As Talon emerged from the dark and cloudy pool, he coughed hastily, spitting the liquid back into the water. Stroking rapidly for shore, Talon soon remembered his inability to swim. Moving with all his might, Talon finally reached the sandy shore. --------------------------------------------------- After what seemed to be an eternity of involuntarily coughing up water and regaining his patten of breathe, Talon got up. Taken a good look at his surroundings (as he always does), Talon made note of the most obvious flaw. Complete darkness. The sky matches the water, a shade of deep purple so dark, it looks black. Black sand lies on the beach, and covers most of Talon. Lacking trees and all other common vegetation, Talon wonders where he is. His heart races as a shadowy figure floats about behind him. Hydra of Ages
The sun shouldn't look like that. No, really, it shouldn't. Ariel was fairly certain that, if nothing else, the sun wasn't that big. Nor was it red, periodically flaring with bright tongues of flame, or have an aura of crackling neon light circling it like a gigantic ring. Logically, that meant this wasn't the sun. Unfortunately, it was one of the few things in the sky -largely because it took up basically the entire sky-, and the usual glowing yellow ball seemed absent. Plus, Ariel was becoming increasingly aware that she was laying down alone on a rocky crag in the middle of nowhere, which was equally impossible; she lived in the city anyway. She would have stared at the sky, blissfully trying to disprove reality, if she didn't realize it was getting hot. Ironic that a place with a sun that big would only be getting warm NOW, but it was starting to get incredibly uncomfortable- she shrugged off her coat, but even that was barely enough. It was getting sauna-like- she could feel her shoulder almost getting burned and shifted herself to the right to avoid undue burning. It was only a couple moments she realized how odd it was that only her left shoulder felt that hot. She stared off to the left. A ball of fire stared back. She blinked. It blinked back. It was so sudden, she barely had time to register. When taken by surprise, it's always important to do something- if you don't, you risk being hammered in the face. So, immediately after exchanging bewildered blinks, "Fire!" she yelled, pointing off into the craggy distance. The fireball turned around to look. As it was turned around, she hurriedly rushed forward and punted it from the back, scalding her toes but sending the glob of yellowish-red screaming into the sky, before arcing gracefully downward and falling down a thick, deep crag. She sighed in relief and grinned, loosening her shoulders a little. "The score: Ariel, 1. The element of fire itself? Zippo." Brushing herself off and turning to leave, she noticed a flash of color from the corner of her eye. Had the thing managed to crawl its way out? It was only then she saw the mistake she had made. Firstly, fire could apparently levitate- kicking it down a crag only slowed it down. And secondly, it wasn't alone. A swarm of living fire seemed to rush from under the crag, crackling in anger and calling out for her blood. She took a step backward, but readied her fists; if fire wanted a piece of her, they'd first have to get past her burning heart first! Which, admittedly, fire would probably be pretty good at doing. Blackstone Dresden
"What... what the Hell's going on..." Kira muttered, looking at another girl and a swarm of fireballs, "Ugh... did I overdose on my pills again?" She muttered, half asleep. The brunette took a deep breath and just... stopped, taking a few more breaths, hesitantly at first, but then with more and more enthusiasm before finally shouting "Wooo hooo!!!" which probably drew attention to her from both the DemiMeramon swarm and the other girl, "Uh... hi..." She said sheepishly, waving her hand timidly at them, "Uh... what's going on?"
