001. Alowum - Ah-low-um Aloe (Type of plant) + Phloem (living tissue that carries organic nutrients to the rest of plant)

The Gliding Leaf Pokemon

It's the starting grass Pokemon for my region, "Elment" (In which there are about 109 Pokemon). It evolves into Deciding (Deciduous + Wing), which then evolves into Leatyl (Leaf + [ptera]Dactyl).

004. Flambi - Flaam-bee Flame + Bambi (famous deer, ohnoez)

The Flaming Deer Pokemon

The starting fire Pokemon for my region. It evolves into Flamadoe (Flammable + Doe) which then evolves into Vesuveer (Vesuvius (Famous volcano) + Deer).

So far those are the only ones I have finished the drawing of. The rest are only sketches on paper, but I look forward to working on them soon. Comments, crits, questions and the like are all welcome. ^^

Maybe if you made them a tad bigger, it would be easier to see all the details. They could be Pixel-Overs, but I doubt it since you said they're not sprites. Anyways, they look pretty good. Kind of blurry to my eyes because they're really small though.

Effort: 8/10

Originality: 7/10

Skill: 8/10

Look: 9/10

Total: 32/40

Sum: 8/10

Good job.

Drawn + colored on the computer with a mouse. They prolly could have been better if I had a tablet. :/

sorry to sound as a n00b but what is a "tablet"..

A tablet is a relatively expensive bit of technology that you hook up to your computer, and it has a touch-sensitive pen on a tablet-like (touch-sensitive) screen. It's like a mouse, only with a pen. Which is why it's good for artists and the like.

Gah! Jealousy! My sister has one too. And a scanner.

All I have is a printer...

Without a USB cord.

So it's pretty darn useless.

Awesome! These are believable. Seriously.

I have a tablet. But it takes an hour to set up, is only set up on my computer, and my computer crashed. I'm getting the computer fixed in a couple of days. But the computer lacks GIMP resources, and hasn't got CS3. So in a way, I kinda know how you feel.
