My guess is he's gonna have someone from outside the club whose more mature than either of us to come and check on us.

That is, if my assumptions aren't failing me.

But now that Jake is sparingly attending to his position as club host because of other plans, what shall we do in the occasion of the holidays?

That's true, if you were intelligent you would've said Izaya and I.

He also would have said intelligent conversation.

Izaya is just sophisticated. What he says may sound smart, but all he does is milk out filler words to make it seem promising.

...and yes, I am putting my own hypocrisy on the line by saying this.

I think calling him sophisticated is a compliment. He really doesn't sound very smart at all. He just acts superior to others and his words prove it if that's what you mean.

That sounds about right, yes. But seeing as DD called me sophisticated, I wasn't sure which way to take it.

DD must be messed up in the head if he wasn't saying it sarcastically.

Okay. Occasionally, I can get mixed up. Me and X instead of X and I is just one of those rare things.

I just got a bit of praise from him.

He's just as much of an idiot as you. Except he's older than me so he has no excuse.

Well I didn't see any signs of sarcasm, so option A, probs.

And he does tend to get carried away with the whole "illusion of non-existence" thing.