Hydra of Ages
The swarm of DemiMeramon paused en masse, along with Ariel as they turned to see another girl a few steps away. A couple of the living fireballs turned to their neighbors and whispered things muffled by the sounds of their flames, and Ariel stared a little bit. Blond hair, jeans, tee-shirt... she looked like a regular girl. Which meant that she probably knew what was going on, and why fire itself decided to take issue with her. "Hey! You!" she yelled, waving her arms. "Any idea why we're here, and I'm being attacked by demonic balls of fire?" "Demonic?!" one of the flames squeaked, "I'll make you pay for that!" he said as he charged forward, directly into Ariel's fist as he was knocked back. Ariel hopped a little, rubbing her knuckles after making sure they weren't badly burned, and the rest of the elemental orbs looked to eachother grimly. "Get her!" they yelled again, once again descending into mob tactics. With a screech of battle, they bounced up and down like balls and charged Ariel, several of them getting knocked by by a strike from her arm and a well-placed kicked before they attacked again. A couple crawled on the ground and gnawed at her ankles; she twisted and shook them off, kicking another one in the face. Still, they charged again, trying to overwhelm her with their vast heat, when- GROAAWWW! Everyone stopped once again as a giant roar pierced the air. The DemiMeramon hanging off her limbs' jaws slackened, and fell to the ground, not bothering to get up again. From atop a large clifftop, a lion-like figure appeared, silhouetted against the gigantic sun. "A... cat?" she said with a double blink, looking towards the other girl. "Does any of this make any more sense to you, or should I just keep winging it?"
Blackstone Dresden
"Uh... we come in peace?" Kira asked, holding out her hands as the cat roared, "Yeah, I'm as lost as you are, probably somewhat more so, but that's not really important." She admitted, looking up and seeing what appeared to be a jet flying by above them, "Hey! Down here!" She called up before realizing that the jet in question was bright yellow and appeared to have hands holding laser pistols, "Oh crap..." She mumbled as the jet flew down towards them, apparently closer than Kira initially judged and appeared to have a face, "Yeah, I definitely took too many pills this morning..." She mumbled.

NeoDevimon asked, hovering besides the teen he called Chrono, "...Yes, maybe they'll be of assis-" Chrono was interuppted by a sudden pain in his head, the teen grasped his helmet. Arekku_Koro
FROST ZONE ------------------- Well, this had been unexpected. Milo hugged himself in a futile attempt to warm up, as he had now found himself in a zone enraptured in a deep snow. When Milo jumped at the call of his Loader in order to rescue the dying Kumamon, he had no idea how unsuited a human like him was for these harsh environments. "Uh, hey, Kumamon, isn't it? Is there anywhere we could, say, find a coat or something? I'm freezing here!" "Apologies, General! But unfortunately, I don't think any Fur Tree's are still growing this season, kuma." Fur trees. Milo wasn't surprised. "Well, is there any shelter close to here?" Milo asked. "Hmm. I think the Oasis Village is somwhere close to here, kuma." "Great, an oasis sounds prefect right now." Milo clutched his white Xros Loader as he and his new partner trekked across the frozen tundra. Yoko Kurama
TALON Talon jumped in his place as the figure spoke to him. "My name, your wondering?" The strange grammar puzzled Talon, yet he had no time to ponder incorrect English in his new situation. "Yes, i suppose." "Ba'almon, my name is Ba'almon." Talon studied the bases of the name, trying to identify where such a name would be common or originate. "You will not find your logic here, as my name isn't common. I am a Digimon." Talon and Ba'almon conversed for hours, explaining each other and their worlds. Ba'almon was enlisted into Talon's army, as Talon was informed of the war that was occurring. After hearing of Ba'almon's past, Talon found it interesting that he was so apt to share his information, and join Talon. "I have a friend. Actually I have only this one friend, and I believe they may assist us as well." "I would like to meet this friend. But can we go slowly? I want to admire the world. They set off, to find Lekismon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TESS A large green gate of data closed behind Tess. "So this is that Midnight Zone you wanted to visit?" Asuramon cackled, "Not visit, but conquer." Tess looked around a bit, noticing a dark beach with purple water. "There." Hydra of Ages
Raiamon leaped from his lofty perch with a snarl, his claws burning with bright energy as they sank into the body of the devil beneath him. An intruder to Solar Zone was bad enough- a demonic intruder attempting to prey on the weak was inexcusable. As Lord and God of his realm, he would not tolerate a blemish of darkness like that encroaching in on his realm, as he tore into the flying demon's back with his wicked claws. He noticed, from his peripheral vision, Sparrowmon flying about. The creature had been an incessant thorn in his side for a time, but Raiamon never considered her enough of a threat to warrant personal attention. Solar Zone's dry planes were home to little that wasn't holed away into its deep crags, and Raiamon was Lord of the surface. The skies, unfortunately, were largely aware of him- which is why pesky intruding prey like Sparrowmon and this annoying flighty demon thought they were safe to conduct aerial raids. He resisted a snarl at the notion. He had the power to destroy anyone who came his way. The trouble, more often than not, was reaching them. If only there was a way to break the limitations of his earthbound body...

