20 years from now, Scott Pilgrim might be on that list...

ill kill my self before that happens and it wouldnt happen because that movie would never be used as a reference joke for family guy....... i cant think of any recent movie (2005-2011) that would go it to that list ever

Avatar (I personally don't think it was good enough, but it's so popular it probably would)
That's all I can think of.

There are a lot of movies missing in this list, including the Family Guy remark.

For example, The Day the Earth Stood Still (the 1951 version, not the one with Keanu Reeves), Singing in the Rain, Casablanca, The Godfather Trilogy, Both versions of The Thing (the one with Kurt Russell is better and closer to the book, but the original called The Thing from Another World is fun in its own way), Terminator, Die Hard, The original Rambo movie, Enter The Dragon, Predator, Titanic, Avatar, Saw, 12 Angry Men, Airplane, The Jazz Singer, Revenge of the Nerds, Animal House, Ghostbusters, Stripes, etc. I could honestly expand this to epic proportions.

I count classics as old movies people can reference to.

Except you can't for this one, as I guess its not known very well.

Dang, that movie gave me a headache towards the end ><

I still recommend watching it, though. Its an interesting experience.

thx for more on the list im missing a lot becasue well there are a lot go through stick em in there and talk about the ones even not on the list and tell me why you think its a classic and whats so great about it and all that jazz... some honorable mentions loved singing in the rain btw frank sinatra ftw, die hard thank you, 12 angery men, enter the dragon, nice i dont want to count all the other ones because many recent changes but those 4 yes definatly

The thing that makes old movies good is the fact that there were no special effects to fall back on. If the actors sucked or the story sucked, the movie was horrible. Today, many actors suffer from a lack of talent and good storylines are few and far between. Some are good, but very few are memorable.

it turns out you have the same movie critique mind set as i do
