Pokémon Red & Blue

The suns rays shone beautifully through the window in Red's room. Red's eyes slowly opened, and he sat up, soon realising it was the day he was waiting for for like, forever! It was the day he got his first Pokémon. He forgot all about it until today, so he had no idea which one to pick. Bulbasaur looked like an awesome partner, the little green dinosaur with a powerful Vine Whip! Yeah! That was the way to go! But, what about Charmander? It was a fierce battler, an orange lizard with a tiny flame on it's tail with a terrifying Ember attack, YES! That had to be the one! But, then there was Squirte. It was the cutest one, a blue turtle with a nice shell on its back, with an awesome Water Gun! THAT WAS IT! But Bulbasaur.... Hmm... It was almost impossible to choose, all 3 were the best. Red decided to just pick one at random at Oak's Lab. Speaking of which, he had 5 minutes to get ready and go there!
Red shut the door of his nice house. It was a fantastic day. The sun reflected in the calm water, the sun's rays were also reflecting through the trees surrounding the town, a perfect day. But there was no time to adore the scenery, Red had to make it to Oak's Lab! He soon arrived though, and noticed his Rival, Blue walking down the stone steps leading from the laboratory.
'Hey there loser!' Said Blue.
'You're one to talk' Red quickly replied.
'Actually, I'm the one who has a Pokémon and you are not!' Said Blue looking rather smug.
Red was filled with half anger and half sadness, there were only 2 Pokémon left.
'Anyway, I'll be the one to become the Champion of Kanto before you, smell ya' later!'
Blue walked off laughing at Red. Red got filled with a little more anger.
'So there you are!'
Red turned back around to see Professor Oak.
'I didn't think you would come Red.'
'Oh, sorry I'm a little bit late, but the important thing is that I'm here now! Are there any Pokémon left?' Red asked eagerly.
'Only 2. Blue took 1 of the 3. Which one do you want?' Oak asked.
'I don't know. I'll have a lucky dip!'
Oak chuckled.
'Ok then. Let's go inside.'

Red stood in front of the nice green table and stared at the 2 PokéBalls.
'Ok, take your pick!' Oak said.
Red looked from PokéBall to PokéBall. He felt excitement filling him up. As he reached out his arm, he could feel it wobble with excitement.
'I pick... THIS ONE!' Shouted Red lifting up a PokéBall.
Red pressed the round button on the middle of it and it opened to a white light. The white light took the form of a Pokémon.
'Char!' Said the Pokémon as it rubbed its eyes and looked at Red. Red's face turned into an instant smile as he picked up Charmander and hugged it.
'It's the best one!' He said happily.
'Ok then Red. Take it over to Viridian City. It should start to warm up with you a little.'
'Thanks so much Professor. Is it ok if I let it walk beside me?' Said Red.
'If you want Red.' Oak smiled.
So Red walked outside with Charmander. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see Blue standing at the bottom of the stairs.

'Blue? What are you doing here?' Asked Red confused.
'I decided to wait for you. So I could challenge you to a battle!'
'A Battle? I accept!' Red Replied.
Red let Charmander go in front. Blue took out his PokéBall and threw it out. A Squirtle emerged.
'So you got a Squirtle then?' Red said, 'Ok, let's do this!'
'TACKLE!' Commanded Blue. Squirtle ran towards Charmander and slammed against it. Charmander got flung back a bit.
'Charmander, use Tail Whip!' Red asked. Charmander spun its tail around and hit Squirtle.
'Is that all you got? No damage for a first attack? Ok then, this should be fun!' Blue said in an attitude as if he had already won.
'The battle isnt over until the last Pokémon is down!' Red replied.
'Whatever. Squirtle, use Tackle again.' Blue said as Squirtle tackled Charmander again.
'Tackle it back Charmander!' Charmander obeyed, and slammed into Squirtle. Squirtle looked more hurt, and dizzy.
'Use another Tackle, Squirtle!' Blue asked, but Squirtle looked confused.
'Hit it again Charmander!' Red said, as Charmander finally knocked out the turtle Pokémon.

'Squirtle, return.' Blue said as he brought it back onto his shoudler, 'Good battle Red. But next time it's me.'
Blue turned around and walked off towards Route 1. Red looked at the afternoon sky, and then left Pallet Town, heading towards Viridan City.
