king of fighters VS. street fighter

okay why this question must be asked
every has played street fighter once in their life
ALMOST everyone who liked street fighter tryed out King of fighters in their lives

[spoiler=my rant? KOF should be better]king of fighters started in 1994 when i was born with king of fighters 94
while street fighter started in 1987 with street fighter

now id have to say street fighter had a bad start and they're really shaky in gameplay and they really messed it up with alpha but i admit they got alot better once they started making it 3D graphics instead of the classic 2 demensional, not becasue of the graphics but because of how well that acted with the game play.

king of fighters on the other hand started out poor (started much later than street fighter when they had better mechanics to work with so standards were not met even if it was faster than the first street fighter), but they got significanty better every time untill 2002, right after it hit that point the graphics bumped up but the game play started to deminish and maximum impact was just really corney.

i used to love KOF way more than SF but damnit my opinion is starting to swing KOF should be getting better like SF not worse[/spoiler]

which do you prefer?
whats good about one and bad bout the other?
