Desu the Blue Nerd
Oh joy, lucky bastard >.> But I knew that :/ But you find out exactly why. Quite frankly I just wish people would stop using Harry Potter sh*t for Latin Moments (weekly extra credit thing) yet my "Et tu, Brute" Battlefield 2 achievement doesn't work. F*ck you, Circe. <_< By the way, that sounds pretty cool, Thar.
Simping For Hina
I don't fully agree though, they break too easily that way, won't they?PVC Pipe should be used as a frame for the sword, foam around it and other items for decals and details. At the end, it said "Avada Kedavra". I feel bad now, it was written and handed in a week before my teacher's mother died.
Thar
I don't fully agree though, they break too easily that way, won't they? PVC Pipe should be used as a frame for the sword, foam around it and other items for decals and details. A generic LARP sword is basically just PVC and pool noodles wrapped in generic duct tape. I take it a step higher. Regarding breakage, the duct tape keeps the foam from tearing. In fact, it's pretty hard to break if you have it wrapped right. The Warden
Pop quiz then, what does: 'Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori' mean? My dream is to have my RP swords actually made into real ones. It would be satisfying to actually have them, and fulfil minor fantasies.
Desu the Blue Nerd
Pop quiz then, what does: 'Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori' mean? B*tch, I told you my Latin is terrible. I can't do this very well on the spot.

Thar
My dream is to have my RP swords actually made into real ones. It would be satisfying to actually have them, and fulfil minor fantasies. Then my advice would be to invest in a bunch of raw materials like crystals and various iron alloys for hilts, and stainless steel for blades. Then you might as well invest in a furnace for shaping. What about rp swords and making them real? ?(8 .) The conversation was about weapons for LARP, then Broken said he wanted real weapons to fulfill his fantasies. IMO, foam weapons are more useful. The Warden
I have two blades I designed, a little conventional in designs, but I prefer their purpose over looks... somewhat.
Thar
Btw Broken, that Latin phrase means "It is sweet and fitting to die for one's country", which is a line in a Latin poem Odes by Roman lyrical poet Horaces. lolusingwikipediaforeverything :
Jake the Sage
Oh Live Action Role Playing. Sad that I might actually do that once or twice given the chance (>>) And I have a real Reverse Blade Sword and two Chinese Hook Swords. All I am really missing from "roleplay weapons" is the razor wire . . .

I loved being a giant owl-bear with two swords for claws. :
The Warden
A LARP would be fun, my location is rife with private spots, sadly, I know no one who would do that, oh well. I was fond of thta poem ever since I read it, just the use of it in such a sarcastic way is so nice.
Jake the Sage
Well think about it. It is one thing to actually write it and what not, another thing to go and do it for an entire day (for the most part) But mostly I am thinking about the stereotypical LARP player. *shrugs* Either way given the chance I would. Jake the Sage
Yup pretty much. Though Role Models makes me think, "what if we used my cousin's bronko and made it into a dragon?"
The Warden
I would love to play the villain in a LARP, it would be a lot of fun and I can really bring out the sinister in me, or sinistar.

Jake the Sage
*shrugs* Hey we all did something along those lines. Even when we were kids none of can't deny running around the house pretending to be a part of something else or going to the beach and destroying sand castles as a giant monster. Full face make-up, stick-on horns, and a goth outfit and you have yourself the perfect LARP villain. :3 The closet I've done to LARPing is RPing with a few friends in my parent's basement...oh god, that sounded SO nerdy... Thar
We did that as a joke. Definitely sounds like something a bunch of college kids would do. I gotta get myself arrested one of these days for doing something like that. x3
Jake the Sage
We've never been arrested. Even when my brother told the drug cops that the McDonald's cup was a bong )T_T) not even kidding. And that was family, not college kids. We don't need to be in college to do crazy sh*t like that. Just a good reason and the good possibility to get arrested.
Thar
You've got one awesome family. I'm jealous cause all I have is younger twin sisters with mainstream popularity, a psychologist mother that talks for hours at a time, and a control-freak dad whom shows affection for mom publicly JUST to embarrass us.