Chrono, upon seeing this, pulled out his Loader and pointed it infront of him, summoning a woman with glaring red eyes in black clothing. "LadyDevimon! Arekku_Koro
FROST ZONE ------------------ Kumamon and Milo had made there way to Oasis Village. In the middle of the arctic tundra, the village lived up to it's name quite well. Milo and Kumamon had found an Inn to stay at, and Milo was able to warm up quite nicely, although he kept a slight cold. Although it didn't matter to Milo, he'd been in a daze ever since the blinding light of his Xros Loader sent him to this world and saved his life. "Kumamon, how is it possible a warm village like this can exist in the arctic?" Milo questioned. "The data from a warmer zone must have been transplanted here after the great divide, kuma." Kumamon replied. "Great Divide?" "The split Lord UltimateChaosmon created when he destroyed the code crown, kuma." "What's the code crown?" "The code crown was the life force of the Digital World. When it was shattered, so did the world itself, into small sections none as Zones." "So UltimateChaosmon is your king?" Milo asked. "No. He is the king of the Digital World, but he will never be my king, Kumamon" Kumamon replied, looking away from Milo's eyes. "I see." Milo applied and dropped the topic, as he eyed his Xros Loader. The voice had told him it could bond the melodies of life. But what did it mean? Suddenly, a YukiAgumon ran into the inn. "The Chaos Empire is attacking! They're trying to capture a piece of the code crown!" YukiAgumon yelled with a look of panic on his reptilian face. Kumamon stared at Milo straight in the eyes and said, "Milo, Showtime, kuma." Milo knew he had to fight. But he didn't know how.
Hydra of Ages
Raiamon's senses were highly refined from the long hours he spent training and meditating under the Digital Sun, and as such he sensed the Evil Wing attack long before he heard it. With a last swipe at the back of the flailing demon's neck, he leaped from NeoDevimon's back and into the skies, where he twisted to face the oncoming hoard. As the thousand squeaking, tearing claws approached, they were met with a sudden burst of static as the electromagnetic area was momentarily discharged, causing a mass of sparks around the Raiamon's mane. "To those who defy my rule, feel my Thunder of King!" he declared, discharging a wide bolt of fang-shaped electricity into the mass and destructing each of the bats in violent explosions. Falling to the ground, he brushed his legs against a nearby clifface to reorient himself and fell heavily on all four legs, though he spared but a grunt for the actual impact, landing as Ariel gave a gasp at his fancy tricks. "Mister Lion! That was really cool!" She called at him, waving her hands. His DemiMeramon cheered from behind her, their petty grudge entirely forgotten as they watched their leader fight against an intruder. A couple of them fired small balls of flame into the air, exploding like miniature fireworks.
Yoko Kurama
You may notice, Talon's thoughts are in first person. Thats just my style of writing. TALON Talon walked slowly towards the small castle type building. "A bit medieval for the Digital World isn't it?" Ba'almon laughed quietly to himself, expecting Talon not to hear it. "Your 'medieval' is an ancient art in architecture. Regardless of the its time of popularity, it provides formidable defenses." Talon studied his sentence. Defenses....obviously they are expecting the war to be brought here.... "Has the war come here yet?" "No." His harsh response raised the hairs on Talon's neck. "It has not and it will not." "So the castle is necessary because...?" "It does not matter, nor does it concern you. Lets move inside, you looked exhausted." Wrong. I am no more exhausted than he is friendly. I want to learn and explore!
