South Park of course. All that "vote" for Family Guy can go f*** a monkey. Family Guy is not funny. They have stole every idea from Simpsons. South Park do not steal

you realize you're saying that because during the Roast of David hasslehoff, they said the same exact thing.

i enjoy both taste in humor, family guy is just for when you want a cheap laugh (delivery of opinions on a controversal issue sux though, exactly why no one takes the FCC song seriously) and south park is almost the same except if you not only lookin for dead brain cells south park has a better delivery in tackling controversal issues

in fact our ap government class uses episodes of south park to teach about congress, the making of the constitution, media and many other things.

of course if you're a conservative then you'd prefer family guy over south park (family guy being more censored) but if you're a moderate of any party or a liberal most of you would probably like south park better and not even know exactly why.

I have not seen that roast. Family Guy is not funny at all. They steal everything from Simpsons. Even the characters are almost based of from Simpsons. I hate Family Guy. South Park is awesome though. The only thing that is better than South Park is Star Wars

Even Telletubies is better than Family Guy

Both are great. SWF....we get it, you like Star Wars.

South Park does go into controversial issues like previously said. Family Guy is not the Simpsons. The baby talks and wants to kill Lois, Brian talks, the kids are teens, and there are more funny flashbacks. The Simpsons have nothing on Family Guy.

Why can't American Dad be in this? that show's funny too...

Hmmm Star wars guy, have you ever seen the Simpsons did it south park episode?, or the 1 where butters is getting thought to be a gentleman simpsons did same with willy or the 1 about family guy and bart simpson was in it? Please have a think before you bash a show for copying, Most things have been done before it doesn't matter stop complaining and just enjoy the mostly senseless but almost always hilarious humor both shows offer.

Family Guy is largely hit and miss. Looking at the older eps, the show was good, but the recent batch have just been stupid. The ep where Brian and Stewie get looked in the safe is a great example. If half the ep wasn't gross out hummer it would have been a good ep, but because they killed it by having stupid crap like Brain eating Stewie's crap it really failed. Also, the fact that most of the joke have nothing to do with the plot doesn't help.

I know there have been a few "Simpson" stuff in SP as you mentioned. But they do not steal from Simpsons (the storyline or what you call it) as family guy do. And Family Guy doesn't make the things they steal Funny

I can honestly tell you although Family Guy is funny, South Park is hilarious with laughs-a-minute humor. However, the reason I voted Family Guy is because it doesn't rely on Jewish jokes and swear-spewing kid for humor. Does it contain them? Yes. Do they constantly use it as a crutch? No.
+1 Family Guy
...
Oh, and it may help that my dad went to the same college as the show's creator and still has fond memories. He does not plan on using any inside jokes from the college days, though.

South Park was a humerous, albeit crude show when it began. Later on when it started focusing more on political stuff and current events as opposed to stupid plots, I personally liked it. I mean, it made ya' think and it was decently funny. Lately it's been a bit hit or miss. Heck, it seems all seasons have hit or miss episodes.

Family Guy used to be awesome. Then it got canceled. Then it came back and it was like... average, at best. Now, the show is just awful.

I mean, both of them have their own annoying preachy moral moments, but I think the difference is ultimately in the delivery and Family Guy just seems to slip up and fail completely at delivering it's moral message. I remember one recent-ish one with Quagmire's Dad that was... I'm not even sure if the episode was supposed to have a "pro-gay" or "pro-tolerance" agenda. It ends with the dog violently throwing up after realizing he had sex with a transsexual, and then being violently beat up for something he wasn't even aware of at the time.

Another episode that springs to mind is the one where Peter takes some medicine or something that turns him gay for a week. Apparently, the moral of the story is to follow your heart and chase after what you believe, however Peter was only conditioned to believe it due to the drugs he took, and he abandoned his wife, kids, and previous lifestyle to be with another man. Sure, the overall vibe of the message might have been a parody, done in such an over the top manner that even the rightest of right wings wouldn't think that all gay men are really like this but... eh. I feel if it was trying to support a "pro gay" agenda, it did a poor job of it.

Between the entirely unlikeable cast, and the stupid moments that seem to trip up and ruin the agenda they're trying to push, Family Guy is significantly worse then South Park.

... In my opinion.

After a bit of time, you learn to realize Family Guy is just stupid. It isn't even funny anymore, and most of the humor appears forced. But South Park always looked like absolute garbage. I saw several episodes of it already to give it a chance, but my opinion stands how it does. I think they're both stupid, but I honestly think South Park is worse between the two. They're still neither funny after two episodes.
