Dark Souls and Demon Souls aren't related, I'm pretty sure of that. I still giggle at what the developers for Dark Souls did to those who got the game before it was officially released.

Side note: I figured out how to stop the reincarnation thing you do Jake :P

Dark Souls is the spiritual successor to Demon Souls, very sequelish... except for the part about having a sequel story... since strictly speaking they don't have much of one. They both as hard as hell... except again, the patch for Dark Souls made it SIGNIFICANTLY easier... which sucks.

Jake's sona can reincarnate itself; as apparantly, whenever his body dies his soul goes to limbo where it gets a time-out for an unspecified time then comes back in a new body exactly like the old one.

Of course, being who I am I figured out the means to effectively put a stop to that.

That's because you wouldn't think that the easiest way would be the right way.

Souls, they cannot regenerate, you never get a new one and for what I can understand, seeing as how your soul is the spiritual reflection of your appearance, would act as a schematic for the new body. If say, the heart was cut from the soul, when the body was remade after reincarnating, the heart would be missing and the body would die. Effectively, by removing a vital element from the soul, the cycle is broken because the body dies as soon as the soul reinhabits it.

His soul is pushed away from his body basically, so you could make the body spiritually unrecognizable. The soul and body share a connection like blood-brothers, which is something you need to destroy in the process or simply seal it. That is pretty basic, but Jake is not too idiotic to find out how to get rid of it. Which he he does find out, he cannot pass through a seal without a surrogate, so it is faintly impossible.

So basically like an infinite death loop? Revived only to die right away.

*smacks face* I knew I was overthinking things. I usually end up like that, thinking "Oh, no, that's too easy. Surely it wouldn't be quite so simple to accomplish." Then I go at it the hard way and find out the easy way really did work. <_<

That is correct, cool huh?

Also, what I said about souls regenerating isn't exactly true I guess. Doing acts of evil is said to damage the soul, murder being the worst. But seeking true repentance is what repairs the damage that was self-inflicted.

Granted, you cannot repair what you yourself did not cut, as it were.

*raises hand*

Uh actually, while bounding my soul would prevent me from regaining a body . . . I am more consciousness and energy than just pure soul. Also killing me counts, always will, because if I come back I am weaker for a time because I was just revived; kind of like using a Revive on a Pokemon instead of a Max Revive (only example I could think of)
