [i]Queen's Revenge[/i] was happily sailing away. The being that was behind them hadn't expected such quick movement, and made to follow- only for them to give pause at boiling water, moments before the sunken cannonball exploded into a massive plume of chemical flame, sending a geyser of boiling water high into the sky.

Hookmon smirked.

[color=goldenrod]"Didn't you say you and the DemiMeramons were the only ones here?" Kira asked, communicating through her and Ariel's Xros Loaders, which she again seemed to pick up by instinct, "If we're working together, you're not going to threaten to murder my friend's family." She told Raiamon, new found rage boiling up inside her, "I'm not associating with a piece of low life two bit scum like you. Sparrowmon hasn't hurt you. She's just playing around. And what do you do?! You threaten to eat her! You threaten to eat her family!" Her and Sparrowmon flew above Raiamon, "Soon as I get her family, I'm coming down and I'm killing you for the Code Crown. You're not fit to rule." She slammed the Xros Loader shut and slipped it into her back pocket.

"K... Kira?" Sparrowmon asked, a little frightened of her new partner, "Are... are you OK?"

"I'm fine. Let's just get your family back before that piece of garbage eats them."[/color]

Raiamon's ear twitched. "That was an insult. I never threaten; I [i]warn[/i]. With that comment I was insinuating that whichever family she had would be insignificant to the point of being indistinguishable from the general rabble that I feed on now and then, to supplement my higher-tension Melody. I and the DemiMeramon are the only beings of [i]worth[/i] on the surface; on occasion, vermin do scuttle out for a while, and occasionally take to living in crevices in the crags. Meramon live in underground chasms and might walk on the surface now and then, though they generally avoid me."

Ariel seemed surprised. "Code Crown? What's that?"

Raiamon grunted. "The symbol of leadership of a Zone. I possess Solar Zone's crown after I inherited it from its previous ruler. Human, the Sparrow insulted my leadership and my honor and I resolved to kill her for that; a grudge I am willing to overlook in respect to the greater scheme of things. Touch the crown, however, and you insult more than just MY honor- and I will act appropriately. I don't threaten, I warn."

Something occurred to the girl, as Raiamon leaped again up the stone ledges, following after Sparrowmon surprisingly closely. "Hey Raiamon, you said this is a zone. So, it's like a dimension?"

"Essentially. It's an island within the digital Ocean," he responded gruffly.

"Then how'd you get here in the first place?"

"My Pride had attained a Code Crown on its own and traveled here in conquest," he responded almost distractedly.

"Pride? So there's more of you?"

"No."

[color=goldenrod]Kira didn't answer Raiamon, "Sparrowmon, the next time someone attacks Raiamon, let him die." She told her partner, "For now, let's just get your family and..." She looked into the cave Sparrowmon landed in front of and saw a white armored humanoid girl with wings instead of arms and a giant red eagle with two horns, "These are your siblings?" She asked

"Harpymon's my younger sister, and Aquilamon's my younger brother." She said, gesturing to the siblings as she named them and explained, briefly, just what the Hell was going on, "Where are the Pipismons and Patamon though?" She asked as four bats landed square on Kira's head.

"Gah!" She shouted, swatting them away, "Don't do that!" She told the Champions, giggling slightly, "So, I take it you're the Pipismons?"

"The fantastic flying Pipismon brothers!" The one on the far right shouted in a high but definitively male voice, only to get backhanded by the Pipismon next to him.

"And sister, you dimwit." The offending Pipismon said, her voice decidedly female.

"Where'd Patamon fly off to then?" Sparrowmon asked, looking around.

"Oh, she went flying off about ten minutes ago." The male Pipismon from before said, gesturing towards the light at the back of the cave.

"Kira... Isn't Raiamon..." Sparrowmon asked, scared.

"Pipismons, Harpymon, Aquilamon, get in." She said, holding out her Loader as Sparrowmon flew out of the cave.

Meanwhile, Patamon was flying carelessly around the mountain when she noticed Raiamon and a human girl. "Patamon... Dive Bomb!" She said, streamlining her body as much as she could and dropping down onto Raiamon's head.[/color]

Raiamon's honed senses were more than enough to alert him of the furry projectile that was flying at him and swat at it. What he noticed at the last second allowed him to retract his claws and change his possibly fatal swat into essentially a backhanded deflection of the child digimon that was flying at him.

"A Patamon?" he muttered with slight confusion. "They don't live in this area. I presume, then, you are a member of the family Sparrow boasts about."

Ariel blinked and squinted, trying to see if there was a family resemblance. There was not.

"How can you tell?" she asked.

"It is doubtful a Patamon could make their way to this Zone without a group. Besides, a winged yellowish creature that seemed intent on annoying me... it seemed a reasonable guess."

[color=goldenrod]"Mean kitty!" The Patamon said, shooting a Boom Bubble at Raiamon that really amounted to nothing more than a minor annoyance and a ruffling of his mane before she latched onto Ariel and wrapped her wing ears around the human's next, "Patamon... Hug!" The winged gerbil thingy shouted, cuddling up to Ariel, "So... Are you a wandering adventure out to save the world from imminent destruction by amassing a team of cute and powerful warriors to help you defeat the forces of evil and rule the entire world with kindness and understanding?" She asked, "If you're not, do you know where I can happen to come across a person like that?"[/color]

Raiamon grunted slightly, growling a little under his breath, but he recognized the Patamon was likely no more than a kit and held his tongue -as well as his claws- especially when his General began to squee and pet the furry creature around her neck.

