Soul Reapers defending the Human World, fighting Hollows while amidst humans.

10 years in the future of the Bleach storyline we all know and love, Hollows have made a monstrous comeback in terms of their numbers and strength. The main characters, a fresh batch of recruits, must learn how to defend the Human World. They will go through many difficult challenges, many trying trials, and many painful experiences. They will be forced to learn Bankai in a short amount of time; however, thanks to Kisuke Urahara,Yoruichi, and [b]*The Head Captain of the Royal Guard, Burrado[/b] they will lend a hand in order to train these recruits to get their bankai.

Karakura Town remains relatively unchanged; Ichigo is still a "Substitute Soul Reaper", watching over the Human World. Rukia and the other Soul Reapers are busy training the fresh recruits. That is, until one day, when Ichigo appears in the Soul Society, bloodied and battered, almost killed by Hollows.

It is up to the Soul Reapers, experienced and freshly recruited, to save the Human World from the constant threat of the Strengthening Hollows.

* = Burrado Matsumoto, the younger brother of Rangiku Matsumoto, was promoted to the Royal Guard as a young child due to his abilities surpassing the Head captain's. He looks to be of 15 years of age, and his facial and hair features rival that of Ichigo's. However, Burrado's hair is brown. [b]Bio:[/b] Fresh out of recruiting, Ren has big dreams, and a newfound appreciation for being able to be a Soul Reaper. His father has suggested against him becoming a Soul Reaper, but his mother encouraged him to push on. The day after, his parents, while retrieving water, were killed by Hollows. Ren has vowed to avenge his parents; to find the Hollow(s) responsible and eliminate them. He signed up to be a Soul Reaper the next day. Legends swirling around his family say that he will one day control a powerful Bankai capable of bringing the mightiest enemies to their knees.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Kazeryu no Higashi (Wind Dragon of the East)
[b]Shikai Abilities:[/b] Able to summon mighty gusts of wind. Grants levitation to the wielder (feet are 2-5 inches off the ground). When focused on a particular target, the blade of the Shikai can release a powerful wind blast capable of severe internal trauma. Has a great, but not very far, range when blows are not concentrated (15-30 feet). The drawbacks: Shikai can only be summoned with the right hand (hence the East). Wind has an extremely limited range when concentrated (5-10 feet). Wind effectively grows weaker as the wielder becomes fatigued. Shikai will disappear on the left side (like a sun setting in the West) when wielder passes out

[b]Bankai Abilities:[/b] Releases a powerful wind pressure around it, affecting everyone except the wielder. Grants flight to the wielder as long as he holds the wind chain. The Bankai is quite intelligent, and it behaves as an Eastern Dragon would. The Bankai can release a powerful wind blast capable of leveling mountains. Has powerful control over the wind. The drawbacks: Cannot discern between friend and foe. If the wielder takes enough damage, the Bankai will go berserk and rampage out of control of the wielder. Strength and wind pressure will decrease as the wielder becomes excessively fatigued, and the Bankai itself will disappear if the wielder passes out, reverting back to Zanpakuto form.

[b]Bio:[/b] The name Akira fits him well. It literally means 'Killer' and a Killer he is. Entering the soul academy at the age of 8, he is the youngest person to ever be accepted into the academy. No one could ever understand why, as his Zanjutsu and Hand-to-hand combat were terrible. However, unseen by all but his teachers, his Kido was amazing. He was already performing Kido up to 50 without a phrase, and could perform all Kido up to 70. He was also amazingly intelligent, able to create almost faultless tactics. Seeing this, his teachers sent him into a special training program, reserved for only the most talented Students. No one is really sure what happened there, as he is unable to say anything about it. It's not that he doesn't want to - although he doesn't exactly like talking about it - he is quite literallly unable. He left the academy aged 12, almost as young as Toshiro was. He entered Gotei Squad 10, under Toshiro, and progressed rapidly. However, he was taken out of the Squad by Burrado Matsumoto just before he reached the rank of Lieutenant, aged 13. He has been training under Burrado for the last 3 years, master Bankai and becoming more powerful than he ever would've if he'd stayed in his squad. He can now perform all Kido up to 99, and is working on inventing a Hado 100. Anyway, I was on about his name. He was trained to be a killer, and that he is. He rarely talks, normally either nodding or shaking his head to answer, he can reply to nearly any question with a facial expression. Although he is generally quiet and dark, keeping to himself, he's usually happy and upbeat, being optimistic about most things.