Arekku_Koro
FROST ZONE ------------------ Milo and Kumamon went outside the inn to observe the scene. The village's population of Ikkakumon and Snowagumon were desperately trying to fight off the Chaos Army. The efforts of the villagers were ultimately fruitless, as the Chaos Army's Commandramon vanguards had decimated the city. The data fragments of dead Digimon peppered the atmosphere. Kumamon clutched his rocket launcher, the Romeo, and started firing. "Blizzard Blaster!" He bellowed, as hyper-fast snowballs barraged the enemy armada. This attack wiped out a large portion of enemy troops, but it still wasn't quite enough. "Kill them all! Melt there icy bodies with your bullets!" Shouted Regulumon, the Chaos Army's current General. "Over my dead body, kuma!" Said Kumamon (obviously) just before he let out a Crystal Freeze attack, blowing out an icy wind that froze all in it's path. The enemy troops had been frozen if their tracks, a hulking Regulumon all that remained. "JÅ«ouha!" yelled Regulumon, and a pulsing energy blast exploded from his index finger, wiping out the Village Inn. Milo had been watching the whole battle from the sidelines, but this had put him over the edge. All of the Digimon he had met in the Inn had just been deleted in an instant, and next Kumamon, his only companion, would die too. He had to act quickly. "Frozen Tundra!" Kumamon let out his most powerful attack on Regulumon, but it did no good. "Child, come here." What was that? Milo heard an elegant voice in his head, much like he heard Kumamon's. It was the voice of a dying Digimon. He looked at his Loader, and it displayed a map. The icon showed that the voice was close by. He ran his way to it in less than a minute. It was a tall black digimon with a red pattern, dark wings, and sharp digits. "Who are you?" Milo asked. "Devimon" The creature stated,"of the Chaos Army. You need my help, and I need yours. Take me into your Army, and I shall serve you." "What's in it for you?" Milo questioned. "Not dying." said Devimon. Fair point. Milo thought. Blackstone Dresden
"Random Laser!" Sparrowmon shouted, shooting several dozen bursts from all three of her guns at LadyDevimon and NeoDevimon, "Stop picking on the poor landlocked kitten." She said mockingly, "Poor wittle thing must be so scared out of his mind right now at you mean nasty bats." The yellow jet Digimon rushed towards the two -Devimon and split into four separate Digimon, "Crash Boom!" Yoko Kurama
Talon walked through the main corridor, examining the lack of anything. Bare walls, no rugs or carpet. No artificial lighting. Not even a candle. They don't do a very good job of implementing true medieval housing... A thunderous boom shook the floor. Light began to fill the gray room. "Ba'almon." The tiny creature that released the noise had an almost female tone. "Lekismon, how are you?" Talon had a strange feeling that the relationship between the two was only one-sided, and that side was Ba'almon's. The conversation lasted an eternity. Actually only about an hour, but Talon's low level of involvement seemed to drag it on. "I will defend Midnight Zone, Ba'almon, but is it necessary that I follow under a human to do so?" Talon spoke up. "From what I have learned of this strange, forsaken world, it would probably be best I have more than one counterpart. I won't last alone..." Talon's weak voice must have ignited something in Lekismon, as there was an instant agreement. "Things are going well for you Talon. You are unharmed, and have 2 soldiers for your armada." Talon's mind quickly left the conversation and focused on his surroundings again, as it was time to leave.