"Hell yeah I am!" she declared, pumping a fist towards the sky. "We are the something that will reach the heavens!" she declared, before momentarily pausing. "Admittedly, we need to decide on a properly badass creed still, but we're a ragtag group of adventurers destined to learn the value of friendship and courage, honest!" she said smiling. Raiamon grunted. "I presume you're one of the ones they sent Sparrow up to get," he muttered.

[color=goldenrod]"Friendship and courage?" Patamon asked, tilting her head slightly and looking up at Ariel, "Aren't you missing a few more values?" She asked, "Also, I don't think heroic adventures use bad words like that."

Sparrowmon, meanwhile, had just now passed into view, "Patamon!" The golden Digimon shouted happily, "You really shouldn't run off like that! What if you were... found by... Aw crap..." She said when she finally noticed that Ariel was still sitting on Raiamon's back. She lowered herself until she was no more than a foot above the ground and let Kira jump off, her feet unsealing themselves as soon as it was safe for them to do so before her wings lowered themselves again and she aimed her Zanahoria at Raiamon, "Let my niece go." She told him, the third arm behind her head popping out with a third Zanahoria, also aimed right at Raiamon.[/color]

Ariel had to think on them. What was it her dad had said once?

"Of course you're allowed to use certain bad words." she said with a smile. "'Badass' isn't a bad word, it's a description meaning awesome. And you're allowed to use 'hell' as either a description of an ordeal to overcome, or for punctuation in particularly badass creeds... or at least [i]totally badass warriors[/i] are allowed to use them like that!" she smiled a bit. "But outside of those contexts yeah, they are a bit rude. And Courage, Friendship... mhm..." she thought to herself, clicking her heels lightly against Raiamon's side.

"Nope!" she said, smiling. "Those are the only important ones! Even if there were others, I'm sure they'd get nowhere near the focus of the other two, anyway."

Raiamon raised an eyebrow, entirely unphased but somewhat curious about the random third arm. "I realize 'thinking' is not your strong point, Sparrow, but I find it difficult to believe you somehow misconstrued this situation. The child is clinging to my General in an affectionate manner and all four of my claws are set on the ground. There's no honor in harming a child anyway, something I'm sure you wouldn't understand."

[color=goldenrod]Sparrowmon set her both of her Zanahoria on the ground and popped her visor off, breathing on it and wiping it clean with one of her gloves before putting it back over her eyes, "Oh, so she is. But still, don't try anything." She flew over to Raiamon and whispered quietly so only the two of them could hear, "If you so much as nudge any of my family, to Hell with honor, I'll kill you in your sleep and never think twice about it. You harm PATAMON, and I'll rip you limb from limb."

"Harpymon, Aquilamon, Pipismons, Reload." Kira said as her Xros Loader glowed and six new Digimon appeared around her in a stream of light. About a second after they newly summoned Digimon appeared and saw Patamon, Harpymon and the female Pipismon flew over to Ariel and tackle hugged her off of Raimon's back.

"PATAMON!" They both shouted happily.[/color]

"Urk!" Ariel managed to get out as she was struck down by the pair of feathered digimon, knocked off by their weight to the rocky group below. Raiamon snorted at the ridiculousness of the situation before looking back at Sparrowmon. "Threats are meaningless. But once again, there's no honor in harming a child and no benefit in harming an ally; they have little to fear."

When Ariel managed to pull herself free of the embracing digimon, Raiamon cleared his throat. "Ahem. If our business is concluded, shall we depart?" he asked, his tail flicking in impatience. "I'm sorry to say I hold little fondness for this zone, Lord of it though I may be. Human." he said, nodding at Ariel. A small object from within him glowed, and with a trace of Digimelody on the air (A low piece with an audible baseline and sharp notes like lightning), it separated, falling delicately into Ariel's hand where it was revealed to be a chip of some sort. A large sun was depicted on it.

"That is the Code Crown of this zone. It belongs to me, however it is required in order to open a passage, so I loan it to you, General." he said almost boredly. "I expect it to be returned."

"Awesome..." Ariel muttered to herself, holding the Crown up into the light.

[color=goldenrod]"There's no honor in threatening one either." She told Raiamon, "Didn't stop you from saying you were going to kill and eat them." She retracted her third arm, "You may be cute, but I don't allow anyone to threaten my family." As she turned and flew away, she nudged him in the ribs with one of her wings, "Don't forget that you're just a Champion, kitten."

"OK, so, let me introduce you to the team." Kira told Ariel, getting over her previous outrage rather quickly, too quickly for any sane person, certainly, "The two that attacked you were Harpymon and Pipismon, the other small things that look exactly like Pipismon are the male Pipismon, and the red eagle is Aquilamon."[/color]

Raiamon felt like adding that he hadn't actually threatened anyone, but figured there was no point. He grunted a little when she tapped him in the ribs, giving her a slight glare from the corners of his eyes, but otherwise decided to ignore the sparrow and sit down while the group got acquainted.

"Excellent!" Ariel declared, pumping a fist into the air. "As the badass leader of team Scarlet Ribbon, I declare our kickass adventure to be at their beginning! Together, we can beat anything!"

She grinned. "Welcome to the team!"