Each form also enhances one of his bodies natural Powers. The Water Form increases his Defence, the Air form his speed, Earth his strength and Fire his Kido. The Water form takes the Shape of a Halberd/Spear weapon, his Fire form is a Whip, His earth form a Long Sword and his Air Form is a Bladed Chakram. He can change between these forms relatively quickly, but each time he does it weakens him and reduces his time in Shikai. His total time in Shikai is 30 Minutes, and each time he changes form, he loses five minutes.

[b]Name:[/b] Kirino Sasayaku
[b]Gender:[/b] Male
[b]Bio: (4-7 Sentences)[/b] A quiet, closed-off sort of guy, it was his dream to become a Soul Reaper ever since he watched one defeat the Hollow that killed his parents. He was accepted into the academy at around age 9, and was quite exceptional in his classes, particularly at Flash Steps and Bakudo. However, something always made him feel out of place: his Zanpakuto took the form of a heavy saber in its sealed state. This made combat training more difficult, as everyone else had a Japanese sword of some type, forcing him to improvise. Fortunately, his analytical abilities were fairly strong, and he kept up well enough to pass. He dreams to meet his parents again after the threat of Hollows has passed.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Kinyoru (Gold Night)
[b]Shikai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences)[/b] Yorukin has three commands: Shout, Howl, and Rend. Uttering the first while the sword strikes something hard (such as a stone wall or another blade) causes it to super-amplify the sound, then focus it in one direction as a solid blast. This is generally enough to knock an opponent away. The second command is much less focused--Yorukin amplifies the slightest sound to extreme levels and resonate it all around. The user can also hear it, so Sasayaku has trained himself to plug his ears with spiritual pressure whenever he uses this. The third command can only work when all three of the blades are piercing the opponent. The sword will amplify the target's heartbeat, sending the resultant hypersonic waves through their bloodstream. Using this, however, is very exhausting, and leaves Yorukin in its sealed state until Sasayaku recovers.
[b]Shikai Appearance: (Pic or 3-5 Sentence Description)[/b] Effectively, the saber blade disappears, the handle grows a little larger, and three English sword blades come out of the basket guard. Each is about 2 1/2 feet long, with the two on the sides being a little shorter. The center blade is perpendicular to the handle, with the other two poking out about 15 degrees away.
[b]Bankai Name:[/b] Kingetsu ni Hoeru (Howl to the Gold Moon)
[b]Bankai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences)[/b] This bankai is unique in that he loses his sword and merges with his Zanpakuto's spirit. While in this form, he gains additional speed and strength, as well as heightened senses. However, the most notable ability he gains is that he can control his voice at will, to any extent. This includes, but is not limited to: volume control, voice imitation, real ventriloquism, making only certain people hear him, multiple voices at once, sonic blasts, etc. However, he can only maintain the transformation for about 20 minutes before running out of spiritual power.
[b]Bankai: Appearance: (Pic or 3-5 Sentence Description)[/b] Yorukin's spirit is a golden-furred wolf. Imagine Captain Komamura, but smaller, gold-furred, and a different outfit. You also can't see the sword's sheath while he's in this form.

