What?

I have this unusual tendency to respond to everything by saying "what?".

Like when someone's talking to me, but I'm half-listening, I'll say what out of habit, even though I can hear what they're saying. After I say 'what,' the person's voice registers in my head, and the 'what' sort of becomes redundant. Idk how to explain it. x)

Anyone else do this? Or if not, what unusual habits or tendencies do you have?

Same, same.
And i love how it happens in the worst of cases.
I.e, To a teacher, or to an attractive female i'd like to "mingle" with.

The "what" becomes all they can register, and because of it, you are now self involved and care nothing about what other people have to say,
I say, f*** the word.

I do it, but it's different for me. I'm slightly deaf out of my right ear, meaning I can only hear REALLY loud noises or whispers which is right at my right ear. Other than that, I can't hear anything out of my right ear.

So, I have to really pay attention when someone's talking or else I can't really hear them. But it's hard for me since I have a short attention span. So, I usually say "What?" a lot when someone finishes talking to me. They get frustrated after I do it a lot, especially my sister. Can't help it though.

Also, another weird tendency I have is...weird. I almost always use the word "defiantly" when responding to something, on the internet or real life. Like they ask a question, I'll be like "Defiantly." Not exactly sure why.
