If it were up to me, I'd be perfectly willing to let you have Raidramon as your Perfect/Ultimate partner (Henceforth called Perfect), with your Rookie partner being any canine Rookie of your choosing.

I'd say it's time for a change anyway, BH, at least four of us (You, me, Roxas, and whatever Merciful's name is now) have had their partners since before Xros Wars was announced, so there's a whole seasonish worth of mons that weren't around back then.

Like say Baalmon and Beelzemon, at least the former of which I want since Trimage already has the latter (Mind changing to Tamers edition, Trimage?) so I can use my new sig on this site.

BH: Except near as I can tell in canon, it takes you to Perfect or even Champion (ZeekGreymon probably being an exception since he starts at Perfect, but he may be the same level as MetalGreymon regardless).

Astamon and Cho-Hakkaimon are both Perfects outside Xros Wars, while Yasyamon is an Armor, which is equated to Champion or Perfect, but in his case he's only ever been a Champion. The OP pairs up Astamon and Arresterdramon, Cho-Hakkaimon and OmegaShoutmon, and Yasyamon and Tuwarmon, suggesting that each pair is equal in power, and thus can be considered equal in level, meaning Arresterdramon and OmegaShoutmon are Perfects while Tuwarmon is either a Champion (Most likely) or a Perfect.

Stop making Dungeons and Digimon dammit!

Did someone ring the Pointless P&P RPG Project Bell? Because I think someone rang the P X 3 RG bell (say that out loud, it's cool)

In any case, give me Crabmon for my partner. Trust me, he'll turn into the consumer of dimensions soon enough...

Back to writing up a digimon Pen and Paper RPG, BRB.

(If you don't treat Dagomon as a Mega or at least a rather overpowered Perfect, I MAY have to spam your inbox with a transcript of the Shadow at Innsmouth. Then remind you that Dagomon is digimon Cthulhu literally.)

Dagomon has been officially designated as a Perfect whether you like it or not.

Hope you like Lovecraft.

(Okay, I admit it. This was all just an elaborate plot to force people in the club to read classical literature, so sue me.)

Nah, I don't really care. Still, making Perfect the standard designation Super Evolving goes to sounds like the smart move anyway, since at least half the competitors have chosen something at that level thus far. Or hell, just change it to assume that there are only two levels of Digimon: Normal and Super Evolved. That's what the show seems to do anyway.

On to topical things, I find it funny how Taiki is capable of almost instantly ending any battle that Xros Heart gets into. I mean, Shoutmon annihilated Gigabrakedramon without even evolving- whereas Arresterdramon was thrown around like a ragdoll. The battle ends the moment Taiki reaches for his Loader.

I mean, it makes perfect sense, but it makes it questionable even more why he isn't still our main protagonist. Well, I guess aside from the fact that his character development arc is already over...

Tagiru's the protagonist because he's desperate to prove himself and is basically going challenge as many mons as possible until he beats Taiki. Taiki's taking a back seat because he WANTS Tagiru to surpass him. Think back to the beginning of Xros Wars, Taiki never really wanted the spotlight, even when he kicked Zen's ass at kendo, and now he's famous across the Digital World for offing DarknessBagramon. He'd much rather Tagiru take the spotlight so he can go back to basketball. Only reason he jumps in now is because Tagiru would probably be dead 6 times over if he didn't. Basically, season 6 was Taiki turning from someone who shuns the spotlight to a war hero the likes of which Earth has never seen before, whereas season 7 is Tagiru changing from someone that steals the spotlight from others (Yuu mainly) too, hopefully, someone that actually deserves the spotlight.

Honestly, I would like it if this season culminated in Shoutmon naming Gumdramon as his heir and Taiki transferring the Xros Heart logo to Tagiru after a lot of character development on the part of the latter.

As for why he doesn't see Yuu as his successor, other than the fact that Damemon's still MIA, Yuu's motivation has always been to help people, not to rule them (DarkKnightmon notwithstanding). He's jealous of Tagiru because he still has Gumdramon, not because he wants to be the new leader of Xros Heart. Yuu's character arc this season seems to be angled towards friendship and finding his true friends (Beyond Taiki and Damemon)

Seems legit enough to me, which is why I added the character-development quantifier to the end. It just strikes me as a little odd to have a standard hero-arc... but with the standard hero's capable predecessor right next to him. It makes the Taiki-Tagiru-Yuu trio very strange indeed... which I think I like, considering it's a far different dynamic from every other digimon season yet.

Cutemon in the next episode, and presumably Yuu gets Damemon here going off of the silhouette in the trailer. Still bugged that we haven't even had a cameo shot of Zen, Akari or Nene despite the fact they've almost certainly been around (Heck, chances are they're still in Taiki's classroom, which we never saw a full shot off), just off camera. I don't think they should jump right in and be Hunters too this early in the season, but I'd at least like an acknowledgement that they still exist.

I'm half-thinking they're just stalling because they still haven't finalized the new designs of anyone but Taiki and Yuu from the previous season.

Except it's not a "standard hero-arc... but with the standard hero's capable predecessor right next to him". It's Taiki and Shoutmon grooming their successors to be deserving of their title. They're currently at step one: Make sure the successors are capable of putting their money where their mouths are and, for now at least, the answer is a decently vague no. MetalTyrannomon was all Tagiru's, sure, but Sagomon and GigaBreakdramon, IIRC, both required a decent amount of help from Shoutmon, while Arresterdramon/Xros Up Arresterdramon (Sagomon) was pretty superfluous to the Blossomon battle. I think that Taiki and Shoutmon are going to be hopping in last minute until Tagiru starts realizing that he'd be screwed without Taiki helping him out all the time.

Wow, I missed a lot and hmm I kinda like my mon but I will look around and see if there is anything I'd be willing to change to, maybe Starbimon to Ancient or MagnaGarurumon; I'd definetly change if he could slide between the 2 as his super evelution.

Also ye new guys would get crushed without Taiki and Shoutmon but it is also possible that they predict something bad is going to happen so they're trying to get Tagiru and Gumdramon to a usable level for when the time comes, and does anyone else feel that Arresterdramon makes agood champoin???

Who do you think will get Cutemon cuz I kinda want Yuu to get him, and do you think if Mervamon or Sparrowmon come they'd be with Yuu and on the same note Ignitemon.