[b]Name:[/b] Po Karasu
[b]Gender:[/b] Male
[b]Bio:[/b] A very glum Soul Reaper, he has very pale skin, hair as black as night styled into spikes and long bangs, and grey eyes that have thick circles underneath them. He is garbed in the classic Captain's uniform, and has a black scabbard for his blade. He seems quite emotionless, but is actually the joker, and enjoys playing very dangerous pranks on his subordinates (which leads to one of highest peacetime mortality rates in the Soul Society!). He is also a big fan of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, and will get on your case in a heartbeat of you disgrace him. Beneath that glum exterior is the mind of a genius, inventing the popular "Boost Candy", a small candy-like item that instantly replenishes your spiritual energy.
He also has a shoulder pad, which is occupied by Tiamat, a very powerful and very old Adjuchas-class Hollow. She takes the form of a small 2-foot long armored Hollow desert lizard, but used to be a powerful dragon 100 times her current size until Po defeated her in battle. She now serves him as his aid, and, since she's been around for centuries, she knows many Kido techniques, making up for Po's lack in Kido training.
His Zanpakuto, "Hime", takes the form of a scanity-clad geisha-like woman with silver hair, pale skin, and deep blue eyes clothed in a black kinono with a black rubber bodysuit underneath. She is incredibly sadistic, and doesn't care who she fights, as long as she gets "fed".
Po took over for an increasingly demented Mayuri and inherited the secret project that drove the man (completely) insane. Nemu decided to stay as Lieutenant, and there are fireworks between the two. Po is still getting used to being in charge, since he is a newer captain, along with the new 3rd, 5th, and 9th Company Captains.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Kuroishibu no Hime("Princess of the Black Branch")
[b]Shikai Abilities:[/b] The sword's primary ability is that she feeds off of spiritual energy, like a Bakkoto. When the sword stabs her victim, it will take root in them and drain them of their energy, making them look dehydrated and decrepit before finally killing them, causing their body to wither away into dust. Sadly, this also effects her master, so Po invented "Boost Candy", a special type of Soul Candy that gives the user an instant boost of spiritual energy. He has to take these regularly, otherwise he will succumb to his own blade's effect. It can also grow rapidly at the expense of its master, forming various blades and whips. Also, Koruishibu no Hime can be stabbed into the ground, draining the life force and spiritual energy of the surrounding landscape. If this occurs, nearby plants will wither and die.
[b]Shikai Appearance:[/b] The right sleeve of Po's uniform has been torn off so not only can the effects of Po's Shikai be seen, but so the sleeve doesn't have to be repeatedly repaired. In its unrealeased from, his sword takes the form of a botuko, or wodden sword, made of a black wood, but, when she releases, the sword digs into his arm and roots herself in it, causing thorns and branches to painfully sprout from his skin. The blade's thorns are very sharp, and can pierce even the thickest Hollow hide. Po can shape Kuroishibu no Hime into various shapes, such as an axe or a meat cleaver. Also, Po can go a bit further and fully encase his right arm in wood, totally merging his limb with the blade.
[b]Bankai Name:[/b] Kuroishiburyu no Hime no Obuliettu ("Oubliette of the Princess of the Black Branch Dragon")
[b]Bankai Abilities:[/b] The dragon has the ability to suck the spiritual energy out of the surrounding area, causing plants to die and the ground to decay in the area. Just being near the Bankai causes anyone to fell gradually weaker. The dragon can regenerate at will, and has the ability to "eat" others. The "eaten" will appear on the back side of the "cage", there clothing removed and their arms and lower body encased. They serve as "backup batteries", and experience massive pain as there energy is gradually drained. When they are finished, the dragon will absorb them into itself and they will stay in the belly of the beast until the Bankai is destroyed. The dragon's tail can also sprout blades and thorns and shoot thorn-tipped tendrils at its foes to drag them back to be "eaten". However, due to the fact that the Zanpakuto consumes so much of its master's energy, it can only be used safely for a short period of time, with each Boost Candy, which normally gives a Soul Reaper much more power, adding a couple of minutes to the time limit.
[b]Bankai: Appearance:[/b] The blade consumes his body as it transforms into a large dragon-like creature made out of black wood. The head can easly swallow a human whole, and has a long fleshy tongue with Tiamat attached to the end. About 20 feet down the body from the head is a ribcage-like contraption in which Po is trapped inside. His clothes are gone, but everything from the waist-down is encased in wood. Underneath his skin, one can see what looks like black veins. His arms are similarly encased.
A naked woman with pale skin, silver hair, and deep blue eyes is behind him, comforting him through his terrible ordeal. The woman is also connected to the dragon in a similar manner, and her breasts are against Po's back. This woman is the manifestation of Po's zanpakuto, helping him through the massive pain of the parasitism.
On the dragon's spine next to the "cage" are many tree-like root-wings with black petals that function like feathers. There are also several tentacles that serve as appendages.
The body, shortly after the "cage", contorts and spirals into a long 75-foot-long tail with many spikes. The tail can unwind to be almost infinitely long.

[b]Bio: (4-7 Sentences)[/b] Kisuke Urahara was living peacefully in Karakura town for the past few years. He remained the owner and manager of the Urahara Shinigami Shop. It was untill Kisuke had gotten word of Ichigo's mysterious appearance into Soul Society all bloodied and battered that Kisuke began working with Soul Society on a regular bases again. He was asked to help teach new recruits the ways of a Shinigami and to help them gain Bankai. Since Kisuke is the inventor of the Tenshintai, it was quite obvious the Soul Society would most likely need his help. Along side Yourichi and the Captain of the Royal Guards He began the training of the new recruits.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Benihime
[b]Shikai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences)[/b] Benihime is capable of producing various crimson-colored energy techniques. Kisuke can perform these abilities of Benihime's by a variety of different verbal commands that corresponds to its different abilities.