Hydra of Ages
Ariel had been grinning before- but now she was positively radiating glee, smiling broad enough her face was in danger of cracking and clenching her fists now and then. "Dream? Nah, no dream could possibly be this awesome!" she exclaimed, pumping a fist in the air, punctuated by one of the Mera fireworks going off in the background. "Obviously we've been brought to a different world! I'm not sure why, but I'm fairly certain that the giant flying demons are the bad guys, and the lion and jet-thing are the good guys. Oh, and the sun on this world is really big for some reason," she felt necessary to add, smiling all the way while beginning to resemble a human parakeet, her red jacket coming dangerously close to flaring out in a cinematic fashion. One of the DemiMeramon hopped over to them (despite hovering in the air), the flames on his head flickering excitedly. "Doods, what'cha doing talking while the Boss is fighting? He's so awesome! You gotta watch close to make sure you don't miss a second of it!" it said, hopping up and down. Ariel grinned down at it. "Which one's your boss, then?" she mused, "the lion or the jet? Oh, and sorry for punting you before. Reflex and all." "No worries! Lord Raiamon does it all the time, and it's an honor!" it said, almost giggling with glee. "Lord Raiamon is the bestest lord in all the zones! And it's great that he has some enemies to fight, because he's been in a rough mood for a while." the fireball looked pensive. "That Sparrowmon there just rubs him the wrong way, and she refuses to leave. The Lord thinks she's trying to take the Code Crown, though I don't think she's with Lord UltimateChaosmon. Either way, he keeps trying to reach her by jumping off the mountaintops, but she's too fast for him to pounce on... not sure why she's helping him now..." Ariel had sparkles in her eyes. "Because they're comrades in arms, right?! Rivals, eternally to struggle against eachother- until they get an enemy in common, in which they release the true power of their teamwork! That's how it works, right? You all come together to support eachother! In fact, why aren't you helping Mr. Raiamon then?" The DemiMeramon looked briefly shocked. "Me? U-Us? Miss, we're just DemiMeramon. We can't fight, we swarm together for protection, and even that's not enough. Lord Raiamon keeps us safe! We'd just be a hindrance..." "No you wouldn't! No amount of teamwork is ever a hindrance!" she searched her pockets, and eventually came up with a bright red strip of ribbon. She held it in-front of her. "See this piece of ribbon? My dad gave it to me! He says that the bonds that tie us together are the source of our strength, and we can do anything if we dedicate our hearts to it enough- oh?" she paused as the ribbon seemed to resound with energy. There was a sound, almost like a chime or a short soundbite, as red light consumed her hand and the ribbon, eventually condencing and reforming into a small hand-held device, colored a bright scarlet. It had a display, an almost razor-like output port that almost seemed like some sort of speaker, and a dial on the front... as well as a red strap made of scarlet ribbon. "W-What's this?" she said, somewhat startled, as she examined the device. "An Xros Loader..." the DemiMeramon said, stunned and almost reverent before he started bouncing. "You're a general! a general!"
VGVentus
NeoDevimon and LadyDevimon dodged the Sparrowmon's attacks and then looked at each other, "You go after Sparrowmon my sweet, the Raiamon's mine!" NeoDevimon said to LadyDevimon, speeding towards Raiamon before she could disagree. "Why did I fall in love with a egotistical moron?" LadyDevimon asked herself, before turning towards the Sparrowmon, "Prepare to suffer a world of pain! Black Wing!" Her left arm suddenly transformed into a long spike. While LadyDevimon was charging at Sparrowmon with her attack, NeoDevimon was soaring towards Raiamon with Guilty Claw. Chrono spoke to his Xros Loader, "As soon as I give you the command, ambush the human MarineDevimon..." he suddenly yelled in pain, his master was furious with him. "...Never mind, MarineDevimon, capture Raiamon as soon as he's weak enough!"
Hydra of Ages
Raiamon stared down NeoDevimon he approached with cold, unblinking eyes, before suddenly breaking into a snarl the moment the devil came close enough, every frame of his movement slowed to a crawl through predator's eyes. His movement, the extension of his arm, every slight wobble... almost too fast to see, he darted out at a key moment, his claws and teeth glowing with bright golden energy like flames. "CRITICAL STRIKE" he declared, ripping every searching sharp point across one of the flaws, the weakpoints in the enemy's stance and slashing across it like razor-white iron. He came to a complete stop only after he felt the attack connect, waiting for a brief second as the opponent's body caught up, surely cut to ribbons by the perfection of his strokes. He was the emperor, after all. Through Ariel's eyes, the attack wasn't quite as fast, not as perfect as he himself would claim; the lion moved, while extraordinarily quickly, very shortly. His strikes were so pointed that it was likely the wobble of his throws had put them off center by a few key centimeters, missing the 'instant kill' mark and instead going for pure damage. It was still a rather good show, of course, but maybe not the instant finisher Raiamon had convinced himself it was.
