-Griffin
|Zen Balance| |Continuous Spell Card| |The original ATK and DEF of all cards become the average of their printed ATK and DEF. Your opponent takes no battle damage during the turn you activate this card. When this card is removed from the field, draw 1 card.| So yeah. It just seems like one of those really interesting tech-y things. TBH, DEF sometimes seems so worthless that, off the top of my head, I can't list much of what this card does. It hits Monarchs quite hard, leaves Doomcal strong, doesn't damage Stardust greatly, kinda fun in GKs I'd guess, but are there any cards/decks that would really benefit from this? I thought it'd be interesting to pose as a little game for Written Cards to detail the possible uses of this. Gogogo. Link to comment
.Nu-13
So for example if monster's stats are 2000/100, its stats become 1050/1050? Link to comment
-Griffin
Yes, exactly like that. Link to comment
.Nu-13
I honestly don't see any deck benefitting from this Link to comment
-Griffin
Not one Deck that tends to have above-average DEF? Gravekeepers get a 1600 ATK Spy without Valley, and 2100 ATK with, and a Guard with 1450/1950, which is kinda cool. Maybe as a side against Blackwings and Flamvells? You sure you can't think of anything else that could run it? =/ Link to comment
.Nu-13
Well, Exodd comes to mind. It would have 2000/2000 at that time, so it can be a decent beater + burner... Link to comment
-Griffin
Eh. Flip Summon Rocks.dek seem to have such DEF-heavy stat distribution that I think this'd actually hinder them. Link to comment
I am Fate. Embrace me.
Not bad. A card with high DEF but sucky ATK would benefit. Like Flamvell Guard? Or Woodborg Inpachi? Link to comment
Mysty
Defender, the Magical Knight now looks really cool, given its stats become 1800 and it even has a protection effect. Cyber Dragon still tops it at 1850 Many "aggressive" monsters have low DEF and many "defensive" monsters have very low DEF. However, when compared, the defensive monsters generally seem to have the upper hand in this area. case in point. I don't know what deck would most benefit from this, since "defensive" isn't really a deck. This card definitely achieves its goal of making DEF matter though, so I applaud you on that. -Griffin
I think the problem is that it isn't able to make 'defensive' a Deck due to low searchability/recovery/staying power. Link to comment
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
As for the card, I like it. The OCG looks.. untidy. Printed ATK and DEF just looks weird. And the added draw on destruction just seems a disjointed convenience. But still it is very simple and puts the skids on beatsticks like Goyo Guardian and such. It also hampers the defence of walls like D Hero Defender and other stallers. As for its use, not sure if there is any practical use, but still a good card. Link to comment