Nake, Benihime (啼け紅姫, Sing, Crimson Princess; "Scream" in the English dub): This technique is Benihime's offensive ability. It fires particularly strong and destructive crimson-colored energy blasts. He is also shown to control these blasts, and can even change the shape, size, and intensity of them. This ability was powerful enough to match Ichigo's improvised Getsuga Tenshō without tiring; and easily cancel out Cero and Bala blasts from the Espada Yammy Llargo by striking it head-on with this attack after he was able to study the amount of power it took to use it.

Chikasumi no Tate (血霞の盾, Blood Mist Shield): Benihime's defensive ability forms an hexagonal-shaped "blood mist shield" in front of Urahara. The barrier is called out with the same command as the offensive attack. The barrier is able to easily block a direct punch from the immensely strong Yammy Llargo with no repercussions to Urahara and block Ichigo's first use of his Getsuga Tenshō while only slightly eroding, after which Urahara comments that he would have lost an arm were it not for the shield.

Shibari, Benihime (縛り紅姫, Binding, Crimson Princess): This technique condenses the energy generated by Benihime into the form of a tangible blood red net, generated from the blade length and simply thrown over the intended target (typically from above) with a simple slashing motion from Behinime. The net further binds and restricts an opponents movements by constricting to its form. This net appears elongated and somewhat narrow.

Hiasobi, Benihime, Juzutsunagi (火遊 紅姫 数珠繋, Fire-Playing, Crimson Princess, Beaded Mesh): Upon using the Shibari technique Urahara stabs the net generated by the technique with the tip of Benihime creating orbs of fire along the outside length of the net, which explode like linked land-mines in a domino formation leading toward the intended target that is bound under the net. The grip has a gentle decorative bend that ends at a crimson tassel dangling from the pommel. Instead of a crossguard, there is a U-shaped decoration covering the first three or four inches of blade, with a flower petal design just as it meets a red string wrapping. The string is wrapped thrice around the hilt, with a three-loop bow on one side and a folded paper decoration on the other. Benihime's blade is straight and slim, though somewhat short, with the tip ending in a slanted razor-like edge instead of being tapered to a point.

[b]Bio:[/b] Yoruichi has partially taken over the Urahara Shop in Kisuke's absence, since she feels ashamed to go back to the Soul Society to help a new generation combat the Hollows. This has led to a bit of friction between her and Urahara. She also serves as a substitute school teacher at Karakura High School, Ichigo's old stomping grounds. She mainly helps Kisuke by giving the new recruits some experience in the field, and with Karakura Town's history of being a major gathering place for Hollows, she can defeat the growing numbers of corrupted souls and teach the youngsters how you defeat Hollows in the human world.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Ganjikurohyou ("Gear Panther")
[b]Shikai Abilities:[/b] Yoruichi's Shikai has an interesting ability. Whenever she goes above a certain speed, the mechanical device inside of her shoulder pad winds up. The faster she goes, the more it winds and winds and winds. When she attacks, she can then curl her hand into a fist to deliver a powerful blast of purple energy out of the gem on her panther's head-shaped guard. The more the device is wound up, the more powerful the blast. Afterwards, the device resets and goes back to normal.
[b]Shikai Appearance:[/b] Ganjikurohyou becomes a gauntlet and a shoulder pad with a set of floating gears connecting the two. Both of them are black with gunmetal accents. The shoulder pad has a glass circle on it showing a strange device, while the gauntlet has a panther's head-shaped hand guard and 4-inch knife-like "claws" on the ends of Yoruichi's black-gloved hand. She mainly uses the claws for slicing at her opponent.

Bio: (4-7 Sentences) He always liked to be the center of attention to he ended up learning magic. So every day he practiced it until one day he pulled a really dangerous trick. It messed up so his parents needed to go in and save him, but they died in the process. After that the all he turn to was to be a soul reaper which he ended up becoming, after a few struggles of course. He always fooled around in his training and seemed as if he was never going to become a soul reaper. At the end they saw that his shikai had almost unstoppable powers; well at least that's what they thought.
Zanpakuto Name: Genkaku Shoshinsha (illusion novice)
Shikai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences) They may seem difficult but in reality the abilities are really simple. All it does is create illusion of anything that he then uses as a weapon. He can't really do any damage with the illusion so he uses them as distractions so he can land a hit. If he were to actually hit, he would make it miss or make it disappear as if he ran out of spiritual energy. Like that he can keep the "illusion" going that he has ultimate strength. The illusions still create a spiritual pressure depending on how much strength he wants the opponent to think it has. So it seems that they are real which is usually what wastes his own spiritual energy and makes him tired.