Blackstone Dresden
"Come on jet girl thingy!" Kira shouted, "Kick her ass!" "Really great tactical support, fleshbag." Sparrowmon said with the same joking mockery that she used against Raiamon, "Wing Edge!" The golden jet's wings sprouted silver blades that collided with LadyDevimon's spike, neither one giving an inch in the struggle, though Sparrowmon still had her Zanahoria, "Random Laser!" She called, firing at the devil woman with two of her three lasers. "Doesn't she look sooooooooooo cute when she's shooting her little lasers?" VGVentus
NeoDevimon immediatley stopped the moment he realised what Raiamon was doing, barely dodging the Critical Strike. "Why won't you keep still?" NeoDevimon snarled, moving to the side of Raiamon, his eyes glowing white, "Deep Sorrow!" a wave of depression surrounded NeoDevimon, protecting him somewhat. LadyDevimon swung herself round Sparrowmon's Wind Edge and launched a Dark Wing into her back, confident that she couldn't dodge... Chrono was observing the situation, deciding enough was enough, he brought out MarineDevimon, "Marine, assist Neo!" Chrono barked at the Digimon, pointing towards Raiamon and NeoDevimon. MarineDevimon nodded and launched himself at Raiamon, spraying venimous ink from his mouth straight at the Lion Digimon.

The yellow bird Digimon shot forward like a bullet, breaking the sound barrier less than a millisecond after and splitting into four multicolored illusions until she was well out of the way of LadyDevimon's Dark Wing attack, at which point the illusions about faced and merged back into Sparrowmon, "That all you got, batb*tch?" Hydra of Ages
Raiamon's pupil flicked backward at the last second, noticing MarineDeimon's movements, and he quickly dodged out of the way of the poisonous ink, backing behind it as cloud cover to obscure his position from enemies. Without any warning, a mighty flash of tearing lighting bored through the cloud bank -three bolts, aimed meticulously- as one sailed directly at MarineDevimon and another at NeoDevimon. Not willing to let his attack go unaided, he followed his techniques with a howl as he leaped behind them, all his sharp points once again gaining a gold glow as he charged forward, banking suddenly to a side now and then and flanking his enemies. Without more than a moment to aim, his Critical Strikes weren't quite as precise, but they lost no speed. Falling from one attack to the next, he slashed at MarineDevimon as he envisioned tearing him apart and moved fluidly into a second attack, striking at NeoDevimon though his dark shield obscured his weak points. Though the shield was annoying, his claws could still carve through it like butter, tearing wide gashes in the shield of depression even if he missed entirely. The third bolt of energy, not launched towards the two fighters, arced upwards to where both of Raiamon's aerial foes were fighting. Ariel chuckled a little as the battle went on. "Maybe. Think that lion would let me ride him as a mount? It would probably look really cool." she giggled to herself, then frowned a little. "Well, that's not fair, is it? Three against two? ...Hey, fireballs, shouldn't you be helping the lion? Raiamon?" The DemiMeramon she'd been talking to bounced a bit more. "But we can! With your help! You're a general!" "What does that mean?" she muttered, looking a little closer as the device in her hand that her ribbon had transformed into and fiddled with it a little. "Generals lead armies! They're humans that have Xros Loaders, which allow us to harmonize our data with eachother!" "Hunh... harmonize your data..." she muttered, staring at it. She recalled a concept that sounded a long time ago, from her father. Harmonize your heartbeats, he had said, and together, nobody could stand in your way. If that was true, then maybe... She held her Xros Loader in front of her. "Hey, you guys... want to help me test something?" she asked with a grin, giggling a little as the DemiMeramon cheered and hopped up and down.