Bankai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences) His bankai is a little more complicated than his shikai. When he creates illusions he actually becomes part of them so they can actually become real, but they are only as powerful as he is. It doesn't matter how tough looking it is or how much spiritual pressure it is emitting. When he creates illusions he disappears and then the illusion happens. What is regularly done is multiple illusions are made for example three dragons. With all three he will be able to land a hit since he doesn't get any stronger. Also it does tire him out a lot faster because he needs to keep his illusions in from disappearing while staying merged with the illusion itself.
Bankai: Appearance: (Pic or 3-5 Sentence Description) Its hard to stretch it out to three sentences since his weapon is the same its just he gets two and they are six feet long instead of the original four.
PS: So in the end he either intimidates the opponents and scares them away or wins by landing cheap shots.

He is impressed by Akira's mastery of Kido, and has decided that, after whatever happened has been sorted, he will offer to teach Akira more in the way of Kido.

[b]Shikai Abilities: (5-8 Sentences)[/b] The release phrase is: Enchant, U~ōrokku. Tessai's Shikai is a Kido Based Shikai, which appearence barely changes, only allowing the user to unsheath it from the Shakujo it is sealed in. It does nothing to increase the weilders strength or physical abilities, but increases their Kido prowess ten-fold, which on Tessai Makes him incredibly strong. It also allows the weilder to summon elemental attacks from the blade its self.

[b]Bio:[/b] Omushiba Jesreck was once human and was killed at a concert he was playing when a stage light fell on his head and destroyed his brain; killing him instantly. He was then brought into the soul society and was ready to start his new "life." Back when he was in the real world he loved to dance and move and exercise like he was forever young. His days of hard training were just beginning though. He wanted to stand for something though, something honorable and good so he took on all the training tasks with a smile yet even he will admit that he wanted to topple over and always slept lock a rock after work was done. Upon receiving his Katana he admittedly had no idea what it was nor how to work but with time he too even had a good grasp on that; still with his smile and good cheer to motivate not only himself but everyone around him.
[b]Zanpakuto Name:[/b] Butoukai, Release Phrase is: Solo, Butoukai!
[b]Shikai Abilities:[/b] Butoukai can make several different attacks and status effects from the songs and melodies played. For instance with one of his melodies he could bake a sonic boom or a gust of wind. And with others he could increase someones speed, strength, or even heal him. The down side to his shikai is that the non-attacking abilities of his shikai do not effect the player, and with each melody or song played he takes damage over time; making it hard for him to have Butoukai in shikai form for long periods of time.
[b]Shikai Appearance:[/b] Butoukai changes, sheath and sword, and an acoustic guitar in which Omushiba makes his melodies from. The bottom of the guitar resembles almost a figure eight shape and the tuning nobs are gilded and when turned and shifted make the status effects and attacks change. The strings of the guitar are six shining silver strands of beauty.
[b]Bankai Name:[/b] Bankai! Take the Stage, Butoukai!
[b]Bankai Abilities:[/b] While in this form Butokai's abilities are more destructive and fierce and reflect on a bigger scale.
When all three isntruments are playing in conjunction with each other a barrier is erected to shield and nullify enemy attacks.
When just the guitar is playing lightning bolts rain down from the sky and hit opponents, the lightning bolts cannot be aimed so therefore could hit the stage and the players.
When just the bass is playing tornadoes can be formed and thrown at the opponents, although the winds are very powerful and destructive the tornadoes are slow and can be dodged if the opponent makes the right move.
When just the drums are playing huge earthquakes begin to happen and engulf the opponents in an earthy grave, again these quakes can't be aimed and could hit the stage and players.
[b]Bankai: Appearance:[/b] A huge stage rises from the ground made of rock and a base and drum-set are shown on the stage; these positions are filled by skeletons that rise with the stage and are wearing pitch black robes with blood red rubies for eyes. Butoukai itself is changed to an electric guitar where the tuning nobs are now silver plated and the strings are bright gold. The bottom of it changes from the shape of figure 8 to a V-shaped base. Butoukai is plugged into an electric amp that is also on the stage when is arises from the ground.
